Emmet and Digimon!Reader: Broken People

I thought you folks would love a nice change of pace from the sudden splurge of Sun Wukong related content. The onslaught mainly stems from Season 3 finally being accessible in English Dub and that Sun Wukong Appreciation came out of nowhere for me. I was able to prepare for Mermay but not this. 😑

Like the title says, this will be focusing on our Subway Bosses specifically Emmet at the moment. We all know this man will throw with gods especially when it involves his twin brother Ingo. So... let's go him a little extra help. As for what Digimon you'll be...hehehe. Can be read gender neutral or preferred gender.

You've all sorts of individuals the moment you were born into this Digital World. Humans, Digimon and various fauna from every realm. Whether good or bad, your blade judged many to see if they were allowed to live.

It was your job to protect the balance of the Digital World that served as your home. To slay the threats which threaten the peace, blade and cannon in hand. Keyword being 'was'.

One day your free will had been stripped from you to bring out your 'true potential'. It was soon given back but it left every part of you broken. To heal in a void and never be the same again.

A tragedy well known for Digimon of the Omnimon Line, a member of their kin who fell so viciously it lead them to becoming a broken monster. Omnimon Zwart Defeat, the fate that you met long long ago.

So imagine your surprise to find unfamiliar faces inside your little 'domain.' A human with a comedy mask smile alongside two creatures that clearly weren't Digimon: a violet chandelier and a limbed eel.

Clearly none of them came by their own volition but something about their presence felt wrong. You might as well investigate cause no one can enter this pocket dimension without permission.

"I am Emmet! AND I DON'T THINK THAT'S A POKEMON!" Check off from a different dimension and not Digimon off the list. Considering your species look like reapers, the human being terrified was normal.

The two 'Pokemon' were already on edge but you made your neutral stance known. 'Won't attack unless in self defense' basically. Once the signs of no hostility was clear, answers were able to be acquired.

The human, Emmet runs a subway station with his twin brother. Both offering special battles on their locomotive alongside their respective Pokemon: Elecktross and Chandelure.

That is until Ingo strangely disappeared one day. Twins are like Terriermon and Lopmon. Neither leave the other unattended without any kind of notice and to do so is suspicious. For a long while after you became what you are, you were very sensitive to certain things. Mainly distortions involving time and space.

Something that prickled like cactus spines once one occurs. A very constant feeling for the past year. Emmet and his acquaintances confirmed your suspicions. The delicate balance between reality is being meddled with.

A matter that once wouldn't have concerned you after falling. Not even self preservation would spark a light. No one needs assistance from a broken weapon, this void being nothing but a bolted sheathe.

But this human named Emmet... He had something in common with a shattered Digimon like you. The two of you were broken in some way. While you were irreparable, Emmet wasn't. Not yet at least.

His brother no doubt still alive. A family looking desperately for him. Didn't know whether it was sympathy or pity that drove this action is unknown.

What you did know is that Emmet will be the first person you will help after so long. The Digital World didn't need nor want you thus being absent is no concern. Guess the time came for this fallen Royal Knight to depart.

Next stop? The unknown source of this madness. And for once not alone as three new companions join you. Although they might have to restrain you once the culprit is found. There is no remorse when it comes to deleting the guilty.

And that's it! I originally planned on using Plutomon for this but I thought Omnimon Zwart Defeat fitted better. For those of you not familiar with Digimon, Omnimon is a Digimon that's an actual fusion between two different Digimon: MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon.

This variation of Omnimon is one who has been corrupted and damaged so badly that they became a threat to all around them. A being broken beyond comprehension and unable to return to their former glory.

Emmet and Ingo are very close to each other. I can imagine neither of them taking it well if one of them goes missing. Something that a lot of people like to portray when it comes to Emmet's side. Mainly him not taking it healthily and doing whatever he can to fix it.

This fitting well enough that Digimon Reader sympathetically decided to help him. It's a platonic found family type of headcanon. Any romantic ones involving Digimon are gonna have rules set on a different page, not here.

It’s autism month and my birthday, so to celebrate here’s a post dedicated to my special interests and hyperfixations

-bugs (they are so small and little! I love)

-pokemon (I seriously love this series so much, my biggest and first ever special interest, I especially love the games as the instructions are clear and easy to understand and the plushes because they’re cute and the material feels really nice)

-outsiders (this book, I love it, too bad the author is trash)

-dc and marvel (I absolutely love superhero comics and movies, especially when they have to hide their secret identity, because it reminds me of me masking my autism and coping mechanisms

-daemonism (its just so interesting, I wish the community was bigger though) -wtnv (fandom is dead, but I just love everything about it)

-otherkin and therianism (I used to think that this was cringy because of youtubers, but I looked further into it and everybody in the community is so sweet and amazing, they helped me realize what I was kin with and were so accepting no matter what)

-fnaf (don’t like the games because I’m jumpscare sensitive but the characters and fan content is amazing, and I’ve made a ton of friends through the fandom)

-batim (again, not a game fan, but because of this fandom I found one of my favorite artist and it brought me and my best friend way closer)

-dsaf (another fandom that helped me find a great artist, the game is hilarious and I can actually play it due to it being less scary than fnaf, the characters are some of my favorites, and the au content is so creative)

-ferrets (favorite animal, I want a little slinky so bad, I have so many ferret facts written down)

-the phobia project (the people making this are so talented, it’s so cool how they mixed the game’s story with purple’s and Leon is an absolute sweetheart, I love the characters)

-sander sides (thomas sanders content has helped me through so much and when I found his new series of course I had to binge it also I really identify with Logan and heavily headcanon him as autistic)

-minecraft (first youtube video I ever watched was minecraft, it’s so calming and nice, like you can sit down and just build, and the players of this game are super talented at building, I love it)

-slenderverse (just, all of it. I love watching everything go from just a project I’m doing to oh shit this thing is following me, the characters are always so amazing and I can identify myself so well with all of the, it makes you genuinely feel bad for them, the characters just feel so real)

-blacklight story (it’s just a story that me and my friend are making together, I’ve had so much fun working on it with her, I could infodump so much about this)

-sonic (silver, autistic silver, silver stimming)

-horror movies (they’re so fun to draw and follow along with! Especially the cheesy slasher films)

-digimon (not a very big fandom, the first 2 seasons were really good, but the third season was so amazing, and the movie was the best!!!, also terriermon, just terriermon)

-yokia watch (I remember shipping Eddie and Nate so hard, the jibanyan clones are unoriginal but I love all of them, the nokos are my favorite, I’ve always wanted a panda noko so bad, also the multiplayer aspects were so fun!!)

-studio ghibli (their animation is so nice and beautiful!! I love all their movies so much! Especially Ponyo and Howl’s moving castle)

-plants (theyre like therapy for me, alot of times I don’t feel like getting up, but make myself so I can make sure they’re healthy, also it makes me super happy to see them growing healthily because it reminds me that not everything has to be bad)

-animal crossing (don’t have the game, but the characters, I love)

i dont! ive always loved gatomon & terriermon though.. i think a looong time ago when my kin trend was edgy boys, i briefly kinned lucemon (not big boy version, when he’s a lil angel like pit), but…. that’s in the past & we dont speak about those days anymore.

What would you do if you were given the reigns for a Tamers sequel?

I’m going to preface this with a confession: I’m not actually very good at long-form storytelling. And I’m kind of riffing a lot of this off the top of my head.

I’d set it a number of years after the resolution of the first series, Tri-style. And I would follow the Drama CD Canon.  

First Arc: Hypnos, with financial support from a multinational research organization, makes use of the technology used to create the Ark/Grani to finally develop a stable, reliable means of transport between the two worlds. The various reunions are bittersweet; Takato and Guilmon have gotten used to not being around each other and find themselves a little out of sync and getting in each other’s way and on each other’s nerves. Jianliang finds he doesn’t have the patience he used to for Terriermon’s comic antics, which only makes Terriermon more committed to those antics. Ruki is suddenly overcome by feelings of guilt and abandonment that she had previously been bottling up, and even though she wanted this reunion more than anyone, she’s suddenly unable to open herself to Renamon anymore. To make matters worse, rogue Digimon appear to be taking advantage of the weakened barrier between the worlds, and their fights with the Tamers only serve to further highlight these relationship issues. There are hints that these rogue Digimon may be more organized than initially believed, and the organization sponsoring Hypnos suggests that the Tamers lead an expedition back into the Digital world to find what’s going on.

Second Arc: In the Digital world, the Tamers are shocked to find that following the reconstruction after the catastrophic devastation of the D-Reaper, the Digimon have formed nation-states remarkably similar to the ones on Earth. One of the nations has its own military, which they discover to be responsible for the “rogue” Digimon: as it happens, they were scouts, evaluating Earth’s ability to repel an invasion. And guess what: their recon indicates strong odds of victory. Fortunately, not everyone in this nation is a big fan of the idea of war, and the Tamers join forces with an underground rebellion to attempt to sabotage the war effort before it gets into full-swing. Ultimately, however, it proves to be too little too late, and the invasion begins…

Third Arc: Shit hits the fan in a big way. The Tamers (who have mostly resolved their internal conflicts and are now aided by more fully evolved forms of Lopmon, Gardromon, and Marineangemon) fight desperately to contain the first wave while Humanity scrambles to rally its own forces. Hypnos is a total shitshow and it soon becomes clear that the multinational research organization is only offering token support lacking any substance. Janyu, Yamaki, and Jianliang quickly put it together that they’ve orchestrated the whole thing in a bid to use the Digimon as a private army, to the end of securing natural resources both in the real world and in the Digital world to ensure its technological prosperity for ages to come. Stuff happens, the invasion is stopped, the good guys win, and the Tamers live on as a kind of Avengers-like fighting force to keep the peace between the worlds.

Individual character arcs would concern the evolving nature of personal relationships examined through the lens of each Tamer and their respective Digimon, allegiances between kin and kind examined through the lens of the brewing Human vs. Digimon conflict, and the relationships you choose vs. the relationships you are born into.

Ruki and Renamon probably smooch at some point. Fight me. It’s awkward and it’s shocking and nobody knows what to make of it, least of all Ruki and Renamon. Again, fight me.

So that’s one idea, if some one were foolish enough to put me in charge of a whole series. For the time being, I’ll stick with fanfic and my own original short stories. :p
