You know what would be amazing? A Teen Wolf fandom event entirely dedicated to the characters whose actors refused to be in the Teen Wolf Movie (Stiles, Kira) and their ships (Steter, Sterek, Thiam, Stira, Malira, Steo etc) Just to spite Jeff Davis and Tyler Posey

So that most of the attention is on this event rather than the movie? Oh, anon, I love your mind 🤣🤣🤣

Dylan O'brien (Stiles), Arden Cho (Kira) and Cody Christian (Theo) aren't in the movie—so a fandom event for Sterek/Steter/other Stiles ships, Malira/other Malia ships and Thiam/Steo/other Theo ships (where the other partner(s) do not include SM, hopefully) would be a cool idea!

Hmm. See, I think a brilliant move would be to conduct the event near the release date of the film, and as much I'd love to mod such an event, I don't have that kind of time at the moment... so, if anyone else wants to, please let's do this!

okay how far in the future is this set. Like. Are we talking current time? Like 2022 in movie time? So what... that means the fire happened... about 17 years ago. Because Derek was 16 when he met Kate right... but like also... the timeline is already all over the place so they can fit this in anywhere. When did the kid happen? No. He's adopted this kid. That's brown hair, moles, pale skin (Paige/Stiles) and bright eyes (Derek). Give us: Derek wanted something good, something normal, something that showed that he is healing, and so he chose to be a dad because he's ready to care for another person's life. And he chose this. Chose this kid who resembles someone he loves, someone he fell in love with and is choosing to be in love with still. It can be Paige. Maybe he never moved on, or, he did, and this is her way of honoring her, loving her when she isn't here to be the recipient of his love herself. Or it can be Stiles.

Give us this. Not whatever KA related bullshit they're preparing, apparently.

Yes, exactly. Pale skin + Brown Hair + Moles + Plaid, that's all Stiles-esque look. It's as if they were looking for an actor who looks an awful lot like Tyler/Dylan mix.

Neither Tyler nor Dylan have been confirmed as actors in the movie, and still we have this Sterek "easter egg".

I have a feeling that either they'll tell us this is KA's kid, because the timing fits if the movie is going to be set in current time aka 2022. The fire happened in 2005, January I believe, so that would make the kid about 17... but then again, what is timeline in Teen Wolf?

Paige and Derek hadn't gone all the way with each other. By that I mean they hadn't gotten to third base—but that was Peter's POV, his side of the story we heard. So honestly, anything could happen. But I'd rather this kid is adopted. Because Derek chose a kid who looks like him and Paige/him and Stiles. And not "oh, yeah, there was this kid from this woman you loved that betrayed you/you had to mercy kill".

So I was thinking in the shower about the teen wolf movie and I'm pretty sure I found the worst scenario again, and well since I'm a sadist I thought I might subject you to it? 😂

So the movie would start with Stiles' funeral ofc, and the camera works would highlight that Derek seems to be one of the most affected and he's the last one to stay behind.

Scott comes and puts a hand on his shoulder and Derek acknowledges his presence by saying "I always wondered what would have happened if we'd acted on our feelings for each other."

And Scott would respond with "You know, the reason why Stiles and I broke up was because he used to still have feelings for you."

I am reading this article and I am 100% confident this person has not seen the show.

First of All:

"Mentor Derek Hale" is such a pathetic lie. And honestly, disrespectful to Derek as a person. In Season 1, in the beginning, Derek tried to be that for Scott. Even after Scott told Derek he'd let Derek be tortured by his family's killer [and Derek's rapist, though Scott didn't know that] if he didn't help Scott save said killer's niece. Who, by the way, was aware of Derek being tortured in the basement of his own burnt family home.

Scott doesn't deserve Derek to mentor him. He's not Scott's mentor. A good person who is advising a kid to stay safe? Sure. But not mentor. Mentor is a person who you respect and we all know how much Scott "respects" Derek.

Second:

"Best Friend Stiles" is unappealing to me, and honestly should be a delusion that Scott has, but what can I do? JD and MTV love to shove down Sciles Brotp at us. Can't do anything about it. But.

The way this is written. It suggests that Lydia is Scott's girlfriend. What the fuck? And what the fuck is "Werecoyote healer Malia Tate"???

Third:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW. "BITTEN BY WEREWOLF DEREK HALE" dude what are you on. Like. The hell?? Peter is making dramatically offended noises in the corner I can hear his outraged gasp

The problem comes from this: Why would Kate ever carry a werewolf's child to term? And if, for some twisted reason, she does carry a werewolf's child to term, wouldn't Gerard know about it? Because in S2 it's pretty well established that however psychopathic their bond is, Gerard and Kate share a strong father/daughter bond. Gerard literally came from wherever he was to avenge his daughter. There being an Alpha (Derek) he could utilize to cure himself was just a bonus.

So the question is, if Gerard knows, does that mean he has pulled Eli into his side of the War? Because the fact that Eli lives to be 15 when he is supposedly Kate's child means he is a human. So, what? Does Derek have to come to the terms with the fact that the woman who raped him and burnt his family alive also hid his child from him? A child who no doubt hates him because hey c'mon—Gerard's influence.

There's just. So much wrong here. Plus as the anon said, if JD and the writers write the movie like they did the show (which is very, very likely) then they don't have the ability to portray exactly how sensitive this situation is. Rather, they will decide not to show it. AND yes. How many characters are even there in this approximately 1.5h to 2h movie? Like, how tf are they going to incorporate all these storylines they seem to be cooking up?

Okay, back to the KA being the mom thing—if Gerard doesn't know, then that means Kate handled her pregnancy alone and then probably put up Eli for adoption (maybe). This is bad too. Why? Because they could make it seem like we should be sympathetic to Kate. I'm all for redemption arcs but NOT WITH HER.

I'd honestly rather they Sam Winchester wife'd this whole "who is Eli's mom". Like, at this point—after Paige and Julia/Jennifer—we know Derek has a type. Pale skinned, smartass, sarcastic, brown hair, brown eyes, mole-dotted. (Which also represents Stiles and I'm 100% aboard the Sterek Lovechild thing, but I doubt the movie would actually do that). And we know that Derek uses his looks and body to repress his emotions (hence Kate happened). So, maybe, when he is in New York, he meets someone, hooks up with her, and bam, gets her pregnant. She doesn't tell him because he doesn't seem stable, is young (if we go by Jan 2005 being when the fire happened, and in 2022 Eli is 15, then Eli was conceived in maybe late 2006; so Derek would be 17/18 at the time). The mother either raises the child or puts him for adoption, and if Eli is a werewolf, that complicates things if she isn't in the know.

So, like, there are so many problems here—and I honestly don't think this movie is going to be satisfying for anyone if so many storylines just coincide, especially by making us change our pre-conceived notions. I'm maybe going to watch it (do send me links of sites that work if you know of one/some), but that's just because I like knowing the full story.

On paper I don't think this kid being Kate's is necessarily a bad idea, the issue comes from JD and his utter lack of understanding that Derek was a victim of ab*se, and so he'd totally make this about how Derek "abandoned" his kid and have Eli hate Derek for that, and not deal with the sensitivity of an issue like a victim of ab*se being forced to deal with a child under those circumstances.

And to cast an actor who looks so like Stiles... JD is the twisted one.

Absolutely that but also it's a little movie that has to incorporate so many storylines. Using what little time they have to make derek suffer again is such a fuck you to one of the two most popular characters in the entire show, especially when hurting derek is such a recurring event. It's 2022. Let him REST. Enough is enough.

Well guess what. That someone has multiplied themselves. And we don't want to watch a Scalia wedding or whatever—we��at least I—want sterek. I want sterek scenes, Stiles and Derek being snarky to each other while their eyes shine with love. (Wasn't that the show, anyways? Derek learning to trust, to love a human, anyone again? And he chose Stiles for that. And Stiles was there for him, every time he could be).

BUT ALSO like. The scenes they chose for Stiles paints him as more of a main character than Scott, and Derek also had a few solid scenes.

Literally the only cameo I want from Sterek in the movie. Just like, super vague references throughout the movie that they're married/together and are somewhere else, and then in the very final shot, there should be like a wall of fame with every pack member's photo, and there we see it: Derek and Stiles' wedding picture(s).
