Kaldorei were originally designed to have a pink hair option with golden face markings. Pink hair was reintroduced during Wotlk for Kaldorei death knights. The face option seen here was also removed.

So I made a bunch of maps for reworked versions of vanilla starting zones and these will accompany my eventual AO3 post containing more information RE what's been added or changed in order to give the playable races more depth and flavour.

I like Bel'Ameth and Amirdrassil, but I won't lie, I miss the Night Elf style of purple twilight ambience that you got with Teldrassil.

geniune question, did i miss the horde apologizing or paying reparations somewhere for teldrassil or did blizz really coerce them into helping the nelfs make a new world tree and went eh that's good enough? i havent finished the amirdrassil patch and havent played my hordie through dragonflight yet, but it feels weird that we've gotten this far and everyone just seems to have moved on without so much as an actual apology, i feel like i must have missed something somewhere. like did they ever just....say sorry LOL

Photo 1: A high wall seems to be leading the path towards buildings positioned in a circular manner.

Photo 2: Elevated wooden path leads the way around the city.

Photo 3: Wooden path leads to entrance.

Photo 4 and 5: Kaldorei statue which is now seen at the entrance to Stormwind, was originally intended to be in Darnassus. This looks to me to be in the center of Darnassus possibly where the bank is now. Behind the statue is a building seen elsewere in Kaldorei territories but no longer in Darnassus itself.
