Another page from the book of Lococology! This subject of INTERNAL ORGAN STRUCTURE.
⚠️CW‼️: Text book layout of INTERNAL ORGAN STRUCTURE. No gore or anything explicit; stuff you’d see in school books. More under the cut.
Quick Facts!
> Locos have two hearts a Major and Minor Chamber.
> Locos also posses two stomachs, a smaller stomach to soak food in highly acidic compounds then is transferred into the second stomach for absorption.
> Locos cannot go long without food or water due to their very active lifestyle and high metabolism that contribute to a body temperature upwards to 110 F (~43 C).
> Locos can eat a variety of things and are mainly considered omnivorous. However their main food source is Wood and Coal to maintain their carbon rich carapace (the outer shell that protects them) and to reinforce their bones.
> Diesel consuming Locos do better with their liquid fuel diet, but will occasionally indulge in solid foods.
> All Locos come in categorized sizes: Miniature, Narrow, Small, Standard, and Large.
> Locos disperse heat through the Dorsal Thermal Vent (DTV) located somewhere on their backs. The DTV is also called a funnel. The dispersion of body heat allows them to cool down as they cannot sweat. This gives the illusion of steam!

okay, I have no idea if st-blr is interested in this, but I see a lot of “I don’t understand what this means” on any post about the technical aspect of playing music, and maybe people don’t care or like it that way, 100% valid— but I was like. hey. I can maybe help with this a little bit! lol
Here’s a video of Dorothea Taylor explaining the standard paradiddle ;)
#sleep token#the standard paradiddle ;))))#tell me if this was interesting to you and I will upload some guitar information later from my textbooks/online to help explain#guitar anatomy and how guitars work#if you’re interested#!!#if you’re not interested that is totally cool and you are not hurting my feelings; I promise#personal

You are #1 spider fan right? When you draw the spiders do you use the proper spider leg anatomy or do you just wing it?
Psh I just wing it - spiders have so many limbs, trying to draw each of them anatomically correct is like drawing hands and keeping track of the anatomy of each of the fingers. 90% of the time it isn't necessary and leads to problems with the posing.
#ask#i have a textbook on spider behaviour and anatomy#i would never in my life use the diagrams in there for drawing references

Blessed is the cardiac striated muscle tissue that contracted out of Love for us. Blessed is the left ventricle which allowed the blood of the Saviour to reach every part of His body, and blessed is the aorta that branched out to take it there. Blessed is the Vena Cava that gathered all that most holy blood to bring it back to the Heart, and blessed are the right atrium and ventricle for pumping it into the lungs. Blessed are the pulmonary arteries that took it to receive the oxygen it needed for this wondrous, mercyful, painful, incomprehensible task of reconciliation. Blessed are the pulmonary veins, which brought this revitalized blood back to the left atrium, so that it could once more run through His body and give Him the strenght He needed purely because He chose to need it. Blessed are the valves that opened and closed when necessary to allow this process, and blessed are the tendinous cords and the sinoatrial node that made it rhythmic. Blessed are the coronary arteries, which supplied His very Heart with the nutrients demanded to keep It alive and beating. Blessed is the pericardium, which filled with water and blood at the Sorrowful Passion and blessed is every layer - epicardium, myocardium and endocardium - that was ripped open by a spear. Blessed is the Heart of Our Lord, which burned with love for the littlest of creatures. And blessed is every single cell, electric impulse, and extracellular matrix that permitted It to se Its mission through.
(pride flags version)

they'll try to convince you you need to be Cold Hearted to be a scientist, but realistically you need to have that Spark and Passion™️ if you want to make a discovery or inspire others to explore the world of science
#they want soldiers not people with ideas. is the thing#to execute a certain idea you need to be practical sure. but if we never have ideas we will always be executing the same things#and that's awfully mechanical and robotic and reminds me of the act of nodding along#everything we know we know because somebody dared to use their imagination. and then somebody else decided to challenge that other someone.#and so on. but i guess the goal is to keep running in circles#SCIENCE IS MAN-MADE. IT IS FLAWED. IT HAS A HEART THAT DEMENDS ITS OWN DOCTOR TOO.#do you know how many things in my anatomy textbooks are said to be discovered by students? why are we so scared to be wrong these days#EVERYTHING NEEDS TO GET UGLY AGAINNNNN

Finally an updated biology post. Wanted to work out organs/skeletons for Corldaxians, decided to update them for zoronxie too.
As well as some more realistic textures for them. I will never draw them like this again but idk. That’s what they’d actually look like. Zoronxie are a lot more tarantula than bird, and Corldaxians look really dragon-esc. Which I really like bc that was the original idea for their Taysya and Kielni cousins.
#it’s almost funny comparing the zoronxie exoskeleton here to the one I originally did#idk sometimes you just have to stare at a spider to remind yourself how exoskeletons work#speculative biology#spec bio#speculative anatomy#speculative evolution#spec evo#xenobiology#alien species#creature design#worldbuilding#little bird worldbuilding#my art#zoronxiecore#greetings from enith#medical textbook images to get tormented by#like actually this time

Robians, unlike most robots, are not designed to be particularly efficient or logical. Or, really, they aren't "designed" at all. Their internals largely mimic that of their old, organic body, fused and twisted and melted and seared into inorganic material. Their benefit comes from being virtually free to create and easily disposable given the number of organic Mobians to roboticize. Which is excellent, because repairing a Robian is like untying a massive, unruly, fragile knot of yarn, if the yarn were made of metal and rubber that used to be flesh and blood.
#thinking about doctors/mechanics that specialize in treating robians during and after the war#working with no blueprints because they do not exist. no anatomy textbook because each robian is reformed completely differently.#i'm sure chuck would've thrown himself into that. -⚡️#mecha_s.txt#metal_s.txt#quinn.txt

I was suddenly struck by the headcanon that the Doctors Trafalgar probably had stuff like this pop-up anatomy book for Law to examine as a kid - it’s the kind of thing you’d see in universities up until the past few decades.
