Charles had spent a whole day with Mathéo and his brothers, just the boys so Ruby considered it a boys day. In response, Ruby told her maman she wanted to spend the whole day doing the things they love like getting their nails done and going to different stores. Their girls day started with Y/n making pancakes with sprinkles in them.

“Can I have more whipped cream? And a cherry!” Ruby asked, stabbing her pancake with her fork.

“Only because you said please.” Y/n kissed Ruby’s cheek and grabbed the can of whipped cream and put some on Ruby’s pancake. As she walked to the refrigerator to get the container of cherries, she heard Ruby say a ‘good morning’ to Charles and Mathéo, who had just woken up.

“Sprinkle pancakes, is it someone’s birthday?” Charles wondered since Y/n only made those kind of pancakes for the kids’ birthdays.

“I thought miss Ruby deserved some special maman pancakes to start our girls day off. She even gets some extra cherries.” Y/n walked back to the dining table with the container of cherries and placed one on to Ruby’s pancake.

“Special maman pancakes?!” Mathéo gasped.

“This is for girls only, Théo. You and papa had pizza for your boys day!” Ruby said as she continued eating her breakfast.

“There’s extra in the microwave,” Y/n whispered to Charles. “Ruby, finish up, there’s a lot we have to do today.”

After leaving the Leclerc household, Y/n and Ruby first began their girls day adventure with getting their nails done. Ruby picked a pink nail look while Y/n went with a simple red nails.

“Maman, look! It’s pink!” Ruby wiggled her fingers once the nail technician was done with the girl’s nails.

“You look so pretty, baby.” Y/n replied.

“Thank you, miss!” Ruby said to the nail tech.

“Hey, Ruby, why don’t you pick what we do next?” Y/n suggested.

“I can pick anything?” Ruby asked, clearly not believing that she had full control of their girls day.

“Anything.”

And that’s how the mother and daughter ended up in a bakery that was having classes on how to make the perfect cake for any occasion. Y/n knew this was something Ruby wanted to do since forever. Ruby always asked her parents if she could take a baking class, but the family was always busy with attending races, school or going to another country.

“Chef Ruby, are you ready?” Y/n asked the toddler. The bakery’s owner even gave everyone attending the class their own apron. Ruby’s was a bit big on her, but she didn’t mind at all.

“Ready! I want to make a cake for grand-mère because she couldn’t be here with us.” Ruby said. Pascale was in her salon so she couldn’t go with Ruby and Y/n to their girls day, but Ruby was going to make sure Pascale didn’t miss out.

“We need more sparkle . . . right over here.” Ruby pointed to the side of the cake that needed more ‘sparkle’.

As Y/n spread the frosting on the cake, Ruby made it her job to make the cake full of color. In the end, the duo loved how their cake came out.

“Do you think she’s going to like it?” Ruby asked as she walked hand in hand with her maman.

“She’s going to love it, Ruby Jules. You did a great job.”

“Maman, there’s a man pointing a camera at us.”

Y/n never thought she would ever have to deal with paparazzi when she was alone with her children. To anyone, she seemed like a any other mother having lunch with her daughter. But then again, she lived in Monaco and most tourists that came to Monaco knew of F1 and of course Charles. She was photographed many times in the paddock so obviously whoever knew Charles could recognize his wife.

“Just ignore the man, Ruby. Eat your food, baby.” Y/n changed her seat to the one across from Ruby so the paparazzi couldn’t get a view of Ruby.

“Excuse me, I’m so sorry to bother you, but could I get a picture? If not, I understand. Again, I’m sorry for interrupting.” A blonde girl and her friend came up to the table with her phone in hand.

“Hi, don’t worry. I’m just happy it��s not paparazzi coming up to the table. Of course we can take a picture.” Y/n happily agreed and waited for the girl to give her phone to her friend so they could pose for the picture.

“You look cool!” Ruby gave them a thumbs up which caused the girls to laugh.

“Thank you. I love your nails. Pink looks great on you.” The blonde girl said to Ruby.

“Thank you. My maman has red nails, but next time we are going to match.”

“I bet they’ll look really cool.”

After saying a quick goodbye to the girls, Ruby and Y/n were on their way to their next activity which was going to Ruby’s favorite garden, Roseraie Princesse Grace. It was the first garden Ruby ever visited and she loved it ever since.

“Are you tired yet?” Ruby asked her maman.

“I don’t think so, are you?” Ruby laughed and shook her head.

When Charles heard the door open, he was met with his girls laughing as Y/n put down their shopping bags.

“What did my girls do today?” Charles asked.

“Can I tell him? Pleaseeeee!” Ruby smiled at her maman.

“Go ahead.”

“We went to the garden! Wait, we did our nails and we made a cake with sparkles and I even got my own . . . what is it called? I don’t know, but I made a sparkle cake and it looks yummy but it’s not for you, papa! It’s for grand-mère! And maman took a picture with a nice girl and they looked so cool!”

I’d just like to note that the instant I sent the ask I started writing in the hopes you would say yes and I like actually squeaked I was so happy when you did and also I’ve been writing nonstop since then so bear with me:

*takes deep breath* Safety restrictions were famously lax in F1 until the 1990s. The deaths of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna within days of each other at the 1994 Imola GP sparked a huge movement for new safety systems, especially barrier changes. As Senna and Ratzenburger both died in accidents related to the fact that the safety barriers at the edges of tracks were just CEMENT WALLS, this was a huge push for many teams, drivers, and tracks. No one wanted the death of more legends on their hands. These accidents also inspired additions like headrests in 1996 and the HANS system (head and neck support), put in place in 2003. HANS can be seen when drivers get out of the car — it’s that space-age looking neck brace/strap on their shoulders and helmet.

Some safety systems that are much less talked about are things like the accelerometer, first used in 2014 and placed in the drivers ear. This measures the forces during impacts, and its location in the ear allows both for less invasive placement and accurate data on head/neck movement for drivers. This then leads to better safety systems capable of being studied, reasoned for, and implemented. The addition in 2016 of a camera that faces the driver also allows for safety teams to see exactly how the driver is affected during crashes, as well as giving fans a fun camera angle (which I can rant about as well, camera angles in F1 are a huge thing for me). 

Rapid fire safety systems (there will be a quiz):

Helmets were first introduced in 1952, but not required until 1977.

Seatbelts/racing harnesses required starting 1972.

Fireproof race suits have been required since 1975.

The safety car didn’t even exist until 1993 (trial runs in 1992, first seen in 1973 Canadian GP)

Pit lane speed limit introduced in 1994. Yes, before this they just ripped through as fast as they could; no, the pit crews didn’t stand any further away.

Wheel tethers introduced in 1999 after an unholy amount of incidents going back to pre-1950 (AKA official F1 start) where the wheels just came off and smacked drivers, marshals, and fans, usually killing them instantly.

The most notable safety system recently is the Halo and VSC (virtual safety car). The halo was put in place in 2018 and will hopefully never leave. It has been the savior of hundreds of lives throughout Formula series, but most well known in Formula 1 were Lewis Hamilton (2021 Monza GP, stopped Max Verstappen's car from becoming a permanent fixture in the side of his head) and Romain Grosjean (2020 Bahrain GP, pushed the crash fencing up away from his head as he hit the barriers), as well as possibly Zhou Guanyu (2022 British GP, flipped upside down and up over tire barriers into catch fencing) and Max Verstappen (2021 British GP, incredibly hard hit into a tire barrier — 51G impact at 160 MPH/257 KPH). 

There had been a number of close calls that brought up the possibility of halos, like Fernando Alonso almost having his head removed from this world at Spa in 2012 on lap one, and an incident between Michael Schumacher and Vitantonio Luizzi at Abu Dhabi in 2010 that left Luizzi’s Force India inches from Schumacher’s face.

Unfortunately, it took the horrific death of Jules Bianchi in 2014 at the Japanese GP and a number of junior driver fatalities for the Halo to be finally seriously considered and implimented. Bianchi’s incident also led to the Virtual Safety car, which was put in place in 2015 to keep accidents like his from happening. I can talk more about his incident as well if you’d like. It’s a masterpiece of administrative fuck ups and terrible oversights.

HOLIDAY REQUEST SEASON EEEE HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! okay so we know that julien definitely isn’t enthralled by the holidays because of the stereogum interview buuuut i cant shake the vision of julien and soft!gf facing off in a (ginger)bread (see what i did there!!!!!) house battle like idk i could just imagine soft!gf running errands at the store, coming across a gingerbread house kit and being like…..yes!

i feel like soft!gf and julien compromise a lot in their relationship, like they show up for each other in many different ways even when the other isn't super stoked

jb shows up for you EVERY. CHRISTMAS. like yeah she doesn't love christmas but she looooves you so she indulges your every whim during the holidays

if we are in the same universe (soft!gf and julien have moved to LA and the house needed renovations/the end of touring/lots of events taking place and so on, so their holiday party/housewarming is taking place around the holidays) then you are zooooming around running errands trying to prep

thankfully munagenius is helping a lot and you thank your lucky stars for bff!kelli bc boy does she come thru for you

but it's exactly like that, soft!gf sees these gingerbread kits at like world market or something and there's a sale on traditional ones but then there's a midcentury modern kit and a camper one (these are real)

so you get a couple of the traditional ones (maybe for a mungenius hangout or group date night) and then get some of the cool ones

and you come home so excited and julien is matching your excitement because she doesn't like christmas but she likes how excited you get around the holidays and the constant twinkle in your eyes

julien greets you in the driveway, one of your dogs at her calf as she waits for you to park, her tattoos out and about in her linen button down

"didja buy the whole store?" julien asks teasingly, her hand pulling you into her by your beltloops, kissing your cheek and jaw in quick succession

"we have like 25 people coming over jay," you say unamused but unable to fight the smile at her affections, starting to grab bags

but boyfriend!julien is lowkey jacked and can get 95% of the bags in her arms as she quickly waddles into the house

julien is rifling through the bags when you get inside, pulling out the gingerbread houses before you can even butter her up

"i saw them at the store and i thought it would be so fun...look," you say grabbing the midcentury modern house and showing her the box

julien sees how excited you are and loves a good craft so she acts like its such a chore but once dinner has been eaten and the dishes have been washed, julien is putting plastic down on the dining room table and organizing all the supplies as if it was her idea

and lets be real, julien gets into it, okay?

soft!gf is a little genius so there's extra icing and candy and toppings for the houses on the table

and julien is constructing a masterpiece, murmuring to herself, "need a good foundation...good bones," or something like that

"i bet i could build us a real house baby..." "im sure you could jules."

and somewhere between letting the houses set and decorating, julien gets competitive

"i thought you wanted us to decorate it like it was our real house jay?"

"i do but im just going to do it better than you :)" and she smiles so sassily you're like fine, game on

and julien is soooo messy

she has icing all over her hands and on her cheek

and she's popping candies into her mouth left and right

and there's Christmas music playing softly in the background, the dogs are sleeping underneath the table at y'alls feet and as it gets dark the Christmas lights husband!julien so diligently crafted around the house on a timer go off

and for the first time in a long time julien looks around and is so genuinely happy with the christmas-ness of her environment

and its silly like her and soft!gf are literally making replicas of their house out of inedible gingerbread and its so christmassy it should make her sick but she sees the streaks of icing on your cheekbone and how you've placed little m&ms in a repetitive pattern on the roof of your gingerbread house and she decides that the focused look on your face with your tongue peeking out, an almost ethereal glow behind your head from the Christmas lights is worth dealing with some of the lingering anger and resentment she has during the holidays if it means she can create new traditions with you and learn to love Christmas

Your three roomates dragged you to some rich fancy party. Most people who were there are police, firefighters, veterans and current soldiers. You didn't know how you were dragged in like you were a broke college that majoring film with lots of your friends.

At first you didn't wanna go because like I said you were broke barely surviving university financially. A lot of times you and your roommates combine money just to go to places and eat. And goes to parties stuffing whatever into your shirts and bags like drinks and sometimes food in containers.

So when your friend invited here you said a blunt no. "It's not because I don't want to...It's because there are a lot of fancy people there with their dresses and suits. I don't wanna go there and be the odd one out." You say to your friend Jules. She smiled at your answer and went to her closest opening and pulled out a fancy suit.

"I knew you were gonna say that so I asked a certain someone to buy me this." She laughs and sits on the bed next to you placing the newly bought suit in your lap. You glance at the price tag and let out a gasp "350!? Jules what the hell who do you know!?!" Jules smirks at you and stands up giving her hand to you waiting for you to take it. "Baby, come with me then i'll show you the guy who bought me this. And if we get lucky you'll find your own guy like mine." She looks at you with pleading eyes and you sigh taking the hand and her squealing pulling you off the couch rushing into the bathroom with you.

Once yall get dressed together in the bathroom and check yall selves out you both step out showing off yall looks to the other roommates who just joined. All of you are dressed and ready to go all of you hyping each other up before walking out the door yall join hands walking outside. "Is that a fucking limo!" You shout looking at Jules who's giggling pulling the group inside of the car. Once all of you are set you begin to drive to the life changing party. Jules words. One of the roommates John takes your guys pictures and posts them online just having a great time.

Yall arrived and walked up the steps staring at awe at the large house. Jules looks at all of you telling each one of you to take a deep breath and all of you do what she says and give each other one last big squeeze with your hands before walking in the party.

The party is busy and some parts of the part segregated from different jobs like firefighters with their own people and soldiers with each other. You begin to feel nervous like you and your roommates are the only people who are young really and don't have a single lived saved badge. Since the whole party probably saved a life before it begins to make you feel like you don't belong. You glance at your third roommate Quin and take her hand as support. Quin was always your emotional support buddy ( Fun fact she makes lots of short films about the group and their problems.) Quin quickly interlocks her hand with yours leading through the party looking for a decent spot to drink at. You two find a quiet bar and sit at ordering drinks and having a calm conversation. You and Quin stay there for a good nineteen minutes before getting found by Jules and her kidnapping dragging you two away from there and into a private booth.

Jules quickly sits yall down and you turn to see John sipping on his drink looking at the two of you smiling. All four of y'all sit together chatting up a storm with loud laughs and screams. You all crack jokes and tease each other until some women and men come into the booth looking very serious. "So juley these are the people you always talk about?" One of the men asks staring at you,Quin and john all three of you side eyeing each other trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

"Yes! Wasn't I right they're the cutest!" Jules squeals out walking towards the man who's talking and sitting on his lap. "Especially Y/n! Hes the cutest out of all of us!" Jules says smiling at her friend who has not a clue of what's going on in his face. All of the women and men turn their gaze to Y/n. Y/n leans back into the seat leaning on Quin a little who is smirking at him.

All of the women and men seem to study Y/n once they're all done they all look and nod at each other approving. Jules giggles and gets off the man's lap and skips towards her friends sitting back down with them. Jules introduces everyone to each other. You didn't bother at trying to remember all of their names but one had stuck out to you. "Here is Agent Hotchner..." You didn't listen to the rest of your mind only focusing on the man. You stare at him in awe you never had seen someone so handsome like him before. Your heart begins to pound and your chest flutters and your body begins to feel hot staring at him. You feel like a teenager again palms sweating and mind rushing. You never believed in love in first sight but this time you wonder if it is true.

Then suddenly his sharp and dominant eyes shoot back at you making heavy eye contact. You flinch back and stand up rather quickly excusing yourself and rush out the booth. Leaving your three roommates confused until John lets a "Ohhh..." When John says oh the other two light bulbs switch on and they all giggle about Y/n and tease him about his childish acts. "Is he okay?" One of the women says being confused at the trio seems calm after their fourth member rushing out of the booth. "It's a normal thing for him. Him crushing on someone until they make eye contact and running like hes a deer when spooked." John answers with a laugh teasing the deer like man.

Hotch excuses himself out of the booth and walks around looking for Y/n. He sees the h/c enter a bathroom. Hotch quickly follows inside and locks the door behind him. "Someones in here!- oh its you..." Y/n says shyly. He was just washing his face trying to calm down but efforts were wasted when hes alone with the man again feeling all hot and shy again. "Do you want me to go?" Hotch offers but quickly gets told no.

The pair get into a silence with lots of romantic and sexual tension in the room. "So why is a uni film maker doing in a party like this?" Hotch asks getting closer to Y/n and leaning on the wall. Y/n swallows deeply and shyly tilts his head away from Hotch. "Well Jules dragged me here. One for free food and drinks. Second she wanted me and my other roommates to meet someone special to her and if we were lucky i'll find my own that what she said at least in her words." Hotch hums and thinks for a second before taking his large hand cupping your jaw and forcing you softly to look at him. You slowly look up into his eyes in awe staring at his features up close.

"I guess you were lucky today. How about we make a deal? You be my companion like my boyfriend. Your job is simple take care of my needs and sometimes treat each other like we are a couple. In return you can get a five-hundred pay each week and everything you want in your dreams okay?" Y.n thinks about it and says "I aspect the deal. Like your my sugar daddy." You giggle and kiss the tip of his nose. Aaron kisses the top of your head and wraps his arms around you cradling you.

HEADCANONS NOW!!

You sitting on Hotch lap every time you have to take a seat. And always choosing Hotch straddling his leg or sitting on his lap fully. He always pull you to his lap even though it can be like seven open seats.

Him and you taking faceless pictures all of the time. Hotch feels kinda insecure of his face always getting told he looked scary or mean. So you thought of a way so it doesn't make him uncomfortable when you take pictures of him. And plus you both look hot together in the pictures like you sitting in his lap while his veiny hand on your thigh. Makes the two of you look hot when you post it and everything.

He buys you clothes that go with your style or aesthetic. Like if you wear street wear or something like in the 90s or 80s he'll buy it out of kindness.

Trying to keep your relationship hidden from the team. You both don't mind showing pda at all and actually you both are quite seen as a handsy couple. But he just doesn't want his nosy co-workers to be in his business all of the time.

Him teaching you how to defend yourself and his worst fear is seeing you in a case as an unsub or a victim. It's one of the other few things that keeps him awake at night so that's one of the main reasons why he tries to keep you away from his work.

You babysit jack when hes away at work so it kinda pushes the boundary of just Sugar daddy and sugar baby. To which that you both don't mind pushing the boundary it makes the both of you feel closer together and let other hidden feelings out.

He sends you food and clothes and other things you enjoy when hes gone for a while.

You and him go to fancy dates and places as dates but when you both feel lazy yall have a picnic or an in-home date. And sometimes go out for lunch between work or going to the movies.

He probably likes taking those aesthetic couple pictures like the ones you see on tiktok a lot. It makes him feel that he caught up to the trends with you. It makes you happy so hes happy.

OKAY BACK TO THE ONE-SHOT

Y/n and Hotch have been doing the deal for a couple months now everything is running smoothly with no arguments or anything toxic. Hotch had to leave work with an excuse that "Jack needs me" Which wasn't a total lie. The messy duo Derek and Penelope felt like something fishy was going on and left in secret to follow their boss. Once Aaron arrived at a McDonald's he walked inside fast. Derek and Penelope give each other a look before putting on a childish disguise before heading in. They walked in just in time to see Aaron wrap his arms around a smaller man kissing him deeply. And pull away once they hear Jack shout "Ewww! dad and papa!" Penelope mouth drops the floor and takes pictures of the unknown man and Derek pulls his shades down a little making sure hes seeing what Penelope is seeing.

They spend thirty minutes there until the family gets up leaving the fast food place. Derek and Penelope hurries off to the window spying on them. Hotch bends down and gives Jack a big huge kissing his head before standing up taking the unknown man's waist before pulling him into a makeout. The couple pulls away when they hear Jack whining about going home. The couple pulled away getting into a quick hug before going into their separate ways. Penelope and Derek bolt out of the place and get into the car driving to work passing the speed limit. The duo makes it there before Hotch and they go to Penelope bat cave. Penelope loads up pictures of Y/n and does research on him

"His name is Y/n m/n L/n hes a junior in U/n and majoring in Film. Hes been arrested once for fighting and jumping the people he jumped with are John lakey, Quin beck and Jules McLean and them three are his current roommates." Penelope proceeds to dig deeper on him going into his social media stalking him and gasping a little when she sees the huge amount of followers. "These pictures are...erotic.

Always faceless with a lewd or romantic poses." Penelope says pointing at the veins. "Thats boss man's hands." Derek says leaning in closer to the screen."Never knew he was into those types of young men." Penelope checks Y/n following and hes only following one person. She clicks on it and the user name is called "The only4" It has even a bigger amount of following. The pictures and videos are just Y/n and his roommates. "They seem to be close." Derek says point at a video where Jules and Y/n are making out. "Do you think they're a y'know?" Penelope says scrolling down on their pictures and videos and stops at one letting out an exaggerated gasp. The picture is the four of them sitting on a people who looks rich and tough but faces are blurred out leaving only the roommates faces are seen. Penelope zooms in on Y/n and shows Derek Hotch watch hes wearing. Derek hears footsteps and quickly shuts off everything. "Hotch has a sugar baby! WHAT THE FUCK!" Penelope whisper shouts at Derek. "Holy hell, the big man got some game." Derek whispers back looking at Penelope back. The door opens by Spencer saying that we got a case.

At the round table Penelope has to show some information to the team with her laptop. No problem for her only that she forgot to close out of Y/n Instagram. She connects the laptop to the TV to present and she opens her laptop. And the whole team gasped. The TV screen is showing Y/n shirtless wear saggy pants and a cowboy hat while Jules is kissing his neck. The team room gets quiet when Hotch opens the door staring at the screen confused and puzzled. He looks at the team then looks at Penelope and Derek looking guilty together.

"Garcia and Morgan my office now!"

carlos -> hufflepuff: when he said 'i was very good i was very fast today' with barely suppressed tears.... when he said his penalty was 'not deserved it is TOO SEVERE i said please please please please to wait to wait until the race is finished and speak to me'........ that was a man trembling w rage bc he was treated unfairly and his hard work was not valued

lewis -> ravenclaw: he's obviously either ravenclaw or slytherin and i think the fact that he likes to distance himself from his peers a lil bit to focus on racing puts him in the former. also whenever he's asked about things happening on the grid (daniel losing his seat, seb's retirement...) i get a feeling that he's very cordial yet doesn't get involved all that much.

george -> slytherin: you would think he has a similar family background to lando's bc of the extra posh accent he maintains and the way he dresses so well... wrong. you're actually looking at a man who values heritage more than you might think. he's ambitious and prepared and driven yet subtle about it (suffered all those years in williams for the merc oppurtinity). he's also a very prideful person imo (see: flipping vb the bird immediately after portugal 21 crash). slytherin thru and thru

lance -> ravenclaw: i can see the slytherin argument bc he comes from money but i feel like he values truths and facts more than he is prideful or unrelenting. see: fact checking max over 180 cm height (where the iconic 'he claims that?' came from). see also: 'ask george about my vegas tag junior win in 2012.. ask him about it.. yeah hahaha ask him about it...' also he has a certain calmness and resignation that comes from valuing facts and observations above else. see:

yuki -> gryffindor: he's obviously passion driven, hence temper <3. also i think the fact that he and pierre became such good friends despite being teammates and having incidents on track rlly speaks for how much they trust and are loyal to each other

alex -> hufflepuff: idk alex that well but the whole concept of drs train conductor is so very hufflepuff coded. i worked hard i was patient i dragged my tractor in front of yours so you're not overtaking me. it's all fair game.

14. How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?

Honestly some of the vibes Adam gives off LOL. She notices how proud Rebecca is of Adam as the commanding agent and is very much envious/in awe of that (hates that she so badly seeks her mother’s approval though, yes I’ll go crazy with fucked mother/daughter relationships in everything don’t @ me) and the control he has over his emotions. There’s a part in book two down in the sewers with Mason, where depending on your dialogue choice he’ll remark that the detective sounds just like Adam in that moment, and I can just imagine Deva getting hyped in a twisted way like omg yes perceive me as such. girl you need to chill. if you mixed A & M together that would be her ideal :

25. What’s your favourite thing about your OC?

That she’s still a bit of a wildcard in my brain. This probably says a lot about the way I write lol but i was so uninspired and in a rut with my creativity at the time and I get very anal about characters sticking to an end trajectory that u can somewhat see coming in their behaviours and past choices, which limits them and myself. Deva was neat in that in wayhaven at least she started as a fun messy joke where I wasn’t so worried about the conses of her quencies or her decisions making sense long term like other OCs, and she just kinda came alive and added context all on her own, which brought back the love I had for rping :D. It helps that the series isnt complete too. Adding more layers and meat to her and writing her consistently has obviously built on her character and why she acts certain ways or does certain things because I am an armchair psychologist but in the very beginning it was VERY loosey goosey and she broke a lot of creative blocks for me :>

Summary: Y/N found out some news about herself and really wants to tell her best friend Tom. She's really worried about how he'll react, but he comes through like the amazing person he is.

A/N: Jules? Posting two fics in a single night?? What is happening? Anyways, I'm loving this request, thank you so much Ash <3. This fic was so much fun to write. Also, reminder that requests are very much open!!

It was a pretty quiet day in the Holland house. Dom and Nikki, along with his brothers, were all out of town on a "vacation" of sorts. Tom ended up staying home to take care of Tessa. He was pretty excited to finally have the house to himself for once, especially since that meant he could invite you over. Everyone knew that you were his best friend-you've been there for him during some of the hardest times in his life. You've known him since before his first Marvel role, and you were so blessed that you got to see him grow up in his own little ways.

You and Tom knew practically everything about each other. He could always tell when you were having a bad day or vice versa, and knew exactly what to do. So, when you showed up on his front porch for the scheduled hangout with a fake smile on your face, he knew something was wrong. He tried to get you to talk to him several times, but eventually just let it be. He knew you well enough to trust that if it was serious you'd come to him in your own time.

You two started your TV marathon-Brooklyn Nine-Nine, of course- and sat down on the living room couch. Tessa immediately curled up in between you both. You leaned into Tom's chest, allowing him to wrap his arms around you providing the casual comfort only a best friend could. His and Tessa's presence and breathing calmed you significantly, even as your thoughts weighed heavily on your mind.

"What if he doesn't support me? What if he breaks off the friendship? What if he hates me?"

Your brain ran through all of the possible outcomes with anxiety, thoughts whirling through your head at what felt like 50 miles an hour. Only when Tom's hand squeezed your arm gently did you come out of it, shooting an apologetic smile at your best friend. He nodded in understanding, holding you just a little closer as if he could protect you from the negative thoughts he didn't even know were there.

Logically, you knew Tom would probably be supportive. He'd had so many positive interactions with LGBTQ fans and family alike, but for some reason your brain thought it would be different. Oh well, you figured, might as well get it over with.

However, the second you opened your mouth, you felt your blood run cold. You quickly shut it again, hoping Tom didn't notice your little speaking mishap.

In reality, Tom definitely noticed. It only made him more concerned for you. You'd been off the whole day, not paying attention to the show at all. He knew all he had to do was wait for you to come to him, but he was still anxious as hell. Tom was a helper, and he had never felt the need to help more than he did in this moment.

"Want to go get some ice cream, Y/N?" he asked, a smile on his face. Your eyes brightened up as you nodded, jumping off the couch. "Okay, I'll get Tessa's leash on. You wanna grab a hoodie from my closet?" As you nodded again, he went to grab Tessa's leash and let you do your thing. You came back downstairs a minute later, all ready to go.

Tom put Tess in the backseat, making sure she was secure. The minute you got in, you stole the aux and Taylor Swift started blaring. When Tom scoffed, you smirked unabashedly-it was Taylor Swift. The ride to the ice cream parlor was uneventful, filled with quieter music and Tessa's paws on your arm. It was peaceful, and for a moment you were finally able to relax.

The bell dinged as you both walked into the shop, Alex coming over to greet you.

"Hey, loves! How's it going?" they grinned, already preparing your orders and Tess' whipped cream.

"Pretty okay, Alex! Mom and Dad are out of town, so me and dingus here are having a sleepover." Tom smiled, making sure Tessa didn't try to sneak behind the counter again. As soon as Alex got your orders prepared, Tom motioned to head out to the car, but you shook your head.

"Is it alright if I stay back and talk to Alex for a sec?" At his nod, you walked back in to find Alex sitting at one of the tables with a milkshake. They smiled and motioned for you to sit down. Nose deep in their milkshake, they motioned for you to continue.

Alex was one of the most open people you've ever met. They made it public knowledge they were trans, and you looked up to them very much.

You gulped. "How..how did you come out to your best friend?" Alex immediately sat up a little straighter and made eye contact with you.

"Well, honestly I feel like they knew. I kind of just came out with it outright. They were so supportive, and honestly it went really well. Why? IS there something you need to tell me?" they asked, a glint in their eyes.

"I'm pan, Alex." you stated, eyes widening when they giggled a bit.

"Dude. I know. I also know that you're terrified to tell Tom, am I right?" At your shrug, they continued, "I can promise you 100% that he's going to support you. He's your best friend, and above all an awesome person. I think you should do it. You got this kiddo," they beamed. Standing up to hug them with tears in your eyes, you started walking out. They grabbed your shoulder, and whispered "it's gonna be fine." Planting a kiss on your cheek, you finally met Tom outside.

You ate your ice cream on the way home, quite enjoying the newfound confidence the chat with Alex gave you.

The second you got home, Tessa jumped on the couch with you, effectively taking Tom's spot. He playfully glared at Tess and scooted her over until he was sat beside you. Turning on the movie, he felt you snuggle up to him and relaxed.

Your heart was beating, however, as you sat up again. "Tom. I really need to get this out and I've been thinking about it for a while, it's completely fine if you don't accept it. I mean it's not fine, it'll suck ass, but I understand-"

our best friend cut you off by placing his hand over your mouth, taking his turn to speak. "Y/N. Please just tell me. I won't judge you, I pinky-promise."

"I..shit. I'm pan."

Realization flashed across his features, and before your eyes could get too teary he pulled you into his chest.

"That's okay, kiddo. I know. I've got you, it's okay love." He continued murmuring support into your ear as your eyes got heavy. You knew you were going to fall asleep soon. You placed your hand on Tessa's head by muscle memory as she scooted towards you, finding enough strength in you to say three words.

"I love you," you sighed sleepily, your best friend's face going soft again at those words. He murmured his reply, but you were already fast asleep. The last thing you registered was the feeling of being loved, and you wouldn't trade it for the world.
