Thanks so much for this!! I decided to go with Amara Castro, one of my new Big Time Rush OCs, and thus I’m also tagging the BTR moots @partiallypearl, @dancingsunflowers-ocs, @bibaybe, and @manyfandomocs!! <3

She lives with her older siblings, Teo and Veronica, who are twins. The twins are also the only reason she can live at the Palm Woods in the first place, since she’s never had any of her writing published - they’re actors who have both had minor roles in a handful of shoes and movies.

She and her siblings also do not have a good relationship with their parents, which is why Veronica and Teo are Amara’s guardians. I won’t get into the exact reasons why, but the relationship is… pretty bad.

Her biggest writing influences are Agatha Christie, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Terry Pratchett, which is in part where she got the inspiration for the fantasy mystery novel she’s working on.

She likes to listen to music while she’s writing, usually the instrumental soundtracks of fantasy media like The Hobbit and Game of Thrones.

She really likes hard candies and caramels, which Carlos likes to tease her about being an old lady for.

She has read Little Women a grand total of ten times, and still tears up when Beth dies every time.

Her first celebrity crush was on Raul Julia as Gomez in the 90’s Addams Family movies.

She is, maybe predictably for a mystery writer, very into true crime shows and podcasts, as well as stories about urban myths and legends. She hopes to start her own someday, after she has some success as a writer.

She was never the biggest fan of pop music before meeting the boys, but they manage to turn her on to not only their music but that of many other pop artists.

She is terrified of grasshoppers. Don’t ask her why, she just finds them freaky.

Sophia doesn't realize she is asexual for a while but she is pretty comfortable with it once she does

On Monday I found out we're hosting a retirement party for my aunt tomorrow (Saturday) and went.... Man, I have nothing else going on, I can knit her a hat or something. She has a new puppy so something that can be specifically for dog walkies would be good.

I had a bunch of this leftover purple from my last gift hat which I know she likes. But just a plain purple hat felt boring (I don't have the energy to do anything more complicated that stockinette) so I broke out my scraps bag and found this bright pink and dark blue that I like with it. Just for flair.

I'm gonna do my crown decreases like normal but instead of my normal kitchener cast off for hats I'm going to actually leave a little bit of a hole at the top. Just big enough to fit a small button through that I'm going to tie a pompom to. So if my aunt needs to wash the hat or wear it under a hood or something, she can just pop the pompom out without issue.

Trans-Kirito story-idea

After the SAO beta-test, Suguha "borrows" (read, follows her god-given right to be an annoying little sister) Kirito's NervGear.

As Suguha very much doesn't want to run around "as a boy" (yuck), she redoes the body-scan.

Kirito is very much not amused by Suguha stealing his shit, and takes it back. Kirito checks that nothing is actually broken (it works just fine), but doesn't think about "resetting" the body-scan.

The in-game avatar isn't changed (Kirito picks "male"), and Suguha the preteen and Kirito before his growth-spurt have very similar body-types), so any "this feels a bit odd to get used to"-feelings are attributed to Kirito lying about his height.

SAO starts, and Kirito is having zero issues with his avatar.

SAO becomes a death-game and Kayaba makes the mirror-item happen.

The mirror-item uses the recorded body-scan to create the avatar (and a video-feed for recording faces and facial-expressions).

So Kirito now has the body of a preteen girl, and the face of a very cute boy.

Let the chaos begin.

i wish we got more molly and will scenes. they have such a good chemistry together. the few scenes we have of them awkwardly trying to talk about their feelings and will unable to reach out and molly reassuring him however she can are so bittersweet. in the script theres WAY more small gestures of love between the two of them like will crying in her hands or kissing her face and molly complimenting him about his progress or calling him hotshot and sweet lol. i am one of those people that truly believe will loved molly !!!!!! of COURSE he didnt love her as passionately and as maddeningly as he loved hannibal. but i feel like he felt safe around her and found his sense of normalcy and soothing and secure environment that hannibal could have but never gave him. he needed that after so many years fighting for his life and everyone else’s. god i WISH we got to see those kisses or those tears from will crying at his own guilt for putting his wife and son in danger even with hannibal being out of his life. ( also molly is so pretty and they look so good together. and i love their little house.)

Ten facts for Greta, pllls?

Greta actually likes most of her classes at Auradon Prep, but she gets put into Remedial Goodness 101 after the whole incident at Ben’s coronation when she’s revealed to have been helping the VKs (Fairy Godmother’s decision, not Ben’s, because Ben was more than willing to forgive and forget), and she loathes it.

Her father and all of her uncles show up for Parents Day, since most of them have children at Auradon Prep, and though she worries about it, they’re all very sweet and accepting when she coaxes Evie to come meet all of them.

Her hair is naturally brown, but she’s been bleaching it since her freshman year of high school.

(She decides to stop for a bit in between the second and third movies, after Evie convinces her to give her hair a bit of a break, so she’s brunette for the whole of the third movie’s storyline.)

After the events of Ben’s coronation, when she starts letting other people in more and letting them be her friends and Ben finds out that she wants to be a royal advisor in the Summerlands, he offers to give her an unofficial position as his own advisor so she can get some training. Because of this, she’s a big part of drafting the legislation that allows them to bring more kids over from the Isle.

She has a rather unfortunate addiction to energy drinks, and has been known to mix them with her coffee when Doug and/or Evie isn’t around to play impulse control and stop her.

She often calls Audrey “Pinky” as a snide nickname, especially pre- the first movie when her bitterness is mostly running unchecked.

Greta also lets Jane persuade her to join Auradon Prep’s student council and model parliament after the first movie, to get her even more political training, and she winds up getting elected president of the student council (ousting Audrey, which is kind of cathartic for her) and running that shit like the Navy.

She mostly wears a worn pair of leather Doc Martens or combat boots for shoes, but can sometimes be persuaded to wear a pair of black high top sneakers with more formal outfits.

One of the villain kids she fights particularly hard to get off of the Isle after becoming Ben’s unofficial advisor is Eunice, the Enchantress’s daughter, and it’s more than a little bit to spite Beast, who she really doesn’t like.

He started learning how to ride horses at 5 years old

His family has owned the ranch he used to work on for 3 generations (his great granddad was the first)

Beau's from Texas and his accent is very strong

If his mother hadn't died when she did, it's honestly very likely he never would have tried to join the FBI but she always told him to follow his heart even if it led him away from the ranch

He's got 5 siblings, he's the second born child but firstborn son

Beau listens to Spencer ramble all day about anything, he will often just think of random topics to see what Spencer knows about them

He's won first at junior rodeo championships many times

Beau double majored in criminal justice and psychology because the mindset of criminals and those that catch them had interested him once his aunt started dating a former FBI agent

He doesn't have his appendix anymore, he had appendicitis when he was 14

His favorite food is chili

The thing about the veil is like. I am completely uninterested in whether or not it would have been the morally correct choice to make. I’m not mad about the veil staying up because things could get better for thedas if it came down— I’m mad that the veil stayed up bc imo that is the least interesting decision the game could have made narratively. It feels weird to say this abt veilguard bc I know it’s objectively not true, but subjectively it felt like nothing at all changed. The lore drops didn’t matter outside of the conversations they were revealed in. The south fell entirely off screen. The elven gods are dead, but the dalish are so absent that it doesn’t feel like anything happened. Objectively the world changes but it feels like it doesn’t. By comparison, look at the first three games. Ferelden is changed by both the blight and your actions. Kirkwall is so fundamentally changed by the end of da2 that there is no way to go back to the way it was. The sky is literally scarred by the events of inquisition. Imo the events of veilguard just don’t have that much narrative weight. But if the veil went down— regardless of if it stayed down or not— the world would look so fucking different because of it!!! They had the juiciest narrative decision of their lives and they just. Didn’t go for it. Boggles the mind

10 random facts about me

Let's see. I think I've done some random facts asks before so there may be some overlap because I'm not a very interesting person but let's see...

When I was like 6 or something, my brother had me convinced he was Peter Pan and he gave me a little bag of pixie dust. I was (and still am) terrified of heights but he told me if I jumped off the back porch, which was really high off the ground to tiny me, that I would fly if I sprinkled the pixie dust on myself. I got as far as climbing over the railing and trying to summon the courage to jump when he stopped me. Turns out the pixie dust was powdered sugar.

My favorite song of all time is Free Somebody by Luna from f(x). Idk what it is about that song that my brain latched onto like "yesssssss this is the one" but I just love it.

I am named after Laura Ingalls Wilder.

I am intensely weirded out by puppets, particularly of the Muppet variety. There's just something about those felt-covered bastards I don't trust.

I started playing the Sims 1 in 2002 when I was 16. I never owned a single expansion pack for it, but it captivated me so much, I was almost late for work more than once because my pixel people needed me.

I always say "please" and "thank you" to my virtual assistants, not because I'm afraid of a robot uprising, but because that's just how I am. I don't even realize I do it, most of the time. Me and Bixby (I'm a Samsung user) actually have beef because I'll be like "Hey Bixby open Outlook, please" and she'll be like "lol bitch Idk what Outlookplease is" and I'm like "OPEN. OUTLOOK. Please." and she's like "Idk what you want me to do, you don't have Outlookplease installed on your phone" and I'm like "I AM TRYING TO BE NICE TO YOU" and Bixby just sits there all smug and not opening Outlook like aldjfalsdjfadsjfalsjfsd what do you want from me why won't you accept my politeness???????

I have made my Simself in every version of the game except Sims 1 because it wasn't possible to do so. But in Sims 2, 3, and 4, I have made myself and of course I am always a witch with a black cat familiar.

My addiction to CAS goes back to childhood when I used to make dresses for my Barbies out of random scraps of fabric. I didn't know how to sew, though, so everything was held together with safety pins, dental floss, school glue, and tape.

Not only can I whistle, I can whistle pretty darn well. I can't sing worth a damn so I guess God felt sorry for me and gave me one singular musical talent. It just so happens to be the one that most people find incredibly annoying.

I've been fascinated by Greek mythology since I was a small child entirely too young to be reading Greek mythology. Do you know how much incest there is in Greek mythology?! A lot. A LOT! I was raised by Fundies so it's really surprising I was allowed to read those stories and nobody was like "hey maybe the 6 year old shouldn't be reading about all this murder and incest and baby-eating". Because baby-eating also comes up a surprising amount of times. I still love it, though. Give me a good Greek myth any day.
