In studying the history behind Esther’s story (current WIP), it is immensely clear that human leaders and empires are temporary. Not one has ever been able to thwart the plan of God. Psalm 2 says it well. God is so much bigger and yet we think we can defy Him or stop His work in the world, even in our lives. ~~ We really have no clue what His power looks like. But given the fact that history shows no one who has shaken fist or might against Him has prevailed, perhaps we would do well to recognize just who He is? ~~ The Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the Lord of Hosts is His name. Pray that the many nations of the world see Him. No plan against Him will prevail. Guaranteed. ~~ And yet He loves us! ~~ What lengths He went to to prove that love is staggering.
