Jiamod Tedal Personal Log:

Today, I found out that my bridge crew and I have not been on a ghostship as I’ve secretly believed. There are in fact people wandering around, doing their work. I visited Engineering, Sickbay, I even had a chat with the Chef in the Lounge and the Bartender. I also found the Counsellor – but that was more of an accident. I took a wrong turn and barrelled into her. There might be reason why they say ‘no running’ in the hallways.

And now that I’ve discovered all that, I got a promotion and another ship #sigh I should have seen that one coming. Well, I did see the new ship coming I just didn’t know I’d get promoted again so fast. First thing I did was of course promoting my classmates and Gelca. Anyway, we’re now in the process of settling in on the Safforres 2, a fine heavy duty Stargazer, and then we’re off to the Haakone System.

I should note that I also got my first four duty officers. But only by some lucky whim since I can’t get regular officers yet due to my botched diplomatic mission – the one and only mission I declined so far. The four haven’t been with us for long yet, but I already heard rumours about a chu chu party and choruses of ‘Lower Decks, Lower Decks’. I might need to keep an eye on Mariner, Tendi, Rutherford and Boimler

The mission in the Haakone System was basically just a chat. But the new one is close to Deep Space 9. It’s the first time, I’m close enough to take a peek and you bet I’m going to take a look around!

Al and Ted "honeymoon"?

“Is that really all you have got?” Ted teased with a grin.

“Sure you want to find out?” Al grinned back at him.

“Might make this finally get interesting.”

Al ducked under the next punch Ted sent and got close to Ted. Grabbing him by the shirt he shoved the taller man hard and knocked him to the ground; Al landing on top of him.

Ted had the wind knocked out of him. But Al still took the opportunity to pin him by his forearms.

It was a clear victory for Al.

Once he caught his breath, Ted couldn't help but start laughing.

It was a bit contagious. Al gently squeezed Ted's forearms in his grip before asking, “What's so funny, Cat?”

“The look on your face! You look like the cat that caught a canary.” He raised an eyebrow. “But you caught a cat. So what do you plan on doing with it?“

Al let out a laugh. ”I might have a few ideas.“

Next thing either of them knew they were kissing. Ted pulled against Al's hands; wanting to touch him. But Al's atomic strength held him firmly.

So Ted did what he could. Raising his head to kiss Al hard.

Their relationship was in an early stage. Some would call it a honeymoon time. But Ted wasn't concerned about that.

What he was concerned with was biting Al's bottom lip in a way he knew would make him gasp. Letting Ted slip his tongue into his mouth.

Hopefully that would be enough of a distraction that he could-

It was. Ted used Al's loss of focus to roll them over so Ted was on top. A bit awkward with Al still having the grip on his forearms.

But Ted didn't mind lying on the smaller man.

Based on how Al pulled out of the kiss to laugh again, Al didn't mind the switch either.

Still he would have to fight to keep it. He almost missed Al's legs tensing as Al prepared to roll them back over.

The warning wasn't enough to stop Al from getting back on top. The Mighty Mite apparently deciding that it was a good use of his atomic strength that day.

Ted couldn't help but grin into the next kiss. The atomic strength might give Al an unfair advantage, but when Al decided to use it it made things very fun.

Still. Ted wasn't the sort of cat to just lie down and let himself be kissed. He wanted to give Al as good as he took.

So it shouldn't have surprised Al when Ted pulled out of the kiss, seeming to just need to catch his breath.

Al's grip relaxed slightly. And that was just enough for Ted to yank his hands free. One going to Atom's side and the other into his bright red hair and pulling gently.

Ted took Al's small groan as a good sign and rolled them back over with Al on his back.

The hand on Al's waist moved to the closest of Al's own hands. In Ted's opinion it was a nicer way to pin someone if you were going to kiss them.

Al didn't seem inclined to disagree. Simply holding Ted's hand back.

The new position did leave Al with one hand free.

Based on the fact that Al was using it to grip onto the front of Ted's shirt it was fairly clear he hadn't given up on the idea of rolling Ted onto his back again.

That wasn't in the front of Ted's mind though.

What was was thinking of how to suggest they move to somewhere more comfortable.

The mats weren't that bad. But if this went where Ted thought it might a bed would be much better.

While Ted was distracted thinking of how to bring that up, Al picked up on him not focusing on the moment and rolled them over again.

He had a different idea how this should end.

Pulling both of his hands free he pushed his fingers against Ted's sides. Tickling him out of his thoughts.

It was unexpected enough that Ted had to laugh. Then he couldn't stop because Al just kept tickling him. Running his fingers up his sides and looking for the most sensitive places.

Ted tried wiggling away. But Al was using all of his atomic strength to keep him still until Al decided he was done.

It took a few minutes, until Ted had his eyes squeezed shut with tears he was laughing so hard, but finally Al pulled away to just straddle Ted.

Ted took a few deep breaths. A few laughs escaping from aftershocks. Then he finally blinked his eyes clear.

He was wrong before. This was what Al looked like when he was the cat that caught the canary.
