D --> Magearna is so good for solo tera raids in pokemon Scarlet D --> Her ability makes her STRONGER every time the useless NPC's pokemon faint D --> So she can just spam her Fleur Cannon with no drawback as the special attack drop is immediately negated as the 3 allies die

Lord Dullanathri the Season Keeper requests the pleasure of your presence at the turning of the season in the city of Baldur’s Gate for a party of great splendor in celebration of the arriving fall season and Autumn Equinox. Guests are expected to arrive Saturday, the 9th or fashionably late.
Formal partywear will be provided. Further details are enclosed.
>Check the envelope contents?
A Dungeons & Dragons / Baldur's Gate RPC Event ( crafted w/ assistance from @charmsperson and @heincus ! )
Essentials:
THE SETUP
Hi Hello Hallo Bonjour Ciao! This section will contain a rudimentary breakdown of this event in plainspeak for muns, as I understand the google doc might seem intimidating at first glance.
Essentially: this is a big excuse for dnd + bg3 muses to be dressed in fancy formalwear and interact! I saw a lot of people on dash saying they wish there was a DA: I Winter Palace equivalent event in BG3, and several people seemed interested in having a form of open-fandom event taking place that gave them a reason to do that. That is the main goal of this event---to let muses have fun in fancy clothes.
Lord Dullanathri the Season Keeper is an Archfey who has brought his Domain of Delight to Baldur's Gate for his annual festivities celebrating the ushering in of Fall, which it is his duty to oversee. All of Baldur's Gate, including the Outer City areas and Duskhawk Hill, are encompassed by his domain at this time and subject to its rules and aesthetics to some degree. Namely: fall leaves and colors, Feywild plants, lots of fall harvests ( plants such as corn, kale, pumpkin, turnips, beets, etc. ), music, large feasts, and a good dose of fey whimsy. Dullanathri's presence, for those who are aware of him, is considered to be a blessing as his domain's arrival will ensure the successful harvest of all crops and forgeables in the surrounding area, leaving plenty to preserve for the upcoming Winter. Baldur's Gate also loves a good party, and though there is typical Fey mischief afoot, Dullanathri is a neutral party and will not intentionally harm others personally. While the party is going on, all individuals inside the domain will be automatically dressed in formal gala attire; feel free to choose any outfit you would like that you feel is suitable for your character and share it with others! Draw it! Make an image collage of references! Dress your character up in appropriately fancy clothes from the game! Write a drabble about it, Cinderella style! Approach this however you like, before or during the event.
🍂FAQ🍁
What is an RPC / Dash Event ?: Consider this the dashboard equivalent of an in-game event, such as the Lantern Rite Festival in Genshin Impact or special 7⭐ Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet+Violet, where many people can come together to participate.
Who is Playing the NPCs?: You are! Or your writing partner is. Feel free to fill in the gaps of the personalities of other party attendants and citizens of Baldur's Gate in a way that is interesting to you and use the skill checks as a guide for your interactions (if you wish). This includes any battle segments, such as Flower Wars---you are free to play this as true-to-form of a real campaign battle as you want, or to plot out things with your partner in advance. Do what suits you.
Is this Mutuals Exclusive?: No! Anyone is free to take the event information / set-up and post opens or write while also respecting the rules of individuals
( ie. you do not have to be mutuals with me to participate in this event, but you must still respect the rules of other writers ( such as being mutuals-exclusive ) unless they state otherwise. )
Do Characters Have to do Side Quests?: No! The Side Quests are merely additional scenario prompts to help flesh out the party, and to give various types and personalities of characters a reason to attend and interact. Not every muse is an extrovert but some are heroic, or power motivated, or curious. These quests exist to give writers material to interact with the party in a way beyond just attending, and to write with others. If you aren't interested, you don't need to focus on them.
TLDR;
If you have questions, feel free to send me an ask, and I'll do my best to answer them!
I hope this can be an event people have fun with, so I've left a large timeframe open to give people more of a chance to participate, as I know people have busy lives and different timezones.
When?: Saturday, September 9th, 2023 - Sunday, September 24th, 2023
Where (in game)?: Baldur’s Gate ( all city districts ); Dusthawk Hill
Who?: Dungeons & Dragons / Baldur’s Gate muses + OCs. ( mutual status is not required to participate. Anyone interested or with an affiliated verse may use this content to interact, write threads, create art, etc. )
Tags?: #EquinoxEvent_2023
please use this tag to track opens, prompt lists, interact with others, and so that non-fandom blogs make blacklist it if necessary (for those who are multi-fandom)

I’ve said it before that I’d love it if there was a way to battle yourself from the opposite version (I have both Scarlet and Violet and put a decent amount of emphasis on Rose, my player character in Scarlet, and Lavender, my player character in Violet, being different characters but still alternate universe counterparts to the point where they have the exact same team structure - their starter (Quax the Quaquaval and Spriggie the Meowscarada), their version’s Fire Knight called Char (an Armarouge in Scarlet and a Ceruledge in Violet), their version’s “Paradox Leader” (Luna the Roaring Moon and Knight the Iron Valiant) and then their version’s Paradox Legendary trio in National Dex order (Blueberry the Walking Wake, Apple the Gouging Fire and Lemon the Raging Bolt and Cherry the Iron Leaves, Orange the Iron Boulder and Passionfruit the Iron Crown)) but now I’m thinking of other ideas for stuff it would have been cool for them to do in SV to allow you to hang out with yourself if you have both versions - specifically picnics and Tera Raid Battles
Picnics: literally the same as a normal picnic only you have both player characters and all of their Pokémon on their teams plus Koraidon and Miraidon there. You will probably need to connect a second (set of) joycon(s) in order to do it so that you can control both player characters. Camera probably follows the player from the current version being played (eg if I’m playing Scarlet when I set this up, the camera will follow Rose). Sandwiches probably work in a similar way to how they do in normal multiplayer idk. Koraidon and Miraidon can have a unique interaction with each other because that would be cool
Tera Raid Battles: half dealing with the issue where the Mewtwo raids are unable to be solo’d this is a nice way to fix things if you don’t have NSO assuming of course the Mewtwo raids ever rerun. I think I’m mainly doing this though because it would be a nice quick and easy way of getting the raid boss in both versions at the same time instead of having to swap versions. As an extra bonus, I could have a picnic with both versions at the same time afterwards to celebrate (good luck identifying which raid boss is which if I swap the raid boss into my team though). You control both of your player characters and the two of them are in the middle of the four characters taking on the raid, with the one from the version you’re currently playing being in the normal position (eg if I’m playing Violet when I do this, Lavender goes in the normal middle right position while Rose goes in the middle left position) and the camera stays in its normal position. The player in the normal position is the first of the two to get asked if they want to catch the raid boss (in this example, Lavender gets to choose first and regardless of her decision Rose chooses second. Their catching animations probably play at the same time and both are shown on screen). Obviously if one or both of them is ineligible to catch the raid boss (they’ve already caught it or have no box space) they’re ignored as normal and you’re warned before the battle that they won’t be able to catch it. Not sure if the NPCs should both be from the version you’re playing (Violet in this example) or one from each (if you’re taking up two slots there’s two left for the NPCs), with the one on the outer right being from the version you’re currently playing (Violet in this situation) and the one on the outer left being from the version you’re not currently playing (Scarlet in this situation) but I think it would be funny imagining a situation where Rose and Lavender meet up and Lavender is like “okay I brought some kid named Gianna with me, she has an Umbreon and wants to help us beat the raid boss. Hey, is that Logan, the guy with the Arboliva who always ruins my attempts to use a Future Paradox Pokémon by setting up the wrong terrain on repeat? Why’s he wearing your uniform???” apart from the fact that Rose wears the New Uniforms now so Lavender probably wouldn’t be able to recognise his school’s uniform that easily. Also this means if the best option for a defender for a certain raid is version-exclusive (like Miraidon for the Walking Wake raids) I don’t have to worry too much about struggling to battle because I can bring them alongside a probably more support-based option. Also that reminds me, it would be fun if I could use this to get a Walking Wake in Violet and an Iron Leaves in Scarlet
#at Game Freak please rerun the starter raids (at least up to Hisuian Samurott) once you’re done with the Pseudo Legendary raids#there are many from Cinderace to Hisuian Samurott I would really love to get in Scarlet if possible#and many from Cinderace to Chesnaught I would really love to get in Violet if possible#(well all of them technically. For both ranges. And I’m ignoring Pikachu because that already reran)#but just in general it would be fun if Game Freak added the ability to have both of your characters meet and do stuff together#and I think Tera Raid Battles are a great chance to do that#heck allow them to do group tasks in the Terarium together. I’d love some extra free version-exclusive Legendaries#(plus non-shiny Ray Kyurem and Necrozma. Ooh which Alola legendary do I fuse with Necrozma? The native one or the non-native one?)#but it’ll never happen so I’ll just dream about it. Well imagine situations because Rose and Lavender meeting and being rivals would be fun#Game Freak just doesn’t want a Meowscarada and a Quaquaval meeting without a dirge to balance out their raw power (joke)#or a Walking Wake and Iron Leaves meeting and annoying everyone by being too cuddly with each other (still a joke)#maybe it’s just damage control. I don’t see Luna and Knight getting on well#and no way they’re not bringing the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords into this (joke. I see Luna as anti-future and Knight as anti-past)#and then there’s the fact that five out of six of my Violet team have sword weapons or similar#(Knight and Orange have different blades but they’re different enough). I’m sure Spriggie’s hidden a knife in his flower bomb#point is I’m not sure if my Scarlet team can be trusted with swords#(Char has a cannon so she can probably be trusted. I trust her more with a sword than I trust her Violet counterpart with the same sword#Quax can definitely be trusted too. Luna sees four Future Paradox Pokémon using blades and decides blades are demonic or something)#Pokémon#pokémon scarlet and violet

A couple months ago now I was fortunate enough to buy a used switch lite from my friend, and even luckier to obtain a copy of Pokemon Scarlet at the local pawn shop at a very reduced price (plus a couple other things but that's not the point rn). So, we go right from the earliest generation of pokemon to the newest back to back, with possibly just as many bugs and glitches, to my gen 9 team!
Team stats and general gameplay info under the cut:
"Nila", Meowscarada, ♀, U-Turn - Play Rough - Flower Trick - Night Slash
"Quaord", Clodsire, ♂, Poison Jab - Earthquake - Liquidation - Megahorn
"Guache", Grafaiai, ♂, Slash - Knock Off - Poison Jab - U-Turn
"Stella", Luxray☆, ♀, Volt Switch - Spark - Crunch - Ice Fang
"Étoile", Pyroar☆, ♀, Flamethrower - Hyper Voice - Swift - Crunch
"Pharle", Farigiraf, ♂, Crunch - Shadow Ball - Twin Beam - Tera Blast
General Playthrough Notes:
Okay look I need to level with you all right off the bat, I don't like the vast majority of the pokemon introduced in gen 9. They feel like such first drafts to me. I normally go into these games with a team plan but this time I literally had two slots missing going in, I just could not think of what to put in there. And I already planned on using two poison-types and two normal-types! Normally I avoid doubling up on types as much as possible! After a bit I used the codes to get a bug-tera mew and a cetitan and was just thinking "I guess they'll be mainstays??"... then I immediately ran into a shiny shinx. Then a shiny litleo. They happened to slot right into the team and I've never been fortunate enough to use shinies in a playthrough (except my soulsilver randomized apocalocke but shhhhh we aren't there yet), so I put them on. But if they hadn't shown up and essentially saved my ass I would have been hard pressed to fill up a team of six (look I literally just used a mew I'm not in a hurry to use it again, at least it's been a couple years since I used luxray in a playthrough).
Anyways, despite all that, I had fun! I knew going in it wouldn't be too difficult and would have its lion's share of glitches, so I was just along for the ride. I like the friend group you form in this game! I like vibing with koraidon as an honorary team member! It's just a pleasant time.
Back to shinies for a moment, overworld shinies without any sound effects to indicate them is evil. I spent so much time staring at groups of pokemon trying to tell if one of them was off-palette. Thankfully, I never ran into any shinies other than the ones I caught.
The raids are neat, though since I don't have Nintendo Online and no frequent enough local players it isn't super interesting with just the npcs. Caught a few neat fellas though, including a steel-tera breloom and a fighting-tera azumarill.
Speaking of, when I first started playing those mewtwo raids were going on and I wanted to participate in them so bad. I barely missed my window, though from what I've heard I wouldn't have stood much of a chance anyway, haha.
I wish there was more post-game other than the raids. I've redone the tournament like half a dozen times now; I wish there was a battle frontier or something. To be fair, I haven't caught all those ruin legends yet; though the one I have caught I managed to get in the first ball, lol.
Do I have the dlc yet? No! I can't just throw around that kind of money willy-nilly. Maybe someday though.
Picnics are really cute though I wish I could pet my pokemon instead of just wash them. Also why can't I sit down on the chairs that are set up around the picnic table??? Still don't really get the sandwich hype, I might mess around with it a bit though, I want to give it a fair shot.
"Hey Nel, why haven't you talked about the Elite Four? You usually start these notes with them?" The E4 is very unremarkable, sorry. I won't bore you by being the billionth person to rag on how Geeta is objectively the worst champion. Also when I rematched all the gym leaders I didn't have to terastilize or heal my pokemon. They were a bit more impressive the first time around tbh. The gym puzzles were neat though!! Except for Tulip's. Fuck her.
Oh yeah, terastilizing is a thing. Mega evolution is still better.
I wanna hang out with my friiiieeeennnds more, both my irl friends and Nemona, Penny, and Arven. It would be so fun to do raids with them or something like that.
Cold take but the uniforms suck I wanna customize my outfit like Nemona, Penny, Arven and Team Star do
(Normally this is where I'd show a screenshot of me finishing the game, but I'm one of the few weirdos who can't use captchas and haven't found another way to transfer files from my switch to other devices. Have a picture of my cat instead; his name is Prince.)

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you know how that one teacher, Saguaro wants you to give him some Sweet Herba Mystica.
I've never really tried to do it since I could never really do those 5 star tera battles, which I've been told is the only way to get Herba Mystica after the main storyline. My Pokémon were never strong enough, and I play Pokémon alone, so I couldn't really get any actual people to help me with the raids, and the NPCs I get are never really helpful.
But since my Pokémon team is either level 100 or in the 90s, I've been giving those 5 star battles a go, and I even managed to defeat some. Even unlocked those higher dark crystal battles.
But I still haven't managed to get a hold of Sweet Herba Mystica. I've gotten, spicy, bitter, even sour, but not sweet. I've also gotten bottle caps or just nothing special from those battles, which I feel is a bit insulting.
This honestly happens when it comes to Pokémon games, when I want something, I can never really get it, and when I don't care or need it anymore, I finally get it. Sometimes I feel like the games are legitimately messing with me.

I really hate this Mewtwo tera raid event. How on earth are you supposed to beat it???!!! I've been reading all the strategies online, but it's so powerful, and it keeps using Calm Mind after I've used Acid Spray on it!! And if I terastilize Mew into a Dark-type, which gives it an immunity to Psychic-type moves, it uses Aura Sphere!!!
Plus, it's getting lucky with your online team. I think I ended up with NPCs, I never have a full human team.

Lately I've started trying to make a box of Pokemon designated for Tera Raids. Specifically 5 Star+ ones. Online Tera Raids are a blessing for a few reasons:
I don't have the DLC yet, so this is the only way I can really get Pokemon from Kitakami
It allows me to get version exclusives... minus Paradoxes. This is how I got my Dialga
I don't have to rely on NPCs to have a shred of a resemblance to a brain
Online Tera Raids seem to be strangely generous with Herba Mystica. I think all the Sour Herba Mystica I've gotten is from online raids
Anyway, here is the list of Pokemon I have so far. I'm trying to come up with at least one member for each typing, but there are still some where I don't know what I'd want to do with them. I'm open to suggestions on Pokemon to fill these gaps and some additions to make. I'm on Violet so some Pokemon from Scarlet (*cough* Paradoxes *cough*) likely won't be possible.
Normal = Undecided... do I even need one for this type??? Fire = Undecided; potential candidates are Ninetales, Skeledirge, Ceruledge, and Volcarona Water = Milotic Grass = Meowscarada Flying = Undecided; potential candidates are Dragonite, Talonflame, Corviknight, and Staraptor Fighting = Lucario Poison = Undecided; potential candidate is likely Revavroom. Electric = Vikavolt Ground = Clodsire Rock = Lycanroc (Dusk) Psychic = Mew Ice = Undecided; potential candidates are Baxcalibur and Alolan Ninetales Bug = Undecided; potential candidates are Vikavolt, Vespiquen, Leavanny, and there's one I'm forgetting but can't remember right now Ghost = Annihilape Steel = Tinkaton Dragon = Salamence Dark = Hydreigon Fairy = Sylveon and Iron Valiant (mostly Sylveon)

Months have passed and I’m still trying to beat enough 5 star tera raids for the Sweet Herba Mystica quest for the cooking teacher. I’ve got multiple of the other 4…. 🙃
No I’m not taking on an 6-7 stars. Bc I’ll have to depend on the competency of the Raid Community, who 99% of the time just want to show off their shinies. Shooting actual raid progression in the face. The raid community is a joke and the raids freeze so often. But of course Nintendo won’t do ANYTHING to address this issue. When 3 minutes pass and you can’t even take your turn…. That’s just taking the piss. When someone brings a Gardevoir to a Steel or Poison type raid… that’s just taking the piss.
WHEN SOMEONE BRINGS FUCKING KORAIDON TO A GODDAMN PSYCHIC OR FAIRY RAID, THATS DOWNRIGHT INSULTING
I’ve avoided the 7 star raids specifically because the raid community is reliably unreliable. I make better progress with three useless NPCs… and that really says something.
Also I’m going for a Dark Tera mew (just gotta farm 30 more shards) with Snarl and Life Dew in the upcoming Mewtwo 7 Star Raid. My timezone is BST/UTC+1 (England/UK time zone) and I would like allies in the fight who won’t cost everyone the win for pointless vanity, and who a strategy with can be prepared to counter a goddamned Psychic Tera Type Mewtwo that’ll likely have Psystrike…

A lil rant about Tera raids below !
So you know how I said I had fun with the tera raids? That's still true but I do think they're still The Worst. Mainly bc of how unfair it is. Yesterday it took me an hour to get a single pokemon bc it had sandstorm to benefit it, for some reason hit like a fucking truck, had swords dance to sweep when it got on low health. Like that fight was brutal. I barely got out alive. And even though that was definitely the hardest raid boss I've faced ( though I tried to do a Kommo-o raid and just realized it wasn't worth it lmao), can you imagine how it must feel for little jimmy who saw his favorite pokemon ever in one of those raids and realized very quickly that he just couldn't. And you can argue that maybe the raids were meant for like. I dunno, completive players to gather resources, but even then, it doesn't take away from the fact that it's not fun overall. Like I had fun catching with my 5 star tera raid spree cause I felt I was finally getting good, but I shouldn't have had to "get good". It's fucking pokemon. Why do I need a specific build - which can only be possible by gaining resources from said tera raids btw - and hope for specific NPCs( cause not everyone has online so the NPCs are your best shot) AND good RNG to score a win.
Again, I had fun going on a tera spree. But I won't forget the frustration and annoyance of wanting to do raids and just not having the resources to do them well and constantly losing to pokemon that honestly seem so busted ( which I suppose makes sense they are bosses but it feels that they have every advantage and the player doesn't). There's a reason why I put off tera raids in general until a few days ago. Will I still them? ( sigh) yeah. At least the ones that doesn't take me an hour to complete. I have pokemon showdown to fulfill my dreams of having specific tera types for specific pokemon, so I won't stress to hard. Also if it's a trade evolution, I need those ( does not have online and will take any chance she gets)
Okay rant over lol.

“megazardx2: A lot of things are wrong with the Pokémon Company, but if I’m to be honest, as someone who plays online, I think Tera Raids are a big step up from Max Raids. They’re a lot more engaging and fun, and even the offline partners are better (for lower-level raids; higher-level ones are still pretty impossible). (But hey, no one is as useless as Martin and his disgrace of a Solrock.)”
I’m going to hard disagree. Like, really hard. This is the worst system they’ve ever made.
The only improvement over raids is speed. You move faster, and you can just quit out like you should always be able to. Raids sucked because they’re slow as dirt and you can’t do anything. But Raids maintained all the bullshit of multiple moves, big shield that you can’t do anything about, clears all your buffs, removes all its debuffs and ailments, useless NPC allies if playing offline, etc. The difference is that now, you also deal with needing to be on-type, and having the main types still get STAB so they cover everything perfectly, and they’re level fucking 100 and you can’t beat them even completely capped out, and the only “solution” to things is to have ten billion max level Pokemon of a billion different types so you have something to counterpick (Delphox here has what, three things in the entire game that can potentially handle it?), and to have so many Tera Shards you can swap between types when needed despite them being farmed like 2 at a time per clear of these fucking these. To say nothing of the glitches. Oh, it ran out of HP but didn’t do the flash thing? Time for it to randomly recover like 20%! Oh, the game just decided you can’t make an action for a little while as you’re about to win, guess they get to charge their laser now despite the timer still having time on it! Raids are atrocious. I hope whoever designed this got fired. Ideally from a cannon. Into the fucking sun.

Mari's Tera Raid Guide #29 - Quaquaval
Best one I got is Eelektross! (Maybe we're done for real now?)
Eelektross lv.100
Ability: /
Tera type: electric
Item: Shell Bell
Nature: Adamant/Naughty
IVs: 31 HP, attack, defense
EVs: 252 attack, 252 defense, 4 HP
Moves:
-Tera Blast (TM) / Supercell Slam (TM - DLC only)
-Coil (level up) / Bulk Up (TM)
-Gastro Acid (level up)
-Crush Claw (level up)
NPCs: 1 with Intimidate (Staraptor/Arcanine/Tauros)
Usage:
- re: moveset alternatives. Supercell Slam is the most powerful physical electric move Eelektross has access to, but it's exclusive to the DLC. You could ask a friend with it to teach it to your pokemon and trade it back if you want. Only to be used with Coil though! Tera Blast is a bit weaker but way more accessible and can be used with Bulk Up.
- Coil is cheaper to get and a must for Supercell Slam, but Bulk Up saves you some seconds.
- NPCs: I tried without but one Intimidate haver is needed, to keep Quaquaval's attack down to neutral or negative. I would NOT go with two, because you're supposed to go ko in the first 3-4 turns, which may become impossible if Quaquaval's attack gets too low too soon. Other NPCs aren't too important, but good ones will be healers (Gardevoir/Arboliva) and defense-debuffers (Weavile/Mudsdale/Arcanine).
So. First thing you're gonna do is erase Quaquaval's ability with Gastro Acid, and forget about it. That's already a lot of attack boosts you don't have to worry about!
Next up, some Crush Claws - you should be able to make a couple land before you go ko. It's not important that they lower the opponent's defense, but the chance it happens is a bonus. When you come back from the ko, though, use Coil(/Bulk Up) instead - 6 times total, it could be necessary to stop and heal (with cheers) towards the end or if you get hit with a crit.
Then use Crush Claw again enough times to charge the tera orb, terastallize, and start spamming Tera Blast/Supercell Slam. If it looks too weak, and you don't have any NPC that can lower Quaquaval's defense, you can try investing a couple of turns using Crush Claw to lower it yourself before you resume attacking with the main damage dealer. Not too hard!
TL;DR: Gastro Acid; Crush Claw until ko, then Coil/Bulk Up x6 (heal with cheer if needed); more Crush Claw until tera orb charged; terastallize, Tera Blast/Supercell Slam spam until victory (can alternate with Crush Claw to try and lower defense).
Pros:
-catchable in the wild
-easy to get the right tera type and ability
-lots of level-up moves
Cons:
-needs some attention to NPC allies
Other Options:
MAYBE (never happened to me) 2+ Intimidate NPCs is viable, but it needs to be enough to keep you alive AND with enough HP to survive past the player stat&ability reset (85% time left) and the first 1-2 turns of Coil/Bulk Up. Same thing if you have NPCs that can actively lower the opponent's attack (Toxapex/Sylveon/Staraptor/Drifblim) or that can inflict paralysis (Dudunsparce/Umbreon/Bellibolt). In short: I can't promise it will work, but don't be scared to experiment!
#pkmn#pokemon#tera raids#pokemon sv#gen 9#guides#quaquaval#eelektross#very last minute! been busy#there are no more starters so maybe now we get some reruns? there's still quite some time before plza#mewtwo come home please

I had an idea last night as to how I could beat the Torterra raids given the Goodra build still isn’t working. Basically the other day when I was beating Citrine the Terapagos with Blueberry the Walking Wake in Scarlet I was thinking about how I suddenly really wanted to change it and Cherry the Iron Leaves’s Tera types to Stellar because I like to think they have more of a connection to Terapagos than normal for a Paradox Pokémon. I haven’t made the Tera type changes yet but my thought was that I could make the Tera type changes and replace their Booster Energies with Shell Bells and maybe that would work (I’ll test it a few times but no guarantees this is actually a good idea and I definitely need to rely on getting specific NPCs. I’m gonna need intimidators for both because Blueberry doesn’t resist any of Torterra’s moves and Cherry doesn’t have a debuff move like Blueberry’s Noble Roar (which won’t even work once the shield is up anyway) and I think Arboliva is a good choice for both versions which is ironic because of how much I’ve been annoyed at it for ruining a chance to use a Future Paradox Pokémon by swapping the Electric Terrain that would be very helpful out for Grassy Terrain but Cherry doesn’t know Electric Terrain so it doesn’t matter we can just use Swords Dance for those buffs. Also Arcanine or Drifblim’s burns would be useful but Blueberry knows Flamethrower if that doesn’t work. Also I don’t have any way to buff Blueberry’s stats so that may be a bit of a problem (have I considered not being so strict about keeping event Pokémon movesets the same as when I caught them?)). They actually both need Tera type changes for this situation because Blueberry’s Dragon-type is the one thing preventing it from being weak to Grass due to its Water-type which is also its Tera type while Cherry’s current Psychic Tera type doesn’t give Leaf Blade a boost. Also all this time I’ve been wondering what the purpose of Noble Roar is because most Pokémon specialise in one attack stat over the other but Torterra has both and I know I’ve been struggling because of that. Anyway there’s definitely something really obvious I’ve missed that makes the two of them completely unsuitable but neither of them are weak to any of Torterra’s damaging moves so that’s good
Also update on Snacksworth’s Legendary quest - I haven’t done anything else since I last posted about it but I plan on prioritising events and then when I’m not actively working on that I will grind for shit tonnes of BP in the Terarium because I really want to catch them in Master Balls. Yes even Kubfu (speaking of the plan to evolve it into Single Strike Urshifu in Scarlet and Rapid Strike Urshifu in Violet still stands)

Mighty Dondozo defeated in just 3 turns
A new Tera Raid event is live in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Mighty Dondozo. I have read that this raid can be really tough. However, I found a combination with which a 3 turn defeat is not only possible, but also most likely guaranteed - and you don‘t depend on NPC‘s which are using an Intimidate Pokemon!
Ok, first things first: what do you need?
This strategy requires two switches, because you have to control two Pokemon. Either you own two switches - which is not very unlikely these days - or you ask a friend to help you.
Your super star combo is Miraidon and Bellibolt.
Ok, next step. Which stats and move sets do you need?
Miraidon
IV‘s: Everything maxed out to 31
EV‘s: 252 SpAtk, 252 Def, 4 HP
Nature: Modest
Item: Life Orb
Moves: Metal Sound / Charge / Electro Drift
Bellibolt
IV‘s: Everything maxed out to 31
EV‘s: 252 Def, 252 HP, 4 SpAtk
Nature: Bold
Item: Electro Seeds (optional)
Moves: Reflect / Acid Spray / Electric Terrain
Last but not least - the strategy turn-by-turn, written like this Bellibolt / Miraidon - make sure that Bellibolt will be the first each turn:
Turn: Reflect / Metal Sound
Turn: Acid Spray / Charge
Turn: Acid Spray / Electro Drift
And with this, Dondozo is finished!
And for the case, just in case, that Metal Sound missed or you‘re facing a crit etc. - keep on to use Acid Spray with Bellibolt + use Electro Drift only if Dondozo has -6 on SpDef + Charge was your previous turn + Electric Terrain is still active. Renew Reflect and/or the Electric Terrain with Bellibolt if you need to, otherwise the shield will be activated. But even with the activated shield, it is still possible to win this raid if you keep on using the moves mentioned before.
There is only one scenario where I recommend to reset the raid: if a NPC brings Arboliva. With Grassy Terrain it is problematic to prevent Dondozos Yawn. I made it successfully through this raid, but was not that relaxed.

Given how long Scarlet and Violet have been out the fact that the Tera raid battles are still a buggy, glitchy mess is honestly unacceptable, especially when you're doing raids off-line.
I'm currently playing through Shield Version again to do a bug-type only run (given the bugs in Gen 9, such a run just wouldn't be possible in Scarlet or Violet) and as obnoxious as the raids are in SwSh (mainly because of the awful NPC helpers), they actually function correctly.
There's a chance they'll drop a update patch that fixes the major issues with the game when the DLC drops in a few weeks but I'm not holding my breath.
