Ahhhhhhhh hello fellow tenmartha shipper!! I was wondering if you had any fic suggestions? I'm slowly making my way through the tag on AO3 and it's pretty hit or miss...
Also if you haven't checked her out yet, Haleine Delial over on FF.net is the top tier tenmartha writer and I wish she would transfer her stuff over to AO3 where it would get the attention it deserves 😭
https://m.fanfiction.net/u/1248996/?a=s&s=0&cid=0&p=1
Also also, I found a gold mine of fic on live journal over 10 years ago when I was desperately searching for content. This is a permanently open tab on my phone and hopefully you enjoy it if you haven't seen it already!
https://persiflage-1.livejournal.com/306664.html
Hiii! I've been enjoying your journey through my posts! 💜 And thank you so, so, so much for the recs—FFnet is pretty much the only place I haven't bled dry for TenMartha content, so I will definitely be looking into those!
Tumblr media
As for my recs...
Oh god, okay, so full disclosure: I tend to only read/write smut-containing fics (unless written by a friend or specifically recommended to me), as I am an animal—so my choices are severely limited in that sense… I also don’t read “established relationship” fics, so that’s another limit. But YES. I absolutely have some recs, I apologize if you’ve already read them all!
(This is by no means a complete list)
First just want to highlight my two faves:
wandererinthefourthdimension—In my opinion, the absolute tippy-top of the best of the best TenMartha writers. (I think I've possibly love-bombed her a bit too hard in my obsession with her works, but) she is exquisite. From dynamite characterizations to possibly the hottest smut I have ever read, she is OUTSTANDING. Here are a few:
Bliss
Informed Consent (has an amazing WIP sequel)
Alive (WIP—but for god's sake, read it)
HDUC—Pretty much anything by this magical smut goddess. Good god, this person needs to be on Ao3 as well, but can only be found on FF. It's quite tragic. Here are just a few of my favorites:
Craving
Contrition
Formalities
Brilliant
Diminished
Some more excellent content:
⭐️ = Added after original post
⭐️Moon Landing by TheGoldenAge
⭐️ Five Times the Doctor Wanted to Kiss Martha Jones in 1969 [And the One Time He Did] by radiantbaby (all ages)
⭐️The Art of Surviving by Nekare
⭐️Break Us Apart, Bring Us Together by Nekare (teen)
Our Lack of Social Skills by zauberer_sirin
Time Enough for Love by nonelvis
Lust in the Dust by Pax in Paradoxo
As Hot as a Wandering Sun by lastnightagain
In Half Light by rose_quartz_cave
Of Great Consequence (self-rec; WIP)—co-written with @pax-in-paradoxo The Purpose of Repose (WIP)(If you’re not too bothered by a fic that involves Ten & Rose as well)
A Shadow in the Human Heart by augustrain (DARK as hell—heed the warnings—and not nearly as smutty as anything else I've posted here, but still so so so good; brilliantly written. It's abandoned as well, but ends at a perfectly fine place for it to end)
I hope there's at least a couple here that you've never read and can enjoy! 💜

Fic Authors Self Rec!
Thank you @bronzeagepizzeria for tagging me 💖
When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💗
Did not expect this to be as difficult as it was. Also not sure I’ll feel this way in the morning, but here we are.
Anyway, some smut for you!
Bloodstream (200k)
I can’t not mention my baby 😭 For people who like very long, very smutty, emotional action/adventure fics that don’t skip smut. Even though I feel like I’ve improved a lot since writing this, I’m very proud of this story! It was my main vice for all of the happy feels and horniness that came from 300mg of Wellbutrin.
Extemporary Intimacy (28k)
A different take on the whole “virgin/asexual Ten” thing. Where the Doctor regenerates into something of a horny thing, and as a result, enlists Rose’s help to teach him about sex. And, oh yes, there is quite a bit of that 💀
For All We’re Worth (30k)
There need to be way more fics where the Doctor gives Rose her very first orgasm. This is me begging any writers who might be reading this — please write that concept. Fuck. In the meantime, here is this fic, which I hold very near and dear to my heart. Oh, and there’s truth serum. Yay!
Washed Up Together (20k)
This was my first standalone Tentoo/Rose fic 🥺 The OTP of all OTP’s. Also my first gift to my dear friend Niyati (tagged above). Love, misunderstandings, a little bit of jealousy, and lots of very graphic first time smut — my favorite thing.
The Purpose of Repose (95k)
My Ten/Martha-Ten/Rose fic that I’m always apprehensive to rec (for obvious reasons) — but to be honest, I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written 💀 Being that the majority of the readers are diehard TenRose shippers, I feel just comfortable enough tacking it onto this list!
If you feel inclined to participate — no pressure: @badxwolfxrising @demdifferentstories @mulderscully @aintfraidanoghosts @flamesandpages @dreamcaught @somekndofnature
And a rogue tag of an OG fave I can’t imagine will see this but wtfe @kscribbles my beloved

Words: 1,738
Summary:
Murderbot finds itself as the newest passenger of Moya after falling through a wormhole. John stops by its room to see if it's okay. It's not. It's hard to be okay when your wrist has never healed from an injury that was just reopened by diving in front of a crashing spaceship to save a stranger.
John uses neopronouns.
I wasn't planning on writing a mini crossover or even fanfiction at all but that's what happened. Slight spoilers for season two of Farscape, no spoilers for The Murderbot Diaries because I'm making it up because Martha Wells is ableist and refuses to let Murderbot become physically disabled and also refuses to do any world building for this series for some unfathomable reason.
if you really really like this you can feel free to copy and paste the text into a document and then convert it to an epub or PDF using convertio.co or freeconvert.com. If you have an android phone, the app "ReadEra" is an awesome free ebook app that you can customize a lot of stuff on. I highly recommend it.

“You know, stealing people's stuff isn't generally the best way to go about generating goodwill.”
(Archived read-more link)
[Read-More was here]
Startled, Murderbot jerked its head towards the door, the sudden movement causing it to drop the roll of bandaging it had been trying to maneuver with only the use of one hand. The bandages bounced off its shoe and rolled to an awkward stop in the middle of the floor, the tail end still pinned under Murderbot's hand.
Neither Moya nor Pilot were willing to let it hack any of the DRDs, or Moya's sensors, so Murderbot only had its own eyes and ears to keep track of its environment. Try as it might, it hadn't been able to figure out how to access any of Moya's systems, even superficially.
The door to “its” room was stuck in the open position, and no matter how many strings of code it threw at it, it didn't budge. The technology that made up Moya was as alien to Murderbot as well...all of the other aliens on this ship.
Crichton, one of the two humans onboard the alien ship, was standing in the hallway, leaning against the rounded edge of the door with a casual ease that did not actually help Murderbot's startled anxiety back down.
“What?” It asked. It wasn't that it hadn't heard what X had said, it just couldn't think of any appropriate response.
Crichton gestured to the roll of cloth now on the floor next to Murderbot's feet, the tail end still clutched in its numb fingers. “That used to be my shirt. You got it from my room. Next time, ask me first.”
There wasn't really any response Murderbot could think of to that, so it didn't say anything, just sat there on the side of the bed, staring.
The human's gaze visibly fell to Murderbot's wrist, the one that Murderbot had been trying all in vain to bandage. The seam was bleeding again, and so were the surrounding tissues.
Neon purple and blue blood was beading up on the surface of its skin as the mechanical parts on the inside ground together in the wrong way. Its pain dampeners were working at the moment, but that could stop at any moment, and it had wanted to get the wound bandaged before it would be in too much pain to even think about it.
Unfortunately, even though it wasn't able to actually feel the pain, that didn't mean it wasn't there. Trying to do something as simple as hold the end of the bandage roll was almost impossible. Its fingers didn't want to move, and when they did, they were either sluggish and heavy, or twitching uncontrollably.
It had taken ten solid minutes to get the roll of bandages positioned so that it could try wrapping them around its wrist with its other hand, and all that had been ruined when the human startled it.
It sighed aloud, unable to keep it internal only.
“That doesn't look good. You need any help with that?” Crichton's voice had changed tones, gentler now than it had been before.
This time Murderbot managed to keep its sigh internal. Yes, it needed help bandaging its wrist. No, it did not want the help. Especially not from a human it didn't know.
But it couldn't afford to lose any more blood than it already had. Moya was alien technology. Even if she wanted to, she wouldn't be able to help it generate the nutrients it needed to keep itself functioning.
“You can help if you promise not to touch me.” Murderbot said, agonizingly aware that its pain dampeners could switch off again any second. “I just need to bandage this to stop the bleeding.” It wasn't going to apologize for taking the bandages.
It tried to lift its injured arm off the hard surface of the table for emphasis, but couldn't actually manage to make it do anything except tingle warningly with pins and needles.
Crichton was moving forward briskly, as though X'd been waiting for just such an invitation, stooping to scoop the roll of bandages off the floor with an ease that Murderbot envied.
“What do you need me to do?” Crichton asked, winding the bandages back around the roll.
Murderbot tried to lift its injured arm again experimentally, but got the same result. It felt like its whole arm below the elbow had been physically disconnected.
It ended up having to use its other arm to awkwardly drag its hand closer to the edge so that it would be able to wrap the bandages around its wrist without the table getting in the way. Its wrist hung limply in the grasp of gravity like something dead. That was not doing anything to make Murderbot feel any better about the situation. “I'll put the bandage on, you just...” It felt like its brain was being fried. Its performance reliability was taking a nosedive. “Hold it for me.”
If it didn't get this over with soon, it was probably going to crash. And crashing in front of a strange human was the last thing on its 'Things I want to do at any point in my life' list.
With another pair of hands to hold the roll of bandages and guide them while it worked with its free hand, the process didn't take long at all. When the bandages were on as tightly as Murderbot could get them, already soaking up the mixtures of blood, Crichton used the small utility knife Murderbot had also stolen from X room to cut off the end, letting Murderbot pull it away to tuck under the edges.
“My name's John, by the way, since we haven't been properly introduced.” Crichton said, once they were done with the first aid, “My pronouns are ze/xir/xirself. I'm a human, the only one you'll find in this part of the galaxy. I breathe in oxygen, and exhale carbon dioxide. I've got a friend in here--” ze tapped xir head-- “Named Harvey. His pronouns are he/him/his/himself. The rest of the details will come up when they're important. What about you?”
Murderbot stared, bewildered by almost all parts of the statement, and the best response it could come up with was, “I thought your name was Crichton.”
Crichton—John? Smiled. “It is, Crichton is my family name. Both work fine, but I do prefer being called John. So, what should I call you? No one really got a chance to ask earlier, what with the whole hostage situation. Thanks for saving our butts, by the way.”
Murderbot wanted to think fast, but the impending systems shut down prevented that. “My pronouns are it/its/itself. My name is private but this hurts too much to think of a good alias right now.”
Its pain dampeners were starting to fail, one section at a time. The suspense was almost worse than if they'd just failed all at once.
“Fair enough. Is there anything we can do to ease the pain? Any chemicals you could use as medicine? If we don't have it we might be able to synthesize it if you're lucky. Are you hungry? I can't say we've got good food, but it's at least...half way edible. We hope.”
This was one of the many shitty things about being a construct. No one had ever given enough shits about what they felt to care about making painkillers that would work on them. “No.”
“No there's no pain medicines we could scrounge up, or no you're not hungry?”
Murderbot no longer had enough energy to uphold an entire end of a conversation. “No.”
“Alright.” John didn't seem angry at its curt reply. “I can take a hint, I'll leave you be. Is there anything I can do to help before I go, though? I mean, you did get thrown through a wall for me.” Yes, that's why Murderbot's wrist was currently trying to murder it. Being thrown through a wall, it turns out, was not a good idea if you had an unhealed injury that liked to burst into pain whenever it wanted.
But the expression on John Crichton's face was so sincere it was doing weird things to Murderbot's insides, and not just because it was about to collapse.
Why did so many humans have to care about it? This one was a complete stranger. Yes, Murderbot had shoved xir out of the way of the crashing spaceship and taken the hit itself, but that didn't mean ze needed to look at it like that. They weren't friends just because Murderbot had saved xir life.
But there was one thing ze could help with.
Murderbot summoned up its remaining strength to ask, “How do I shut the door?”
John looked over at the doorway, then back at Murderbot, then stood and strode over, pressing xir hand against a raised spot on the wall that Murderbot hadn't noticed. “You just have to press this, or ask Pilot or Moya if it doesn't work. There's one on the outside too. The lock on this door's disconnected right now because it was designed to lock from the outside, but if you want to stick around, we can get it to lock from the inside.” Ze pressed xir hand against the button, and two sections of wall slide across to close the door. Ze pressed it again, and the sections slid back into the wall again. Ze turned to smile back at Murderbot. “See? Easy peasy lemon squeazy.”
It turned out Murderbot had enough energy to roll its eyes.
John stepped out into the corridor, and reached out to the wall on that side. The door began to shut again. Right before it was closed completely, John called, “Goodnight, sunshine.”
Murderbot had no idea how to respond to that, so instead of trying to think of one, it let gravity take control and fell back against the bed. It was soft and warm and a perfect contrast to the slightest chill in the air, like it was made specifically to be comfortable.
It was part of the alien ship. Part of Moya. Probably an organic part of Moya. That was creepy. Murderbot should probably be worried about that.
But it would rather shut itself down now, voluntarily, before it had an involuntary shutdown or its pain dampeners stopped working, so it sighed out another breath, and embraced the oblivion of a voluntary shutdown.

What is Esther Most Correct About? Tournament Round 1, Matches 17-32 Recap:
17. While I am absolutely correct about "Pottery is one of River's special interests", the winner of this match with x/22 (63.6%) of the votes was "River carried pictures of the Doctor specifically because of the audio Signs" - and for good reason. That audio is Really Something.
18. Not every audio gets to be so lucky, however. "The fan audio Exhausted Supplies is canon" ended up losing to "River should have actually been giving back the diamond in THORS" which received x/19 (63.2%) of the votes.
19. In wonderful news regarding my plan to try to spread it as fanon, "Mia is short for Stayuexisumigorkefloryan" beat "Rose develops major anxiety around cars" with 12/23 (52.2%) of the votes!
20. If I thought I could get away without having to develop some sort of plan for ties, I thought wrong. "Pete's World sucks" and "Pete Tyler sucks" each received 13 votes, giving us the first Officially Equally Correct match up of the bracket!
21. "Sarah Jane vouched for Rose in the Turn Left parallel universe" is still true in my heart, but "Gomez!Master comes after Dhawan!Master in their personal timeline" - which won with 76.2% (16/21) of the votes - is true in a few more people's hearts - and you can't blame them, it's something I'm correct about.
22. "Rose and Sarah Jane were besties" lost to "Rose and Martha would have been besties", which received 60.9% (14/23) votes, but she's allowed to have more than one bestie, even of one was declared more correct than the other 😌
23. The numbers don't lie! While "Jack thinks Rose looks like Billie Piper - no one else really sees it" is a fun concept, 78.3% (18/23) of voters think "Jack and Rose should have gotten a more meaningful reunion" - I have it on good authority that some of them even still complain about that semi-regularly after all this time.
24. As much as I like to think about "Rose blames Jack for every zombie she meets", "Jack created the Bad Wolf computer virus" - one of my longest held headcanons - deserved its with with 70.6% (12/17) of the votes!
25. Is anyone surprised that "Rose realized she was bisexual before series 2" beat "Jack says Rose's type is arsonists" with 64% (16/25) of the votes?
26. keeping with the Rose-is-bi agenda: "Rose came out to Mickey as bisexual while they were in Pete's World" beat "Rose and Mickey made up in Pete's World" with 65.2% (15/23) of the votes!
27. While No Hot Ashes is a lovely piece of lore "Mickey and Rose considered themselves broken up before the book Winner Takes All" beat "No Hot Ashes >>>>>>>>" with 88.9% or 16/18 of the votes! That the highest percentage of votes that an option has recieved so far in the bracket!
28. Despite how conflicted opinions on Girl in the Fireplace can be within the fandom, ""...keep turning up. Like a bad wolf." from a novel was the best "bad wolf" drop" beat "The Clockwise Man was a better use of clockwork droids than GitF" with 63.6% (14/22) of the votes!
29. In proof that I rigged exactly zero of these polls in favor of my little guy, "The Doctor is a butch dyke" beat "Ganger!Eleven is great and has a lot of untapped fanfiction potential" with 78.6% (22/28) of the votes.
30. "Rose Tyler/Toshiko Sato. Not sorry." beat "The Pete's World version of the Tarot Girl from Torchwood spoke to Rose" with 64.7% (11/17) of the votes! Rarepair writers, if you're listening, now's your chance -
31. With 19/32 votes (or 59.4%), "It's weird to think Martha still has a grudge after 15 years" beat "Whatever's going on with Ten and Thirteen's gender is exactly the same" nearly 2:1!
32. With 69.7% (23/33) of the votes, the correct answer for Top Secret Match #32 (The Doctor would Heaven Sent for Sarah Jane and Amy Pond and Donna Noble and Rose Tyler and also -) was selected!

(Doctor Who) Fanfiction Master List
OneOfThoseThings on AO3
(Updated 11/12/21)
Color Key:
Fic Categories in Pink
Doctor/Donna Pairing Tag in Purple
Other Pairing Tags (Including Poly) in Blue
Platonic / Gen / Open to Interpretation (Doctor x Donna) in Green
Ratings in Yellow
Some of the stories in the series are more or less crucial to the ‘plot,’ so the optional ones are handily marked (Optional) in Orange
Newest Fics tagged [New] in Red
Note: The Doctor is always the Tenth Doctor unless otherwise specified (in this list, but also in life)
Standalone Fics
The Best of Times (Amnesiac Remix)
A mind-wiped Donna runs into Martha and gets some good old fashioned human help realizing her potential all over again. Word has gotten out through the twenty-seven planets she saved though, so there are a few more aliens following her around… including one very specific alien who really shouldn’t be there.
Doctor x Donna
Also Featuring: Martha and Jack
Rated M for the (Optional) last chapter
The Noble Neverwere
A timey-wimey fantasy fic in which the TARDIS finds a way to keep Donna Noble, but has a little trouble with the details like anchoring her in time and space.
Canon-compliant in the sense that it's never been explicitly stated that there isn't a time-fluid echo of a certain ginger companion haunting the TARDIS.
Ten x Donna with light background Twelve x Missy
Also Featuring: Cameos by Ryan, Mickey, and Rory
Rated M for (vaguely) implied sexual content and descriptions of conceptual horror (Rating rounded up for safety)
The Volatile Nature of Binary Stars
A dark(er) AU in which the Master happens upon a mind-wiped Donna and gives her a little boost the rest of the way to full Time Lord status. Then they both return to the TARDIS and an unsuspecting Doctor.
Spoiler: Unlike most fix-its, in this one Donna is Not pleased that she was abandoned and does Not magically just get over that.
Ten x Simm!Master AND Ten x Donna
Rated M for generally dark themes. No sex, just dark. (Rating rounded up for safety)
Universal Lost and Found
A fix-it in which Martha runs across a mind-wiped Donna and helps her (re)claim what the Universe owes her.
Donna x Martha
Note: Doctor x Donna and Doctor x Martha are implied, but this one is a Donna x Martha fic
Rated M for vague sexual content (Rating rounded up for safety)
Polymorphism
The TARDIS pulls her Bad Wolf through to a parallel world where she’s still traveling with the Doctor. And Martha. And Donna. And things are a bit friendlier this time around. (The companion polycule fic you’ve all been waiting for.)
Rose x Martha x Donna x Doctor
Note: This is really Rose x Martha x Donna with the arguably canonically Ace Doctor not left out in the cold. It’s not even a little bit a harem fic.
Rated T with implied sexual content
(Fluff and Humor) One Shots
Interspecies Communication
The Doctor fails to read the room and Donna has to deal with it.
Originally written as part of Interspecies Compatibility, but it actually makes more sense as a cracky standalone.
Open to Interpretation (platonic, shippy, whatever)
Rated T with implied sexual content
Just Act Natural
Donna gets the Doctor to Martha’s wedding. Shenanigans ensue.
There’s an optional sequel, “Compatible Lunacy” that is just straight up shippy.
Open to interpretation (platonic, shippy, whatever)
Rated T
Compatible Lunacy
Optional sequel to “Just Act Natural.”
Split into two parts because “Just Act Natural” could be read as platonic but “Compatible Lunacy” makes the whole thing more shippy
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for implied sexual content (Rating rounded up for safety)
Tension in D Minor
Donna tries to get some alone time with someone with matching human urges. The Doctor takes it a bit personally.
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for implied sexual content (Rating rounded up for safety)
Bathtime in B Sharp
Donna and the Doctor have to take a medicinal bath. Pointless fluff.
Open to Interpretation (platonic, shippy, whatever)
Rated T
Cuddles in C Major
A shag-or-die setup in which the aliens severely overestimate the Doctor’s mating drive and an indignant Donna gets a thorough cuddle.
Open to Interpretation (platonic, shippy, whatever)
Rated T
Arguments That Did Not Go As Planned
Donna tries to train the Doctor, one argument at a time.
Sort of Accidental Doctor x Donna
Rated T
A Bit Close [New 11/11]
In an (only slightly) alternate universe, the Fam has to get used to having Jack on board.
Thirteenth Doctor x Jack
Rated T
(Moody) One Shots
The Beat Between Measures
A missing scene from Revolution of the Daleks, in which the Doctor and Jack get a proper reunion
Thirteenth Doctor x Jack
Rated E because it's basically PWP with Feelings
(It Breaks You Down) A Little Bit More Each Time
Five times Donna Noble died, in escalating degrees of severity. (Not actual death, but y’know.)
Open to Interpretation (platonic, shippy, whatever)
Rated T
Series
Interspecies Compatibility
A series of semi-standalone, loosely-strung-together stories about the Doctor and Donna working through some of the many differences between humans and Time Lords.
This series tries not to actively contradict major canonical events. But a lot of liberties are taken around that.
Biological Specificity
A detailed lesson in Time Lord biology
Can be read as platonic, but only if one doesn’t keep reading this series
Not really shippy (on its own)
Rated T with vague discussions of mating practices (Could be G, but I'm not tagging my fics G FFS)
Acclimatization
Hard to call this one entirely platonic, but could be if one ignored alien cultural implications
Not really shippy (on its own)
Rated T with the alien equivalent of vaguely implied sexual content (that doesn't line up with the human version at all)
Ecological Fitting
Probably not platonic unless you’re using an interesting definition of platonic
Doctor x Donna
Rated T with vaguely implied sexual content
Symbiosis
Pretty solidly outside the boundaries of platonic here
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for implied sexual content
Contact High (Optional)
A fun day out
Not really shippy (on its own)
Rated T
Spandrel (Optional)
A casual day in
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for implied sexual content
Synesthesia
This is where this goofy series starts to take a real turn toward shippy
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for implied sexual content
Atavism
This is where the ratings should probably tick up
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for vague sexual content
Exaptation (Optional)
An optional morning after
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for vague sexual content
Coevolution
The obligatory Midnight fic
Doctor x Donna
Rated M for implied sexual content and dark themes
Survival Without Recovery
The fix and official end
Not really shippy (on its own)
Rated T
Lazarus Taxon (Optional)
An optional epilogue with a slightly less happy-go-lucky tone
Also Featuring: Cameos by Eleven, Twelve and finally Thirteen
Not really shippy (on its own)
Rated T
Nice Things; Good Things
A blatant canon divergence from Journey’s End where Donna just lets the metacrisis Doctor and Rose right back onto the TARDIS and then they all just go back to traveling together. Pretty soon after that, Jack gets added in and then it’s just the whole team enjoying themselves for once instead of having just endless tragedy for the sake of character building.
As the series goes on, it gets more and more polyamorous, but it’s set up so that each fic can be an acceptable stopping point so that anyone who isn’t on board can just hop off whenever they like and not have to deal with a bunch of unresolved cliffhangers.
Individual fics are carefully tagged (which makes for a hilariously long list of tags for the series, in case anyone is wondering.)
It Has Been 0 Days Since the Last Incident
The most standalone of all the fics in this series. Just Ten, Tentoo, Donna and Rose traveling in the TARDIS.
Doctor x Donna and background Tentoo x Rose
Rated T with implied sexual content
Morning Cuddles (Optional Ficlet)
Originally part of “Nice Things; Good Things” but it can also be read as a little standalone cuddle ficlet.
Doctor x Donna
Rated T with implied sexual situations
A New Path (Optional backstory for Jack getting added)
Jack officially joins the dream team
Doctor x Donna
Background Tentoo x Rose (leading to Tentoo x Rose x Jack)
Rated T with vaguely referenced sexual content
A Series of Perfectly Reasonable Misunderstandings
Confusing times with two Doctors in the mix now. (Starting down the poly path.)
Doctor x Donna
Tentoo x Rose x Jack
Rated M for frisky times, with chapters marked appropriately
Indisputably Well-Laid Plans
The Doctor and Donna court the other three. It goes great.
Doctor x Donna x Jack
Background Tentoo x Rose x Jack
A little light Tencest (as a treat)
Hints at pretty much every combination of these 5
Rated E for the second half of the fic, with chapters marked appropriately
Proper Communication
Rose and Donna get to know each other better without any distractions.
Donna x Rose
Rated E with chapters marked appropriately
All Together Now
With all the individual connections on board, all that's left is for the Doctor to ask Rose. Then it's a full-blown polycule.
Ten x Tentoo x Donna x Rose x Jack
Too many subsets of that to bother writing out— just call it shamelessly poly
Rated E with chapters marked appropriately
Modern Arts (and Crafts) (Optional PWP)
Just a full stop poly PWP
Ten x Tentoo x Donna x Rose x Jack
Rated E and it deserves it
Standard Courtship Rituals
10 ficlet-style dates
All 10 pairing subsets of Ten x Tentoo x Donna x Rose x Jack
Rated M for implied sexual content
Tied Game (Optional PWP)
Donna and Rose have a plan. Jack is involved.
Donna x Rose x Jack (with Ten x Tentoo x Donna x Rose x Jack in the background)
Rated E
Sweet Talk, Sweethearts (Optional PWP) [New 10/29]
The Doctor tries asking Donna for a little encouragement, like she gives the other humans. The metacrisis Doctor makes the request more convincingly (for both of them).
Ten x Donna x Tentoo
Rated E
Things That Catch
A Doctor/Donna series exploring the consequences (good, bad, and bizarre) of getting too close.
That Which Lingers Just Beneath
The Doctor gets a fever.
Doctor x Donna (not shippy on its own but heading that way)
Rated T
The Distance Between Could and Should
Having grown suspicious of relying on the TARDIS for translating, Donna asks for Gallifreyan lessons. The Doctor is not hard to convince.
Doctor x Donna (not aggressively shippy but getting there)
Rated T
A Clarity Found Only in Madness
The Doctor has nightmares. Donna tries to help.
Doctor x Donna
Rated T
For Which There Are No Words (Optional Kinktober Fun)
The Doctor and Donna have a proper relationship. Well. A relationship.
Doctor x Donna
Rated E (for safety)
To Fracture Like None Other
Donna gets a bit too casual with the Gallifreyan and is mistaken for the Doctor. Perhaps unsurprisingly, being mistaken for the last Time Lord in existence does not make for a fun day out.
Doctor x Donna
Rated T
A Dream Unfinished
Donna is unmade and left to her own devices. But her experiences may have already changed her more than anyone could have anticipated.
A/N: This is the point where this series turns into a lowkey rewrite.
Doctor x Donna (implied)
Rated T
An Uneven Stitch for An Uneven Scar
Donna returns to the TARDIS, but everything is different. After the metacrisis, she’s something new. Something strange. And all she knows for sure is that the Doctor can’t be trusted.
Doctor x Donna (but not in a cute way)
Rated M (for implied sexual content)
The Rift Immeasurable [New 10/16]
The Doctor makes an open offer for whatever might help. Donna takes him up on it in a way that he never expected.
Alternatively: Donna takes a gamble. The Doctor is not consulted on this gamble.
Doctor x Donna
Also Featuring: Guest Appearance by The Master
Rated M (with implied sexual content)
Collaborations
Aurous and Auriferous (For the DW HopeZine prompt “Plastered in Gold”)
A collaboration with the insanely talented @denzikken and @fritzmetzger
Aurous is a Journey’s End fix-it in which the metacrisis Doctor has to save the Time Lord from himself (Not explicitly shippy, Rated T)
Auriferous is an optional (significantly less “Gen”) sequel for people who think Gen Fixits are all well and good, but want a little Tencest to round it out. (Rated M for implied sexual content)
Ten x Tentoo (mildly implied in Aurous, actively happening in Auriferous) Also some light background Donna x Rose (for flavor)
The Wizard (For the DW HopeZine Big Bang)
A Very Official Collaboration with the mad geniuses @denzikken and @fritzmetzger (Featuring So Much Amazing Art!)
Donna gets an alien pet. The Doctor does not approve. (The Doctor also does not get a vote.)
Open to Interpretation (platonic, shippy, whatever)
Rated T
Promise You Won't Do It Again
A super unofficial collaboration with @theoreticalabsurdity, @echo84, @krebkrebkreb and @picnokinesis because the Jack x Thirteen crew is just Good at peer pressure
A series of (mostly fake) proposals
Thirteen x Jack
Rated T
Special thanks to anyone who’s read, given kudos, and/or commented on anything I’ve put together! Lots of love to the whole fandom!

OC Halloween Challenge 2021! - Day 17 - Not-So-Perfect Trip AU
Everything was going fine. Great in fact. Martha had decided to stay with us, and Sam and The Doctor were getting closer... but then that family. That damn family.
For some reason I can’t get this idea of a Human Nature/Family of Blood AU. Where the Out of Time cast go into hiding from the Family of Blood on the planet Marazi (the home of my Force of Nature OCs), instead of 1910s England. It’s like one of the most self indulgent things I’ve ever thought up, and is most likey something I shouldn’t make canon to Out of Time. But I’ve enjoyed daydreaming about it, and it’s probably fine if it just stays in my head.

The Nightmare of a Timelord - Tenth Doctor Reader Insert
You comfort The Doctor after a nightmare
Hurt/comfort, gender neutral reader, I wrote it as platonic but it can be read as romantic.
Warning: brief mention of the use of needles for medicinal purposes.
You awoke to the sound of beeping and whirring. Squinting up at the ceiling you saw a conglomeration of lights; purples, blues, golds all dancing around the room. The floor was cold under your bare feet as you padded to the back of the door to put on your dressing gown. You looked up at the strange lights again, they all seemed to gather at the door. Opening it, your eyes followed them as they trailed down the corridor.
‘What is it, what are you trying to tell me?’ you asked the TARDIS softly. She only hummed and beeped in response. Intrigued, you followed the trail. They led to a door, a door that you recognised. But the Doctor’s bedroom isn’t here, you thought, it’s next to the library. She must be moving the architecture to get me here, but why? And as though she could read your thoughts, which you uncomfortably reminded yourself that she can, the Tardis beeped, encouraging you to step inside.
Tentatively, you pushed the door open. It was immediately clear why the TARDIS was so keen to bring you here. There was the Doctor, writhing and shouting things you couldn’t make out. Sheets tangled around him like vines, some having left imprints on his skin which made him look horribly scarred.
You had seen The Doctor in so many ways from all your travels with him. You had seen him be so childish and laugh until he couldn’t stand up straight, you had seen him in his age, his wisdom and his weariness. You had seen him angry, the oncoming storm, his rage so palpable that it seemed to radiate from him.
But you had never seen him so helpless.
‘Doctor?’
You grabbed his shoulders in an attempt to steady him.
‘NO! STOP IT! PLEASE, I’LL DO ANYTHING!’ he screamed.
It was unbearable.
‘Doctor!’
Shooting upwards, the Doctor was suddenly awake, eyes darting around the room and panting, terrified.
You gently took his face in your hand and guided it towards your own. Placing your other hand on his chest you breathed heavily and slowly, encouraging him to do the same. His terrified brown eyes met yours and your heart wrenched. As his breathing slowed there was a change in his eyes; the initial fear had gone and had left only sadness in its wake.
‘It’s my fault.’ He croaked. The nearly not-there sound an awful contrast to his shouting.
‘No, it’s not.’ You breathed, holding back tears.
The Doctor buried his head on your shoulder and hugged you around the middle. You could feel his tears soaking through your pyjamas.
‘I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault. I couldn’t save them.’
‘Shhhh, it’s ok, it’s ok.’ You tried to reassure him, stroking your hands through his hair.
You wondered what had plagued his dreams. Was it the loss of Gallifrey or perhaps another planet that he couldn’t save? What horrors could possibly haunt the nightmares of a Time Lord?
After a while, the Doctor finally spoke. He lifted up his head but avoided meeting your eyes.
'Go to the med bay.’ His voice hoarse, barely a whisper. ‘The supply room, on the top shelf, there's a bottle of purple liquid. Get a needle too.'
You nodded.
You entered the med bay and made your way straight to the supply room: a labyrinth of various bottles and powders, even tanks of small luminous swarms. Many of these remedies were familiar to you and as you searched the shelves you were reminded of fond memories of the countless times that you and The Doctor had patched each other up after a perilous adventure.
Just as you thought that it would be impossible to find this vial among the cluttered shelves, a golden beam of light appeared which illumined an ancient looking bottle with Gallifreyan writing on the label.
'Thanks girl.'
You reached up and upon closer inspection you realised that there was hardly any of the purple liquid left. You grabbed a needle from the draw and made your way back to The Doctor.
Gingerly, you pushed the door open. The Doctor was sitting up in bed, his head in his hands and his beautiful hair upended.
'Doctor?'
He dragged his hands down his face and silently took the supplies from you. He moved with surprising ease and precision as he drew the substance out through the needle and located a vein in his arm. You averted your eyes as he administered it. The effect was immediate, and he began to fall backwards. It happened so fast you could do nothing but throw your arms around him and ease him down onto the pillows.
***
The next morning your mind was troubled by the events of the night. The thing that burdened you the most was how little of the purple substance was left in the bottle. How many nights had The Doctor spent like that? How many times did he endure it alone? You wondered if his dream was about Gallifrey or perhaps another planet that he couldn’t save. Your heart lurched at the thought of the weight he must carry; all those lives he blamed himself for losing.
You didn’t quite know how to act as you walked into the console room. The Doctor had exposed a part of himself that you had never seen before, and you didn’t quite know how to approach him.
You caught a glimpse of The Doctor.  He was in his blue suit and was leaning against one of the branch-like structures, tall and thin like an evening shadow. A terrible emptiness in his gaze told you that his mind was far away. But only for a second. As soon as he saw you his entire demeanour changed.
‘So!’ he bounded around the console and began to press various buttons and levers. ‘There is a burst of star fire, right now, off the coast of Metasighnafolia. The sky is like oil on water! Or, back in time. We could meet, oh I don’t know, Charles the Second? Henry the Eighth? I know – Jane Austen! I’d love to meet Jane Austen, I bet she’s brilliant.’ He looked up at you with a smile that soon died upon his face, the slight red in his eyes the only sign of the night before.
You looked at each other for a moment, the familiar humming of the TARDIS filling the silence. You couldn’t think of any words that could address the helplessness that you felt and your awe at his stoicism. That man was so like the galaxy, so full of wonder and beauty yet filled with secrets.
‘Oh, and thank you’
A glimmer of light had appeared in his eyes again.
You smiled at him.
‘Onwards?’
‘Onwards.’

Please let me know what you think! This is my first fic so I’m quite nervous about posting

Rating: I put it under "Mature" but it's not that bad really? Some vague sex and some very mild swearing. I just wasn't sure how old a "Teen" might potentially be, so I erred very much towards caution. Characters/Pairings: The TARDIS, Ten & Donna, Ten & Martha, Eleven/River, Ten/Romana, Eleven/Amy Additional Tags: Time Lord Donna Noble, Post-Episode: s03e13 Last of the Time Lords, Episode Fix-It: s04e13 Journey's End, Sex in a TARDIS, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Unplanned Pregnancy, Implied/Referenced Abortion, Time Travel, POV TARDIS, Chameleon Arch (Doctor Who), Time Lords and Ladies (Doctor Who), Time Lord Biology (Doctor Who), Alien Technology Notes: A collection of TARDIS-based AUs, some of which are from fic ideas I've had for years and just never found anywhere else to put them.
“When you change history, sometimes the change doesn't always propagate to every corner of the new reality. You have little bits left over, like pieces of the wrong jigsaw. It won't be a problem when you go home,” (and here he has to admit pausing to accommodate the idea of not having Amy around any more), “but the TARDIS treats your brain like a Time Lord brain and... well, it's incredibly complicated.”

Pairing: Tenth Doctor/Rose Tyler
Tags: Episode AU: s03e08-09 Human Nature/Family of Blood, Alternate Universe - Different First Meeting, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Fluff, Vitex Heiress Rose Tyler
Summary:
The one where instead of in Henrik's shop basement, The Doctor and Rose meet when The Doctor is working as The Scientific Advisor for Vitex Co. and Rose is the Vitex heiress. Only, The Doctor is hiding as a human, John Smith, in order to avoid a confrontation with the family of blood, and Rose is feeling trapped in her little life where everything has already been decided for her.
“I will run away with you someday, John Smith.” She joked and laughed when he grinned like it was the best idea he had ever heard,
“Where will we go, Rose Tyler?”
“I dunno. Everywhere. Anywhere. The world will be our oyster.” She proclaimed dramatically and he rolled his eyes, amused exasperation shining bright in them,
“I will keep my bags packed then.” He whispered, pulling her closer. She smiled,
“Hmm.” They kissed for what felt like eternities, cold food forgotten and time irrelevant. It was okay if he didn’t have anyone in his life. She didn’t really have anyone either. But, they had each other, and that was better than any other alternative.

Based on a scene from Informed Consent — just one of several spellbinding masterpieces written by the brilliant @wandererinthefourthdimension 🖤
I hope you like it, Anna!
Then – after a breathless, wavering heartbeat – she pressed back up. Kissed him again, trembling. Repeated that cycle three times over, as though she couldn’t help herself, as though they were magnetic, kissing longer, bolder, lips clinging with feverish, soft suction.
And then he tilted her head back, abruptly taking her face in both his hands, and went at her mouth from a deeper angle.

I need to get back to the sequel for “If They Knew Sweet Little You”. Martha/Mickey was meant to be a significant subplot in that part.
A sequel for “If They Knew Sweet Little You”?

The woman who will be remembered 2
Title: The woman who will be remembered – Part 2
Characters: Ten, Reader, Martha, Prof Smith :)
Pairing: (For now One-sided) Doctor x Reader
Words: 2.3k
Warnings: h/c
Summary: You aren’t the only one who fell for the Doctor. Having someone else who made the same mistakes opens your eyes for things you didn’t see before (Reader Insert for SEASON 3)
Part1 Part3
Martha was just like you. The girl who loved the Doctor. But this time he didn't love the new companion on TARDIS back - as he did with Rose. He loved her, like he loved you, as a companion and a friend.
The three of you were a great team, meeting Shakespeare and travelling the universe. Not even the Doctor forgetting who he truly was could break your close companionship. In hiding he was vulnerable and it was up to you and Martha to keep the teacher with the silly dreams hidden. The silly man who tried to court the nurse - Or actually the old friend who played to nurse to keep close and watch over him and the school. It was flattering and often made your heath beat faster to have this kind of attention from him. But it didn't matter. He wasn't the man you loved. All the time when he talked about his dreams you saw the brilliant man you fell for. But as soon as the teacher spoke to the woman who tended to the hurts of his students, that man was gone. Smith would never be the man you loved and so you would never be able to agree to any of his propositions of walks or dances.
"I never saw the Doctor like that." Martha said one day. "He is so human."
"That's the point." You replied with a slight smile. "So the family can't find him."
"Well yeah I know that." Martha rolled her eyes. "I meant his… courting you thing." She paused for a second. "You say courting in 1911, right?"
"I don't know." You giggle.
"Neither do I, but let's stick with courting for now." Martha decided. "It makes him human, this being awkward and shy about a dance."
"Dances and courting are a big deal at this time."
"To humans."
"To humans." You agree.
"It is weird to see him like this. He always seemed so much faster and cleverer than us ordinary humans."
"To him we aren't ordinary." You said thinking about the Doctor who spends his life protecting silly little earth.
"I always wonder why."
You had no answer to that. How could a man so brilliant, fast and clever be so fascinated by a species as dull, dumb and childish as the human race?
"So do I."
"You've met him a long time ago?" Martha asked. You never really talked about what you left behind to travel with the Doctor.
"I guess I did."
"He always seems so close to you. And at the same time you're distant. I don't get it."
Her words made you think about how the last time you got close to the Doctor went so wrong, how you almost lost this great man as your friend because your heart couldn't bare seeing him with someone else. Did you keep your distance now? It did never occur to you. It was a friendship just like in old times that bound you to the Doctor. Nothing more, you made sure of that. He needed a friend now and you had to make sure he had what he needed in you.
"We're friends."
"Of course you are!" Martha said "but I see you looking at him sometimes. And then there are others times…" She trailed off, unsure of what to say. "I feel like an outsider sometimes."
"Because you don't get how I look at him?" You try to laugh light heartedly. "Martha the man is mad! And so are we for running with him."
"We must be." That mad her crack a smile. "Although you have been around longer - You are the madder one. I guess that's why the human Doctor wants to keep you so close. He takes the close bond he still feels with you for love."
"I saw him human like this before." You thought back to the time just before Martha joined you in TARDIS. The sadness the Doctor felt about losing Rose, the anger and the pain of loneliness, you had seen it all in the eyes of the man whom you had known a long time yet whose face you only met recently. "It was a mass."
"Let's hope this ends better."
"When a great man tries to hide behind the mask of simplicity, it will only take time to reveal his true face."
"We're in for a shit storm, aren't we?"
"We run with madness. A shit storm won't even cover it."
Unfortunately you were right. The family found you, but the Doctor refused to be a time lord again. You might have gotten the stupid watch back from the little boy, but it was no good unless the Doctor accepted who he was.
"Doctor…" You tried to talk to him.
"Don't call me that." He looked angry. "That is the man in my dreams. But I'm me."
"You're so much more. You are the man who stands between earth and destruction, between humanity and pain, between peace and war."
"Tell me if I am a man of peace how come I'm running and bringing those creatures here to kill the innocent towns people?"
You had no answer to that. What were you supposed to say? He brought indeed destruction and murder.
"(Y/n), you knew all along who I apparently am… was… might be. You seemed to understand me in a way no one else here could. Tell me, this other me what is he to you that you can see through me so easily?"
"He's my friend."
"But you refused me getting close! You were around but never here. What sort of friend is close but never there?"
"The one that keeps you save. The one that has your back without asking you for anything."
"I asked for a dance." As you danced with Rose, your brain supplied quietly.
"And I refused. What you ask for is not always what you want."
"How dare you tell me what I want? I am me, I am capable of knowing what I want and what not. Maybe I was the Doctor but now I am me."
"You will always be the Doctor."  You smiled kindly and laid a hand on his arm. "My friend."
He looked at you with so much confusion and uncertainty, his eyes troubled with the thought of deciding.
"Would you have gone for the dance with him?" He asked all of a sudden. "Was I the right face with the wrong man inside?"
"You are amazing, Mr Smith, a great teacher and support for these boys." You answered. "And I would have gladly danced with such a great man. Yet a dance means a promise in this time, a promise of love and stability."
"One you can't give?"
"One both of us wouldn't be able to keep." You smiled. "The Doctor loved another and if he's one thing than it's loyal and honest."
"He must be a good man." Smith said slowly, thinking about his words carefully. "To have a friend like you.
"Maybe I am this Doctor and we will find out soon enough… Just… right now I want you to know that am I not yet the Doctor again, so I can tell you without knowing this person he loved, that I would have gladly gone for that dance with you."
"So would have I." You squeezed his hands "But please right here there is no room for dances. You need to bring the Doctor back. We need him."
"As you wish." He took your hand and brought it to his lips. "As you wish, (y/n)."
You never spoke of it again. First it was the family that needed taking care of and then Jack stumbled back into your life. And that was just the beginning of endless trouble.
With Martha off to wherever the Doctor had send her it was only you, Jack and Martha's family on that ship (or ministry of defence as the master called it). A year that never was as Jack called it later. A year of slavery as you saw it.
The master had his very own way of getting to you, torture just as bad as Jack and everyone else suffered only in a way that hurt so much more than physical pain could.
"Massage time!" Declared the new self-declared ruler of the earth. "I think I'll have the girl who was left behind again!"
All the other girls he would hit on seemingly without any complaints from his dutiful stupid wife. But not with you.
"365 days later and you're still here. While Martha Jones was saved." He smiled "How does it feel to be left behind? Not considered worth saving?"
You never replied him. It hurt every time but you would never ever let him see it. It didn't matter if you stayed behind, didn't matter why the Doctor chose Martha - she was brilliant after all. If there was one thing you trusted in completely then it was that this wasn't the end. It might be brilliant strong Martha Jones saving the day or maybe the Doctor or even you strangling the Master during one of his stupid massages one day. It didn't matter. All that mattered was to keep going. Because 365 days wasn't for ever and for ever wasn't decided in 365 days.
In the end it was Martha Jones who came back. She and the whole planet earth stood behind the one man who could undo a whole year and set everything right.
When it was all over and the Doctor was holding the Master you saw the desperation in his eyes - And you saw Lucy with the gun. It was her choice, one she earned in your eyes. Ending a life was a terrible thing but… Saving one from imprisonment - even if it was in the Doctor’s care - wasn't so bad after all. Lucy ended the drums and set the man she loved free. Maybe it was her kindness that made the Master chose her in the first place.
"I'm getting out." Martha confined in you at a quiet moment.
"You're what?"
"Leaving." Martha smiled sadly "My family needs me. More than the Doctor does. He has you after all."
"But, Martha, ..." You liked Martha. It was nice to have some else only half mad with you. Plus you didn't want to be Rose, you didn't want to make her feel like she had to go. Martha just proved how worthy she was of being a companion to the Doctor, she had walked the earth to tell his story.
"I promised myself years ago to get out before I was stuck pining after a guy who would never look at me twice." She took a deep breath. "Maybe you should too. I don't know. I'm a doctor, not a shrink. I can't tell you what to do. But… (y/n), don't waste your life. It's too short to be nothing but second best for someone."
You swallowed. Martha was absolutely right, of course she was. But… Last time you left it was just before the Doctor needed you the most.
"Thank you." You replied carefully. "But I'm first and before everything his friend. I love him, but that's alright who wouldn't? Rose, you, me, we're all examples for how he is so… him, that we can't help but love him for it, because of it."
"I think you're different than me or Rose." Martha shook her head before she hugged you and whispered "You're special. And one day, if he gets really really lucky he will understand that."
"You didn't look surprised about her going." Martha had just left the TARDIS. For good.
"She told me."
"You knew about her being…" he gestured between himself and the closed door, still looking confused.
"I did." You confirmed. "Even before she told me."
"I didn't." He looked at you, full of surprise and wonder. "How couldn't I not see it? Am I getting old?"
"I think you only see what you want to see in us. We're companions for a while, but deep down you know we will never, we just can't, stay for ever. It is our fault for forgetting that we're only human."
He looked at you for a long time. His face considering but unreadable. "There is nothing only human about anyone I've met." He jumped up and took both your hands in his. "What the master said about you wasn't true. I would never leave you behind like that. I'm sorry for Cardiff, sorry for not seeing that you didn't really want out. That I drove you off, made you feel replaceable. I never…"
"I'm not saying it's okay, but… I guess I forgive you. I forgave you a long time ago." You take a deep breath. "And I'm sorry for being so… distant as Martha put it."
"I broke your faith in me. And then I came running back, asking you to be my friend again… (y/n), what did I do?" He looked at you so helpless.
"Doctor… You just lost Martha maybe we shouldn't…"
"Oh no I'm not letting you off like this again. (Y/n), there were so many times since we met up again that we should have talked." He squeezed your hands. "Stop being brave. I know I hurt you and yet here you are, still with me. Tell me, (y/n) “
"Tell you what?" You asked softly when he didn't seem to finish that sentence.
"I don't know." He admitted. "So much I wonder, so much I need to ask you, but… It all seems like the wrong thing to ask, not important enough. There's only… (y/n), will you stay? Can you stay? Be my friend again, not the one protecting me from others, from myself. All I need is my friend to be my friend again."
"Are you asking me to be your friend - Like a four year old?" You smiled which made him grin. He wrapped his arms around you.
"A nine hundred year old kindergartener, maybe." He held you a little closer a little more desperate. "You’re my friend. I should be the one taking care of you. And I will now. I will never forget again who you are. The girl who always stood by me."

Grouping these two asks together because they share the same energy.
It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of the doctor x river ship, and I am not going to get the Ten and River audios because of it.
Anyways, I also want more Martha and Mickey. I want to know more about their relationship. I mean, we had Jack return last season so I don’t see a reason they can’t return either. I really want to see Mickey’s reaction to Thirteen.
We did get a little bit of Tentoo in the form of audios where he does profess his love for Rose. I really do want more. A whole Metacrisis series would be amazing and hopefully one day we will get it.
And there are some very shippy moments in the books, I mean Ten full on kisses Rose The Stone Rose and is so very, VERY soft with her. And they do apparently hide inside someone’s bedroom for five minutes in the start of The Infamy of the Zarros audio. But yeah, a full on romantic subplot would’ve been very appreciated.
This is why I love fanfiction because it fills that gap very nicely.
Ask me stuff about Doctor Who.

Fanfic Master List (All Doctor Who)
OneOfThoseThings on AO3
(Updated 8/19/21)
Doctor/Donna Standalone Fics
The Best of Times (Amnesiac Remix)
A mind-wiped Donna runs into Martha and gets some good old fashioned human help realizing her potential all over again. Word has gotten out through the twenty-seven planets she saved though, so there are a few more aliens following her around… including one very specific alien who really shouldn’t be there.
Ship: Tenth Doctor x Donna Noble
Also Featuring: Martha and Jack
The Noble Neverwere
A timey-wimey fantasy fic in which the TARDIS finds a way to keep Donna Noble, but has a little trouble with the details like anchoring her in time and space.
Canon-compliant in the sense that it's never been explicitly stated that there isn't a time-fluid echo of a certain ginger companion haunting the TARDIS.
Ship: Tenth Doctor x Donna Noble
Also Featuring: Missy and Twelve, with cameos by Ryan, Mickey, and Rory
Standalone Fics with Other Pairings
The Volatile Nature of Binary Stars
A dark(er) AU in which the Master happens upon a mind-wiped Donna and gives her a little boost the rest of the way to full Time Lord status. Then they both return to the TARDIS and an unsuspecting Doctor.
Spoiler: Unlike most fix-its, in this one Donna is Not pleased that she was abandoned and does Not magically just get over that.
Ships: Doctor x Master (Simms) AND Doctor x Donna
The Beat Between Measures
A missing scene from Revolution of the Daleks, in which the Doctor and Jack get a proper reunion
Ship: Thirteenth Doctor x Jack
Universal Lost and Found
A fix-it in which Martha runs across a mind-wiped Donna and helps her (re)claim what the Universe owes her.
Ship: Donna x Martha
Note: Doctor x Donna and Doctor x Martha are implied, but this one is a Donna x Martha fic
Polymorphism
The companion polycule fic you’ve all been waiting for. The TARDIS pulls her Bad Wolf through to a parallel world where she’s still travelling with the Doctor. And Martha. And Donna. And things are a bit friendlier this time around.
Ship: Rose x Martha x Donna x Tenth Doctor
Note: This is really Rose x Martha x Donna with the (arguably canonically Ace) Doctor not left out in the cold. It’s not even a little bit a harem fic.
Series
Ships: Eventual Doctor x Donna and Tentoo x Rose (in the background)
A New Path (Optional backstory for Jack getting added)
Doctor x Donna
Tentoo x Rose (in the background, leading to Tentoo x Rose x Jack)
A Series of Perfectly Reasonable Misunderstandings
Doctor x Donna
Tentoo x Rose x Jack
(Starting down the poly path)
Indisputably Well-Laid Plans
Doctor x Donna x Jack
Background Tentoo x Rose x Jack
A little light Tencest (as a treat)
Hints at pretty much every combination of these 5
Note: this fic also marks the shift into explicit ratings territory
Proper Communication
Donna x Rose
All Together Now
Ten x Tentoo x Donna x Rose x Jack
Too many subsets of that to bother writing out— just call it shamelessly poly
Modern Arts (and Crafts)
Ten x Tentoo x Donna x Rose x Jack
Just a full stop poly PWP
Standard Courtship Rituals
All 10 pairing subsets of Ten x Tentoo x Donna x Rose x Jack
10 ficlet-style dates
Interspecies Compatibility
A series of semi-standalone, loosely-strung-together stories about the Doctor and Donna working through some of the many differences between humans and Time Lords.
This series tries not to actively contradict major canonical events. But a lot of liberties are taken around that.
Some of the stories are more or less crucial to the ‘plot,’ so the optional ones are handily marked ‘(Optional)’.
Ship: Doctor x Donna
Biological Specificity
A detailed lesson in Time Lord biology
Can be read as platonic, but only if one doesn’t keep reading this series
Acclimatization
Hard to call this one entirely platonic, but could be if one ignored alien cultural implications
Ecological Fitting
Probably not platonic unless you’re using an interesting definition of platonic
Symbiosis
Pretty solidly outside the boundaries of platonic here
Contact High (Optional)
A fun day out
Spandrel (Optional)
A casual day in
Synesthesia
This is where this goofy series starts to take a real turn toward shippy
Atavism
This is where the ratings should probably tick up
Exaptation (Optional)
An optional morning after
Coevolution
The obligatory Midnight fic
Survival Without Recovery
The fix and official end
Not particularly shippy
Lazarus Taxon (Optional)
An optional epilogue with a slightly less happy-go-lucky tone
Also Featuring: Cameos by Eleven, Twelve and finally Thirteen
Open to Interpretation
Less of a “series,” more of a “collection” of fics that are open to interpretation by the reader.
Platonic, shippy, ace-- you decide.
Just Act Natural
Donna gets the Doctor to Martha’s wedding. Shenanigans ensue.
There’s an optional sequel, “Compatible Lunacy” that is just straight up shippy.
Interspecies Communication
The Doctor fails to read the room and Donna has to deal with it.
Originally written as part of Interspecies Compatibility, but it actually makes more sense as a cracky standalone.
Bathtime in B Sharp
Donna and the Doctor have to take a medicinal bath. Pointless fluff.
Cuddles in C Minor
A shag-or-die setup in which the aliens severely overestimate the Doctor’s mating drive and an indignant Donna gets a thorough cuddle.
Absolute Shameless Fluff
Compatible Lunacy
Optional sequel to “Just Act Natural.”
Split into two parts because “Just Act Natural” could be read as platonic but “Compatible Lunacy” makes the whole thing more shippy
Ship: Platonic or Doctor x Donna (If you read “Compatible Lunacy”)
Tension in D Minor
Donna tries to get some alone time with someone with matching human urges. The Doctor takes it a bit personally.
Ship: Tenth Doctor x Donna Noble
Morning Cuddles
Originally part of “Nice Things; Good Things” but it probably makes more sense as a little standalone cuddle ficlet.
Ship: Established Tenth Doctor x Donna Noble
Arguments That Did Not Go As Planned
Donna tries to train the Doctor, one argument at a time.
Ship: Sort of Accidental Tenth Doctor x Donna Noble
(Moody) Gen
(It Breaks You Down) A Little Bit More Each Time
Five times Donna Noble died, in escalating degrees of severity. (Not actual death, but y’know.)
Collaborations
Aurous and Auriferous
Aurous is a Journey’s End fix-it in which the metacrisis Doctor has to save the Time Lord from himself (Written for the DW HopeZine prompt “Plastered in Gold”)
Auriferous is an optional (significantly less “Gen”) sequel for people who think Gen Fixits are all well and good, but want a little Tencest to round it out.
A collaboration with the insanely talented @denzikken and @fritzmetzger
Ship: Ten x Tentoo (mildly implied in Aurous, actively happening in Auriferous) Also some light background Donna x Rose (for flavor)
Special thanks to anyone who’s read, given kudos, and/or commented on anything I’ve put together! Lots of love to the whole fandom!

Note
Hm.... all the shipping asks? ;D
1. What was your first OTP?
Maria and Captain Von Trapp, before I knew what an OTP even was...
2. What is your current OTP?
Kate/Hotspur, Henry/Mary Ricahrd/Anne...4er
3. Do you have any OT3/OT+ ships? What are your favorites?
Richard/various combinations of various people. Robert/Richard/Anne is a favourite. ...also Constance/Gaunt/Katherine...
4. What is/are your favorite trope(s)?
I like a good slow burn, but only if it pays off and once they’re together, they STAY TOGETHER.
5. What is/are your least favorite trope(s)?
Love triangles, cheating....
6. Do you have a certain kind of ship you’re more attracted to?
IF THEY’RE NOT FRIENDS AS WELL AS LOVERS, THEN WHAT IS THE POINT* (unless part of the point is that they’re not friends and this is actually addressed or at least acknowledged)
7. Are most of your ships “pure” or “problematic”?
yeah I don’t wanna answer this question.
8. Who is the most shippable person you can think of?
Richard II.
9. Are there any fandoms you don’t have any ships for?
I don’t think so?
10. Do characters have to have canon interactions for you to ship them?
as a general rule, probably yes. they almost certainly have to be part of the same canon for me to ship them.
11. What makes a great ship in your own opinion?
the characters are well rounded people independent of each other.
12. What drives you away from a ship?
Idk ,generally a mix of things, but mostly if the characters don’t even seem to like each other that much (caveat: unless disliking each other is PART of the relationship being explored)
13. Is there anything you ship but refuse to interact with the community for?
No.
14. Has a fanbase ever made you ship or not ship something? Why?
Richardbroke. hadn’t considered it before but man is that a fun trainwreck to play with.
15. Do you like/participate in ship wars? Why or why not?
No, because why would I want to spend energy being argumentative and potentially horrible to people over something that does not effect me in the slightest.
16. Are there any ships you just can’t/don’t understand? What are they?
Ross/Rachel. I’m sure there are others but that’s the first thing that springs to mind.
17. Are there any popular ships that you just don’t like? What are they?
Rose/Ten. For a start, I actually see Ten as asexual and a LOT of Rose/Ten shipping seems to involve smut. For another, I just. don’t find it that compelling - I think Ten & Martha and Ten & Donna actually have a lot more complex and interesting relationships (now, Nine/Rose, otoh...) Also, large parts of the fanbase for that ship just...grate me the wrong way, and I object to random David Tennant characters being shipped with random Billie Piper characters, especially for fandoms where there is limited fic anyway *cough* Broadchurch *cough*.
Merlin/Arthur is the other thing. I just...don’t see why an intense relationship HAS to be made romantic and/or sexual  in nature, and also it’s Gwen erasure.
18. What is your favorite unpopular ship?
one day I am actually gonna write Richard x Falstaff fic and it is gonna be hilarious.
19. Do you prefer fluff, angst, or smut for your ships?
Everything? Everything Is good.
20. Do you prefer bigger fanbases or smaller ones?
Smaller Ones. there’s less content but MORE FRIENDS *aggressively hugs Richardclub*
21. Have you ever received hate for a ship you liked?
No.
22. Do you have any ships that you ship, but would never want to see as canon?
Alec Hardy/Ellie Miller. Great fanfiction but I wouldn’t want it to actually be a thing.
23. Have you ever had a ship become canon, but you didn’t like how it was portrayed?
I didn’t like that Joey/Rachel was only a thing for like two minutes.
24. What is your favorite canon ship?
Robert/Richard/Anne. also Hardison/Parker from  Leverage.
25. What are your favorite ships from a dead fandom?
I...don’t think I’m part of any “dead” fandoms?
26. What are your favorite shipping scenes?
Maria and Captain von Trapp dancing at the ball, the flint castle snoggage scene, @nuingiliath ‘s Henry-proposes-to-Mary-fic...
27. What are your views on reader x canon ships?
Not my thing but *shrugs*
28. What is your best shipping advice?
I have none.
29. Do you like OCs (Original Characters)?
Answered.
30. What are some of your favorite shipping blogs?
I don’t know of any blogs dedicated to shipping
