He can’t stop him in time, unfortunately. Even before being able to take a step forewards, the blade is already moved out, letting the blood pour copiously on the floor. Their inability to die should’ve made him way less worried when it comes to this kind of wounds, and by then he should’ve gotten used to sir Lautrec’s self destructive behaviors, and yet he can’t help but gasp terrified - finally quick to literally jump into actions, addempting to stop the flow of the blood with nothing but his hands, one holding gently to the other’s arm, while the other tried to cover the wound with little to no results.

From the very first moment that man entered the Cathedral, Laurence knew he was nothing but trouble. A stranger - an misbeliever, no less! - in that late hour of the night, who dared to disturb him in one of his most private hour. So deep in his praying after the umpteenth nightmare, the Vicar barely heard the knight coming closer at first, and yet instantly felt the annoyed glare he gave him.

Strangers are all the same. Most of them don’t even understand how Yharnam works, and even less addempt to act as more than a street rat and pay respect to its inhabitants. From the very second he noticed the disdain in the other’s eyes - and even worse, the weapons he held with such pride in a sacred place such as Cathedral Ward - Laurence already set his mind. That man didn’t deserve any respect for his tainted blood alone, the arrogance he proved to have was just yet another excuse to tell him to leave at once, using gentle yet serious words, in such a constrast with the occasional growls he could hear coming from the knight.

With polite rudeness, as Gehrman kept calling it; standing straight in his position, head tilted slightly towards the ceiling as he seemingly glared back at the other, the grip of the hand moved casually towards his own weapon - the Threaded Cane he brought around during the night, in case some imbecile came up with some stupid Vaticidial plan - growing just a little stronger each time the other puked out some more nonsensical words. Tense, and yet keeping his plain expression, up until Lautrec decides to finally follow the orders recieved and leave, where he finally lets out a tiny comment under his breathe, sure that wasn’t going to be heard.

                 Needless to say, luck wasn’t in his favor, that night.

The Vicar took a deep breathe, as the grip grow tighter. His icy, bloodshot eyes tiredly moved towards the shotel, before moving them back at the other’s. Smirking.

“I called you what you are.” he replies, his voice remaining calm despite the sudden peak of  tension.

“An heretic beast. And the fact that you dare to point your weapon to the prophet of the Old Gods can’t but confirm it. I won’t repeat myself, stranger. Leave this place at once, or I’ll make sure you’ll learn to keep your mouth shut.”

The thief simply states, keeping yet still a distance between them given that the other was clearly armed. She knows when a wound is bad, and his was worse than just bad. A few stitches, and some bandages should do though. And she could provide such a treatment... but he didn’t seemed to be very comfortable to let her get to close to him. Well, she doesn’t really want to do it for free anyway...

Lilli speaks again in an... almost uncaring voice. His question though made her silent for a rather long moment, and she had to think of an answer. Once she had cared about no one but herself. That though had changed over the time... Or at least she is still trying to break the habbit to just care about herself. But right now the reason why she cared a little, was because this man was the only ‘normal’ person she had seen for some time around. Probably...

“A good question... Perhaps because you are the first person I meet since days who does not try to kill me on the spot?”

programs for this weekend are to take time for myself, possibly, and forget a little while about problems to focus on blogs’ work. i’m remaking mccngzr, and possibly i’d like to make all of pandcratales to start it as well. i’ll then go back to fix itchiing, unawakc and terriblepity’s documents, but those will arrive calmly in the future, since their current blogs have all the informations nice and clean so i don’t really need to do them at the moment. saviingrace will arrive as well, but a bit later. i need to get in the right mindset for him - plus, full works on two blogs might already be enough for a weekend.

NAME: Laurence.

ETHNICITY: Yharnamite. He’s proud about it..

REGION: Yharnam.

RESIDENCE: Laurence lives in the church. He has a room for himself there, but he spends a large amount of time in his office. It is fitted with a couch, so he can lay down there and sleep if he wants.

AVERAGE HOURS OF SLEEP: Laurence is pretty insomniac. Often he stays awake for days at end and then crashes into bed to sleep for 12 hours. When he has a healthly sleep schedule, which is rarely, he often wakes early, so an average of 4 to 5 hours per night, but mostly it is 0.

TYPE OF BED: A completely standard one for victorian times. Nothing fancy or anything. Just something that is comfy.

AMOUNT OF BLANKETS: Depends on the season. In summer one. In winter multiple.

AMOUNT OF PILLOWS: One.

TYPE OF CLOTHING: Laurence usually wears a pair of pajamas. A warm one for winter and lighter one for summer.

DO THEY SLEEP WITH COMPANY? He sleeps with his cats normally, so pretty much every night Laurence spends in company. He also likes sleeping cuddled up to Ludwig, so yes, he has company..

DO THEY SLEEP WITH PUSHIES? He has cats, he doesn’t need plushies when multiple warm fluffy animals are purring on his chest.

DO THEY SLEEP BETTER WITH COMPANY? Depends. With Ludwig he normally sleeps very secure, the cats can keep him awake at night.

DOES IT MATTER WHERE THEY SLEEP? Not really. He has multiple sleeping places at the church, like his bed, Ludwig’s bed, the couch in his office, his desk. He may even be found napping in the common room.

FREQUENT DREAMS, NIGHTMARES? It got really really bad after his Frenzy, he normally would dream about it everytime he slept when he wasn’t on sedatives. This leads to him waking up in tears and on the verge of a panic attack. Ludwig normally never let him sleep alone, so that he could calm him down right away.

WHAT DO THEY DO IF THEY CANNOT FALL ASLEEP? Working. The main reason he doesn’t sleep is that he is busy with work anyways. So yeah, should he try to go into bed and doesn’t fall asleep, he gets back up and works..

DEEP SLUMBER OR NAPS? Both. Laurence can do powernaps pretty good, but he is dead asleep when he finally sleeps after having been 36 hours awake or so.

WHEN DO THEY WAKE UP? Whenever he isn’t exhausted anymore. Or he has to use the bathroom, though it has been reported that he is able to go to it while being half asleep.

WHEN DO THEY SLEEP? Once he passes out at his desk or gets a serious scolding from Florence or Ludwig..

WHAT COULD WAKE THEM UP? When he’s really deep asleep? Almost nothing. Whispering about vileblood sightings in his ear might help..
