💖 Which of your fics is your pride and joy?

okay literally. I know. I know I never shut up about 'happily ever after... and after' I KNOW. but like. I LOVE the main theme of it (what happens after the triad rides into the sunset/what happens AFTER happily ever after) because it encompasses so much of my favourite triad things - genuine affection, open communication, and learning how to be in a three-person relationship. Also i did so much research for that fic, but it was so FUN.

I have other fics I highly rate (Last Requests took me four..? ish years from concept to finished fic, but I like the outcome. if only i could finish my other s4 beejhawk idea in a similarly satisfying way).

Somewhere quiet! I can write just about anywhere, doing anything (I don't know if you've read 'everything (that shouldn't be) overheard' aka my first semi-smut for beejhawk but i literally wrote it sitting on the floor of a hotel room) as long as it's QUIET. or has noise that I can tolerate (like music.)

I wish everyone a happy New Year and happy holidays!

Unfortunately, like last year, I didn't have the exact template with my drawings this year either, so I'll post through this. Unlike 2021, during 2022 I improved my drawing methods a bit, and also opened a new blog where I mostly post my drawings and you can see them here: https://www.tumblr.com/ducktoonsfanart

Yes, I mostly drew related to Donald Duck and the Duckverse, but especially in November I also drew other franchises, mostly from Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons. Yes, this year I managed in all 12 months to draw at least one drawing in one month. Yes, there were ups and downs for me, but overall, the results were solid. Yes, although I mostly draw Quack Pack, I've certainly drawn related to Donald Duck comics, Darkwing Duck and the Three Caballeros. I hope to focus more on not only the Donald Duck franchise this year, but the others as well. I'm hoping to get over 100 followers on my side blog and hit 500 followers on this one. You give ⋆｡ﾟ☁️｡⋆｡𓍢 🎐˳⬦ ᝯׁꪱׁׅꪀׁׅꪀׁׅɑׁׅ֮ꩇׁׅ݊ᨵׁׅꭈׁׅᨵׁׅᥣׁׅ֪ᥣׁׅ֪ vibes!

ᝯׁꪱׁׅꪀׁׅꪀׁׅɑׁׅ֮ꩇׁׅ݊ᨵׁׅꭈׁׅᨵׁׅᥣׁׅ֪ᥣׁׅ֪ is a little chubby, shy male dog with incredibly soft white fur, blue eyes, pink cheeks, a plump and curly tail that resembles a cinnamon roll (hence the name), and long ears that enable him to fly once he starts to flap them! A puppy...who can fly? A DOG who can fly? That's so awesome and cool oh mY.

We don't know where is the place of his birth, nor where he originally comes from: all we know is that he comes from an unknown place far away up in the high sky, among many clouds. One day, Cinnamo just came floating down from the sky just like a fluffy cloud.

Curiosity! It is believed that he immediately liked the smell of the cinnamon rolls, hence his name.

Cinnamoroll is shy, very sweet, reliable and so peaceful and he always wants to help out his friends when they need it. He loves to take naps and to do acrobatics when he flies, and he immediately starts to happily wiggle his tail whenever he is with his friends or whenever he eats his favourite foods, which include: cinnamon rolls (as if you couldn't tell), milk coffee and cocoa.

His biggest dream is to open a restaurant all of his own! Indeed, in the early 2000's cartoon, he owns and runs a tavern, where he is always the one who cooks all kinds of delicious meals and sweets for all his friends! He's a pluri awarded chef, as we all can see. Find a dog who is both so cute, who flies and who can even cooks amazingly.

Cinnamoroll definitely is one of the cutest and most adorable Sanrio characters ever, and we can say that he contributes a lot to the soft Sanrio aesthetic thanks to his delicate, pale and pastel colours he's made of! Indeed, most of the Cinnamoroll related gadgets are peluches of all kinds pillows and blankets!

pope is definitely also a history buff just like you, so that's something you two have in common! i can see you guys citing little history tidbits to each other that you think the other will find interesting, whether it's through a random text at 2am or just something in passing while the two of you are spending time together.

since pope probably likes quiet activities when he's not with his lovably rowdy pogues, i can totally see you two also spending calmer times together—maybe you're sewing something at your little work station if you have one and he's reading a book somewhere close by. he'll check in on you every so often to make sure you're taking breaks, moving in to give you a kiss on the cheek or get you some water if you're super focused on your sewing. you're spending quality time together while also doing your own thing, which i can see pope really enjoying!

since jd is like six foot something in height from what i remember, pope is tall too. your height difference might be something that the pogues tease you about from time to time, but pope loves it. he likes how he can hold things out of your reach and say stuff like "i'll give it to you if you gimme a kiss 😁", which is something he'll only do if you're okay with.

he also likes how you slot into his hug right under his chin, so he might be more into some slight pda. not too much because he's doesn't prefer to draw too much attention to himself (his friends *cough cough* jj do that plenty enough).

You squeezed Damiano’s warm hand harder for solace as you felt the sting from the needle touching your wrist, injecting ink where you’d decided the tattoo would be. Your boyfriend, whose tattoo was already done, was sitting on your left, his right hand in yours and a reassuring smile on his handsome face.

“It’s okay, amore mio, they’re almost done.”

Screwing your eyes shut, you nodded curtly, your nails slightly digging into Damiano’s palm as you clutched his hand harder. Sensing your uneasiness, he brought his other hand to put on your thigh, his fingers barely grazing your bare skin. His touch that usually would have caused you immense rapture, was now merely enough to cover half of the pain you were feeling.

You bit your lip in an attempt to ease the agony, yet it didn’t help at all, so instead, you focused on Damiano’s fingertips, which were scarcely caressing your skin, rubbing delicate circles on it. It might’ve not stopped the ache in your hand, but it did cheer you up and when you turned to look him in the eyes, you couldn’t stop a smile from creeping onto your face.

“Thank you for being here,” You whispered in his direction, watching as the corners of his mouth tilted upwards. “It means a lot.”

“No, thank you,” He murmured, his voice hoarse and merely above a whisper, and pressed his lips lightly against your hand, causing a small shiver to go down your spine. “Per essere l'amore della mia vita¹”

Butterflies swarmed in your stomach, and before you could even reply, the tattoo artist announced that he’d finished. Surprised, you turned to look at your wrist, your grin only widening as you saw a dazzling design that matched the one on Damiano’s hand. The artist excused himself, scurrying out of the room and you sighed in awe, eyes still glued on your new tattoo.

“It’s beautiful.”

After a second or two, you felt strong arms wrap around your middle from behind, hot breath hitting your neck as Damiano murmured in your ear: “Almost as beautiful as you.”

You chuckled quietly, your eyes fluttering close as your boyfriend’s lips came in contact with the skin on your neck. He kissed it slowly, yet passionately, biting down on a spot or two. You moaned softly, thinking that you couldn’t have gotten luckier. As his hands moved to your thighs, you turned around to face him, your eyes flicking between his brown orbs and his lips that he was licking.

God, he looked so handsome in the small lighting of the studio. It was ever so slightly illuminating his sharp features, creating small shadows around his face. It was true beauty, that you felt scared to destroy as you stepped forward, caressing his face in your hands. He looked at you and you looked at him, and at that moment you knew.

“You’re the love of my life, too.”

The moment the words left your mouth you knew they were real, and, as if to emphasize your statement, you leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. His mouth connected with yours in an embrace that you wished would last forever. Never had you ever felt the same amount of infatuation as you did now. It was absolutely blissful.

As you both pulled away breathlessly, smiles plastered to your faces, you took his hand in yours, pressing your tattooed wrists together. You didn’t regret that tattoo at all; no matter how much it hurt physically, it couldn’t scare away the mental awareness that it was a symbol of Damiano’s love for you, and yours for him.

“Now we’re connected for eternity.” You said, veracity inscripted in every single one of the words.

“I like the sound of that.”

okay, so i just now discovered your kotlc song analyses, and hear me out: persephone by daisy the great as either a della or biana song? it gives me major Vibes for both of them and i’m curious about your thoughts on it

Oh I am definitely hearing you out on this one. It's such an interesting perspective on their characters and the struggles they face. It's almost like this is how they're viewed by the fandom with the prejudice that doesn't exist in the Lost Cities, if that makes sense.

One of the first lines that stood out to me was "And she always thinks that she'll keep you beside her but slowly the instinct takes root in her throat," which talks about this tendency to destroy things they hold dear. it's mentioned again in the song but I figured it'd be simpler to just focus on the one line here. Both Biana and Della are very protective of themselves and the people close to them, and I think that can lead to a sort of...self-sabotage? That's not the best word to describe it but I can't think of a better one atm. In their quest to protect what they value they can shut people out and affect those close to them. They want to be strong and open and caring as much as they can be, but it can come with a cost. Think Biana getting defensive around Sophie thinking Sophie was using her to get to Fitz, or Della's connection to Fitz and Biana weakening when she so badly wanted Alvar to be who she wanted him to.

Another line that stood out was "The music is sweeter than honey but honey oh think what a monster she is at her core," and while I don't think Biana or Della would ever be described as monsters, it does remind me of the scene where Della talks about how people see her as a fragile beauty hiding in her husbands shadow, but she's really much more powerful than people think. What people see of Biana and Della is beauty and sweetness and smiles, but they both hold this strength and awareness at their core. As gentle as their exterior may appear, it is their exterior only.

However!! The line I think I applies to them most is: "The plight of the siren is everyone's always been scared of a powerful woman." That is what the two of them face. They are women and they are powerful and intimidating. People don't know what to do with them, with their conviction or determination or drive or their refusal to submit. And it goes hand in hand with their femininity in a way unique to their characters. Their femininity is emphasized very heavily, yet both of them are fierce all the same. And not everyone knows what to do with it. Luckily for them in the elven world the people are more open to the idea, but there are still moments where we see people like Sophie observe Biana's choices and comment on how it's unique to Biana, or how she couldn't do something like that. I don't have a specific moment in mind but it's an attitude we can see again and again--and she says it with respect and appreciation, not fear, but it's still like their world doesn't know what to do with powerful women like Biana and Della.

something else of interest to me is that this song is almost like...who they could be in a different setting? because the elven world is supposedly prejudice free when it comes to gender, but outside of the context of this specific story where they've been given a better environment, they absolutely 100% would be shunned and vilified and rejected for their strength. Because the world is afraid of powerful women and without that support they find in keeper, they'd be seen as monsters and things to be feared because of the traditions they reject, you know? it still fits their characters as is, but there's also an element of what could have been
