anyway TODAY im thinking in context of transmasc ryou about the spirit of the ring learning that the body its possessing has a different situation than it was used to in life.

and like you know thats.. cool thats Fine after all reincarnation is a strange process, the body also has lighter skin and straighter hair, theres going to be differences. and it like, understands the situation very quickly after that (with some questioning of ryou in the usual weird, unnecessarily intimidating manner). being uncomfortable in your body, wanting to change it, yeah, ok, it gets that. respectable. relatable even. basically normal.

its probably the most decent that the spirit has been to ryou so far! he comes out of the conversation feeling really reassured and wondering if they could be as close as the yuugis someday...

um but then weeks later someone asks ryou why he was 'dressed like that' the other day and it turns out that the ring spirits most recent jaunts havent been the usual creepy violent shit, theyve been more the 'dig out old skirts from ryous storage' kind of thing

and ryou loses it because he thought the spirit understood for once, hed felt really seen and like he could trust this ghost with his body, and he hasnt felt this kind of incandescent defiance since he got his hand stabbed open.

he yells at the spirit till hes out of breath and then (ok were assuming soulroom access here. ok were all on the same level. good) he just stops mid sentence because he realises that while in their soulroom he has an astral body much like the one he feels is Right for him, the spirit looks a lot more like.. ryous physical body. she also looks pissed off as hell.

anyway thats not gonna resolve like immediately bc they do share a body and theyre gonna have to find some compromises between her pretending to be him and him living his life normal style.. but t4t tendergems.... t4t tendergems please......
