OK EVER SINCE YOU ANSWERED THE SAD SMARTY-POP EXCERPT, I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT DRAGON!TOON PATROL (and princess Poppy *cough*). Now that asks are open, I need to vent these thoughts.

I'm not entirely sure how they'd work in this AU. But all five of these dragons somehow found each other, and have decided its best to stay together. I can't decide if they hang around an abandoned, dilapidated castle or they've got a big cave in the mountains (maybe they could be the reason the castle was abandoned? 👀)

Smartass is the smallest dragon, but that only gives him more incentive to be as tough and viscious possible. It's how he can be the leader of these insane overgrown lizards.

Greasy is a sort of secondary leader, when for whatever reason Smartass isn't available to keep everyone in check. And even has been the mastermind behind some of their raids. One thing is for certain though; His tastes in the fairer sex go beyond scales (ladies? 👀)

Wheezy is the silent, scary one of the group with the best fire breather of them all. Dirty, kind of torn up, and smoke billowing from his mouth all times, this dragon's favorite places to terrorize/raid are tobacco farms (no cigarettes, but he can chew the stuff)

Psycho is the one who gets the most kicks out of striking fear in humans the most. While the others may be busy finding whatever goods that interest them in a village, Psycho can easily be found chasing the villagers.

Stupid, although the strongest and biggest, is the most easily swayed dragon out of them all. You could offer this big lug food, and he'll gladly take the bribe.

To keep with the gang theme, maybe these guys keep a few villages in line? If the people give them what they want, they'll be mostly left alone. (I'm not quite sure. I haven't though of much lore behind this AU 😅)

I'm not sure how Doom could come into play here. Maybe he could be a corrupt king that pays them to do his dirty work like in the Fairytale AU?

I don't have tid-bits for all the dragon boys, but here's one for Wheezy. I imagine that he can do some pretty neat tricks with his fire. Like blowing out certain shapes, or knowing how to control it where it won't burn you, but just leave a very hot tickle. Imagine him showing them off to you 👀

Alright, I wasn't sure if I should have included Poppy in this, but I feel obligated to share my thoughts XD Poppy is a princess who got married off to a prince who treats her coldly (Ben). When the dragons attacked her home, by some circumstance or another, she got taken (I'm not quite sure how yet. Maybe she was trying to be diplomatic and it all went wrong. Maybe it was Smartass just being cruel to the royals. Or maybe it was Greasy's idea because- you know why 🙄 or Psycho felt enamored with her). Either this can go in a classic Beauty and the Beast style, or a angsty/darker route.

Anyways, those are my thoughts! I hope dragon weasels bring you as much joy as they've been bringing me lately XD

Sorry for the late reply, I am finished with Placement but I still have assignments to finish and get before... well, the end of today 😅 Its okay though, I only have 2 left. I am very very excited to hear about dragons!!

First of all- YES to the idea of them causing a castle to be abandoned!! I can only imagine the chaos, but its glorious. These 5 terrifying, mean dragons deciding this place is their new place, and they have some fun with the humans there for a while (By which i mean Psycho and Greasy had fun with them... ) ... but when they escaped, that was fine, now they have the place to themselves! XD

Ahhhh! I love them!! || Smartass being kind of feral?? Like, I bet he's bigger then a human but he's smaller then the other dragons so he's so vicious-- that would be terrifying. I love that! || Greasy... Greasy lemme just quickly remind you I am a Certified monster fucker- || WHEEZY! Okay he is definitely my favourite. I'm imagining gassy, fumy smoke just slipping and rolling uncontrollably outta the corners of his mouth at all times, so he looks monstrous and gross. And just, the fact that you mentioned he'll chew the tobacco!! (Cowboy!!) and also the tricks! XD Yesssss, that's so cool XDD || OF COURSE you are the gremlin dragon, Psycho, of course XD I love this, its so perfect for him. I kindof imagine him to be a more lithe, lizard-like dragon. Creepy to be around, freaky to look at. Genuinely makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. || Awwww Stupid!! He is my next favourite after Wheezy XDD I wanna feed him so bad!! I wanna make him my huge terrifying dragon friend XD I will take a leaf out of Mrs Bickermans book XD Not Sadie's... though- maybe if I could get Ben- XD

And yes!! Always include Poppy! When in doubt, include her ^^ You knowwww she's canon to me XD And ahhhh! I love all those ideas, I honestly dunno which I like more <3

4. Whenever either of them can't sleep I think the other would stay up with them and try to help. They would 100% be making each other tea or some type of comforting snack. I feel like Yugi would be the one that would most often have trouble sleeping. Jou would break out some games or a puzzle they could work on together because he knows how relaxing it is for Yugi. If Jounouchi is ever having issues, I feel like it would be due to nightmares and would find more comfort by being near someone. I can see Yugi putting on one of Jou's favorite movies so they could cuddle on the couch.

43. Oh, it would initially be how much they touch each other. I think they would just be so hyper aware of how often they are near each other or touching each other. I think they would start to question themselves like "is it ok that I hugged him?" "Oh he's so close to me. Should I give him space?". There would be a momentary lapse in how much they do it. They'd get over that fairly quickly, though, and be all over each other again.

50. I think they both really love and appreciate those small act so much. But Jou. Oh, he loves them so much. When Yugi opens the door for him, makes him his coffee the way he likes it, puts on his favorite movie on a bad day...he absolutely melts. Someone caring enough to remember little things about him? Caring enough to put his needs first in some way? He will die for you. He will go to the ends of the Earth for whatever you need. I can absolutely see Jou saying I love you for the first time after Yugi brings him his favorite snack after a bad day. Of course he would immediately get caught up in how that was not how he wanted the first time he said it to go and he would possibly bolt from the area momentarily. Yugi absolutely adores this.

Thank you for sending these!! :) Fic writing asks: 3. Describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic

Usually what happens when I write fic is that I have an idea for a specific scene, image, or conversation. I'll write that scene first and then go back and write the intro and any continuing scenes (for instance, in 'Just Give Me Time', I wrote the attack on the Lars homestead first and then worked around it). I always write out of order, even when I have an outline for the fic. I generally *don't* outline though, or I'll only have a very rough draft if it's a long or multi-chapter fic. As an example for that, for 'Far Across the Distance' I have a rough outline of the basic events in each chapter, so I know approximately where I want to start and end each one. But for the most part I am very much a pantser when it comes to writing, which is another reason I think why it takes me so long to publish new chapters sometimes! I have a hard time working on fic unless I'm in that specific, creatively inspired headspace. 6. Do you have your work beta'd? How important is this to your process? Yes!! I started out without a beta for my first couple fics. The first time I worked with a beta was with @navigatorwrongway on "Like the Dawn". Now I work mainly with @mblogs, who generally betas everything I write nowadays, even if it's not dinluke, which is how we started. Usually I'll write a chunk of a new fic/chapter and then send what I have to M, get feedback and ideas for how to continue, and then write some more, send that, etc. We have a big Dinluke Fantasy AU project we've been working on for a while (the first 50k of it was my NaNoWriMo work in 2021) and for that especially, M has been absolutely essential in keeping the story together and reworking large sections to flow better and be better narratively. We're almost at 70k words now and I'm super pumped. I can't wait till it's eventually out in the world.

S - oh man, i'm such a sucker for tropes! Although they are young, they have survived previous wars, but this current war is the most difficult of all. This is a war of genocide, and the difficulty of the war lies in the inability to meet the needs of my son Adam, who needs special care.

Over the past ten months, we have been caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Our once peaceful home in Khan Yunis has been reduced to rubble, and now we find ourselves displaced in Deir al-Balah, living in squalid conditions in a makeshift tent on the streets. The devastation not only deprived us of our physical shelter, but also destroyed my livelihood - the once thriving business that supported our family's well-being, is now in ruins. The daily struggle for survival is exacerbated by the scarcity of basic necessities such as clean water, adequate sanitation and basic medical supplies

Our home was the place where we found hope and safety, and where we made precious memories. Losing him was like losing years of our lives.

Not only that, they destroyed my source of livelihood, burned it, and demolished it with bulldozers, and today I am without a home and without a job. I was working in a store I owned that met the needs and expenses of my family

Living in tents is miserable. There is a lack of drinking water, hot sun rays, and strange insects that have terrified my children. What hurts me most is my young son Ezz, who I see growing up in an unclean environment and with no healthy food for him. I believe he has not received his right to life.

Without thinking Too Hard, the first thing that comes to mind is when I saw satvb in Philly and Matty was getting onto the roof and my sister and I were waiting to hear what song they'd picked (our first show was Me) and I heard ONE. NOTE. and I grabbed my sister's arm and simply couldn't coherently communicate it was I Like America. Around two months prior I'd gotten some lyrics from that song tattooed (in honor? homage? as reminder?) of a fucking horrible time in my life, and it was just so special to me-- not that they did it on Purpose, obviously, I wasn't the Only Person At That Concert--but to have my first show ever have Me ("I've been thinking about killing myself") and then my second show be The Song that got me through That. Very "art should make you feel personally addressed" and all that, you know?

okay so, everyone is always telling buck that eddie has a resting bitch face, right? and buck is so so so adamant that he doesn’t and he fights everyone on it. he really can’t understand what people mean. he’s baffled when chimney makes jokes about eddie scaring patients with his stony expression. he is so confused when maddie tells him she was a bit intimated by eddie before they ever talked. buck just can’t believe that this is something people think.

until one day hen shows buck a video of eddie just chilling at the station while reading a magazine. and he looks so serious, so frowny. a little bitchy if buck is being totally honest. and then, in the video, buck walks up the stairs and as soon as eddie sees him he lights up. suddenly he’s all sunshine and rainbows. he’s all smiley and he just looks so soft.

and that’s how buck finds out that eddie does have a resting bitch face but buck never sees it because eddie always looks ecstatic when buck is near.
