I don’t think calling out racism/orientalism makes you an anti, I wish I could bonk people on the head who think that way

at the same time I think the reason for people behaving this way is because there are some unintelligent poc and black people who cannot tell racism in a story context vs racism directed at them in a story apart

for example in the game Final Fantasy 16, people who are able to use magic are branded and exploited by people who cannot use magic. In this sense it is racism in a fantasy setting

but if I write about a story where black people are subjected to idk old Jim Crow laws and this is portrayed in a positive light, that would be racist and should be called out

same as drawing fictional characters in those “belly dancer” outfits or creating an evil fantasy race or character that alludes to Jews (The Legend of Zelda’s Ganondorf), these things are bad too

LUCIFER

→He always admired his significant other's work.

→But right now, he just wanted to drench himself in holy water and slowly feel his skin melt.

→They had randomly found their notebook open and then, boom, his eyes fell upon that atrocity.

→When they returned, he was very offended and confused, to say the list.

→He had a million questions in his mind, but the first one was, "You know we're dating, right?"

→MC knew this wouldn't be good for them.

→A lecture would ensue for sure.

→However, they just walked up to him calmly, grabbed the notebook and ran screaming, "DIALUCI FOREVER BITCH."

→Disappointed in more than one ways, Lucifer made note of never mentioning this to his brothers.

MAMMON

→He knew MC's writings could have something publish-worthy in it.

→And that would make him mad money.

→Instead, what he saw was entire pages filled with Lucifer being in a relationship with Diavolo.

→He knew he'd find gold, but damn.

→He could sell it to R.A.D. students in secret, which would increase its value.

→It was priceless.

→He was snapped out of his thoughts when MC bonked him on the head.

→"Mammon, no-"

→"MAMMON, YES"

→Legend has it, Mammon is still hanging from the chandelier.

LEVIATHAN

→He knew his lover wrote in their free time.

→He'd asked them so many times to write fanfiction for him, so it was common practice for him to flip through their notebook.

→Yet, what he found this time, shocked him.

→For five seconds, at least.

→After that was over, he took pictures and uploaded them on Devilgram with the caption: "ROTFL MC's dead after this 💀💀💀"

→Of course he got scolded.

→Like, Levi you snitch.

SATAN

→Homeboy loved the fact his lover wrote.

→He always loved books and reading, so having his partner write was a dream come true.

→Just like Levi, he found out while flipping through their notebook.

→Bold of you to assume Satan wasn't pleased.

→In fact, he made his own additions and even started discussing it seriously with MC!

→If it was gonna piss off Lucifer, he'd go all the way.

→He was this close to publishing it, but MC talked him out of doing that.

ASMODEUS

→We all know this guy knows the most major tea in all of Devildom.

→Upon finding this, he deadass criticised MC about how "wrong it portrayed their relationship."

→Helped MC write the scenes better.

→"There aren't enough sex scenes."

→Lord have mercy on MC's soul.

→He asked for more of it with the excuse of "Lucifer and Diavolo aren't doing such stuff yet so I need something to replace that."

BEELZEBUB

→Was so clueless all the way through.

→If it weren't for a literal scene where they were named by name he wouldn't know what "Dialuci" was.

→But that's all pretty much.

→It is what it is.

→If it helps MC find their motivation, he doesn't care enough.

BELPHEGOR

→Bold of you to assume he didn't suggest it in the first place.

→He's too lazy to write something like that himself.

→But MC was the perfect partner in crime.

→He had them write it and then he tried to read it without sleeping; not because the writing was boring, but because he couldn't help it.

→Definitely encouraged them to publish it.

→But when he heard it was just to shake off the writer's block he was a bit disappointed.

→Like, damn, it could've been the next 50 shades but instead you playin'.

DIAVOLO

→Hoo, boy.

→Ond moment he was strolling at R.A.D., the next he was 3 pages deep into a fanfic about him and Lucifer.

→"MC when are you gonna continue it?"

→"What do you mean it was just practice?"

→Constantly begs them to continue it.

→No one knows why he likes it so much.

→But people's guess is that he enjoys reading Lucifer with its mere existence and the fact that he's read it.

SIMEON

→He found the notebook lying around randomly.

→Depending on the kind of fanfiction, he'd react differently.

→If the Dialuci was domestic and fluffy, he would be secretly feel fuzzy inside.

→If it was angst, he'd question everything he knew. He'd also be extremely concern about MC's mental health.

→Now, if it were smut... On the level of it, he'd pray God to have mercy on their soul. He'd be confused as to why they'd write this about people they know.

→At the end of the day, it's their life.

→If it helped them escape that "writer's block" then so be it.

How I feel about this character

I love Ñolo. God, can u imagine the pressure this guy is under? he comes to beleriand ready to kick his brother’s ass and immediately loses his youngest son, his eldest goes on a suicide mission into the heart of enemy territory to get some Ass, and then gets handed one (1) nephew on death’s door and the high kingship of the noldor all in under like, two months. and this was after abandoning his wife of probably a thousand+ sun years and having to cross the helcaraxë for 30 years while his people dropped dead around him and his daughter-in-law fell beneath the sea.he gets to beleriand thinking like FINALLY i can kick my brother’s ass and then immediately gets handed 3920x the responsibilities that he had on the helcaraxë and is just like “…… well fuck someone has gotta be the adult here and maedhros is too busy disassociating to do it”. I love him.

the absolute PRESSURE this guy is under is wild. he held a siege against a GOD for 400 years. i am not shocked in the slightest that he gave in to despair in the last few hours of his life. like, fuck. his second eldest and his daughter also just rode out of there with his precious grandchild whom i am absolutely sure he spoiled ROTTEN and doted on with everything that he was, and this was AFTER he lost his youngest mind you, and he loses half his forces in a battle they were not prepared for. he just can’t fucking deal with it anymore dude.one last yolo, and i’m out, he thinks, and he’s valid.

another thing I just remembered and love is how he pretends to be not as petty as his brother but literally renames himself finwë ñolofinwë just to piss his brother off like, politically but also linguistically. he’s such a younger sibling i love it.

his wife I suppose. I just think of ñolo as my Dad so i don’t wanna think about him bonking anyone djakls. i dont really begrudge his wife for not going with him and perhaps they can make up when he gets ressed.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Írimë! Him and his sister are fucking bros until the end and you can’t change my mind. Lalwen is his sparring partner and his confidant, his most trusted advisor beside his son and she was the only one of his siblings to come with him across the Ice. She commands one of his armies, Fingon another and he the third. I hc that she dies in the Dagor Bragollach and that is the final push that ñolo needed to charge melkor :-( She stays in the halls with Ñolo until he’s ready to leave even though she could have left a long time ago. THEY ARE BEST BUDS!!!!

My unpopular opinion about this character

Uhhh I have some hc, I don’t know if they’re really unpopular…….The Ice changes him to the point where he can command it at will with a Song. His fortress at Hithlum is full of intricate ice sculptures that will never melt unless he wills it. Not really unpopular but I enjoy the mental image.Another thing, also don’t really know if this is unpopular but.. Ñolo didn’t charge morgoth to give hope to his people. He did not charge a God thinking that he would win, Ñolo was more wise than that. He wanted it to be over, and thought this the only way he could go without his people losing faith entirely when he was gone. He was just Tired man. and good god did he not fuck up morgoth the best that he could. an absolute legend. i hope he had a nice long rest in the halls.I don’t know if this is unpopular but I read this HC a long time ago and I’m gonna repeat it here because it was so good and I can’t find it now: Ñolo’s people sort of blame Fingon for being condemned to the Ice because he was the one that first lifted his blade of Ñolo’s people to jump to maedhros’ defense and a lot of them use him as a scapegoat on the Ice and give him a lot of abuse and Ñolo kinda.. lets them do it because he knows that his people need something to keep them going and he feels guilty about it for many years after, until his death. He doesn’t blame his son for leaping to maedhros’ defense, Fingon has always been hot headed and foolish for those he loves, but he wishes he would have been a better father to him when he needed him most. A sad hc but a good one IMO. I wish I could find that original post… fuck where was it..

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon

I wish Turgon & Aredhel & Idril hadn’t left their father without a word for hundreds of years after he had just lost his youngest not like a hundred years past. Ñolo didn’t deserve that shit man. I wonder the Noldor would have won if Turgon had been at the Dagor Bragollach with half of Ñolo’s forces and highly trained Lords. Does anyone ever mention that? Turgon literally just does not show to the battle and Fingolfin’s people (and the Fëanorians but this post aint about them) get absolutely demolished which leads Ñolo to his desperate charge. And the eagle has the AUDACITY to bring Ñolo’s body to TURGON?? HE WASN’T EVEN THERE MAN…… what the fuck… Turgon literally just fucked off to play castle maker or whatever and showed up once it was too late, watched his brother die and then ran away. whack.anyways yeah. I wish his children had stuck by him, and I wish that the eagle had brought his body to Fingon who never left his side throughout everything. That was whack.

last song: “Sanctuary” by Joji. it’s got a lovely chorus, as most of his songs do. my friend made me listen to fried noodles and i fell in love with the way his hooks are composed and sung. i was exclusively into country, bluegrass, indie folk, and oldies for a very long time, but i’ve been trying to branch out more. i’m very picky, though.

last movie: What Men Want is the last thing i watched. it wasn’t the worst thing i’ve ever seen. it’s a romcom so it felt low-stakes with a happy ending. i watched it after watching Gone Girl so it was a nice palate cleanser.

currently reading: i’ve taken a break from reading it at the moment due to the demands of daily life, but i’m working on The Book of Werewolves by Sabine Baring-Gould. it’s a factual account of werewolfery throughout time, including retelling stories of people turning into beasts in legend. it’s kind of a dry read and contains a bit of Old English, but it’s significantly better than The Werewolf by Montague Summers which is much drier and has an air of pretentiousness that makes it difficult to drudge through. if you’re interested in werewolves, i do recommend both books, but either get an updated version of The Werewolf with Latin translations included if possible, or just stick with The Book of Werewolves.

currently watching: Judge Faith, Paternity Court, and Divorce Court. they are the epitome of guilty pleasures, but sometimes i want to submerge myself in drama.

honestly theres a point in time for kpop groups when they begin to evolve from idols to artists... and i feel like that is starting to happen to izone

im honestly so freaking happy about fiesta because it’s so much more than i imagined it would be. tbh usually when fans freak out about the dance i cant really trust it most of the time, but after seeing wizone reactions to the showcase on twt i really wanted to believe... and im so glad that they delivered

their dancing feels so genuine to me and it feels like theyre all on the same page and there isnt a single member throwing off the balance and they all have the same fire and intention in their eyes. i dont know how to explain it but my heart can feel how much they value respect and take seriously the stage and the music and the fans. and this honestly reflects back into the people that work with them; the staff, videographers, stylists, etc. the video editing was amazing for mv. the outfits were perfect for the dance both visually and as well for comfort for dancing (the boots are comfy to dance in... much better than violeta shoes). 

can you imagine how much further they’ll continue to grow if theyve already improved and achieved this much in this amount of time?

before i go into small and random thoughts i had imma end it off and say

small random things i noticed:

yenas dancing is absolutely stunning. she always jokes around and get called a joker and a bluffer and then yuri laughs and says yena needs more practice... but to be able to convey through dance and performance at this level you need to think a LOT and work A LOT i love her

eunbi got given parts that made use of her vocal range and her voice came out so strong... and spaceship made me feel things

there are small parts in the choreo that are “between moves” but they keep focus and also kept that clean... they really went to that level of detail...

ahn yujins growth is freaking scary... and she learned how to dance as a tall person to match short members (this is actually a skill LOL i got yelled at in practice for like 4 months straight for it until i learned)

chaeyeon can include head parts in choreography while keeping the camera’s intention is kind of super insane

im worried for some of their knees in that one leg down part (except for chaewon and yujin who are v stable)

when hitomi did textures in her part i fking cheered my heart out even though it was one second LOL

ive never felt an idol step on my so hard until chaewon’s first part when she threw down and stomped girl GET IT. she also looks down on u like ur a piece of shit i love it we love our swearing girl crush legend

i dont know how two people are able to share a dance break when the formation stays the same and they dont share centre but chaewon and chaeyeon did it

yuri at 4s going down wow

there are times when cheonjae ahn yujin really slows her moves down and takes her time and makes us feel it and i love that

theres a part where they throw their arms up and yujin is in the centre and she doesnt throw her arms up all the way to match everyone elses arm height and that was peak intellectual

whoever izones choreographer is theyve been respecting the music since forever and i appreciate that

theres always one idol in a group that doesnt hold the camera long enough at the end of their part and izone used to have that as well but it doesnt happen anymore wtf

the dance lets eunbi show off her strength rather than going for elegance and i think she slapped me a few times and bonked me with her hips a few times but i encourage that

hitomis stage presence improved so much i freaking love her

i want yena fancam shes so good

u might be wondering why i care about textures so much but textures are THE thing that kpop always lacked which thus took away the meaning from the dance. u cant always punch and u cant always make things soft and izone GETS IT

Strengths/Powers/skills: plushy strength plushy people are very very naturally strong despite of there fluffy stature. this is because of their strong will, the will is converted to physical strength by the plush'es soul. however how much they can lift is let entirely to how much will a plushy has. shock absorption due to a plush fluffy body they can absorb most physical blows making fighting a plushy with fisticuffs a bad idea in general lol. however this goes the same for the plushy, if a plush punches you it will just feel like a pillow hitting your face, UNLESS they have implants that would make there punches hurt. static electricity it can only be done if the plush is standing on a fluffy carpet or if theres another plushy next to him/her. since the plushy is made completely from fabric the static shock can be very strong. hand to hand combat/ daily activity expert it means what it means. flexibility flow riding he is extremely flexible also to make his elemental ability much more deadly he mastered the ability to move freely like the wind. very good dancer is very fast despite his size smol but will fite u Weaknesses: fire fabric+fire= ash water water can clean a plush BUT it will make him/her sluggish and slow until he/she dry. to much water can lead to fabric breaking apart and stitching moving out of place. negative emotions to much of it and a plush will start feeling drain and weak due to it draining his/her soul the nightosphere due to the chaotic energy in the nightosphere a plush can be drained to the point of death, the time it take depends on the plushy. anything that can destory fabric really be creative lol uldamon has very high defensive, its common to not find a weakness in his fighting form Figure/Build: smol pupper, hunchy hunch, is old but will fite u Hair Color: grey blue Eye Color: black Scars/Distinguishing Marks: he has loads of stitches and patches. most notable is the stich on his forehead Fears/Phobias: losing all of his friends Hobbies: gardening, exploring, reading dirty magazines (I BORROWED THEM FROM JACK))

18 - Worst game you’ve played 

oh man this is a tricky one…when i was a kid i used to play all those like bratz doll games and barbie games but some of those barbie games are legit fun so like i dont wanna call them the worst ever yknow? i paid like 50 dollars for that mmo game Defiance when it first came out (of course its free to play now too) and ended up logging like 3 hours tops into it and then going ‘why am i playing this its so bad’ so that would probably have to be my pick LOL

19 - Hardest game you’ve ever played

i am so not into difficult games at all because my frustration level rises very easily and if i get too frustrated then i just end up not playing and never finishing what i was doing ksjfsdlkfjsdlkfs. i love the Binding of Isaac but i’ve never actually beaten it before, also Brutal Legend is so fun and i cosplayed one of the main characters a few years ago but was never actually able to beat that one either

OH JEEZ OH JEEZ i mean, i have a very special place in my heart for Valve games, i am literally wearing my portal sweatshirt right now and i used to have a ‘Bonk’ sweatshirt from tf2 that i loved (as well as like, a whole buncha other portal/tf2/l4d merchandise scattered around my house) so if i absolutely had to pick it would probably be them. i love Blizzard as of recent bcus of Overwatch and i’ve been following their activity a little bit since that came out…also i kind of have to mention Harmonix in here somewhere because the amount of time i’ve put into guitar hero and rock band games in my life is absolutely ridiculous. also Maxis probably because the sims. this was supposed to be one answer fjdgdhfgkjd

honestly like…probably either one of the Sims games or if i’m being entirely honest SSX 3? LMAO. ssx 3 was one of the first games i got into as a kid and i still play it a lot on my ps2 and i really love it

hmmmmMMM…….tbh i’ve wanted someone to make a Left 4 Dead movie forever and i would be really happy if that ever happened at some point, but i would want it to include the characters from both of the games yknow??

fps probably, its what i play most often nowadays. i also really like music/rhythm games, rpgs and fighting games, but im like, really really bad at fighting games as much as i try not to be loool

HOO BOY i am the biggest cry baby ever so i cry at everything basically klsdfjsdlkf, The Walking Dead game ruined my entire life when i played it and i still havent recovered from the way season 1 ended, im pretty sure i cried at the end of season 2 as well (havent played season 3 yet because i am lazy and poor), im pretty sure i cried at the end of Undertale, Tales from the Borderlands made me tear up a lil bit, DEFINITELY lost my shit at the end of Portal 2 the first time i played…if theres a game thats supposed to make u emotional by the end of it and ive played it i guarantee u i’ve bawled

absolutely getting every achievement in Lollipop Chainsaw lmao. i think thats the only game i’ve gotten every achievement in except for ones that give u achievements for finishing all the parts of the game and stuff like that. i got some pretty tricky achievements in portal 2 back in the day too and i remember being rly happy about that
