This is just shy of 70.5 hours of stitching. I didn’t include the frame (roses & fans) because I wanted the detail on the horse. This is most of the saddle completed (gold and blue, center) with the carousel pole and part of the mane on the right. Behind the saddle is a floofy ruffle (ivory) yet more roses & leaves, and a reasonable amount of tail. I’ve just started the horse itself - the dark gray is the rear leg and the bottom of the horse’s barrel.

I couldn’t possibly do this work without gridding the fabric, or without magnifying lenses. I try to stitch daily, usually for 25-45 minutes (it takes about 25 minutes to finish one length of floss). Sometimes I’ll stitch longer, but I have to be conscious of my wrists, fingers, and arms. Holding that teeny tiny needle for such fine-muscle work for that long can be bad news.

Day 23 of #CommonThreadedStitcher is most difficult stitch. I think difficulty is relative, and it could be where the fabric constantly shreads your thread.
