buck had been right, it was all so new and it would take some time for them to adjust. mia wasnt even sure how to be a single mother. it had been so strange coming home from her shift at the bank to a empty and quiet house. the first hour she didnt mind it but after that it had started to eat away at her and by the end of the night she was at his place. "it really would but you dont have to go out of you way to send updates. just ever so often sending me some photos or having her facetime me." she suggested. "and of course id do the same for you. here i am bitching about not seeing her the weekend and you have to go the whole week." mia shook her head. He worked on making Amelia her tea, being busy, doing something his hands, even if it was something simple helped with his nerves. The whole situation was new, and they would need to adjust, Buck would take any moment he could with Miranda. "You're not used to being away from her, trust me, I get it. If getting updates helps you with that, then I'll do that." He hoped that it could lead to him asking for a few extra updates throughout the week, maybe a phone call when his shift schedule would allow. "And thanks. For saying that. All I want is to be a good dad. She did have a blast, I was thinking we could go to the zoo next time she's here with Chris and Eddie." Buck didn't know if he was going overboard, but he wanted to make sure their daughter enjoyed her weekends with him. "Aside from the knee, it's been a great day, we played, saw Maddie and Jee, then we watched a movie, well I watched it, she fell asleep in the first half hour." There was a smile on his face, as there usually was when he was talking about her. He passed her her tea and shrugged. "I'll do whatever I can to help make it easier for you."
