finally completed my first crochet blanket❣️❣️❣️ (minus the tedious task of weaving in the ends... forgive me)
thank you to everyone for the love along the way :') there's somewhere around 95ish hours in it so far, but i think it's turned out so nice. that's a queen size bed for ref, and the pattern can be found here if interested!!
context; everyone around me is getting into crocheting and I Want Also. i do not own a crochet hook. i do however, own knitting needles and a Very Yellow yarn to spare >>:)
tldr; made the first square, feedback team said it looked like ramen noodles, i am making a ramen noodles blankie now >:3c
this is the plan: (×more squares)
PLUS UM. i have a real cute border idea for when all the rest is ready but. i rly like it and i dont wamna say it bc bc um👉👈 if i pretend i dont care about it maybe i'll actually get to the point of making it.. 🤲 (its rly fun though trust)
and now. the journey so far
bit wobbly i'll admit BUT‼️‼️ isnt it ramen coded :^)
aaaaandd 👉👈 look at this
LOOK!!!!!! 🤲🤲 my most recent one vs. my first one
i connected two of em together to see if it'll work at all and it kinda did, here's more progress
and as of right now i have 8 squares done (WAHOO💪💪) and ive run out of the ✨️✨️yellow mystery yarn✨️ <- got it from a friend years ago, i have no info on it and i know Nothing abt yarn so. im now playing checkers in a world built for chess sigh.. 😔😔 being very brave though
here's where we're at now!!
the 8th square was still a ball of yarn then >:)
more yarn to arrive this week and then its beast mode babey!!!!!
((im thinking the blankie will need approx. 50 ish squares?? at least. if i want it to be a sensible size bUT!! maybe ill do a border reveal when im more squares in hm👁👁 who's to say))
Yesterday I got high & decided to hollow him out so he could be a hand puppet & then I refilled him with real animal bones & various plastic items & yarn to mimic an internal organ system 👍
i just love how some people out there hate it when other ppl use like big fluffy yarn for knitting and crochet. almost implying like they are cheating for using thick yarn.
um. okay.... why is it cheating? yes, crocheting an amigurumi in bigger yarn is faster than smaller yarn.... so what? are you... guys saying its morally wrong to do things faster?

Off the record: "Marry Val, fuck Hans, kill Dave."

im alive and im working on a pattern for the brown vest but i have some questions for anyone still interested in getting the knitting pattern!!
assuming the pattern is released in one size w the rough measurements and gauge swatch etc, would u still expect a guide for different sizes (XS/S, M/L)? are there other things u usually expect from a pattern or things that would make it more accessible? and price range for this kind of vest?
probably kind of a good thing that i dont have money to spare like ever bc if i did i would use it all on picking up a new hobby (in this case i really wanna try lockpicking lol) that i would eventually abandon
