Do you have any voice headcannons for your shade of scales characters?
this is an amazing question. sos takes place in Naarm / Melbourne Australia, so a lot of characters have Australian accents which isn't overly common for a lot of voice head canon videos/etc (there are lots of characters from different backgrounds as well, and most have semi-Australian accent mixed with where they are from, but some do not - it is hard to find good voices as most are American and it is very much NOT an american story - something that I'm very into making sure that my characters and story isn't American and isn't adjusted to be easier for US default ism). so im just going to go over some common voice actors / descriptions and say "they're kinda like this" and give some mannerisms I use in the text! Emily: soft, very shy voice but has some confidence. so thinking characters like Glimmer from Shera or Horse from Centaurworld. Generally speaks with full words and doesn't like to shorten words. Katrina: Talks very fast, in short spurts and rambles easily. Vi from Arcane could work but not quite? She's really hard. I was inspired a lot by Peril from WOF when writing her so probably similar to Peril HCs. Jasper: Soft, kind male protagonist archetype with his voice. Thinking of how people might hc Clay from WOF or Alderheart from Warrior Cats. Hayden: Hayden's very much a typical "angsty" male protag type. So any characters that are similar to that kind of voice (think Zuko, Flame & Winter from WOF, and characters like that). Talks very fast. Hyeon: Hyeon's the character I very explicitly describe their voice multiple times. Its very raspy and almost dragon like as they can't shift between forms properly, so their voice is kind of "stuck". They don't speak much and when they do it sounds more formal than you'd expect. Other side characters that I have some info on:
Roxanne: Any character that's associated with Queen Scarlet from wof is kind of almost there? Also Marina (the music artist) as a lot of her songs are Roxanne's theme songs and I made her while listening to a lot of that kind of music. Very sly, very controlled voice. She doesn't lose her composure often so Sen: I havent' posted much stuff on her here yet but she defs has a very typical soft motherly voice, an actual nice mother who cares deeply for others.she would have a fairly heavy South Indian accent as she grew up there then moved to Australia.
also as a side note, the characters in SOS would probably have heavier australian accents than modern australian accents due to that the timeline of sos diverts in 2000, so less american tv and culture could influence accents.

💌 thanks for sharing the love! #GothamKnights 🦇💋
SLAYYYYY i love quesitons about htingsss this is how i look rn answeirng these btw 👇🏽
Tumblr media
in addition to harvey/two face (because he really was showstopper sawwy to the knights), but i reallyyyyy adore duela. not only was she hilarious, her character arc/development throughout the show was great. always enjoyed whenever she was on screen i was like omfgggg my bestie !!
where do i even begin......the one that sticks out in my little brain of mine is when harvey overdoses on his anxiety meds and meets face to face with harv/fugue!harvey. that was absolutely incredible and i replay that scene in my head like a rotisserie chicken bc those writers put their whole pussy into it
at first i was going to say duela and carrie because their dynamic was soooo much fun but after 1x13, harvey and duela pulled my heartstrings like damnnnnnn i did ackshully tear up at that monologue naurrr don't let my mutuals know that. honorable mention are the row siblings because WAHHHHHHH 🥺😭 they mean so much to me
i mentioned duela's development in my first answer and i am not very eloquent with words if we're being honest but the way that she gained a sense of purpose and wanting to actually help gotham through all the trials and tribulations that were thrown at her...really wish we got to see more of that
it's a toss up between "big dent energy" and "guess who rode of the bat wang" .....honestly anything that comes out of duela's mouth is funny as hell who let her be that way
hmmmmmmmmmmm my fave was def harvey being duela's dad. did i call it from a mile away? yes, but it was absolutely satisfying to be right. i actually cheered out loud and punched the air MWAHHH
gosh, when we finally got to see his whole entire face, that shit was absolutely terrifying in a good way. interesting way of how rebecca was the one to toss that acid on his face. sadly, as much as it was all scrumdillyumptious, two face had like a total of three minutes of screentime and we will more than likely never see him again....does anyone have james gunn's number i need to ask him for a favor,
im not following any of the cast and crew of gk pero i have seen some of their tweets and the level of dedication these people put into the show....anyways, everything was so well thought out,,,i nominate the bat cave that shit was really cool. loved the water concept since it wasn't done before in the dc universe
LOL ermmmm, *scratches neck* is this thing on.....NOT to be mean or anything but i wish there was more action. as much as i luv the pauses for breath, i also luvvv ffight sequences. also a part of me thinks the show dragged a little. i know it was only 13 episodes but 18 would've been better. and though i loved the funny bits, sometimes i wish the show took itself seriously. they tried to target to gen z but mannn, at times i had to kinda duck my head bc it was embarrassing and i'm not even gen z. idkk i cant be too harsh on the show bc they did what they could and i enjoyed it overall!!
where is the s2 blueprint ik they're sitting somewhere in the producers' houses....but yeah, i actually liked how gotham knights ended! it works well ffor a mini series. the ambiguity of it all is ripe with possibilities for the fans to gnaw on. turner being trained to become the next batman, the gotham knights putting their boots back on to save the city thinking turner is gone for good, harvey allowing harv to take over with the potential of becoming a major problem....tag me in any stories you write, you guys 👍🏽❤

So many options! And I am no good with decisions! But They must be made. May I ask for “Sea Three Descendants” and “Prayer for the Stupid and Already Dead”?? 👀
I know, I gave too many options 😭 but yes you may!! Once again putting beneath a read more!
"Sea Three Descendants"
So, this was basically meant to be a rewrite of the Descendants movies where Uma, Harry, and Gil are the three who originally get chosen to be brought over to Auradon. I know a lot of people have done this idea already, hence why I haven't really gotten around to continuing it, so it's probably an abandoned fic just because the plan for it was... long. But at the same time, I really like what I've written so far for the start so I might get back around to it! I would just need to get a better idea of where I want to go with it after the three of them are brought to Auradon. (Little side note, I was also incorporating a lot of Scots into it for Harry, CJ, and Harriet, which has been really fun!)
Sneaky peak snippet:
"Who are their parents?" his mother asks quickly before his father can speak again.
Ben nods back, silently thankful. Understanding flickers across her face. He has to force the next words out of his mouth.
"Captain Hook..." he starts, and watches his mom's hand slowly join the other one, visibly having to inhale as she and his dad stare at him, "...Ursula... and Gaston."
There's a shocked gasp from behind him and a thud as the tailor drops something.
"Gaston?" his dad thunders, all pretence of keeping his cool dissolving. "You want to bring over the son of a man who tried to kill me? Who tried to force your mother to marry him and threatened to lock your grandfather away?"
His mom's eyes move away, looking down at the floor as Ben's eyes flick over to her, his heart racing. He knew that the last one wouldn't be received well. It's why he decided it was the best decision. He can't tell what his mom's thinking, but there's a familiar sadness to her features.
"You did the exact same thing," Ben counters without thinking. "Besides, his son had nothing to do with that! Why should his child be punished when I'm about to be made king?"
"Prayer for the Stupid and Already Dead"
I've technically already posted the first chapter of this one because I hadn't thought at the time that I could continue it, but after rewatching some of season 6 of the Vampire Diaries, I realized that I could have even more angst!
Damon and Luke have been not-really-friends with benefits, but Kai is about to merge with Jo, and Luke still tries to go after him to do the merge himself. However, throw in some feelings on Damon's part and we know that he can't allow that! So, he tries to finds a way around it, knowing that the best descision will absolutely make everyone mad at him! (Hence the title, since the episode that Luke died in was "Prayer for the Dying." Damon is the "Stupid" and part of the "Already Dead.")
I spy a snippet:
A beat passes in suffocating silence, Damon refusing to say anything more, and Luke uncertain on if he should say anything at all. He makes his descision. Makes it again, Damon supposes as Luke walks away. Away towards wherever Kai is waiting for Jo, away to his own death, because Damon just has this feeling, deep in his chest, buried beneath his ribs. There is no good outcome to what Luke is going to do.
He fishes his phone out of his pocket as he turns around, watching Luke get further and further away. Tyler picks up straight away.
"Put your girlfriend on," he tells him.
"Damon? Did you find Luke?" Tyler asks.
"Put Liv on or else the answer to that quesiton is going to be a very firm yes, but neither of us are going to like in what state."
Tyler presumably passes the phone to Liv, or she takes it off of him before he can protest.
"I have a plan, and I need you to tell me if it's going to work before I do it so that I can think up a plan B real fast," Damon says.
"Tell me," she says. "But where's Luke?"
"Don't worry about him," he tells her. "I'll make sure he's okay. Now, what happens with the merge if one twin becomes a vampire?"
Liv hesitates on the other end and he can see her face in his mind, eyebrows scrunching together. Luke does the same thing. But then it turns as the wheels in her mind do as well, finding the same page as Damon.
"It... it wouldn't work," she confirms for him. "There would be no merge, it--it would be impossible."
"Great," Damon says, and starts walking in the same direction as Luke now that he's just a distant figure. "Now, the finer details, and the more crucial questions, just three of them which, I'm guessing you've probably already figured out what they are. Number one: Are you willing to offer yourself up as the vampire volunteer?"
"I'd rather not."
"Understandable. Don't blame you. What I expected you to say. Second question: Would Kai be any more or less dangerous as a vampire?"
"Definitely more," Liv quickly says, alarm in her voice even at the thought. "He would still have the ability to siphon, he'd become a heretic. A rare vampire, witch hybrid, more dangerous than Kai is right now."
Damon grits his teeth. "Fantastic. That's annoying and inconvenient for us, but I can still work with it. It's fine. Okay, number three: How high are the chances of Luke never forgiving me if I were to turn him into a vampire against his will?"
"Pretty damn high, and I will kill you myself if you even think about hurting him."
Closing his eyes for a moment, Damon nods and gives a grim smile. "Also what I figured. All right. Don't worry about it."
"Wait, no. No, no, Damon! What are you going to do? Where's--"
Damon hangs up without answering. He doesn't have the time to try and explain. As he watches Luke, following behind him without him knowing, he prepares himself for what he's going to have to do. Just when he thought he got to stop being the bad guy. Someone has to do the job, he supposes. Better it's him, it keeps the universe balanced that way, even if it leaves him with the nauseating, sinking dread and guilt.

hello minnie <3 for the writing questions i'm really curious about 3, 4, 7, 10, 18 and 20!!!
HILO NINI 💖💖💖💖💖 TY FOR SENDINGGG QUESITONS
3. LITERALLY ALL THE PORN?? LITERALLY ALL THE PORN. i think of a hot position and i'm like "oh that'd be great" and i get ready to write a one-shot and then MY BRAIN IS LIKE "oh, wait, this position would work well in gaba/btf" and then i just. stop. and save it for that. but i really need to just start writing them anyway like who is going to complain about getting two cakes? no one.
also there's a lot of fake dating ideas i have but DAMN do i not want to write that set up LMFAO
4. ohh this one from patch up that i just reread today ohhhh idk why i love it idk...why it's just questions LMFAOO
Red’s expression tells him that’s enough. Why do they need to continue? Why did they start in the first place? What is this doing? What are you doing, Green? This isn’t what tonight was supposed to be about.
i think it's just green reading red's face and spelling out what red's thinking for the readers. and idk every time i read it i'm like "damn i love that line" so
7. I think the characteristics of my writing style areeee vivid imagery when it comes to settings. descriptions that don't overstay their welcome and funny dialogue. and when i'm really focusing on writing to the best of a character's pov (btf) then humor. like i think my writing style is "okayish words for the bulk of the fic, but when you get to the porn/angst/comfort/climax of the fluff, i fucking go ham"
and ya, i think others would agree
10. uhm. i get an idea, then i think about it for a while and plan it out, if it's really long i make an outline. if it has a lot of little details i make a "notes" doc for it. then i don't work on it and think about it some more and i decide if i wanna dedicate energy to write it right now or later. and THEN if i do i forget about it, scream, cry, write two paragraphs and scream, give up for three days, come back to it, try again, get in the swing of it, write 1-2k words, forget about it for three days, and the process repeats LMAO
18. No 😔i don't tend to do this and another reason why is bc i tend do write really long fic? so i can't be thinking of au's and stuff bc i'm already, most likely, working on ten things and they're taking so long bc the idea is so long. so my head literally has no room for au's of au's and the like
20. i thought about this for a long time but gaba is FULL of little details and clues. every paragraph literally has a clue to an event that already happened or is going to happen. that's what i love about planning fics. that moment of being like "oh shit!! this was mentioned way back in chapter 4" it's fucking great. and gaba is so full of those bc i planned everything already
btf is the same but to a lesser extent. i'm making up a lot of shit as i go, but i've managed to sneak some stuff in there. i can talk about that a little. when red and green go to the animal auction, and red's already found the sheep and how he already knows so much about sheep?? that's important. how red is so knowledgeable about all this stuff and we just assume it's be of his previous job experience?? that's important. and it's all backstory but it'll be like OHH when it's revealed it's cool.
also the reason why i always compare red to like ice...bc he's so associated with mt. silver. but when GREEN thinks of red, i flip flop between ice and fire. and then i do the same with green it's like this:
green: wind/fire
red: ice/fire
and idk why i do that i think it's my kingdom hearts writing leaking through but what can ya do.
i also always ALWAYS have red be a lover of nature and the outdoors no matter the au. and i always always have green pursuing some form of academia no matter the au.
i cannot think of anything else... BUT THANK YOU FOR THE ASKS NINI THIS WAS SO FUN 😭😭😭💕💕💕💕💕💕💕☺💕💖🥺💕

Rihanna Slays Social Media Marketing for her Fenty Beauty Line
Fenty Beauty is a make up line founded by the gorgeous, talented Robyn Rihanna Fenty. She was born in Barbados and is now a well known artist and overall amazing human being. She created this brand with the purpose of making sure “Women everywhere would be included”. Her slogan is “Fenty Beauty. The New Generation of Beauty” Often it can be hard for dark skinned women and other women of color to find a foundation and make up products that match their skin tone, thus Rihanna worked hard to find formulas that would work with a lot of hard to match skin tones. Rihanna’s product launch was successful and she is now coming out with new products for the summer. The brand has garnered a lot of followers since its inception. Most people, including myself, loved this line because it included a wide definition of beauty. Fenty Beuaty’s first video on Youtube and ad (see video below), features models with a variety of skin tones and looking at her social media we see a wide variety of people using her products. It is also 100% cruelty free.

FENTY BEAUTY’S SOCIAL MEDIA SITES
The main social media which are linked to the Fenty Beauty website are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Music.ly, and Google Plus.
Instagram
https://www.instagram.com/fentybeauty/?hl=en
Instagram is by far their most popular social media site, which makes sense as they are a beauty brand and most beauty bloggers and companies do well on Instagram because it is a photo based site. Rihanna leveraged her own popularity to launch the instagram social media page for Fenty. After four days on Instagram, the Fenty Beauty official account had amassed 1.4 million followers. Although most brands boast a 1% fan engagement on average, Fenty Beauty’s Instagram account achieved a whopping 10.41% engagement rate. Plus, in September and October, the account was averaging 1.6 billion in reach. Here are some metrics of their Instagram:
3.2 million
30,000 - 100,000 likes per post
50-300 comments, sometimes 1,000-12,000 comments if popular post
#fenty and #fentybeauty search come up with 1,000,000 posts
As for the content strategy, they post lots of photos and videos of consumers and influencers who have used their products. In every photo of someone else, they @ them so they get credit, more followers, and they also let users know what products were used. They also have photos of actual product and consumers can click on the product in the photo to lead them to a web page to buy the product. Consumers can also click on someone’s lips for example, to be taken to the page for the lipstick that person used. I like that their models are diverse in size, color, and gender. They feature lots of beauty influencers on their Instagram. On their Instagram story, as well as on their page, Rihanna posts videos of new products that are coming out as well as how to use some of the products.
Tumblr media
Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/fentybeauty/
Their second most followed account is Facebook. Here are the metrics on their Facebook
378,381 likes
Posts get 15 - 40 shares, popular ones get 3000 shares
Videos get 3-10000 views
15 - 100 comments per post
2,370 reviews
Their content strategy is similar to Instagram in that they post when new products are launching. In photos that show the product, Fenty Beauty has a link to the product in their description. Facebook differs from Instagram because on Facebook they don’t highlight consumers who use their product. They mostly link to articles about Fenty Beauty, post video how tos mainly from their Youtube channel, and have photos showcasing their products.
Tumblr media
Twitter
https://twitter.com/fentybeauty?lang=en
Their twitter was created in March 2016 and is the third most followed account and here are the twitter metrics:
100-2000 likes per tweet
10-600 retweets
1-30 comments unless ask quesiton/competition may get more engagement
Makes good use of hashtags, #fentyfacefriday. #dirtythirtygiveaway
Their Twitter content, like their Facebook and Instagram, share when new products are coming out. Their Twitter is where they interact most with customers. On Twitter they retweet photos of people wearing their products. They also retweet funny, interesting stories that others tweet about Fenty. Fenty uses Twitter to respond to people who have concerns. In one tweet they said they will replace someone's Fenty product because theirs got stolen. They’ll also thank people for using their product on Twitter. On Twitter they have contests and giveaways and make good use of the hashtags. They have one called #fentyfacefriday where they repost someone who used Fenty products. They also have #dirtythirties where they give away some of their products. Twitter is the only account where they post gifs and memes as responses to some people’s tweets. They also use gifs and photos to make funny relatable jokes about how good their brand is. My favorite is this Kermit meme
Tumblr media
Youtube
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0HVR9T6oFS3veefhGCGEsw
The fourth social media they use is Youtube which the joined on Dec 1 2016
141,571 subscribers
Total Views 10,680,073 views
Views on each video range from 6,000 - 5.8 million on one video (but most videos have a couple hundred thousand views)
100-900 comments per video
Every video has more likes than dislikes
Content wise, they used Youtube to post their video ad, and they post lots of make up tutorial videos illustrating how to use their products They have helpful playlists such as tips and tricks from Rihanna and a tutorials playlist. I like that they have one called the Fenty Family where they gather videos of other Youtube bloggers showing how to use Fenty Beauty products or reviewing it. By looking at the comments we can see that people were very excited and happy by her diverse line, they got positive feedback right away.
youtube
It’s clear that their content strategy differs a little from each of their four most popular social media platforms, but the message of inclusivity and using make up for fun is still the same which I like.
There are two other social media platforms mentioned on their website, but they are nowhere near as popular as their other platforms. Here are some quick facts about  the other social media mentioned and for the website.
Music.ly
https://www.musical.ly/h5/share/usr/218606766895595520.html
12 posts that consist mostly of someone doing their make up using Fenty Beauty to music. When I first checked their following three days ago, they had only 1.9 thousand fans, then yesterday they had only 2,000 fans, today I see they have 2.4 thousand fans. It looks like their fan base is quickly growing on Music.ly which I did not expect. Music.ly is used mostly by teens so I think they may be targeted the teen demographic with this platform. (For those that don’t know what Music.ly is, it’s a place where people record themselves lip syncing or dancing - or doing anything really - to music for a few seconds)
Google Plus
https://plus.google.com/u/0/101582926428465885452
Fenty Beauty has not posted anything on their Google Plus, but they do have 198 followers. I’m not sure why they have a Google Plus linked to their website since no one seems to be using it, including the company.
Website
https://www.fentybeauty.com/start?gclid=Cj0KCQjw-uzVBRDkARIsALkZAdljZh1t_hIrW5DwCmvWAwgq6CktqM2RNEVS668mPFyUBiLKaXa5fh4aAggHEALw_wcB
I like their website because it’s set up to give off cool, sleek, and fun vibes. Their prices are not outrageous and I like that they make ti possible for people to review all their products. The website has all of its social media linked on it and they have two different sections where people can submit photos of themselves using Fenty Beauty products. The website also has a page that features all of the video how tos that they posted on their Youtube. It was smart of them to have a section where you could pick your skin tone and then it would tell you which recommended products to buy for that skin tone.
Tumblr media
HOW FENTY BEAUTY UTILIZES EVAN’S SOCIAL FEEDBACK CYCLE
Tumblr media
Social Feed Back Cycle by Evans
The first step in the social feedback cycle is Awareness. Rihanna was able to raise awareness of Fenty Beauty by building on her own social media following, she has 59.2 million followers on Instagram, 85.3 million Twitter followers, 81.2 million Facebook fans and 801,000 Youtube subscribers (and counting) (Content Writers). There were also numerous PR articles written about her products and its launch, which was strategically on September 8 2017 during New York Fashion Week.
The next steps are getting people to consider and then purchase the product. When the brand launched it was clear consumers were already considering the brand as many people on social media talked about how excited they were to buy her product. Many people loved the diversity of models she used, they loved her inclusion of darker skin types, and people’s love of Rihanna probably got them to consider buying the product. It’s clear Rihanna was successful in raising awareness and getting people to consider and then purchase her product as it earned 72 million in earned media value (NewsWeek). People believe it will outsell Kyle’s cosmetics because during its first month of operations it made five times Kylie Cosmetics' in sales (Elle).
The next steps in the process, which are user generated, are use it, form opinions, and talk about the product. A quick Youtube search of “Fenty Beauty review” brings up over 400,000 results with consumers and beauty bloggers using products and then reviewing products form Rihanna’s line. The line was so hyped that bloggers knew their reviews would get views. Posting reviews also helps Rihanna’s brand get more awareness and consideration. There are also numerous articles and blogs written by people who have purchased, used, formed opinions, and talked about the product. Others then comment on these blogs and reviews which generates discussion about the Fenty Beauty line. There are also many reviews of products on the Fenty Beauty website and Sephora.
In the Evans social feedback model, all of the opinions, reviews and talk about the product line posted online then becomes used in the consideration stage. People such as myself, who have not yet purchased Fenty Beauty but are considering it, use what people wrote online to decide whether I should buy it.
I’m excited to see how the brand will grow, their customer base base is mostly African Americans, Latinas, and Asians, with whites being the smallest portion (Elle). Other big make up brands have diverse customer bases, but Rihanna’s collection is special because it fills a market niche as it was created to make sure women of color were not forgotten in the beauty industry. Women who are so often neglected by the media now get to buy make up that fits their skin and makes them feel beautiful.
HOW FENTY BEAUTY ENGAGES ITS USERS
Tumblr media
Evan’s outlines four levels of engagement. From lowest to highest engagement the steps are Consumption, Curation, Creation, and Collaboration.
Consumption means people are downloading, reading, watching, or listening to your digital content. It’s not the best way to socially interact with consumers, but it is a necessary first stpe to get people aware and interacting with your brand. Fenty Beauty obviously has consumption down. As told by their social media metrics, they have amassed a lot of followers on several different social media sites in a short amount of time. Lots of people are viewing their content.
The next level of engagement is Curation. Curation is the act of sorting, filtering, rating, reviewing, commenting on, tagging, or describing content. It’s important for brands to encourage curation so audience members can participate and make content useful. Fenty Beauty has done an excellent job curating their content. Again, as the metrics earlier show, many people are liking their content on different platforms. It’s harder to get comments and shares on sites like Facebook and Twitter, but they still have a good amount considering the newness of their brand. On Facebook, the Sephora website, as well as their actual website a lot of people have taken the time to rate and review Fenty Beauty’s products which helps other users decide whether to buy a product or not. Many people have made review videos and blog posts of Fenty Beauty on Youtube. On twitter users tweet about their experiences with Fenty Beauty products.
Creation means community members creating content for the site or brand. Fenty Beauty has done a great job and getting people to participate in creating content. On their website they ask people to submit photos of their “#fentyface”. On Twitter they use this same hashtag to encourage people to share photos of their face using the product and then they retweet that content.
Tumblr media
On Instagram they encourage people to curate content as their description in Instagram is “Tag your shots with #FENTYBEAUTY”. Most of their Instagram content is created by other people. They have photos of a range of influencers: beauty, health, make up, and models, wearing a Fenty product. This is a good strategy because they can show a wide range of genders and ethnicities on their pages and they don’t have to pay people to make the content. In each photo they @ the person who is featured. They also show real people using their products. This is smart because they can take advantage of influencers’ audiences. Bloggers want to be featured on Fenty Beauty so they can get more followers, Fenty Beauty wants to feature influencers so they can get more followers, and audience members want to see good content from their brand or bloggers,  it’s a win win win situation.
Collaboration is the highest level of engagement and it can occur in several different ways. Collaboration could be audience members helping the brand make a new product, or it could be members of a community coming together to create something. I’m not sure if Fenty Beauty has reached this level yet. As far as I know, Fenty Beauty has not talked to its fans and included them in the design process yet. For the future I think it would be good for FentyBeauty to ask consumers to come up with a name for a lipstick, or to ask consumers what they want to see next or what trouble they have finding makeup that suits them. These acts of collaboration would build brand loyalty and by looking at social media, these fans want to interact and be a part of Rihanna’s inclusive brand. I do like that one member tweeted at Rihanna to have a “trans model” in her marketing of Fenty Beauty which would be kind of like collaboration if she had done it. But she responded with this
Tumblr media
While she didn’t do the suggestion, she gave a good reason not to and by responding to this person it’s like she was having dialogue about a possible marketing change which is kind of like collaboration (Refinery 29).
In conclusion I believe Fenty Beauty is a great example of social media marketing. Rihanna saw a problem in the beauty industry, created a product to fix that problem, created hype surrounding the product, chose the timing of the launch well, and fostered inclusivity. Rihanna created a quality product that delivered as fans rave about her product on different social media. Fenty Beauty’s marketing team uses each social media a little bit differently, but keeps their overall messages the same. I want to buy Fenty Beauty now that I have done this research project on it and learned more about the products and what people said about them. Before this project, I heard a little bit about Fenty Beauty, but didn’t think I would ever buy from them because they are worth more than drugstore make up. However, after doing research on them, I now want to purchase their products. Their engagement strategy was smart. bloggers and consumers alike can submit photos of them using Fenty Beauty and get featured on their social media. Anyone who buys Fenty also becomes part of the #fentyfamily. One of my favorite bloggers Jenn Im used a Fenty Product in her video and got posted on their Instagram. I trust Jenn Im’s opinion and now I want to use Fenty. I also love the message Fenty Beauty sends about inclusivity and about not forgetting women of color in the makeup industry. I hope in the future they grow to become more inclusive and use models with diverse body types, but I love what they’ve done so far. I have learned a lot from Fenty Beauty’s marketing and I can’t wait to see how Fenty Beauty evolves as a brand.
