TERRA FORMARS 57(231) BRIEF SUMMARY

I remind everybody to not take this seriously because probably there are a lot of mistakes as I hadn’t studied Japanese in more than a year, so I’ve forgotten almost everything.

Spoilery~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿

As it has been told before, Samurai sword has a twin sister. As we can see even if they were identical, when it comes to personality they were polar opposites. However they couldn’t live the one without the other and they got along greatly. One of them (if I’m not mistaken, the one who currently is Samurai sword) was a lot more modest and her sister was a lot more eccentric.

They were always together, planned trips together, even if they had different jobs and aspiration didn’t want to get separated…that was until the assault happened. The one that was caught was the more eccentric of the two (Samurai sword’s sister, but I’m not sur). There was some kind of human trafficking thing going on and the ones in it had an interest in twins (probably something to do with mosaic organ research).

I’m not sure if the both of them or only one were sold to Hannibal Newton, who treated them like slaves. At the beginning Hannibal doesn’t seem to remember who she is but when she starts talking about the past and he remembers her he goes mental.

Also she cuts one of Hannibal’s fingers and I think that has something to do with her sister and she wants to cut off all of his fingers from both hands and feet.

Sem contar que também não colocamos todos os filmes das sequências pra deixar a lista mais enxuta! Isso não quer dizer que a sequência da maioria dos filmes não seja boa (com exceção das porcarias recentes do Exterminador do Futuro), apenas quero que essa lista seja direta ao ponto!

11) True Lies (1994)

Bicho, esse filme é só coisa absurda acontecendo. E são coisas absurdas que não deixam você olhar pro lado um segundo, porque é bom demais. O enredo é bem original, os efeitos visuais são do caramba, e os tiroteios e brigas são incríveis. Se ainda não assistiu, assista esse clássico épico!

(é claro que certas coisas envelheceram, mas continua clássico demais!)

Esse é um dos filmes perfeitos pra você "desligar o cérebro" e ver uns tiros e socos acontecendo enquanto uma trama divertida acontece por trás.

E de quebra ainda tem a gostosa da Jamie Lee Curtis numa cena bem quente só de lingerie!

10) Jogo Bruto (1986)

Olha, sinceramente, esse filme é ruim. Mas é do tipo "de tão ruim que é bom". Ou do tipo "quanto pior melhor". Aqui Schwarzenegger é contratado para vingar a morte de alguém (o clichê bom demais!). Esse é o caso clássico do policial que usa todo tipo de método legal e ilegal pra buscar essa vingança.

E esse não foi o único filme do Arnoldão de em 1986. Por esse motivo que Jogo Bruto foi ofuscado por um outro clássico dos filmes de ação que vai aparecer mais embaixo da lista.

9) O Sexto Dia (2000)

O Schwarzenegger mandou muito bem na ficção científica em muitas ocasiões. Ele fez diversos filmes PESADÕES com roteiros incríveis, e O Sexto Dia é um deles.

Nesse filme você se pergunta: qual versão do Schwarzenegger é o original do filme e quem é o clone? (e sim, parece muito com o Vingador do Futuro!)

Além disso, quem merece estar junto com a família dele? Será que o clone mataria o suposto impostor sem se perceber que talvez ele não seja o impostor?

Todas essas perguntas doidonas acontecem durante a história e são pouco desenvolvidas, afinal, ninguém vai ver um filme do Arnold esperando filosofia barata. A gente quer ver tiro e explosão, e é isso o que ele entrega!

8) O Sobrevivente (1987)

Esse filme foi inspirado no livro do Stephen King, que o publicou originalmente usando o pseudônimo Richard Bachman (mas o livro é uma porcaria, nem perca seu tempo).  O Sobrevivente mostra Schwarzenegger como um policial condenado injustamente e que vai atrás de vingança, é claro.

O legal é que nesse filme existe um negócio meio "Black Mirror" onde vários condenados são jogados num campo pra serem caçados até a morte, e quem conseguir sair vivo dali vai receber o perdão e voltar a ser um cidadão normal.

É claro que com uma história dessa só acontece loucura. Bombas, tiros, lança-chamas, uns inimigos que parecem chefões de jogos.... E o Schwarzenegger metendo a porrada nos vilões (e claro, como nessa época era boa, a mocinha é uma gata). Recomendo muito pra uma tarde de domingo preguiçosa.

7) Fim dos Dias (1999)

O que seria mais legal do que ver o Schwarzenegger enfrentando um exército sozinho, correndo atirando com uma metralhadora e sem tomar um único tiro? Ver o Schwarzenegger enfrentar o próprio capeta!

Pra te falar a verdade eu nem lembro da história à fundo, só lembro que nesse filme o diabo de verdade aparece com a missão de destruir o mundo e levar todas as almas pro inferno... mas o Arnoldão mete o tiro em todo mundo e resolve essa treta pra gente.

Nem preciso falar o quanto esse filme é bom pra caramba, né?

6) Comando para Matar (1986)

O filme clássico que o Schwarzenegger explodiu mais bombas sozinho em 1h30 de filme do que o exército americano inteiro explodiu em 10 anos de guerra no Afeganistão.

E ele faz isso para salvar a própria filha, explodindo metade do mundo, saindo na porrada com o vilão (no soco mesmo) e quebrando tudo com a força de um super-humano. Munição infinita + muitos figurantes como alvos = sucesso.

5) Os Mercenários 2 (2012)

Esse não é um filme que o Arnold Schwarzenegger faz sozinho, é do Stallone que acabou juntando mais um monte de outros atores muito bons de ação dos anos 1980 e fez vários filmaços bem doidos de ação.

O mais interessante é que praticamente todos os bombadões dos anos 1980 se juntam para enfrentar aquele que acabou sendo o maior astro da ação na década seguinte: Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Ou seja, de um lado da briga tem o Sylvester Stallone, o Dolph Lundgren (eterno russão maluco do Rocky), Bruce Willis careca, Chuck Norris imortal e Arnold Schwarzenegger e do outro temos o maluco do Van Damme. Não tem como perder.

4) Conan, o Bárbaro (1982)

Que criança assistiu esse filme e não sentiu vontade de virar um bombadão que sai por aí pilhando vilas e dominando tudo?

Esse filme do Arnold Schwarzenegger está entre os melhores filmes de fantasia medieval de toda a história da humanidade. Em Conan, o Bárbaro, ele precisa lutar pela própria sobrevivência em um mundo hostil pra caramba, extremamente sangrento e e ainda tem umas mágicas acontecendo por ali.

Tem um maluco que se transforma em cobra, tem uma trilha sonora épica que faz os primeiros minutos de treta serem ainda melhores, tem o próprio Arnoldão... Conan, o Bárbaro é inesquecível quando você entra na história e se sente ali dentro.

3) O Predador (1987)

Esse é um dos filmes de ação mais incríveis da história do cinema. Além disso, O Predador está entre as criaturas mais incríveis já criada. Até tentaram fazer umas continuações desse filme, mas todas ficaram uma belíssima de uma porcaria. Não apenas porque não tinham o Schwarzenegger no papel, mas porque não conseguiram fazer uma história tão boa.

Sabe aquela frase famosa do "get to the choppa!"? É desse filme!

Além disso tudo, o Predador é um filme que é muito inteligente também.. porque na história não adianta nada o cara ser bombadão, porque o Predador é 10x mais forte que eles. Então pra vencer esse bicho de outro mundo tem que usar a inteligência e a sagacidade.

Recomendadíssimo!

2) O Vingador do Futuro (1990)

Cara, se você quer ver olhos saltando pra fora do globo ocular, mulher de três tetas, traições, corrupção, história maluca, explosões, tiros em outro planeta... esse filme é pra você!

O Vingador do Futuro é um filme que ficou gravado na mente de todo mundo que assistiu ele quando criança por causa das coisas chocantes que aconteciam.

Além disso o filme previu invenções que tão acontecendo hoje em dia, como os carros autônomos, a tentativa de terraformar Marte (ou seja, transformar Marte em um lugar habitável), entre outras coisas doidonas que não vou falar pra não dar spoiler.

1) O Exterminador do Futuro 2 (1991)

Se você ainda não viu Exterminador do Futuro 2 você TEM que assistir ele antes de qualquer coisa. Esqueça filmes do Oscar, Lista de Schindler, A Vida É Bela, Cinema Paradiso e todas essas bobagens! Filme bão mesmo é Exterminador e nada dessas coisas dramáticas e frescas.

O Exterminador é simplesmente incrível e eu acho que não é nenhuma surpresa que ele esteja em 1º da lista, porque se você já assistiu ele você sabe muito bem que o filme é bom demais. Demais mesmo.

Vai lá assistir e não perca mais seu tempo lendo nada na internet, meu parça. Corre lá.

It’s been a while since I updated some summaries but be honest Ive been both busy and tired, more tired than busy, and didn’t feel like it. As next week I work less hours I’ll try to make a general summary of the last chapters.

Bad news , guys

Seeing there was no chapter past week I got the feeling this was coming, and today, they confirmed it. Terra Formars is getting a new hiatus (Source). From past week (Young Jump issue 40) till November we’re not going to have Terra Formars weekly. The series (if nothing changes) will be back in Young Jump issue 50, that's going to be released November the 15th. 

Either way, volume 22 of the manga is going to be published the 19th of November, as well as the DVD with the next part of the Earth arc OVAs. 

Not having chapters to publish I’m note sure if I’m gonna keep this blog updated or not. However if there’s anything any of you would like to see here just lest me know. Once I have some free time I’ll make the Terra formars re-read posts of volumes 18, 19 and 20. I wanted to wait with the Earth arc till I have volume 20 and the publisher here just released past week (instead of JUNE that was the date they told months ago).

You know, I had this bad feeling when Akari wasn’t with the rest of First Custody members a couple of chapters ago, but this is way worse than I pictured.

TERRA FORMARS 49 (223) BRIEF SUMMARY

This is so short it could fit a couple of tweets. There’s not a lot of text and, to be honest, I didn’t feel like transcribing an carefully translating everything. However, once this volume comes out in Spain I’ll try to make very detalied summaries if I have the time by then, ok?

So what could be the most painful thing for me to happen in this series? Seeing Shokichi fighting either Akari or Michelle. What did the authors decided to do? TADAAAAA~~~~~~~~~~

AKARI VS SHOKICHI

(Sasuga, I hate you)

Not a lot is said, but we can see that Akari arrived there even before Ichiro met Shokichi, so he has been waiting outside the whole time. When he sees Hiruma’s watch he realizes that the moment he arrived he was registered and had to leave his watch behind. He got it long ago with Yuriko so it’s very important for him and wants to have it back.

I think he makes a reflection about how he’s not able to completely grasp all that’s happening with Michelle and Ichiro but he wants to do something anyway. 

Even thought he met Shokichi being already an adult, maybe because not having parents or because how Shokichi is, he considered him as a mentor or a father figure. He also considers himself his disciple so he wants to have with him a clean fight, without transformations or weapons (as they did in the past, training with Michelle), and that’s why he rips Shokichi’s arm off as it’s not his own.

Akari wants to save Shokichi, bring him back alive and start new memories with him. He doesn’t want to lose another “father”

TERRA FORMARS  53 (227) BRIEF SUMMARY

Nothing great, just a general idea and some thoughts.

I haven’t translated the flashback, it has tons of kanji I don’t know and look for all them would take a lot of time.

So this is is, the chapter with the 10 remaining seconds of the fight between Shokichi and Akari. I can’t wait to read this with a good translation and in paper, I always enjoy more physical volumes than the digital version. I really likes this fight even thoug it’s been hard for me as a fan because how much I love these two characters.

As expected, Kai is in another room, hifing but following what’s happening. The room in wich Shokichi and Akari are hace some deviced he use to control Shokichi. 

Those 10 seconds are vital for both pof them as Akari is about to lose the power of Chimera Blood operation adn Shokichi is overdosed not being his body able to  endure it. The way time is managed in this chapter is brilliant in my opinion. It helps to really undestand and see what’s really happening in the fight 

Shokichi tries to foresee Akari’s movements but he’s not able to do so anymore. He was going to use a technique to immobilize his limbs, but Akari’s able to move his head backwards (it’s a mantis ability) and evades it. Note that we’cve already seen him moving his head like that back when he first transformed into Mantis after believing Michelle was dead. 

Then Akari is able to surpass Shokichi and in the last second, breaks the collar he’s wearing thats uppodesly helps Kai to control him(note that the fungus affects directly his  spine and brain so that won’t stop Kai from controlling Shokichi) .

TERRA FORMARS 50 (224) BRIEF SUMMARY

There is some confusing stuff I’m not sure at all about so don’t take this any of this for sure. Also I’ve been sick for the last couple of days and I’m feverish so I can’t focus that well. 

Also, and I’m aware it seems like I’m always making excuses, from this Monday to Saturday the 28th I’m only gonna have one day off from work. That means 12 days of work and only one to rest. So you know what that means, right? I can’t promise summaries for the next couple of weeks, sorry.

Samurai Sword wants to reach Hannibal by all means, going those “all means” from her customized weapon to a freaking elevator. She’s able to surpass all the guards.

Akari VS Shokichi

Akasi is talking about how Shokichi gave him the will to live when he had lost everything after learnign about Yuriko’s death. Shokichi gave him a mission and a reason to be alive and keep fighting, but at the same time that mission made Akari lose again people he loved, like Shokichi himself. Even though Shokichi is being controlled and out of himself, he’s starting to “wake up” enought to see Yuriko reflected in Akari. Friendly reminder that Yuriko’s was one of Akari’s mothers. However, he still isn’t able to really speak by himself or control what he’s doing. Moreover, he’s overdosed, and we already know the kind of effects the drung they use to transform has when someone has too much of it. 

Back with Samurai Sword. she was kidnapped by a man 5 years ago, presumably, she was abused as well. Anyway, she killed her kidnapper 3 years ago. If I’m not mistaken a twin sister of hers is mentioned, but I could not understand more, and she has a number marked on her skin: 3256

Hannibal’s name is Hannibal G Newton so, as many of us suspected, he’s Joseph’s big brother (remember that in his backstory he talks about older and younger siblings of his)

TERRAFO REREAD: VOLUME 17

Yeah, she was biting it. I had to save the poor volume from her seconds after taking this picture.

It may be weird but being this one the last volume of the Mars arc i expected to have more pictures to share. I guess that I immersed myself so much while reading it I kinda forgot to note what pages I wanted to take pictures of. 

Beware of spoilers from this volume onwards..

Sooo here we have Liu’s backstory! As I’ve already mentioned before, Liu is a character that grew on me as he developed. I still do not agree with the way he did things because innocent people died or were put in great danger due to the way he acted and the consequences of his betrayal. But I do understand him even if I don’t agree with his decisions.

  On the other hand, here we have Ming Ming. You know, she’s a character I didn’t really care about as she dies during BUGS2 mission and we knew nothing about here. But when I saw her in Liu’s backstory she picked my interest. I have the feeling she could have been a very interesting character if they had just let her shine a little bit. I would really like to see a spin-off or special chapter or anything that show us how she went from that place up there to work as a spy to get caught and being forced to cooperate in BUGS2 mission.

And here we have little Liu. He’s so happy to meet Min-Ming, and so eager to learn from her. I love his design here. He looks skinny, just looks at his arms, and that’s exactly how she should look given his situation. Also I loved the tooth missing, it gives him a more childish appearance. And the difference between this kid and the future Liu, that barely smiles, it’s a great way to show how all he had to endure changed him.

I’m gonna to be honest here. I’m just sharing this picture because Akari looks super hot.

I’m still not over this moment. Even not being one of my faves because of what I just talked about in this same post, his death is one of the most memorable and sad from the whole manga. He’s literally giving his life for Shokichi to redeem himself. And that his death wish is for Shokichi and Akari to live and by that make the World a better place, really talks him about him as a character. I’m repeating myself but, he’s not a bad, he’s just made bad decisions at some point, but his intentions were always; to keep Akari safe from China and at the same time trying to improve his own country. He was a traitor for both U-NASA and China, and that must had been really hard for him.

Are you tired of tear wrecking stories? I hope not because here we have SYLVESTER’S FAMILY!!! *applauses*. Both of them had lost a husband, and Gina’s also lost her father. I can’t imagine how sad and devasted they should feel. I would really like to know more about them and their current situation in the new arc. Also, as Sylvester asked Ivan to take care of them now that he’s back it would be a great opportunity to show if he has done so.

I really, really like this moment. I got too emotional when I saw Akari, Michelle and Marcos jumping in front of Ivan to protect him. And I love how he started crying the next page because he couldn’t believe what they were doing for him. This shows how in Mars the war between countries ended long ago, and they fight for their friends and loved ones. I think that Ivan, that’s not used at all to be loved if we look back into his past, who has lost his family and friends in Mars probably feels really lonely. That those three, from countries he kinda betrayed at the beginning, protected him without any doubt should mean a lot to him.

This speaks for itself how much Liu meant to all of them. I mean, even Dorjiberke is crying. And I must say this is something i love from this series, EVERYONE CRYES. We need more series showing different kind of characters crying and showing emotions. Because, you know? Some people cry more, some people cry less, but everyone cries. And there’s that stupid idea out there that if you cry that means you’re weak. HELL NO! I really think that there were more kind of different characters crying on media, people would be less afraid to cry themselves. 

I still see people wondering about what Adolt told Eva before dying. He told her to stay away con squads 4 and 6, and she just remembered this moment. Bad thing is that she couldn’t escape from him anyway and ended up being used. Of all the things Joseph has done, this is one of the most disgusting for me.

I honestly don’t know if this moment was more relieving for them or for me. They’re finally able to rest, to eat, to get clean, to feel safe, to spend time with their friends and loved ones. For me it would have been great to have a couple of chapter with them just relaxing, to see them happy, and bonding. Welp, I guess that’s  what fanfiction is for, right?

Hello! It’s been a while ^^

Honestly, I don’t have time to do better translations not even for myself because that means having to transcribe all the text, look for kanji and that takes a lot of time I don’t have. For what I’ve read having a fast look at the text there’s not a sold explanation yet, but Honda was involved. They way the gus is positioned leds me to think that he has some kind of surgery, because isdone in a way that if he triggers it, it directly goes to his bloodstream. We’ll know more in future chapters I guess.
