Time passed agonizingly slowly, her fists clenched. Morgan wished she would just pass out, just go unconscious but... She's certain the whisper that feels like a scream in her head is the "monster" the hunter mentioned to her before. The one that would make her kill people, even if she didn't want to.

So she clung to awareness as hard as she could, fighting a losing battle against that inner voice for as long as she possibly could. The knock on her window sends her sitting bolt upright and turning towards the source of the noise with wide eyes and a terrified expression.

She does not recognize the man standing out there. She does not open the door but does roll down the window.

"Oh! Hey -- sorry, I'm just waiting for a friend and I'll be heading out..." If this isn't who she's waiting for, she sure hopes they won't notice all that blood.

She didn't know how she managed to get the keys into the ignition -- or managed to start the car. Pure fucking will to survive was the best guess that she'd ever have for it.

The Miata sped out of there, managing not to take anything on the side of the road out on its way.

She didn't know where she came to a stop in the end. Some side street in a rich neighborhood she wasn't familiar with and she just... stopped the car, resting with her head on the steering wheel with her eyes closed.

Which is how she'll be found -- teeth gritted, trying to fight the encroaching darkness, pain and gnawing thirst.
