Summer vacation was definitely the only thing you needed right now. It meant no more stress, no more school work, being able to dress however you want, and spending more time with your boyfriend, Lee Donghyuck.

From the second you started dating Donghyuck knew what kind of date he wanted to take you on. An amusement park date!

You were excited, of course, because this was one of the only “big dates” that you’ve had with Donghyuck. Your last “big date” was during spring break which happened to be months ago, so when you heard the words “Wanna come to the amusement park with me?” leave your boyfriend’s mouth you didn’t hesitate to agree.

At the time, you thought it was a great idea to agree to because it meant a whole day at the park with just your boyfriend. Little did you know the plans he had in store..

Both you and Donghyuck had just gotten off of one of those spinny rides, where you felt the entire purpose of it was just to make people sick, which meant it was his turn to pick what you would ride next.

“Where to next?” You asked as the two of you filed out of the exit gate.

“It’s a surprise,” He says, grabbing your hand. “Okay now you gotta trust me with this.. Close your eyes.”

“Um.. Okay.” You hesitantly say, following his instructions.

You suddenly felt yourself being dragged through a crowd of people, an occasional “sorry” being spoken whenever you felt yourself bump i to someone, which was quite often due to your boyfriend’s lack of navigation skills. It ended up with you two being just centimeters apart the entire time in order to avoid crashing into anyone else, which he absolutely loved.

“Okay.. You can open your eyes now!” He exclaimed as you reached his spot. From what you heard there were many screams along with the sound of a rollercoaster passing by so it was no surprise to where you were, only thing you had to guess was which coaster it was.

So when you opened your eyes, expecting a more tame one to be in front of you were a little more than disappointed. “Hyuckie no!!!” You whined, resulting in a pout to appear on his face. “Something else! Anything else!”

“Okay then.. What about the drop tower then?” He asked, knowing full well that you’d disagree.

“I think I’d rather do this over the drop tower..” You grumbled and once again, his smile came back.

See the thing is that you were okay with rollercoasters! Just as long as none of them had a 50ft. drop in them, which was definitely not the one that Donghyuck had taken you too.

“You are so gonna regret this Lee Donghyuck..” You whispered as you felt yourself being dragged once again.

In about ten (10) or so minutes you two found yourselves being seated at the very front row, which Donghyuck was extremely happy for, while you? Not so much.

“Hyuck do we have to??” You whined as you climbed into the seat next to him, quickly fastening your seatbelt.

"It’s my pick y/n.” He teased, sending a wink your way.

“I actually hate you right now.” You pout.

Soon enough you heard a voice on the intercom go, “Alright ladies and gentlemen, please keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. Thank you and enjoy the ride!” and before you knew it, you were moving.

“I still don’t know how I thought agreeing to this was a good idea..” You mumble, earning a snicker from Hyuck.

“Don’t worry Y/n, it’ll be great.” He jokes.

As you felt the ride climb higher you couldn’t help hold your breath and tightly grasps the supports around you. Once you reached the top you could practically see the drop below you. “Holy fuck.” You whispered, looking down at the track below you.

Before you knew it you heard a click on the ride, causing your cart to stay at the very top. The next thing you expected was for the coaster to quickly drop but instead you heard a voice on the intercom say “Uhm, ladies and gentlemen we are currently experiencing some technical difficulties and the ride has been paused for a quick moment. Excuse us while we call maintenance. In the meantime please keep all body parts inside the cart at all times for the ride will continue momentarily.”

“What?!” You yell as you feel a wave of panic rush through you. “We’re stuck?!”

“Looks like it..” Donghyuck mumbles.

“Oh my god- Oh my god, this it it! This is where I die!” You practically yell. “I’m going to die. I’m going to die with an absolute idiot!”

“Hey! You don’t mean that!” Donghyuck whines.

“Yes! Yes I do!” You scold, trying your best to send a glare his way.

“Well if I’m an idiot I might as well be your idiot.” He coos, in an attempt to at least get you to smile, which he most definitely failed.

“Hyuck this is all your fault!!!” You whined, voice high pitched and squeaky. “I can’t believe you got me into this mess!!”

“Hey! How was I supposed to know the ride was supposed to break down?” He replied back, slightly offended at what you just said.

“I- You get what I mean!!!”

“Geez, chillax y/n. It’s not like we’re gonna be stuck up here forever.” He scoffs playfully. “Besides, you’re only going to freak yourself out more if you keep panicking.”

“But Hyuck, we’re literally at the top if 50ft.”

“Okay? And? Just don’t look down.”

“Thanks babe. I love your words of encouragement.” You say sarcastically, rolling your eyes.

“Hey. Look at me.” He says, trying his best to face you. “We’ll be fine, okay?”

You sigh, accepting the fact that you probably won’t get out of here for a while. “Okay..”

And once again the intercom starts and you hear the same voice say “Ladies and gents, we have found the issue and the ride will continue momentarily. Staff will be coming around to check your seatbelts once again so please be cooperative, and we are sorry for the delay. Thank you and remember to keep your hands and feet in the cart at all times.”

“Oh thank god.” You exclaim and let out a sigh of relief. Soon enough you felt the cart drop and that slight feeling of relief quickly faded being replaced with fear.

“See! That wasn’t so bad was it?” Donghyuck joked as soon as  you made it back where you started. Saying nothing, you send a glare his way that said everything that needed to be said.

“I’m never letting you chose again.” You mumble, as you made your way out of the cart and onto the platform on the other side, your legs still wobbly causing Donghyuck to be your support beam.

“You don’t mean that.~” He cooed, holding you up as the two of you quickly filed out of the exit gate once again.

“Yes I do.” You scoff.

“Aw c'mon y/n!! Don’t be like that!!” He whines. “You can’t stay mad at me forever!! How was I supposed to know it was going to stop?” He asks again.

You don’t respond, you just pout at him response.

“Hey, how about this.” He says, quickly running in front of you to place his hands on your shoulders, causing you to look at him. “Instead of going on another ride how about we go get funnel cake or churros instead. Hm?” He asks.

“Okay..” You whisper. “Just. Don’t make me go on that ride again.”

“I won’t dear, I promise.”
