CherryCola Teen Pregnancy AU pt 1
SO, I have become OBSESSED with CherryCola since I first read @girlishwhimsies posts (their a genius btw) so enjoy Cherry finding out she's pregnant hcs
Cherry had been feeling really sick everyday that week and was so confused as to why
She explains to Marcia how she's feeling
Marcia’s confused because Cherry has the best immune system in all of Tulsa
Marcia is the one who asks if she thinks she's pregnant
Cherry laughs it off completely thinking its a joke, but she really thinks about it and begins freaking out
Marcia brings Cherry to the doctors and she gets a pregnancy test done
The test takes a 2 weeks to confirm whether she's pregnant or not so everyday Marcia is with Cherry comforting her and making sure she eats and drinks
Cherry ignores Soda’s calls and KINDLY tells him to go away when he knocks on her window in the middle of the night for 2 weeks
Soda’s actually so depressed over this (poor guy needs Cherry)
The doctor calls Cherry to come down to the doctors for her results and obviously she brings Marcia with her
The test is positive and Cherry and Marcia just look at each other
Their both freaking the FUCK out
Cherry just breaks down in Marcias arms
Marcia brings Cherry back to her house while her parents are out
Marcia holds Cherry until she stops crying (she hasn't stopped crying since the doctor told her)
Cherry looks up at Marcia with fear in her eyes as she explains she needs to call Soda and tell him
Marcia leaves but not before telling Cherry that she’ll be there with her through the whole pregnancy no matter what
I will be back to post Soda's reaction sometime today or tmrw

Now that we have CherryChetCola. Can we get include Chet in the CherryCola teen pregnancy au? Like obviously he’s in this relationship what’s his reaction when Cherry tells the both of them she’s pregnant?
okay so first of all, just for clarification, the cherrycola teen pregnancy au is not my au!! @girlishwhimsies came up with it and i am soooo sick and obsessed so i will for sure yap about it but i had to make that clear first lol
- i think she told them separately, but i also don’t know if she knew who’s baby it was. i think she didn’t care and if they found out, then they found out, but they don’t necessarily care either way
- soda, of course, is over the moon, he’s bouncing off the walls, so excited and energized by the news, he is for sure living up her shirt to kiss her belly. my guy is SO HAPPY🥹🫶🏻
- now don’t get me wrong. chet is also very excited, but i think it takes him less time to realize what they’re in for with hiding not only the pregnancy but also their relationship with soda
- he also is a lot more anxious and more aware of where they stand in society and how they have to be careful of how they act around everyone
- hate to be a downer, but they probably have cherry say it’s chet’s.. and even though he’ll never say it, it kinda kills soda that he truly can’t be so touchy or affectionate with her in public anymore

Mar-Bit Babysitting Kat
It was late afternoon at the Curtis house, and Cherry Valance was brushing her fingers through her newborn baby girls red curls that matched hers perfectly. She was reminding herself that she’s making the right choice. It had only been a month and Sodapop and Cherry were both happy for their new bundle of joy but completely and utterly exhausted. Kat had colic, BAD. So a night out was something Cherry only dreamed of— in between Kat’s short sleep windows. But she’d been planning this night out for weeks—her first evening alone with Sodapop since the baby was born—and she was both excited and nervous.
“You sure you’re okay with this, Marcia?” Cherry asked for the third time, her eyes full of concern as she handed over a packed diaper bag. “Babies can be a lot of work.”
Marcia, leaning casually against the kitchen counter, gave Cherry a wide grin and waved her off. “Come on, Cherry, we’ve got this! It’s just one night. Besides, Two-Bit’s been dying to prove he can handle this kind of thing. Right, Two?”
From the living room, Two-Bit Matthews, lounging on the couch with his feet propped up on the coffee table, nodded confidently. “Piece of cake, babe! I’ll have this little peanut laughing her head off before you two even make it to the drive in.”
Cherry bit her lip, still unsure, but Soda came up behind her, placing a reassuring hand on her waist. “They’ll be fine, Cher. We’ve got this night planned, and we deserve it. Kat will be in good hands. Plus, it’s only for a couple of hours.”
Cherry finally exhaled, giving her boyfriend a small smile before leaning down to kiss the baby’s forehead. “Alright, sweetheart, you be good for Uncle Two-Bit and Aunt Marcia, okay?”
Soda, giving Two-Bit a playful punch on the arm, added, “Just don’t let her learn any of your bad habits, man.”
Two-Bit grinned. “No promises.”
With one last look back at Kat, Cherry and Soda finally left the house, and Marcia stood in the kitchen watching them drive off.
“Well,” Marcia said, turning to Two-Bit with a mischievous smile, “looks like it’s just us and the baby now.”
Two-Bit stretched lazily on the couch before standing up and walking over to the crib where Kat lay, still quiet and content. “She’s not even making a peep. I told you, this is gonna be easy.”
Marcia raised an eyebrow. “Uh-huh. Famous last words, Matthews.”
Kat stirred slightly, making a small cooing sound. Two-Bit reached into the crib and gently scooped her up, holding her awkwardly but carefully. “See? She likes me. I’ve got the magic touch.”
Marcia crossed her arms, laughing softly. “Don’t get too cocky. Babies can turn on you in a second.”
Two-Bit smirked. “Nah, not this one. Little Kit-Kat is too sweet for that.”
As if on cue, Kat’s little face scrunched up, and she let out a loud wail, her tiny fists flailing in the air.
Two-Bit’s eyes widened in panic, and he looked at Marcia like he’d just been handed a ticking time bomb. Moving the baby out to an arms distance. He stammered—“Uh... okay, what do we do?”
Marcia stifled a laugh and stepped forward, taking Kat from Two-Bit’s arms. “Let’s see if she needs to be changed first. Diapers are usually the culprit.”
Two-Bit looked visibly relieved as Marcia took control of the situation. She laid Kat down on the changing mat and expertly went through the motions of changing the diaper while Two-Bit stood off to the side, looking slightly out of his depth.
“How do you know how to do all this?” he asked, genuinely curious.
Marcia shrugged. “I’ve babysat before, remember? Besides, it’s not that hard once you get the hang of it.”
Two-Bit crossed his arms, watching with a mixture of awe and confusion as Marcia quickly changed Kat into a fresh diaper. “Yeah, well, good thing you’re here. I’d probably be trying to change her with duct tape or something.”
Marcia laughed, picking Kat up again and cradling her in her arms. “Let’s just say it takes a little more finesse than that.”
Kat had quieted down now, her wide eyes blinking up at Marcia as she yawned. Two-Bit peered over her shoulder, making funny faces at the baby.
“You think she remembers me from all those times I made her laugh?” he asked, his voice playful.
Marcia rolled her eyes. “You’ve known her for like a month, Two.”
“Hey, that’s a lot of time in baby years!” He leaned in closer, sticking his tongue out at the little girl. She stared at him with a look of confusion before finally giving a tiny smile, and Two-Bit grinned like he’d just won a medal. “See? Told you she likes me.”
Marcia shook her head but smiled. “Okay, Mr. Baby Whisperer, let’s see how long that lasts.”
They spent the next hour trading off responsibilities. Marcia took care of most of the practical things—feeding Kat her bottle, making sure she was comfortable in her crib—while Two-Bit kept her entertained with goofy faces, noises, and random jokes. It wasn’t long before the baby started to grow tired, her eyes fluttering as she fought off sleep.
“Looks like she’s getting sleepy,” Marcia said softly, sitting on the couch with Kat resting in her arms.
Two-Bit sat down next to her, looking at the baby with a strange mix of amusement and awe. “Man, it’s weird seeing Soda with a kid. Like, we were just dumb teenagers not that long ago, and now he’s got this whole... family thing.”
Marcia nodded, her voice softer now. “Yeah, it’s kind of crazy. But I think it suits him. He’s good with her.”
Two-Bit smiled, thinking about how much Soda had changed since becoming a dad. “Yeah, he’s a good guy. Always has been. I guess that’s why he makes it look easy.”
Kat stirred slightly in Marcia’s arms, but she didn’t cry. Instead, she just nestled closer, her tiny hands gripping onto Marcia’s blouse.
“You’re not so bad at this yourself,” Marcia said, glancing over at Two-Bit. “For someone who’s never babysat before, I mean.”
Two-Bit gave her a cheeky grin. “Hey, what can I say? I’m a quick learner. Besides, Kit-Kat’s not so tough. I could handle another hour, no problem.”
As the evening wore on, the house grew quiet. Kat finally drifted off to sleep in her crib, and Marcia and Two-Bit sat together on the couch, talking in low voices so as not to disturb her.
When Cherry and Sodapop finally returned, looking refreshed and happy from their night out, they were met with the sight of a peacefully sleeping baby girl and two very proud babysitters.
“How’d it go?” Cherry asked, her eyes full of gratitude.
Marcia smiled, standing up from the couch. “It went great. She’s a little angel.”
Two-Bit gave a dramatic sigh, leaning back. “Told ya I had it under control.”
Soda clapped him on the shoulder. “Thanks, man. We owe you one.”
“Just don’t make me change any diapers next time,” Two-Bit joked, his grin wide. “That’s Marcia’s department.”
Cherry laughed, her eyes softening as she looked at her sleeping daughter. “We’re so lucky to have you both. Really, thank you.”
As Soda and Cherry tucked Kat into bed and the house returned to its usual quiet, Two-Bit and Marcia exchanged a knowing glance.
“Guess we didn’t do so bad after all,” Two-Bit said with a wink.
Marcia smiled, nudging him playfully. “Not bad, greaser.”
With the night winding down, and Kat sound asleep, it was clear that babysitting wasn’t quite the disaster Two-Bit had expected. In fact, he might even say he had fun.

btw I joke book soda’s a virgin and that there’s text evidence to back the theory (you can find text evidence of anything if you try hard enough and over explain yourself to be fair) but musical soda & sandy’s story actually makes me want to cry. especially if you look at it like if she didn’t cheat and her mother didn’t give her a choice. because you know he would’ve supported her no matter what she wanted to do but it was never an option and then she was gone

Imagine Darrel Curtis not wanting kids after Ponyboy and Sodapop.
Imagine, Darrel Curtis, the spitting image of a once amazing father, all the right qualifications to parent a kid just fine, the image of masculinity, not wanting kids.
In the 1960’s no less, a time where the perfect American dream idealistic family was on the rise, and fast. The thought that you were put on this earth to have a happy and successful life, and the way to do that is to have a family. Be a father, or a mother. Raise a child.
When Darrel’s parents die he realizes that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
He’s shopping for groceries when he first realizes how much of a hastle it must be. He’s deciding what to buy, what will cost less to support his brothers when he sees a woman, much older than him, cradling a baby on her hip and a toddler crying behind her. ‘What a hastle..’ he thinks to himself. She’s holding two things in her hands, then reluctantly places one back on the shelf.
He realizes, that’s exactly what he’d just done.
Next it’s a dad at the park, at that small field he and the gang play football. He’s playing catch with his son, throwing a baseball back and forth with it landing firmly in their gloves.
He’s picking up the football tossing it around in his hands because Ponyboy had just left him to go talk to that Shepard kid he just saw walk in.
The father catches the ball one last time before the kid shouts at him, the father gives him a thumbs up as the kid discards the gloves and runs to go hang out with another group of boys.
He realizes, that’s exactly what just happened to him.
Finally, the mother and father with the two twins, a boy and a girl. They look fed up as the two pre-teens bicker in the middle of a parking lot. They’re fighting over the seat of the car they get to sit in, who called shot gun.
They completely disregarded their father who was already climbing into the front seat to sit next to his wife as the argument started. The husband and wife look at each other in annoyance.
He turns back to his truck to find Two-Bit with his feet on the dash, and a distraught looking Ponyboy and annoyed Sodapop in the back seat.
He turns back to the family, choosing to ignore the gang. The mother and father look like they’ve gone through this before, and they’re just about tired of it.
He realizes— things don’t change when you get ‘the dream.’
It’ll always be the same.
He won’t be happier struggling to afford groceries with kids when he already does that.
He won’t be happy being under appreciated by his son, because he already is.
He won’t be happy with petty arguments all the time, because there already are.
He’s not happy like this, he didn’t choose this. And if he had— he still wouldn’t be.

The Gang's Reactions (Teen Dad AU)
Darry
Darry is both shocked and not shocked. He knew that Sodapop was mad for Sandy, having proclaimed that he wanted to marry her one day. It didn’t surprise him that Sandy had gotten pregnant, and it didn’t surprise him when it was Sodapop’s… was he upset about this? Absolutely he was. He actually yelled at Sodapop (when Ponyboy decided that Kimberly, him, and Johnny needed to go to the store and Dally and Two-Bit decided to go with… Thinking back, Darry thought that Ponyboy could feel the tension between Darry and Sodapop and decided to bail and take Kimberly with him). Darry absolutely adores Kimberly though, and while he silently thinks that Sodapop had thrown his life away by accidentally getting Sandy pregnant. He also hates that Sandy abandoned Sodapop with baby Kimberly… he loves Kimberly though, she’s such a sweet little thing and a surprisingly easy baby. He also has to sometimes stop and just watch because it almost felt like Sodapop had matured overnight, or more so right in front of his eyes. Sodapop may not have known that Sandy had been pregnant, or why she had just… left afterwards without much more of an explanation, nevermind not even saying any of it to his brother’s face, but he really took to taking care of Kimberly. Darry was also surprised at how Sodapop just soaked up all the information and advice that he had to give.
Two-Bit
Two-Bit would be the first to admit out loud that he thought that he himself would be the first with a kid. It wouldn’t have surprised him, and when he did say this, voice sounding like he was joking even though he was fully serious, the gang laughed. He is the first outside of the Curtis brothers to hold her, cooing at her and tickling her sides a little bit as everyone talked. Johnny was sticking to his side, also cooing over Kimberly. Ten minutes later she was crying ‘cause she wanted her dad again, and Two-Bit handed her over quickly, scared that he’d hurt her somehow. He didn’t, and was quickly reassured that she just really likes being held by Sodapop. He has a deep seated fear of being like his father; and he resolves to stop drinking for Kimberly and the gang. He makes that decision seeing how happy Kimberly was in her dad’s arms; and wasn’t that a thought. Sodapop a dad. Two-Bit was struggling with the thought of it, despite looking at the scene in front of him. He vowed to always do his best so that he could at least attempt to be a good role model for Kimberly (even if she would have good models in Darry, and Pony, and Johnny, and Steve too… maybe).
Dally
Dally had to actually stop and stare at the baby in Sodapop’s arms for a hot minute, trying to connect the fact that the baby was Sodapop’s and not just some prank being pulled. The eyebags under the three brother’s eyes told him that it was very much not a prank being pulled on him. He had bets on Two-Bit being the first one of them to be a parent given how often he claims to have brought a broad home. Maybe Steve, since he’d heard that Evie had been more ‘touchy’ with Steve within the last few months, courtesy of Sodapop for telling him that. He also wasn’t sure what to think of the tiny infant, and freaked out the first time he’d held her. He’d been talking with Johnny, and Dally is pretty sure that Sodapop was trying to hand her to Johnny or Ponyboy because of a panic about having to get ready for work, and she’d ended up in Dally’s arms instead. He’d panicked and froze for a good second before he snapped to attention and readjusted his hold on her so that she was more comfortable. Sodapop came back out once he was ready for work and was so apologetic… Sodapop went to work without little Kimberly, because Dally would not give her back.
Steve
Steve… wasn’t sure what to think. He’d shut down when he first found out that Sandy had been pregnant, but he’d also known that Sandy was cheating on Sodapop, courtesy of Evie finding out and telling him. He wasn’t sure that the baby was Sodapop’s. He didn’t say anything, but he stayed quiet and kept his distance. He could see the pain in Sodapop’s eyes, could feel himself hurting by not being there next to Sodapop, or even attempting to hold Kimberly. At some point he’d slipped out without really being noticed. He stormed off in anger only when he was far enough from the house, going to find Evie to ask the chances of the baby being Sodapop’s. He stays away from the Curtis house for a few days, trying to sort out his own thoughts and feelings, he’d even avoided Sodapop while at work as much as it pained him to do so. It took him a while to realize he was scared of losing Sodapop, and that the fear stemmed from Sodapop having to be a single dad (even if he had his brothers and the gang). He ends up going to Sodapop, who had brought Kimberly to work with him that day, and pulled them into the breakroom and word vomiting to Sodapop. They both cried. Kimberly cried. Steve held her for the first time, and… yeah, he was as smitten with the little girl as much as Sodapop was.
Johnny
Johnny was surprised that out of everyone, it was Sodapop that got a girl pregnant first. Johnny had bets on Steve or Two-Bit, like Dally. Not that the two ever voiced those bets to anyone or anywhere but their own minds. He thought Kimberly was adorable, and he was often wanting to hold her while the rest of the boys were doing anything because he couldn’t really join them; him being in a wheelchair and all. Kimberly loves laying in his arms sometimes, because Johnny didn’t need to move much; Ponyboy and Dally were always willing to push his chair so that his arms were free to let him do whatever he wanted. Johnny thinks Kimberly is adorable, and was the first person to get her a stuffed animal; a small yellow duck… though ‘small’ was small to him. It was nearly the same size as Kimberly (she was a tiny baby). He was also always willing to babysit her when winter break ended for Ponyboy, he’d been living at the Curtis house since he was released from the hospital, so that Sodapop could work like normal.
Ponyboy
Ponyboy wasn’t sure what to think about Sodapop getting ‘his girl’ pregnant, and was pissed when he found out that she left him and the little girl. Ponyboy wasn’t sure what to think of the baby either. He was pretty quiet the following couple days after Kimberly was left with them. Sodapop was honestly scared that Ponyboy was upset, he wasn’t, he just wasn’t sure what to think or how to feel. After a while, he gets used to Kimberly and her presence in the house and the shifted dynamics in the family. He also hides his nightmares from his brothers who are worried more about the infant and appointments for her at the hospital and how they were going to afford it; He and Johnny went and got secret jobs at a bookstore, it was accessible for Johnny and Ponyboy loves books, so that they (Ponyboy) could help with necessities. (Sodapop cried because he didn’t want that for Ponyboy, and Darry made Ponyboy swear that he wasn’t using more than half a paycheck to help them) Ponyboy also likes drawing Johnny in his chair holding Kimberly.

Sodapop Finds Out
Here's pt 2 of the CherryCola Teen Pregnancy AU
Cherry calls Soda to come over to her house
Soda’s so excited because he hasn't seen Cherry in 2 weeks so he’s so excited to see her but also confused as to why she’s been ignoring him for 2 weeks
Soda arrives around 9:30 pm and climbs up a tree to get to Cherrys window, he looks in the window and just sees Cherry sitting on her bed curled up in a little ball (so that got him worried)
He knocks on her window spooking her a little bit
Cherry lets him in and he tries to pull her in for a hug and kiss but she can barely look at him
He sits her down on the couch and just holds her hand and asks her what's wrong
Cherry straight up tells Soda, no sugar coating
Soda is calm and comforts Cherry immediately, hiding his own fear (he is also freaking the FUCK out)
Soda holds Cherry for hours as she cries into him and they just talk about how scared they are and what their gonna do
Cherry falls asleep in Sodas arms and Soda just watches her sleep thinking about the fact that there's a baby in her and that he's gonna be a parent without any parents
Soda sneaks out of Cherry's house around 6:00 am kissing Cherry on the forehead and hops out her window hoping no one sees him
He gets home before Pony or Darrel wake up so he immediately locks himself in the bathroom and just breaks down
Pt 3 is a REAL LONG ONE so be prepared for that (I have pt 3-5 ready)
Lmk any suggestions yall may have

yall, @girlishwhimsies cherrycola teen parents au has been rotting my brain for the past week and i could not rest until i wrote s o m e t h i n g on it (i’m so serious it’s 1:24am and i just finished writing this lmao)
here’s kat waking up in the middle of the night and soda being the best dad 😚
it felt like she was getting more and more mobile by the day. she was feeding herself and most of the food ended up in her mouth now, she was able to take off her clothes by herself, which she gladly did at every chance she got. she had been getting adventurous for weeks, even going as far as climbing into johnny’s wheelchair while he was on the couch with pony. cherry and soda knew it was only a matter of time before kat would be able to get herself out of her crib, so they finally bit the bullet and started looking for a toddler bed.
kat must have known something was up, because she was escaping from her crib a few days later. they knew the transition would be rough, but that didn’t make it any easier when their two-year-old was sitting on top of soda and anxiously shaking him awake at three in the morning.
soda rolled onto his back, just catching kat before she could fall off his hip and onto cherry, who was still fast asleep. he sat up, setting her in his crossed legs and holding her face in his hands. she’d managed to get out of her pajamas, go figure, and was definitely worked up about something. she blinked and soda felt a tear hit his thumb.
“jailbreak, huh?” soda whispered. she sniffled quietly, and soda knew what was coming. he scooped her up and carried her out into the hall quickly before she could start crying and wake up cherry.
“alright, kit-kat, what’s got you all upset? was it another bad dream?” he asked her sleepily, but she didn’t answer. instead, her bottom lip quivered and she wrapped her little arms around soda’s neck, starting to properly cry.
he walked with her into the living room, rubbing her back and bouncing her lightly, letting her cry it out, “i know, baby, it’s okay, dada’s right here.”
he pulled his shirt off to do some skin to skin with her, hoping it would help her calm down, and grabbed one of her blankets and wrapped it around her to keep her warm. it took her a little while, but her cries finally subsided to sniffles and whimpers. soda sat down on the couch, kat laying over his chest, his heart breaking looking into her big brown eyes full of tears.
“you wanna tell me what happened?” he asked, brushing back some of her wild red curls. she definitely had the vocabulary to answer him, but she didn’t always want to talk when she wake up in the night. she pouted her bottom lip out again and shook her head. soda whispered, “no words tonight? that’s okay. we can just cuddle.”
he knew it was probably just a dream that spooked her a little bit, but it still broke his heart clean in two when she snuggled up with him, still crying softly.
“you know,” he whispered into her hair, pressing a quick kiss to her forehead. “uncle pony sometimes gets bad dreams, too. they used to spook him pretty bad, but he’s much better now. he’s just got a huge imagination, like you. but the doctor says it’s why he’s so dang smart. and you know what? you’re gonna be just as smart as him and your mama, you know that?”
he kept on talking to her until her breathing evened out and he knew she was asleep. he slowly stood up and carried her back to their room, the blanket still tucked around her.
when soda turned around after closing the door behind him, cherry was sitting up in the bed.
“not you, too,” he smiled at her.
“was she crying? you have work in the morning, i could have gotten her…” she yawned, and immediately cringed as kat started fussing in soda’s arms.
cherry held out her arms and soda passed kat off to her, flopping down next to them in the bed. she cradled their baby in her arms and soda watched in awe as cherry calmed her back down in moments.
“that’s right, sweetheart, you can sleep, mama’s here, dada’s here, we love you so so much, we’ll keep you safe, you can sleep.”
it was only a few minutes before kat was dozing off against cherry, still wrapped up in her blanket. she looked over at soda, her eyebrows raised playfully, “she really doesn’t like staying in her pajamas, does she?”
“i guess not,” soda smiled, laying down next to them, rubbing cherry’s knee where she was sitting up next to him.
“i guess neither of you do,” she giggled, reaching over and gently shoving his bare shoulder. “was she crying? did i sleep through it again?”
“nah, she woke me up,” soda shook his head. “just a bad dream i think, it was nothing.”
cherry nodded and carefully scooted down, setting kat between them.
“you think we’ll ever sleep through the night again?” cherry asked softly, twirling one of kat’s ringlets around her index finger.
“maybe,” soda whispered. “but i bet one day we’ll be crazy enough to miss this.”
cherry hummed in agreement, her eyelids already drooping.
soda pressed a kiss to her head, “she’s staying with us?”
“mm, just this once,” cherry mumbled.
part of soda didn’t believe for a second this would be a one time thing, but he was happy to let it slide. exhaustion taking over, they fell asleep with their baby sandwiched between them, one of soda’s fingers clutched in her hand.

ILOVE THEM SO BAD YALL DONT GET IT 😭 THEY MEAN THE WORLD TO ME THEY DESERVE HAPPINESS.
