Teruel, Spain: Teruel is a city in Aragon, located in eastern Spain, and is also the capital of Teruel Province. Though the Escalinata Staircase technically a purpose-built construction – meant to connect the centro de la ciudad to the railway station – the Escalinata Staircase has become so much more. Las asociaciones vecinales zaragozanas se han convertido en puntos de recogida para las personas afectadas por las inundaciones en València. Se anima a la gente a donar comida no peredecedera, también productos sin lactosa y sin gluten. Además, también se necesitan productos de limpieza, de higiene personal, compresas, pañales, etc. Recogerán productos toda esta semana (2-8 de noviembre 2024)

El ayuntamiento de Zaragoza también recogerá donaciones en el Refugio (C/ Tomás Crespo Agüero, 1,5)

Next wednesday I will finally do a defense for my degree's end project, and after that it'll become my own project to work at my own pace. So it's a good time to finally talk about it here :3

I'm making an illustrated book with my father

"Emilia: The gaze to Abyss" is a biographical novel my dad released on 2018.

It's the story of my great-grandmother Emilia, and what she experienced before, during and after Spain's civil war in 1936.

My work here was to read the full book again, and making illustrations that will accompany the story in a new edition.

I originally thought it could be done by the end of this summer (HAHA! FOOLISH ME :') ), but no matter how long it takes, it's a project I'm willing to finish.

It's a very different work from my usual art, and it's not a topic that can sell well worldwide, but I still wanted to talk about it here, given it carries all my artistic development from these past years ^^

When I was little, I got to meet my nana for a few years before she passed, and 20 people in our family, me included, are here today because of her. So you'll probably realize that my involvement in this project and the emotional impact it gives me is quite... heavy 😅

It's the main reason I haven't been as active on here these last months.

And luckily, it's also the reason I got better at drawing with Krita!
