I couldn't believe that this 2020 compound, with its own island, in Cleveland, TX is under $1m. The 3bd, 4ba, 4,980 sq ft home is $970k + $20mo. HOA. Then, someone commented that she was going to buy a home in Cleveland, TX, but driving around, realized that the neighborhood was just built between 78 meth houses. I googled it and it does rank #7 of the 20 most dangerous cities in Texas. Ooookay, well let's take a look.

Well, this is special, who doesn't love murals? Very cozy living room.

Murals continue thru the kitchen. Look at the shelving so you can put a little village or maybe a train.

Open concept. Look at the size of that dining table.

Large primary bedroom has a fireplace with some built-ins. Are those beds on the floor for the kiddos or doggos?

Large ensuite with an enormous shower. Look at the low faucet- must be a foot washer.

A mural in the closet/dressing room camouflages a door.

Huge child's room also has a fireplace and low floor beds. There's also a luggage rack, I guess for sleepovers?

This room's ensuite has a shower with an entrance and an exit.

This bathroom opens to an unusual hallway. Look at the poles. Maybe they're supposed to simulate antique hitching posts.

The home theater has a pool table. Well, that would be annoying during a movie.

A very large saloon type bar. This is nice.

Kids playroom.

Cool laundry room has painted cabinets and an old laundry tub with an antique wringer.

I like this- housing for the antique car collection.

How cozy this room is.

Home gym with sauna and kitchenette.

Small shower room.

Separate guest or in-law apt.

Up here is a little guest quarters.

Very cute. Teens would love this.

Covered outdoor area.

They went with an above-ground pool. Interesting.

Entrance gate to the property.

Looks like a boat or a shoe from above. 5.58 acres of land. What a shame if it's true about the meth, b/c this is a lovely property.

The Littlefield House is a historic home in Austin, Texas, on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. The home was built in 1893 for Civil War veteran George Littlefield, who was a successful businessman in the bank and cattle trades and a major benefactor to UT. It was designed using the popular Victorian style at a cost of $50,000.

Brent takes us through another architectural style: The Queen Anne Victorian Style which included features such as a wrap around porch, copper on the roof, sandstone, marble, and bricks. Brent also points out the pitches on the roof, the ornamentation, and the over-the-top and victorian features. The reason they built this way during this time was because they could. Why? Because these additions were handmade with machines, not purely by hand. The machines made it easier.
