hi! i just wanted to send a note about the recent ask about the negative posts on twitter. there are a few suspicious things about it: - the twitter post looks like it might be faked. the reply counters don't match the number of replies shown in the screenshot. the stats information in the parent post is also not present - none of the posts shown in the screenshot can be found on twitter - the person who sent the ask has only ever posted on day the ask was sent, and none of their posts have any relation to death note. it looks like they may have made the account to send this ask it might be legitimate, but it looks like it might be someone purposefully sending either complete fabrication or bait.

so basically what i’m hearing is that you’re the (three) best detective(s) in the world. i have not used twitter in sooo long so thank you for catching this and sharing! i have no clue why someone would do this and it’s fucking weird of them tbh

I want to say I love the way you draw the COTL characters. More animal-ish than like general humanoid/furry. I LOVE IT. I LOVE YOUR ART

i think a lot of my general style comes from the fact that i usually draw full-on animals, not humanoids/furries. in fact, COTL's my first taste at more anthro characters, and i'm approaching it with animal anatomy because that's what's familiar to me.

recently i've been trying to practice more human anatomy (i've joked with friends that i can't believe my pipeline to finally learning human anatomy is through furries). it's really nice to see people point out and like the animal traits though--they're pretty far removed from the original artstyle so i've always wondered whether they're a perk or a detriment.

Higugin

1. What made you ship it?

At first it was that one scene in the bathroom where Gin holds up a knife to Higuchi’s neck and the tension was so palpable I knew they were gay for each other. Then it was thinking about their individual dynamics and how they would potentially act around each other.

2. What are your favourite things about the ship?

A lot of my opinions on this ship are not fully supported in canon, but I like to think that they are each other’s safe havens within the mafia. Of course they might have small arguments like any other relationship but they will always come back to each other faster than they left.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

A lot of people see Higuchi as the talker and Gin as the listener, but I actually see it the other way around. Gin loves to talk about things she cares about and Higuchi would listen to her talk for hours if she could.

Staticmoth

1. What made you ship it?

I saw them making out in the last episode and I was mad at myself for not having even thought of it before. I’ve been around since the pilot but somehow I missed all hints of staticmoth floating around until the show aired.

2. What are your favourite things about the ship?

I think they’re both absolutely ridiculous in their own rights and it makes their dynamic so damn funny. On one hand Valentino is always going batshit insane over Angel (and his other workers I assume), and Vox is not having any of it. On the other hand, Vox is obsessed with Alastor and Valentino is just like “yeah that his thing, you got a problem with it?”

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Not an unpopular opinion but they definitely rehearsed that dip thing where Val swings Vox between his legs
