I love this game the models are so ugly the clothes are abysmally hideous, the colors of most things are either bland or oversaturated, but at the same time, nothing beats joyriding around Ibiza and Oahu while GPS yells at you "you're driving in the wrong direction. please turn around when possible" every 17.5 microseconds

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown offers up a lot of fun both on the track and in its simulated world. A lot of work was put in to make Hong Kong Island feel like a realistic place with far more exploration than one is used to in a racing game. Some of those elements don't hit perfectly, but the on-track performance is what counts the most and Solar Crown largely succeeds there.

The writing was on the wall. Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown (TDUSC) was not in a good state to release, but it released anyway. The developers, Kylotonn, went on strike the moment the game dropped due to the poor working conditions with working under Nacon. They're not even the only development studio on strike for Nacon. Source

If you had a keen eye, this was predictable, but it's still a shame that this happened to a beloved franchise. One can only hope that Nacon will give TDUSC the proper support it needs from here on out, but if the pattern with shitty publishers has shown anything, TDUSC is fucked. $50 for this travesty.

I'd would say that the money needed to play TDUSC would be better spent on alternatives, but TDUSC's niche doesn't really have an alternative outside of like, maybe The Crew Motorfest? Maybe people just need to support newer racing games instead of betting on their nostalgia.
