💕Who’s your favourite female character?

Jill! although to be fair there's so many female characters I like in the franchise. like, i love Claire (aside from half of ID), and Sherry is one of my fave things about re6, and Hunnigan is always A+, and Sheva is the highlight of re5 lol, and I will go to my grave defending the og re4 Ashley. but yeah, I'm kinda weak for Jill so :'D

👀When did you first get into resident evil?

in 2005 when I played re4 for the first time, if we're talking about playing the games and being aware of the series and about drooling after Leon and Leon's long legs. but if we're talking about actually getting into the fandom, it was only in 2019, I was sick and bored and I stumbled into ao3 and started reading stuff and that's pretty much what sealed the deal :'D

🪄If you could change one thing in the games, what would it be?

Piers would live. (and no one is surprised! :'D)

14. How did they initially feel after being embraced? Did they like being reborn into something knew or did it take them a while to cope with their new reality?

Despite the whole rollercoaster during LaCroix's trial, she warmed up to her unlife momentarily! Being dissatisfied with how monotonous her previous life felt in the Big Apple (boring dentist job, the few friends she had drifting away in favor of starting a family,...- all a total yawn for her), this was exactly the kind of turnaround she needed, but the whole "errand girl" thing didn't sit well.

30. Do they have a clan that they do particularly like?

Honestly she's rather neutral towards the ones she encountered thus far. It's neither here nor there, even when it comes to her own clan. There isn't really one she can confidently point to and say "I'm putting you over the rest", but she's the type to judge a kindred as an individual rather than their bloodline.

34. What are their thoughts on blood dolls?

Gretchen feasts on others without consent, finding the chase more thrilling than the catch itself. To her, blood dolls are too easy and don't offer her the excitement she craves. Pouncing on unwilling prey is what fills her and the Beast with that needed kick.

38. Do they care about the taste of blood?

Not really. She's not picky. All blood is valid to her whether it's bland or potent.

48. Detail things about your OC you spent a lot of time on!

Ooooh interesting! I'd say it would be her personality. At first I thought of making her into a stuck-up academic who's stone cold, quiet and obsessed with books, but then I was like naaaah... After musing over it for a bit, she ended up being a chill, goth nerd who isn't afraid to go on a yapping marathon, even while talking to an Elder. She makes a habit of making witty/sarcastic remarks, sometimes in the most inappropriate of situations, which nearly got her in trouble many times back when she was starting out in the Sabbat.

That is a very easy question my friend. You see, I don't have beef with the 12 yo, I have beef with her crazy inovoters 🤷‍♀️. Personally I wanted a 50/50 became I don't think either a guilty (it might make her worst) or innocent (it reinforces her cult beliefs) verdict will help her in the long run. But after seeing people started name-calling and bashing everybody who DEARS have a different opinion than them and vote her guilty, saying you're a horrible person, saying you don't care about neurodivergent people and victims of abuse, wishing on people they never speak with abuse victims because they made a joke about her being guilty 💀 (this literally happened to a friend of mine WHO IS ACTUALLY A VICTIM OF DOMESTIC ABUSE HERSELF together with her mother and sister) etc. I got really pissed off. So in conclusion, I started spite voting, it's that simple 🤷‍♀️

We all know Roy isn't a "good" guy (kinda the whole point of his character) - I will argue further and say he's kind of a bigger piece of shit than fandom allows him to be (I say this with a heart so overflowing with love for him)

🍲 when did you start writing and why?

i started writing short stories when i was about seven (a story about a bunny who went on a school trip to the moon 😅), wrote my first “novel” when i was nine, and - yeah. basically for as long as i can remember i’ve always been in the process of writing something. i don’t really know why - i’ve just always felt so drawn to it, and like it’s something that helps me make sense of my experience of the world around me. i (ironically lol) can't really put it into words, but i never really feel more *me* than i do when i’m writing 💜

which of your fics was the most emotionally difficult to write?

there were a couple i wrote right at the beginning of my fic writing days about a decade ago that were really raw and personal, but other than that... i think i'd have to say four walls. it's definitely the closest thing to my heart i've written in years, the most connected i've felt to a protagonist - which is the most wonderful thing to experience when writing, but can also definitely be emotionally difficult in that it's hard to switch off from sometimes, and has also made me confront quite a few themes that have been significant in my own life. but in my experience, the most emotionally difficult fics to write are also always the most rewarding ✨ (something that is 100% true for four walls!)

have any comments, tags or reactions to one of your fics ever made you laugh or cry or both?

oh my god, SO often! i feel like this is the case for basically every fic i've ever posted and got feedback for - i'm utterly incapable of keeping a straight face whenever i'm reading comments people have left on my work. @perfectly-clear-from-here is always RIDICULOUSLY good at saying things when they're beta-ing my work that make me laugh out loud regardless of where i am (more than once i've got some strange looks on the bus 😅), but there have been also a whole bunch of comments on four walls recently with people basically just shouting at alex for being a total idiot that have made me giggle helplessly 😭

i have also been lucky enough to have some unbelievably lovely, thoughtful and personal comments on various fics over the years (several on four walls are particularly fresh in my mind rn, including of course the ones from your lovely self minnie 🥺💞) and honestly - every time someone talks about having personally connected with something i've written, i can feel my heart ache and my eyes start welling up 😭 there have been some really special comments i've received for various fics in the past that have always stuck with me too, and which totally reduced me to tears when i read them first and still pull at my heart when i think about them now. it's truly just such a profound, special thing and such a privilege when you feel like something you've written has impacted someone else 💜

For Rika she does get worried when Ichiro gets hurt because BOY that boy is clumsy sometimes😞 but she usually will look where he’s hurt and takes care him, she will bandage his scraped knee/elbow and give it a small kiss and after that she’ll make him some tea for healing! ((Thanks to Shinobu for teaching her healing remedies and how to make herbal teas)) and she will just hug him and tell him that mamas here, and that she will always take care of him🥺🩵

Now for Genya

The first time…well it didn’t go well😞

Let’s just say ichiro was running around and him being the clumsy boy he is he trips and falls hitting his head hard and making his forehead bleed…genya freaked out as he saw blood trickling down his sons forehead…his mind would quickly going to his siblings and mother☹️ trauma.

After Rika aids Ichiros wound she will be there telling genya reassuringly that their baby is ok, alive and safe and that nothing will ever happen to him as she cradles his face.😭

Genya held ichiro and his wife extra close to him that night as they slept together peacefully🥹

After all of that he makes sure to calm his nerves and just gently take care of ichiro whenever he got hurt! And after taking care of him he’ll go cut up some watermelon into slices and they both sit outside together as they enjoy they’re sweet treat☺️

And when their baby is in peril…

They know…it’s a parent instinct they both share✨

They are up in an instant and quickly looking for their son…just to find him hanging on for dear life on a tree branch…don’t ask how he got up there he was just tryna to catch a butterfly-👁️👁️
