He couldn't sleep, he just couldn't put his mind to rest despite the exhausting and unsuccessful days that had downed the Elric brothers, It was so frustrating but Ed couldn't help but feel something rise with each passing day...

Despite the failures of gathering food, keeping their shelter up, fire going and fighting off that monster, Ed felt like he was achieving something but just couldn't place his finger on it..

Teacher... what is it you're trying to tell me? What is it we are not seeing? How is this... even related to Alchemy?  

Edward's hands clenched before he sat himself up on their make-shift bed, he sighed running a hand through his greasy blonde hair... ugh, he swore he could feel the gunk just oozing from his scalp, he was so filthy and he didn't smell that good either. 

He flitted his golden eyes down to the bundle next to him that was his little brother, He looked like he was asleep... he must of been as exhausted as he was-- Not to mention starving too--

Ed quickly placed a hand over his stomach hearing it complain what seemed like the thousandth time, He was starving...
