absolutely i can!

so, lia windwalker is a current-standing centurion for the blood legion. she’s cunning, sly, and enjoys getting under people’s skin. she wasn’t always this way – in her younger years, she was your standard patriotic charr, doing what was asked of her in the name of the legion without question. she was much more friendly, too, though she’s always been very inquisitive and intelligent. however, after losing a lot of the people around her and generally just suffering in legion life, lia became a lot more closed-off and keeps people at an arm's length; she’s still social and enjoys talking to people, but she’s much more secretive when it comes to herself. lia's patriotism and love for her legion has depleted, too, but she still takes pride in her heritage – just not as much as the did in her youth.

currently, lia’s spending her time in divinity’s reach, looking for a quiet place to settle and retire. retirement wasn’t her original plan for her life; ideally, as is with most charr, she’d have liked to die in some heroic battle maneuver, but she was just too good on the field to die in such  a way. if things were going lia’s way, she’d still be out fighting whatever nonsense the legions tossed her way, but.. things got complicated when iovitus – her cub – was expelled from the legions. her fellow centurions & the legionnaires that served under her were much more critical of lia’s behavior and questioned her skills, and the pressure was mounting for her to step down or retire. at her age (she’s in her late fifties/early sixties ish) she figured retirement was probably the easier of the two choices. lia also couldn’t bear the shame of stepping down from her post, and hoped retirement would look better on her records. 

iovitus and lia’s relationship is complicated at best. they were close when iovitus was younger – they were/are lia’s only surviving cub, and lia wanted to ensure their education was the best it could be. iovitus’ time spent in and out of the infirmary called lia to visit them often, and when that wasn’t an option, the two of them would exchange letters frequently. following iovitus’ expulsion from the legions, though, lia felt as though they personally had betrayed her, and they fell out hard. any attempt iovitus made to recoup their relationship usually earned them a sharply-worded letter detailing how much lia wishes she'd never had them. thanks, mom!

heres a few miscellaneous fun facts about our beloved meemaw:

the left side of lia’s body and her entire left arm were burned severely in a fight against flame legion loyalists (details pending). she can still use her arm, but its lost all its fur and moves very stiffly.

she likes to wear rings & decorate her horns with gold inlays. she doesn’t wear them out very often, as most of the time she’s wearing a set of heavy armor, but she does enjoy jewelry from time to time.

her surname, windwalker, was stolen from a httyd dragon…. sorry guys

after iovitus’ father died, she never took to another partner, losing all interest in romance. she did not have any cubs after iovitus, either
