art vs artist / art summary of 2023

This year was simultaneously the worst and best year. I lost my dad in February and have had to learn how to keep going while dealing with that grief. Art has been a huge outlet for me - all of the love and complicated emotions I've felt, I've poured into my characters and my pieces. But along with that grief, I've also had a beautiful time, focusing more on the things that matter to me: giving my all to my platonic relationships, enjoying time with my family and creating art that I am proud of.

Thank you for all of the lovely comments and support this year <3 I've loved working on the commissions, messaging you guys about OCs and forcing you guys to read long-ass posts about Nat and Mai's complicated relationship (there will be more of them next year, 100%). Love you all! <3
