TFR DESIGN POSTING: THE BIG BOSSES!!!

Optimus Prime and Elita-1 are many things. Co-commanders, conjunx enduras, the very proud caretakers of Bumblebee, and forces to be reckoned with. Having met as co-workers at the docks of Iacon, when they were known as Orion Pax and AR-1/Ariel, the last place they saw themselves ending up was leading the Autobot Resistance, but those are the cards they've been dealt and they'll do their best to play them.

Optimus is the youngest bot to have ever been made Prime, and did so without any complete training, during the Fall of Crystal City led by Megatron and his followers, which is the incident that sparked the Autobot-Decepticon war. Optimus has come into his own as a natural leader. Underneath his stoic exterior is a kind, selfless, somewhat awkward bot who wants nothing more than to protect his fellow Autobots and ensure that they live peaceful lives, even if he loses that possibility for himself.

Elita is a former miner, who was initially tricked by the upper-class Megatron into joining the Decepticons by lying about his intentions of abolishing mining practices all over Cybertron. Out of fear of what he would do to her if she tried to leave, she stayed with the 'Cons as his terrifying second-in-command for the first half of the war, until she finally escaped and reunited with her long lost friend and love, Optimus. She's much more bold and headstrong than her partner, and balances out his social ineptitude by being more of an open jokester. Above all, she strives to make up for her past mistakes and hopes to end the war that she helped to start.

Although the Autobots all crashed on Earth in the year 1899 and were scattered all across North America, Optimus and Elita actually shared an escape pod and did not emerge from stasis until the 1970s, finding themselves near the island of Montréal in Québec, Canada, where they picked up many strange human concepts such as the French language. Unbeknownst to them, this was the hometown of their future human comrade, Sadie Monroe, the girl who would aid in reuniting their scattered team and ultimately proving to be one of their greatest allies.

I ain't really got much to say on these so far, just that they'll have full refs soon

One thing I can say about TFR&R without begging for asks first is that Elita and Optimus are completely inseparable. They're never apart unless they choose to be and there's not a single force in the universe that would stop them from reuniting

How did Optimus and Elita's relationship start?

They met when Ariel started working at the docks, and quickly became friends, which later became mutual romantic feelings for each other. Though they didn't confess anything until after the war started

If anyone's interested I got some TFR Optimus truck-isms

- He honks when startled or surprised

- His engine rumbles when he's angry

- His engine also rumbles when he's relaxed and happy, and it's softer than the angry rumbles (purring if you will)

- His smokestacks start puffing when he's angry or flustered

The TF One brain virus got to me so here's some pre-war AU stuff!!!

This concept hit me like a truck and I've been obsessed with it and I just reeeeeaaaallllyyyyy wanted to share it

I think my first official robot designs that I'll post will be Optimus and Elita, but for now take them as bbys <3

puuuuhhhlease tell me the differences between your optimus and megatron to the others. honestly the variety that’s there is amazing sometimes two guys just wanna bash each other in and sometimes they were weird about it (shivering off of having just seen tf1)

Soooooo my Megs was like a rich aristocrat guy who profited directly off of the labour of miners while Optimus was a humble dockworker who dreamed of going to Iacon to study history and hopefully become a professor, and then Elita was actually a miner who escaped and started working at the docks. I wanted them to kinda be like their TFA versions with my own lil twists and additions bc TFA is my favourite continuity <33

TFR's getting a name change!

I was never fully happy with "Resistance" as a name, it always felt a lil boring to me, which is why I'm very happy to introduce you all to...

Transformers: Recharge and Rebound (TFR&R)

I'll come up with some deeper meaning for it eventually but for now I just prefer it to Resistance, I think it's fresh and funsies and maybe it'll inspire a core theme for the robot designs or smth idk

This won't affect any of the story thus far btw! I'll be retagging everything with new tags that go with the name and tweaking the Ao3 title sometime today to make everything match

Do megatron and Optimus have any kind of relationship together? I'm aware Elita idolized Megatron or something of that caliber at one point but what about Op?

Optimus only really knows him as the guy who tricked his girlfriend into joining a cult. They've met a few times but they don't have much personal beef. Megatron tries to make it personal because he thinks it's his destiny to have a weird homoerotic rivalry with the Prime but Optimus is just not interested at all
