I was once on a trip with a bunch of friends and family when I accidentally kicked my digital camera into a stream while on a hike. Despite desperate efforts to dry it off the camera stopped working almost immediately. Since I was broke and had a pretty limited knowledge of electronics repair, my immediate solution was to get a shit load of dry rice to try and do the cellphone in rice thing asap.

Fortunately everyone was immediately on board with this mission to try and save my camera so we all ended our hike, piled into two cars, and drove straight to a grocery store where I ran inside and bought four pounds of rice and nothing else. It wasn’t until we were back at the hotel and I was pouring several pounds of rice into a paper bag with my camera that one of the dudes on the trip was like “ohhhhh that’s why we were in such a rush”

YALL. This dude had somehow missed the entire debacle with the camera and had just been going along with the flow in what he assumed was some sort of bizarre uncontrollable rice lust on my part. He literally thought I was so frantic to eat some rice that I ended a hike and made everyone come with me to buy bags and bags of the stuff. I was like DUDE WHY WOULDN’T YOU SAY SOMETHING and he was just like eh I didn’t think twice about it I thought maybe you were just super hungry and we were being supportive 😵‍💫

college is supposed to be a new start for danny: one in which his “work” life and personal life stay strictly separate. but when danny moves into his new gotham university dorm for the upcoming semester, his hopes are dashed. gotham is overflowing with lost souls, and they won’t leave him alone long enough for him to finish his damn physics homework.

when mr. and mrs. wayne offer him refuge in their old study, danny thinks he’d be stupid not to take it. he wasn’t expecting their house to still be inhabited, but whatever. he can blend into the background. he’ll do anything for some peace and quiet.

now if only he can convince martha to stop trying to out him to the rest of the family.

The notable exception here is that the werewolf swatches are only available for werewolves, and none of the others are available for werewolves! Download just one of the genetic swatch options for each occult, they’ll conflict otherwise.

Cat eye pupil in additional brights (there’s a lime green in the default swatches), plus some naturals, and then some more black sclera brights! (Red and icy blue are part of the defaults). Available for Vampire/Spellcaster only, for everyone, and as contacts.

Under the Sea

All the existing mermaid eye swatches in new colors to round out the palette! Available for Mermaids only, for everyone, and as contacts. The mermaids only version is not available for infant-child, as it is only available in mermaid form!

tbh I’m actually pretty happy with the existing werewolf swatches! But here is a set of 10 new brights with a cat-eye pupil, and both white sclera and black sclera options. These ones are a bit different, as they are only available for werewolves!

He's shaking. His heart is burning in his chest, pounding like a jackhammer against his ribs, and there's a trembling, aching rage building beneath his tongue and pressing against his teeth.

In his hands, his fingers tense and wrists locked, the article reads in big, black font: JOKER LOCKED IN ARKHAM ASYLUM AGAIN!

Danny shouldn't feel so angry about this, this is a good thing. Gotham doesn't have to deal with him for another few months at the least. He should feel relieved, a little more at peace.

He is not.

He cannot swallow the fury thudding behind his eyes, the burning white heat searing a deeper hole in his chest. A searing green filling static in his ears in the way only the rage of the restless dead can have.

How is he going to kill him now?

Arkham may be the only asylum in America made entirely of tissue paper, but it's still an asylum. There are cameras, guards, other patients resting inside. Danny can think of a million different ways to sneak in and kill Joker, but someone will hear his screaming.

It'd have to be rushed.

He doesn't want it to be rushed.

It's a cruel thought. Cruel and cold and merciless, but Danny doesn't feel an ounce of shame, not an ounce of guilt, for it. He wants to be alone with the Joker when he kills him, that's all he wants. In Arkham, you are never alone.

He forces his anger to bubble back down into his chest, stuffing it between his heartstrings and his ribs like a blanket you're trying to bunch up into a corner. It sizzles and burbles. The static begins to fade out into a high-pitched ringing; it sounds like distant screaming.

Danny is still trembling, but he can think a little clearer now.

He can wait.

He can wait. He can wait. He can wait. He canwait. Hecanwait. Hecanwait.

He can wait.

He's waited five years for this. He can wait one more week. One more month. One more year. However long it takes for the Joker to break back out, Danny can wait.

And when the Joker does, inevitably, break out.

Danny uncrinkles his fingers around the edges of the newspaper, loosens his limbs just enough so he can pay for it.

He'll be waiting.

The dead, after all, have all the time in the world.
