I’ve decided to make the Dinosquad characters in Jurassic World Evolution 2. Starting off we have Max (T-Rex obviously), Rodger (Nasutoceratops), and Caruso (Kentrosaurus)

Next up we have Ms. M (Deinonychus), Fionna (Spinosaurus), and Buzz (Cearadactylus)

As for the villains we have Veloci (Velociraptor duh), his assistant Peter (Quetzalcoatlus), and my OC Valentino (Therizinosaurus)

Finally, just for fun we have Fiona’s sister Terri (Spinosaurus), Liam (T-Rex), and Rump (Dimetrodon)

I recently attended an Elmhurst University lecture event featuring legendary producer, musician, and songwriter Nile Rodgers, hosted by legendary Chicago disc jockey and Elmhurst U grad, Terri Hemmert. It was an excellent event with Rodgers telling many wonderful stories about his life and career.

He talked about co-producing David Bowie's album Let's Dance and the hit song of the same name. When he agreed to produce Bowie, he initially thought he would be making a typical Bowie album. He was surprised when Bowie told him that he wanted to make hits. At one point, Bowie came to Rodgers with a rather simplistic chord progression and indicated that they could turn it into a hit. Rodgers didn't see it that way but he played around with it and changed the structure until it became the backbone of the song Let's Dance. It was one of Bowie's biggest hit songs and help propel the album into his all-time best seller.

So in honor of that cool story about a great song and album, I am kicking off the weekend with Let's Dance.

Anniversary Tournament

Last year for Doctor Who's anniversary I ran a tournament between Doctor Who stories, and I wanted to so something different again this year. A tournament between real people important to the history of Doctor Who, actors, writers, producers, directors, composers, production designers. Technically it'll be a tournament for the most infuential person to Doctor Who and its development over the years, but really I want it to be a celebration of all of these people, and not just the winner.

To that end, the nomination form, you can also submit nominations normally, ie sending me an ask or replying to this post, however I won't be accepting propaganda through those methods.
