So watching the first five part thing in prime or that one episode with the scraplets I can’t remember which one I finally figured out where my start of the love of OP/Ratchet came from.

The way Ratchet says “Optimus?” When a thing is sneaking up on him. It’s stupid, yes, but I was HOOKED. He assumed it was Optimus and the way he said it- they were not just good friends in a non-historical sense. Also the episode where Optimus got sick? Y e s .

They are married and Bumblebee is their son. Sorry I don’t make the rules just enforce them
