C - Cuddles [do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?]

gosh, ted would love to cuddle you - in private, mostly. on the very rare occasion that the both of you are hanging out with friends and you’re both tired out of your minds, you’ll get pretty affectionate and touchy with one another. at movie nights with friends, too, depending on the seating arrangement. it’s cute when ted’s sleepy because sometimes he’ll just pull you into his lap and pretty much wrap himself around you no matter who or how many people are around.

the part that ted likes most about cuddles is holding you. cuddling during movie nights is a must for him, just a simple way to hold you and cuddle you without being overwhelmingly affectionate. i feel like having affection be the only thing he was able to focus on [e.g. only cuddling without extra stimuli like a movie playing or cooking or something] would be a little overwhelming for him. when he cuddles you, he likes tucking you into that space beneath his chin so that he can rest it on your head - still see what’s going on and all that good stuff. he also loves playing with your hair during!! sometimes he’ll braid it [really badly, but he’ll still braid it]! also likes spooning because it’s almost like an assurance that he’s not distracting you too bad if you’re in the middle of something. like yeah, he’s absolutely wrapped himself around you, but your work is still accessible so he doesn’t feel too bad about it.

D - Domestic [do they want to settle down? how are they with cooking and cleaning?]

ted definitely 100% no doubt about it strikes me as the type of guy that wants to settle down at some point. he’s definitely a pretty decent cook and he likes trying new recipes! he also loves cooking for large groups of people [like have you seen his cooking videos where he takes what he’s made to his friends to try /pos]. and whenever he cooks something and you eat it and tell him that it’s good or how much you like it, he gets to smiley and proud. he also seems like a pretty clean guy - one of those dudes that vacuums his house every other week and has a specific place for everything, and he’s definitely super good about taking out the trash.

G - Gentle [how gentle are they? physically and emotionally]

absolutely tender with you. doesn’t by any means treat you like you’re fragile, but he’s just soft with you. sure, he bullies you every now and then. play fights with you and bits with you and blushes when you indulge in his aggression for the cameras, so you do get a little physical sometimes. but you feel it when he holds your face, fingertips barely pressing into your skin and smiling at you before he gives you the most tender kiss. he’ll pick you up and throw you over his shoulder and throw you down on the couch, but afterwards he’ll sit and cuddle with you. hold you against his chest, chin resting on your head as he combs through your hair or traces mindless patterns into your skin while you guys are watching some daytime tv garbage.

and emotionally? ted seems to be really emotionally closed off in front of the cameras, but behind closed doors he likes to be as honest with you as he can. obviously that doesn’t mean every single emotion run wild, but he won’t hide his shit from you. he has a pretty thick skin when it comes to jokes and stuff like that, but he’ll definitely step in and stand up for himself - or you, if need be - if it gets somewhere that feels like it’s crossing a line. he’s also a sucker for sad movies, but other than that he’s pretty tame.

J - Jealousy [how jealous do they get? how do they act when they’re jealous?]

while not being super jealous, ted definitely strikes me as the jealous type. it takes a very specific situation to make him jealous since he’s so secure in your guys’ relationship, but he can be really intimidating when he’s jealous. not to you, of course! he’d expend every resource in his power to keep you from getting uncomfortable. but whoever he’s jealous of, they’ll know. it’s usually the people who don’t take the hints you’re dropping when you want to be left alone, the people who are uncomfortable forward with you, or the people that wait for ted to go get you something to swoop in and “shoot their shot.” ted will come over and lay the passive aggression on thick, all big smiles and an arm snug around your shoulders. he’ll give you a little smooch on the temple before pointing at them and asking, “so who’s your new friend, honey?” if he got even the slightest hint that you were uncomfortable, he’d start making moves to get them away, all “hey buddy, i think it’s time for you to go; we’ve got shit to do.” not super quick to fight anyone, but he’ll do anything to defend you if someone’s being a little too stubborn.

M - Mornings [how are mornings spent with them?]

during the week, i can see you guys having really productive mornings; ted seems like the type of guy that likes waking up early and getting things done. he’ll usually set his alarm for around 8 or 9 in the morning [depending on when he goes to bed]. then you both get up and do the morning things and get dressed - it’s usually all very playful too. like, y’all definitely make faces at each other when you’re brushing your teeth or lightheartedly elbow one another out of the way for room in the mirror. or he’ll ask you to pass him that one shirt from the closet and you throw at at his face. then he tackles you onto the bed and absolutely showers you with kisses and it’s just toothrottingly sweet. if you have the day off, he’ll make you stay in bed to just be cozy and bring in your breakfast after getting ready.

weekend mornings are an entirely different story. first off, on the weekends ted lets himself sleep in. it’s much nicer than waking up to a blaring alarm at 8am. when you wake up, you’re tangled together in a mess of cozy limbs. usually, the sun has already risen, golden rays peering in around the shades of your windows. and you let each other wake up, playing with each other’s hair or tracing patterns into one another’s skin, all smiley and half-asleep and soft. y’all typically sit there for an hour or so just scrolling through your phones before you decide to brush your teeth and have breakfast. and it’s all super sleepy and soft - hugging and swaying and being playful in the kitchen while you guys whip up some waffles before putting something on tv and eating breakfast on the couch.

P - Patience [how easily do they get angry?]

it would be really angry to make ted truly angry. he definitely comes off as the type of guy that’s had a lot of practice in controlling his emotions. sure, he acts a little angry sometimes for bits for the camera, but in real life he doesn’t usually let his feelings get the best of him. like any human, he probably has a decent amount of explosive moments, but he cares too much about you to just let himself go off on you. the issue would have to be really serious for him to actually get angry with you. he does everything he’s supposed to though: makes sure he understands the situation, takes his time to cool off before coming back to work things out, makes sure that he’s listening to you and not just paying attention to his own feelings. and you both put the effort to work things out when one of you gets upset.

Q - Quizzes [how much do they remember about their s/o? do they remember every detail, or do they forget everything?]

seeing as ted cares so much about you, he’ll probably remember a lot of your favorite things. for example, favorite movie, favorite book, favorite band, favorite restaurant, etc. and he’ll remember a lot of obscure things too - like the way you don’t like wearing converse because you feel like they squish your feet, or how you always get a bowling ball one size bigger than you’re supposed to because you’re afraid of your fingers getting stuck, or how sometimes you forget to tie your hoodie strings together when you wash your sweaters and then you have to figure out how to thread it back through. and, if he doesn’t think he’ll remember it and he thinks it might come in handy to know for the future, he’ll write it down. he has a whole document in his notes app dedicated to obscure information about you. and it’s all probably stuff like your mom’s birthday, or the name of your first dog, or that random movie that scared the shit out of you as a kid, or the name of that ice cream shop you mentioned wanting to try a few months ago. he’s very attentive and would use all of this stuff to pull out all the stops on your anniversaries or if you were having a particularly bad day.

A - Affection [how affectionate are they? how do they show they care?]

ted is casually affectionate. if he’s “too affectionate,” he feels like he’s smothering you and that doesn’t vibe super well with him. so he’s very lightly affectionate with you a lot of the time. always with an arm around your shoulder or a hand holding yours. offers his arm for you to link with when you guys are out and about. likes that it feels like a subtle way of reminding you that he’s there.

definitely way more affectionate in private, though. he really likes having you around, so it’s like the whole always touching you in some way but more intense. lots of him just having limbs touching you because he doesn’t like being apart from you - like having his foot in your lap when you’re sitting on the couch together or sitting on the floor beside your chair when you’re working and leaning his head against your leg while you work. and he totally strikes me as a guy that has separation anxiety from his partner. like, he won’t panic or anything if you’re not around, but he definitely doesn’t like being apart from you.

I - I love you [how fast would they say ‘i love you’?]

i mean, he definitely wouldn’t say it too soon. sure, ted seems like the kind of guy that would try be all cool and suave in a relationship, but in reality he’s super soft and emotionally invested in the emotional connection he’s built with his partner. that being said, i think he would want to say it for a really long time, but he’d hold off because he’d be afraid of “scaring you off.” that being said, i think he’d say it around the 1 year mark if you didn’t first - honestly, probably an awkward amount of time after your one year since he’s deliberately trying so hard not to say it.

K - Kisses [what are their kisses like? where do they kiss their s/o, and where do they like to be kissed?]

HERE WE GO, BOYS /lh

ted would likely be really tender with you, just super soft all around. one of those guys who totally stops what he’s doing and like bends down and holds your face type deal - the kind of guy that kisses you with intention. unless you’re running late for work or y’all see each other in passing and he wants a quick smooch, but those feel like outliers.

ted also isn’t one of those guys that’ll kiss you just to kiss you. like i said before, intention; he’ll kiss you because he means it, not just because you’re a pretty face and he happens to be dating you. that being said, he probably wouldn’t give you a kiss on the lips in front of other people just because he knows it’s the type of thing both of you would get teased about. mouth kisses are reserved for behind the scenes /lh. all his other kisses are just as soft and meaningful.

obviously he likes kisses right on the smacker, but those are reserved for alone time. aside from that, i can totally see him being a forehead/cheek kiss kind of guy. the likelihood of him being taller than you is Huge, i mean the man is like 6′4, so i can see him really enjoying coming up to you and resting his arms on your shoulders and leaning down to give you a forehead kiss. i can see him doing like hand kisses too, and kissing you on the temple when you’re cuddling or laying in bed.

as for him, i think he would really like forehead kisses. now, hear me out. since he’s so tall, and you’re likely shorter than him, you have to get him to stop whatever he’s doing so he can stoop down a little bit just so you can kiss his forehead. and you’d lean up on your tiptoes [probably even if you aren’t super short tbh, just because it would be cute and it would feel right] and hold his face oh so gently and kiss his forehead. and you’d do it because you actively wanted to, not just in passing and not just for the sake of it. i think he’d also like kisses on his neck, shoulders, and jaw just because they’d feel so much more intimate and personal. like, you typically don’t go around and kiss just anyone there so, in a way, it would make him feel special :>
