"Tekken 8 sucks"
*sigh* it only just recently came out, give it time. We are only in season one currently, season 2 hasn't even come out yet. There's a lot they need to flash out on. People said it about Tekken 7 too and turned out pretty okay and it was an arcade game first, this one is not. And remember, we are only in the beginning of the circle of this game. I am repeating that yes so you guys understand this and keep it in mind.
There are gonna be a lot of changes and new stuff throughout the years of this game and we should consider ourselves lucky the devs actually listen to everyone's criticim and try to fix things, other games do not have that.
Once a few years pass, trust me, you guys will love this game and consider it one of the best games in the franchise.

Happy 30th anniversary to Tekken!
On the 9th of December, thirty years ago, the original Tekken game was released in Japanese arcades.
The Tekken series is one of the most iconic fighting game franchises in video game history. It quickly became a cornerstone of the genre, thanks to its advanced use of 3D graphics and unique gameplay mechanics. Tekken’s gameplay revolves around a precise four-button control system, with each button corresponding to a character’s limb. This design, combined with its deep combo systems and intricate movement options like sidestepping, set Tekken apart from other fighting games that relied on projectile-based combat. The series has evolved over time, introducing mechanics like juggle combos, rage arts, and character customization, all of which have added layers of complexity and accessibility.
One of Tekken’s defining features is its compelling and expansive storyline, which centers around the Mishima family feud. This multi-generational saga is a tale of betrayal, revenge, and power struggles, with supernatural elements woven into its narrative. The main conflict revolves around Heihachi Mishima, his son Kazuya, and his grandson Jin Kazama, all of whom are pivotal players in the series’ overarching story. Their rivalry often drives the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, the in-universe competition where the best fighters in the world gather. The story mode, cutscenes, and character interactions give the series a cinematic flair that appeals to casual players and dedicated fans alike.
The Tekken series boasts one of the most diverse and beloved character rosters in fighting games. Each fighter is meticulously designed, with unique movesets reflecting real-world martial arts or fantastical styles. From iconic characters like Jin Kazama, Nina Williams, and Paul Phoenix to unconventional choices like Kuma the bear and Yoshimitsu the ninja, Tekken’s lineup caters to a wide range of playstyles and preferences. Over the years, the roster has expanded, featuring guest characters like Akuma from Street Fighter and Noctis from Final Fantasy XV, which have broadened its appeal.
In addition to its deep gameplay and story, Tekken has been a pioneer in competitive gaming. It has been a staple in esports events, including EVO, thanks to its balanced gameplay and high skill ceiling. The introduction of Tekken World Tour tournaments further cemented its position in the competitive scene, drawing players and audiences from around the globe.
Throughout its history, Tekken has remained a trailblazer in the fighting game genre. Titles like Tekken 3 are considered among the greatest video games of all time, while later entries like Tekken 7 continued to push the boundaries with stunning visuals, innovative mechanics, and online play. With each installment, Tekken evolves, blending tradition and innovation, ensuring its place as a beloved franchise for generations of gamers.
With the last character of Tekken 8's Season 1 to be announced at the Video Game Awards and Anna Williams teased as the opening act of Season 2, the future looks very bright and very exciting for the series!

Tekken 8 - Season Pass 1 Trailer:
"Evo Japan just happened, which means we have a new Tekken 8 trailer. We have a new stage coming, a story exapsnion and of course, Lidia is back. Honestly, I feel mixed. I don't hate Lidia at all, but her reveal pretty much confirms the other 2 leaked characters, which means I am not excited for em. The new stage looks lovely. I wanted another long stage, specially because they are perfect for long combos, so this is perfect for me. I am quite excited for the story expansion, specially because it seems like it will be focus on Jun, and I need to know what happened to her during all of these years."

Let the Funtimes Poll!
Oh, I guess I've been slacking on thinking of ideas for the monthly poll. Uh, well, I guess EVO Japan is coming up, and they announced a really unexpected collaboration with Sesame Street, and there's been this weird push to get Waffle House as a stage in Tekken 8 so... Besides the obvious choice of "Pete/Claire/Sara in Smash Bros",

Out of the Tekken 8 roster including DLC, who are your favorites or who do you like the most?
Who do you think the remaining 2 DLCs will be for Tekken 8's Season 1?
You're asking the wrong person about T8, holmes. Haven't played it, sorry. So i am not qualified to answer that.

Tekken 8 Story DLC leak (confirmed by multiple sources)
Multiple sources have confirmed this leak for us. This is the outline of the story for Tekken 8’s Season 1 Story DLC. We are bringing you this at risk so please be respectful.
-Paul is revealed to be Forrest Law’s father, and teaches him Phoenix techniques as his hair grows upward. He will be added in Season 2.
-Doctor Bosconovitch creates a sword for Yoshimitsu made of his ear hairs. (No gameplay change)
-Jun becomes Unknown after taking G-Corp Percs, afterward she Bounces on Green Ogre Penis to create a new Devil Alien Baby, Jin’s new brother, who will be named Niko.
-Alisa’s voice will be replaced with a Cajun man’s voice
-Lee Chaolan will be given a customization toggle under Body that allows him to have his prominent bulge from Tekken 4 concept art using any pants item.
-Heihachi is revealed to be physically younger post-resurrection, and more virile than ever. He will have a 2hr “gauntlet” style fight against Doctor Bosconovitch’s laboratory guards to receive the test results for his sperm count.
-Jack-7’s allowance from his Tekken 7 ending will be usable to buy fishing baubles and lures for a new minigame
We will keep you posted as more information is verified. Our sources are still playing through the story expansion and are having a tough go of things and getting knocked out a lot in real life.

Hi! Been loving your posts, headcanons, and tweets about Tekken ever since, especially about Kazuya and Jun! I'm still shy to reach out to the community as I would love to discuss these stuffs, but I still enjoy reading from afar and silent!
Since the relase of the DLC and its journal bits, I've been wondering if they teased Jun's quote, "This time, I will same them both" as a future reference for what is going to happen in the story, with Jun having her "powers" sort of awakened through the sanctum. It was also somewhat confirmed that she has "Angel blood" as part of the Kazama clan (or maybe there is more to it).
And with that, do you think it also builds up to how she will protect them against Reina at some point?Since both Jin and Kazuya's devil gene are gone (or maybe not??can namco do an a** pull again¿¿). She is also confirmed to be a pure-blooded Hachijo. Her quote against Jun was interesting too, (Foul woman...), might be that she hates her for her powers (a devil who hates the angel), or just the fact that she is WITH Kazuya 😌. I always thought that their character quotes CAN be a foreshadowing to their future interactions, like Kazuya to Jun or to Heihachi.
It could be a:
Kazama vs Hachijo (Jun vs Reina)
Kazuya vs Heihachi (AGAIN)
For Jin, it will be awesome to see him fight with Kazuya against Heihachi, if at some point they will reuinte thanks to Jun's help. Would be awesome to have a deep dive to his Angel form too.
I wanted to know your thoughts on this! Thats it for my ramblings and I hope you enjoy your day :))
YESS!!! I AGREE WITH YOU ANON AND I SEE YOUR VISION!!!
*Ahem* hehehe first of all thank you for liking my stuff i really appriciate it. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart anon!. 🥹
i honestly do think the quotes are foreshadowing the story that will come in the future of Tekken 8!. Remember we are only in the beginning of the circle of the game! We still go room to go!. I think they wil realease or maybe announce Tekken 9 around 2028-29 though so lets see!.
BUT YES
i defitely see Reina Vs Jun at some point. Especially with Reina's quote againts Jun! and Bandai may had dropped a hint of Kazuya Vs Heihachi too, in the season 2 teaser. So we may have an encounter with them before their clash in Tekken 9. I honestly wanna see Jin and Kazuya againts him. And hopefully Reina having a redeemption. 🥹

Should BlazBlue Get a New Fighting Game Entry?
Duh. ... Okay, well let me explain. You've probably never heard of what the heck a "BlazBlue" is. BlazBlue, BB for short, is a 2D traditonal fighting game made by arcsystemworks. It was created when they had lost the rights to Guilty Gear momentarily. They wanted to have an IP that would be fully theirs', and so BB was born. That's the basic history of BB. As most games do, it had multiple installments. The last game we got in the BB name was a game called BlazBlue Entropy Effect in 2024! While a good game, this... was not a fighting game, instead an action platformer. So, when was the last BB fighting game? Let me enlighten you on... BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle!
This game released in 2018 and was the last entry in the BB fighting game series. Unlike Entropy Effect, this was a fighting game! Hooray! Well, actually no. To put it lightly, it isn't a good game. The gameplay is too easy even for beginner players, there was way too many broken moves that completely shut down some characters, and half the cast you had to pay to get. While in concept, having a cross-series fighting game with Blazblue, Persona 4, Undernight Inbirth, and RWBY was cool, it didn't do well. The game stopped receiving any updates after it's final DLC season, not even patch notes. Nowadays, BBTAG is labelled a pretty dead game. But, it isn't all that bad for BlazBlue fans, because...
BlazBlue Centralfiction exists and is very much a great fighting game that is still being played! A big roster of well rounded characters that are both lovable as characters in the fighting game and characters in the story, satisfying combos that were actually practical, and a stable competitive scene. If you want to get into BB, this is the game!! Well, if this game is great, well balanced, has good online, and a stable fanbase, what's the problem? Well, this game came out in 2015... It's nine years old as I'm writing this!! To put how old this game is, Street Fighter 6 came out and is in season 2, Guilty Gear Strive came out and is entering season 4, Tekken 8 came out, and Mortal Kombat is still trash. In the time that all of these happened, BlazeBlue fans still haven't got a successor to BBCF, a tried and true fighting (unlike BBTAG). "Why doesn't the develops just make a new one? Clearly there's a demand for it..." Amazing question! Well, after the the flop of BBTAG, the director walked out on BlazBlue. And well, without a director, a game is pretty much put on a deathbed. Since then, BB has been in limbo. To be honest, BB is one of my favourite series' and I know that's true for so many people as well. Many people want BB back in the fighting game scene in just anyway since even though BBCF is a good game, it's numbers aren't anywhere near games like Street Fighter and Tekken. There is so many lovable characters in this series like Ragna, Rachel, Kagura, Hazama, Jubei, and by god so many others. It sucks that this game is left this way, and if you've actually read this, you'd probably agree too. However... I want to end this on a positive note. Even though BlazBlue has been going through a massive rut, two years ago, arcsysystemworks stated that they do not want BlazBlue to compete with Guilty Gear, their other fighting game. They also stated that they haven't forgotten about BlazBlue. They are a company that honestly puts a butt ton of effort into their games (like seriously just look at Guilty Gear Strive gameplay. The game is really well animated). What they do take a lot of time, talent, money, and passion. It may be a while until we get a new BlazBlue fighting game, but they have said they want it to have a huge impact when it does come out. Of course, things could change but... BB fans are at least reassured that the IP itself isn't dead with Entropy Effect coming out to great reviews and arcsystemworks stating the above. Well, this has been andsaid. Thanks for reading :)

With Season 1 coming to an end, what are your predictions for Season 2 of Tekken 8?
Since Bryan Fury is already in the game and I'm shoddy at predictions I have no clue hahaha. Noctis was a kind of out of the blue guest character, so I'm curious to see if they have any interesting guest characters brewing.
At the end of the day though, I'm pretty happy with anyone :)
