As I try my best to get myself out of writing/art block, I thought about one of the many relationship analysis posts that are still at the back of my queue - and thus we may start with our genius bug boys, shall we?

As I had already outlined before, their relationship may not be the most fleshed out compared to other older/younger Chosen Children pairs - but this wonderful moment in particular is, in my opinion, still enough for us to speculate on how their bond may develop. It's Senpai!Koushirou at his very best, taking the still very distraught Ken under his wing, reassuring and comforting him in his own ways - because these two have way more in common than just being smart boys with bug Digimon partners.

While their set-ups are being focused on in very different ways, their arcs are both defined by trying to be more casual, natural with the people close to them due to identity-and-family-related trauma. While Koushirou buried himself in his laptop and knowledge gathering to avoid thinking about himself and his potential whereabouts for being adopted, struggling with social interactions, Ken was dragged into the world of the dark ocean after the death of his brother, getting corrupted in the process and committing horrifying actions, thus feeling unworthy of being redeemed and befriended for a long, long time. One might argue that, if it wasn't for two certain goggle boys reaching their hands out to them, they may have never found the courage to become confident in their abilities, using their intellect for the good and the sake of their friends and families, letting their natural kindness shine through eventually...

And in the same vein, I feel like Koushirou, by the time of 02, had to become the person he is there first to be able to reach out to Ken himself, so Ken could move on to reach out to the others as well. Even if he may not have been consciously aware of it, he (besides Yamato, Takeru and Hikari) was probably among the people who could relate to Ken the most - and thus, treated him with kindness.

Unfortunately, we never really see them interact directly after that again, even though Koushirou did try his best to integrate Ken into the team despite everything he had done. So long story short - we at least know there is a peaceful, trusting and kind foundation between them.

Whether I think why and how they’d work.

In case you haven't noticed how I talked about them above, I would absolutely love for these two to be closer with each other. My assumption is that the creators of Digimon tried to avoid putting them together too blatantly, because they may be way too powerful in figuring out everything on their own. I also don't believe that there would be any kind of competitive spirit between these two - in fact, Ken has quite the tendency to play himself down and canonically confirms that "if Koushirou-san can't figure this out, how are we supposed to?", implying that he is also still looking up greatly to his senpai. I think they could be quite knowledge bombs due to their natural curiosity in different fields, with Koushirou being more accustomed to the technical and theoretical side of things, whereas Ken may have more knowledge outside of that. They're both the voices of reasons in their respective groups - and may also need a little time-out every now and then to settle down, enjoy some quiet time by themselves (and with each other) after being exposed to the shenanigans their friends come up with.

This may be more of a dub-only thing, but - I could actually imagine them having fun at quiz nights and despite being the smartest people in the room, would always be the least competitive about it (especially when Miyako and Daisuke are with them), because they could just talk about their gathered findings for hours without end. Nobody else could follow their train of thought at this point, but that's okay, because they just enjoy theorizing together.

Whether I’d prefer them as platonic or romantic ship.

Overall, I think they would work better on a platonic basis, mainly because they're both people who need other people with outgoing energy levels as complementary forces to pull them out of their shells as romantic partners. But again, I believe they could be amazing friends to each other, a safe haven so to speak.

SIDE 2D: ROUND 1: Bowser (Super Mario)/Dr. Eggman (Sonic) VS Beastman (Masters of the Universe)/Lifeweaver (Overwatch 2)

Propaganda for Beastman/Lifeweaver:

Okay, this crossover ship is brand spanking new because Lifeweaver's character was only released 6 days ago, but- Okay, so, Lifeweaver used to attend the Academy owned by the Vishkra Corporation until he went backpacking around the world and saw all the damage to the planet that was being done in the name of corporate greed and global control. Lifeweaver left Vishkra and joined Overwatch to "heal the world". He is a support character with healing abilities and a floral/plant-based aesthetic. Beastman used to be Skeletor's most loyal minion until Skeletor died in the first episode of Revelation. Beastman then made it his life's mission to protect Evil-Lyn whom had been Skeletor's lover and second-in-command. He is loyal to Lyn to a fault and at the end of Revelation, Beastman allows Lyn to turn him into a more animal-like beast, then he's almost immediately flung off a cliff and assumed dead. Beastman was done dirty by the narrative and is in need of physical and spiritual healing. Lifeweaver is a healer who wants to personally save everything. Lifeweaver could show Beastman that life is worth living without having to submit his service to a master, he could live for himself according to his own will. Beastman can teach Lifeweaver the follies of devoting too much of yourself to a singular purpose or ideal and that he needs to set aside time for himself and his own needs. They complete each other. Also, Lifeweaver/Beastman would be plant-animal solidarity.

Animal/plant solidarity, beauty and the beast aesthetic, they just complete each other, okay???

mutual support's the name of the game, my friend! Beastman is fiercely loyal even to the point of his own destruction. In MotU:R he's so loyal to Evil-Lyn that he allows her to turn him into a were-creature to fight for her, then he died. But at every step and beat of their relationship, Beastman was always supportive of Lyn, both physically in battle and also emotionally when they were both putting up with Skeletor's abuse. He even calls Lyn out when she continues the cycle of abuse after Skeletor is deposed. He is an emotionally strong man who's not afraid to show his vulnerable side. Lifeweaver is a new character from Overwatch 2 and we don't technically know a lot about him just yet. The canon facts we do know are that he used to attend the Vishkar Academy, but dropped out. He then went backpacking around the world and witnessed first hand how the corporate greed of the Vishkar corporation was killing the planet. He used his Academy training to develop the bio-light technique he uses to be a healer and support fighting in battle. But he's also a Thai Buddhist who believes in healing over destruction and believes that anyone can change, and learn, and grown if given the opportunity. Beastman and Lifeweaver are soulmates, places in different franchises because they would be too powerful together.

When Beastman makes his first appearance in the series, he charges on the scene to protect Evil-Lyn (whom is a mage with long white hair). Over the course of the series it becomes apparent that his loyalty to Lyn is more than just simple friendship, but she's obviously not into him so Beastman is content to stay by her side as her friend and protector. When Evil-Lyn goes back to Skeletor, Beastman follows her. When Skeletor resume manipulating and abusing Lyn, Beastman is there to remind her of her value as a person and tell her that she's deserves better than Skeletor. When Evil-Lyn defeats Skeletor and takes over Caste Grayskull from him, Beastman is the voice of reason that calls Lyn out on continuing Skeletor's cycle of abuse. Beastman truly loved Lyn and wanted her to be happy, healthy, alive, and the best version of herself even if she wasn't with him. But, Evil-Lyn turned him into some kinda even more beastly beast-monster and sends him out to die in battle for her. Now, enter Lifeweaver from Overwatch 2. Lifeweaver is a scientist who created a kind of living light technique to heal his comrades in battle. To Beastman, this technology would appear like magic. Lifeweaver would appear like a mage, and he has long white hair. Lifeweaver would remind Beastman of all the good things about Lyn, but Lifeweaver doesn't have any of her flaws or failings (Lifeweaver's got his own flaws, but this post ain't about that). AND Lifeweaver has never perpetuated the cycle of abuse and, in fact, one of his voice lines is "grow into who you truly are". Lifeweaver would encourage Beastman to grow in ways he never could have on Eternia with Lyn and Skeletor. Lifeweaver could help Beastman to become the best version of himself. Beastman in turn could keep Lifeweaver grounded and not let him become so carried away by his ideals that he forgets where he is in the present. They compete each other.

(There is so much more; but I actually don't think I'll be able to fit ALL of it in here; this might be the ship in the tournament with the MOST propaganda! Mega props to the submitters, I adore your passion!)

You know, one idea I am very much tempted to write a one-shot right now for Dragalia would be the sheer angst back at the Halidom during the Stranded Scions event.

Like. Euden never looks for or is worried about any of his friends, he's there alone with just Chelle, Leonidas, and ultimately Emile. He probably received his invitation alone by Chelle, since luxury things have a strict headcount. He probably wanted to stay at the Halidom, but I'm sure at that point his friends would've been pushing him to take a break from it all for a while, he's earned it-...

...and then words gets back that the ship was sunk by a rogue storm no one saw coming, fates of all royalty aboard unknown. Heck, make it even worse, if someone saw Euden thrown overboard as he recalled here:

Yes, he can fly or swim as a dragon, but only for a certain amount of time. And if he was injured or knocked unconscious at the wrong moment, -which seemingly happened, based on the gap in his consciousness in his narration of the event, -that advantage would've gone right out the window. And taking a tumble from that high would not help the odds of either not occurring as water makes not quite as kind a landing you might believe.

So all they know at best is likely: Euden and some his family was on the ship that sunk. Whatever the general casualty situation of the event since it's never specified, nobody's found their bodies....nor them alive. But they were in the sea in a storm ferocious enough to sink a luxury, state of the art ship.

Can't imagine the panic and guilt when that got back. The frantic efforts to grapple with the idea there's a very good chance Euden is dead with three of his siblings, and their fledgling country now has to try and figure out who can replace him if he's not rescued and soon. The idea that since Emile was a last-minute add-on to the ship, the Dyrenell Empire which was just starting to get stabilized into a more respectable land, is going to be thrown right back into the chaotic power vacuum that lead to Emile's ascent. Leonidas and Chelle, too, as major players in their own rights. That's two (technically three, since Gala Leonidas seems to indicate he's declared his lands 'Alberia' and is thus a ruler of a country in his own right) sovereigns dead, all from the great powers of South Grastea.

The similarly frantic attempts to start organizing searches for Euden and co and all the hope and fear that comes with it as the days drag on without a body. Fear that he survived, but didn't have the resources or know-how to survive on an abandoned island or makeshift raft or wherever he ended up.

As tempting as it is to write, I've a bit too much fic to work on right now since I'm behind on quite a few things!

As a last side note, though, can I just add an oof for Euden since even he's acknowledged he gets no relaxation at any time even when he's trying to? 'First time in a long time' is a small phrase with so much weight when what he is getting for the first time in a while is a 'few peaceful hours'. And then he thinks 'thanks' and immediately summons a storm.

Kageyama Tobio's happy being alone. He's survived this long trusting nothing but his own instinct, and he doesn't want that to change. But when a taciturn noble catches Kageyama breaking into his ship and tries to recruit Kageyama as his pilot, his instinct tells him to say yes. It tells him to say yes again to the sharp, irrepressible off-worlder who ends up taking refuge in their cargo hold after a mission gone wrong. Thrown together by fate, the unlikely trio stumble across a plot which concerns them all — and the fate of their world as they know it. (Or: a prince, a spaceship thief, and a professional wrestler walk into a bar.)

so this is... not my usual fare at all! it's the longest thing i've ever written by over 50% (black nightshade is 14k), it's got an actual plot, and it's got a setting that i had to get roughly right before i could even establish the scale of the plot.

this fic was written for the tobio bowl event, a kageyama-centric ship exchange. my giftee (who seems to have dropped, so this is now a gift for everyone) requested the adlers trio as a ship, a slow burn, and an au, potentially royalty. this is technically a royalty au, in the loosest sense! but that's where i started, trying to work out how to slow burn these three as a ship in a universe outside canon. for me, that immediately suggested very different class and region origins (which is true in canon to some degree), and a crisis which forces them to understand each other.

the rest went from there! here's some art, then some snippets of insight into how i started developing this, taken directly from discord.

so here's the thing right. in an au you make characters recognizable by giving them not just similar temperaments but similar arcs so a) they retain their arcs. b) their arcs must intersect creating the enemies to lovers/slow burn c) they have to start at different places, of course ushijima's arc is always going to be like. respectful, quiet guy in power who hates the social side of things, but who believes wholeheartedly in the goodness of his power and rule -> working out the world is not that simple, finding joy and meaning and color in his life, rising to the challenge of meeting people outside his world i want there to be a power struggle especially since we're doing hurt/comfort and/or enemies to lovers. but like. interpersonal/societal hurt as in most of my fics bc that's what's interesting to me. sometimes the hurt is that the world is broken and the comfort is that you have each other. and enemies to lovers can be the personal betrayal being symptomatic of the bigger hurt

i wrote the fic roughly from march 15 to april 15, so clearly it had over a month to marinate (apart from one scene, the climactic one, which was written first in february!). then it all came together! between april and may i had help from my friend m, who did a wonderful job catching minor plot holes and errors. thank you!! i owe you my life.

and finally, a quick sketch of ushijima, the very first time i put any of them to (digital) paper, bc i saw a photo of a cape (that it turned out one of my friends has sewn???) and was like It's Him. the kageyama (and the fic graphic) came later!

NIGHTMARES!! hi! of course of course, I always love sharing this stuff and talking about it hehe :) I have a TON of stuff developed in my head... I've been wanting to turn some of it into maybe a comic or a fic or something, but haven't really had the time or motivation... maybe someday.

either way, as I talk alot, I predict this is gonna get long, so I'll put it under the cut! yes, I've talked about this before, but no harm in doing it again... I just really like talking lol

so, my self insert, lex, comes from a divine species called stargazers. stargazers are guardians of the universe; their job is to protect and watch over celestial bodies. to keep them out of harm's way, they've developed incredible powers. they're very powerful creatures that are capable of almost anything.

lex... is none of this. and I'm pretty sure that just one single look at him tells you this immediately 😅

he's a dorky little limbless being who can barely even throw a punch. powers? he's got none of those, except for maybe the power to be a cowardly wuss. he's, like, the polar opposite of a mary sue (or gary stu?).

of course, every piece of media needs the character that has the stereotypical amnesia backstory, and that's lex. he's got no idea where he came from, how he ended up in the glade, why he's here... and those are questions that drive him insane. he's got an identity crisis cranked up to 100. all he remembers is that one day he woke up in the glade. that's it. he doesn't know he's technically a supernatural demigod or whatever, and maybe that's for the better... he'd probably freak out if he found out.

due to having never had a need to use his abilities, he never really developed any. and so he considers himself a natural pacifist. he doesn't like fighting, but that may just be because he's too scared to do it... he believes that every conflict can be resolved by talking it out.

despite not knowing who he is or where he came from, he's always felt a deep connection to the stars, and spends most of his time stargazing and just staring up at the night sky while feeling bittersweet and somber.

enter admiral razorbeard, the captain of the robot pirates, who goes on to invade the glade and capture everyone in his way. lex barely has any friends at this point, so he doesn't know this guy is evil. how's he supposed to know? he doesn't pay him much mind, until one day, one of his ships blocks the way of lex's stargazing.

lex, naturally, gets a bit miffed. so he goes to have a word with him... and gets captured in the process. so now he's dealing with both an identity crisis and severe trust issues and paranoia about everyone wanting to cause him harm.

naturally, as we know, this leads to rayman saving the glade as he always does and freeing all of razorbeard's prisoners! and this includes lex.

lex is the final prisoner to be freed by rayman, and the two are immediately intrigued by each other - I don't wanna say it's love at first sight, but there's definitely a spark of something there. fascination? curiosity?

lex is very wary of rayman at first. he barely talks, avoids eye contact, and is just generally on high alert. the only people he's tried to interact with had him imprisoned, so he doesn't exactly trust other people just yet. rayman, of course, understands this. because he's a good guy. and he's more than willing to let lex take his time. but he's determined to make sure this fella feels at home.

As we travel deeper and deeper down the Timekeeper rabbit hole. It about time we cover an agenda, something what I think Cookie Run fandom lacks and needs more of:

TIMEKEEPER👏ANCIENT HERO👏INTERACTIONS!!👏

Oh, the gold mine of opportunities we are sitting on!!

Ok, call me sick, twisted, or whatever. But The Ancient Heroes. . . I like to torture them. . .

Now hear me out!-

I do like seeing them happy, like have you seem polyancient or purelily ship art?! IT'S ADORABLE!!! Sure, the voice in my head says "aww cute", the second, just as loud, voice in head says "I want a ungodly amount of suffering to come to you. . ."

But what can worse than their already going through in the orginal plot? Look no further attention to my AU

To this rant less of an essay: PV and friends accidentally summon Timekeeper, and in order to save not only Earthbread but their overall existence, they have be TK's playthings. The kicker? This takes in the further future of the game, when Dark Enchantress converts back into White Lily, adding more to the pain factor

So what pretell is worse than fighting your best friend or learning your true purpose in life? Why not become the Barbie dolls of a being who can kill you within an instant?!

What's that? They're all technically immoral??? Well strap in folks cause it's a faith worse than death!!!

Going off topic here, I also think their dynamic would be interesting. Think about it: The Ancient Heros, a bunch of old farts who are fresh out of a war, enjoy the simpler things in life, and wanna get into a routine; but Timekeeper is rambunctious, lives for entertainment, and hates routine to a T

All that being said, get to the important stuff here, their relationship; other than it's the equivalent of having a bomb strapped to your back or being held at gunpoint

We'll cover each hero one by one☆

Pure Vanilla Cookie: He's willing to do anything for Earthbread, even if that means becoming the literal boy-toy of time itself. Was the first in the group to say "Guys, if we don't do this, we'll all dead!" Overall, the most accepting of his faith. Is he terrified? Absolutely! Put into consideration that TK is stronger than what DE could or will ever be. Also, though not totally understanding their hobbies or musical interest, he still cheers them on or even indulges in it, likely being forced

Golden Cheese Cookie: Possibly the easiest to win over, the two have a lot in common and connected easily. Although at first, she didn't know what to feel about TK when they first show up. Golden was egotistical, believing her powers surpassed all, but when the Timekeeper, a being stronger than not just her but DE, shows up, it almost shatters Golden's ego, especially since they're a blur when they fight. Like PV, she doesn't understand their interest in musical theater, in fact doesn't see the liking of musical theater in general

Hollyberry Cookie: Her first thought was definitely "Oh what's the worst thing that can happen?" Everything. Every. f*cking. thing. Home girl just wanted to protect her kingdom and friends from threats, and no amount protection is gonna help us with *that*. But, Holly trusts PV, believing that in order to save their kingdoms and the world, is to let TK get their way, and it somewhat works? Also, Holly learns very quickly that Timekeeper isn't affected by alcohol berry juice. Very quickly don't ask why

White Lily Cookie: And she thought Dark Enchantress was scary. Seriously, the poor thing was/still is terrified of Timekeeper. To think, a happy life with her friends, with PV, all thrown out the window. Like Holly, Lily trusts Pure Vanilla with every inch in her body and also believes that letting TK do what they wanted with them was the safest option, you know how when you're of scared or uninterested in something, but as time goes on, you grow more curious of it? That's what happens with Lily. She gains more and more curious and almost intrigued by TK. An example of this is through theater, whenever TK performs, Lily watches in awe and adoringly. Timekeeper to Lily's eyes is like mother tiger, beautiful and magnificent beast yes, but better a few feet away, or behind glass

Dark Cacao Cookie: Legit thought TK was hell spawn the minute they showed up, diffidently the hardest egg to crack, even making the dumb decision of wanting to fight them. After learning how dire the situation actually was, and fighting was in fact, not an option, he decides he wanted nothing to do with him. All those years of prepping, preparing for war, now fruitless when dealing with Timekeeper. This obviously, doesn't work considering they destroy the citadel's wall within a second, or the fact they just teleport to him at a given moment. Even when he does warm up to TK, he still finds them annoying

And the final touch would be bonus head canons:

☆Timekeeper does crazy and or messed-up sh*t just for the pure sensation of the five's reaction. They also make sure it isn't consistent pattern, so they never know their next move

☆TK likes touching faces, especially if it's Pure Vanilla's, they like squishing his cheeks. That could be cause very touch-starved

☆At a given moment, TK had jump-scared several people by teleporting into a room or behind someone

☆White Lily finds herself "stalking" Timekeeper whenever they're alone to learn more about them, jotting notes in a little journal. It normally ends TK leaving only to appear it right behind her

☆After finding out they're not affected by alcohol, Holly and Cheese like testing TK's different abilities by arranging these different bets

☆Despite their amount of power, they love playing a good game of "cat and mouse" with Dark Cacao and creme wolves, just annoying him long enough so gives chase

☆TK is quite diverse with it comes to musical instrument, the one they play the most is the piano. Their favorite music genres is both eclectic and normal swing, so if I they get to be in the same room as a piano, you're in for fun night

☆The ancient heroes can all chilling for a second before being dragged into some crazy shenanigans by TK, whether that be one of their hobbies or musical theater fun

☆ Since Golden Cheese and Pure Vanilla both hang out with TK the most, the two learn alot about importance of performance and showmanship

☆ The other ancient heroes constantly give Dark Cacao sh*t for getting involved with TK

Going into 'angst' territory, with Timekeeper being around, it impacts the friendship of the five heroes. On one side, we have Dark Cacao Cookie, who refuses to be some 'object' and wants to take action, but then you got everyone else who thinks fighting back would be pointless and making them happy and entertained is their best, and safest option. Dark Cacao being dramatic, questions whether or not their friendship means anything, and decides he wants nothing to them also. Which to their defense, it's not like they don't agree with him, it just that DC's plan was kinda stupid and escalate quickly

also yes absolutely! i do not have any puppet OCs (yet) other than my puppetsona, so my other OCs shall have to do! this will be a bit long so i'm going to put this under a read more:

we'll start with some more fandom-related OCs! here's Miiko, a Moomins OC of mine:

Miiko is a half-moomin/moomintroll (similar to how Snufkin is half-mumrik). He's in an OC x Canon poly relationship with the Joxter/Joxaren and the Mymble! His whole thing is that they're an astronomer who writes the constellations upon maps, and he also dabbles in a bit of theatre.

I also have an MHA/BNHA OC, although I am not part of the fandom/never got deeply involved into it. I still keep her because I made her when I was going through a rough friend group and so she brings me a lot of comfort as writing and re-developing her after the events helped ease the pain I was recovering from.

She is depicted to the right (on the left is @soda-sparkss OC Miasma Bakugou), and her name is Inako Saito! She was raised by the Neo-League (a recreation of the LOV in her universe) and was experimented on quite a bit as a child. This resulted in her having an unstable quirk that constantly changes, called Quirk Shift.

This isn't really a fandom necessarily, but I have a D&D character I have yet to get a chance to use yet, but I love them to bits!

This here is Kiwal! He's an avian monk who was raised by sailors upon a ship known as The Lindwurm. They very much believe in the power of friendship(tm) and they're an all around great guy! His voiceclaim is Tidus from Final Fantasy X and his themeclaim is any of Maxi's themes from the Soul Calibur series.

Moving on from fandom OCs.... onto Story/Project OCs! I'll start with a guy I haven't used in a long time:

I don't really have a reference for this version of him, but this is Bass! He started off as a Friday Night Funkin' OC a long while ago but then I changed him into an OC for a Tactics RPG Project I had in mind (similar to old Fire Emblem games or Final Fantasy Tactics). He's the Fellaen prince of an empire that worships the dragon Ouroboros. He's one of the two main characters of his story, the other being the vessel of the divine and fell dragon, Luka (whom I have 0 image references for- sorry-).

Keanan (depicted on the left) is a human with a love for programming, the technical side of spaceships, etc. who was stuck being a janitor on a human fleet because the higher-ups felt he was too pacifistic. One day the ship he was on got attacked by an alien fleet (specifically, a species known as Nephorites) and was taken aboard their vessel by their captain, Tobias. He ended up getting hired there >:)

Now for a character from a project you will hopefully one day see...:

This here is Lucrum Von-Aconitum, a Nephilion (species from one of my bigger projects). He's the current head of the Von-Aconitum bloodline and thus is the Grand Judge of Terrahydrus, the Underground Canal City. He is in fact a father figure and also is very corrupt (accepts bribes and whatnot in his courtroom). We love him though <3 He is part of a very, very big RPG project I plan on making one day... it will likely change a lot once I start working on it, because the story needs a very heavy revamp (really, really badly- it sucks to me as of now).

I don't want to list any of my other story OCs from that story since I need to redesign them + rewrite the plot heavily, so I'm going to show one last silly, non-story OC:

But… Well, to be frank, I’m far younger than most would expect a captain to be. And I can’t promise I will make nearly as many profitable judgements as our dearly departed Captain Oshali. Not to mention… are you sure you want a Zenithian noble brat in any sort of position of power? I am deeply, deeply flattered of course, Doctor. I just… I want to be certain that you are offering this to me because you do believe this to be best, and not because, well, we are currently a crew of two with no other options.”

“I would much rather have someone who acknowledges his shortcomings to be in charge, rather than someone who’s sure they’re always smarter than everybody else. You’re also consistent, like Oshali, just consistent in different ways. I could count on her to put profits first, and I can count on you to put people’s lives first. I don’t have to guess with you as captain. You might be a Zenithian noble brat… but, you’re my friend. I haven’t had a real friend in a long time. Yeah, I’m sure. Even if there’s a dozen of us on a ship, I want you as my captain.”

My son is growing up. Not only is his birthday coming up in game - he’s finally gonna actually be eighteen years old, as he’s been claiming for the past couple years of his life - but he has gone from vent goblin for hire and person with barely enough technical expertise to be of any sort of practical use on a ship, to the bloody captain of a ship. So, to commemorate that, I decided to update his look a bit.

Meet Captain Tomorrow von Tahsin. He doesn’t cover his eyes nearly as much as he used to (though there is a lore reason for why he does that at all), and he’s tied the top of his jumpsuit around his waist now, Portal 2 style, showing off them noodle ass arms more clearly.

Also, he’s now wearing a leather bangle around his wrist and, more importantly, a bullet around his neck. That last little accessory is in memory of a former crew member who outright declared that Tomorrow might as well be his little brother. For many, many backstory reasons, that meant and means the absolute universe to Tomorrow. Said crew member ended up leaving for a better paying career, but Tomorrow kept one of the guy’s bullets to remember him by.

Turning eighteen years old is actually going to come with a world of problems for Tomorrow, but hopefully he can survive them. He’s survived the almost utter annihilation of the House Tahsin, he’s survived traipsing about the Third Horizon as a child parading as an adult, and he’s survived all the havoc that his latest crew has been getting into. Surely he can survive adulthood and the responsibilities of being a captain as well :3

Do you have any Skloom Headcannons? Domestic or Their reactions to the other getting hurt?

I don't usually do domestic or hurt/comfort or Sky x Bloom (I hate their ship name; it sounds awful). That said, I am doing a rewrite and, like it or not, i need to develop their relationship so I have come up with some headcanons.

Bloom's art is something that Sky adores. He himself has technical skills when it comes to creating art but it never came to him naturally because he was always taught to not express his true feelings on anything in a way that someone could end up using against him. He is in awe of how much emotion and enthusiasm there is in Bloom's drawings and he can't believe that she came up with all those fantastical creatures and different fairy designs before ever seeing real magic. Bloom gets him to join her in creating art sometimes and it helps him relax and not feel like the heir to one of the most important realms in the Magic Dimension for a while which he really likes.

Bloom ends up telling him a lot about her life on Earth early on because she doesn't have much experience with the Magic Dimension yet and because she misses home and Sky is curious about the place she comes from. She ended up telling him how her parents met and it led to the unpleasant for Sky conversation about his parents' arranged marriage. He had a perfect opportunity to tell her about Diaspro then and there but he didn't want to feel her pull away from him when spending time with her is the best part of his days. It was the moment when he decided he was going to put his foot down and refuse the marriage to Diaspro, though. He was just hoping he could keep Bloom from ever finding out about that since his and Diaspro's parents were pretty much the only ones that knew about the engagement.

Bloom gets fairly disillusioned not just about the magical world but also about relationships. Up until she learned about Sky's arranged marriage and she had her powers stolen, everything seemed like a fairytale. Sure, there was trouble even early on but she had her dream, her friends and the perfect almost boyfriend. Even the search for her origins couldn't taint that. But after everything turned upside down she decided that relationships aren't some storybook romance and involve real work. She is happy when Sky agrees that they both need to put some effort into rebuilding their relationship after what happened but she never sees him as this perfect prince Charming anymore which she really comes to appreciate after the whole story with Avalon when she fell for how he seemed to give her everything she ever wanted. Sky feels real and while it's far from perfect, she knows he's really trying for their relationship.

When the Trix attacked Red Fountain for the Codex, Sky wasn't killed by Icy's attack. But he was dying from her ice creeping closer and closer to his heart, which would freeze it and kill him. And Bloom didn't suddenly gain healing abilities. It was just that she was afraid of losing Sky because of how much she loves him and all of those tender feelings she has for him allowed for a very subtle wave of her fire to move through his body and melt all the ice magic which saved his life. Bloom couldn't possibly pull off something like that with anyone else. It was her love for him that saved him.

Similarly, Sky's speech helps her get rid of Dark Bloom. However, later Sky finds out that while Bloom wrestled with her darkness back then, she still doesn't have it under full control because she felt like he loves her good parts but he hates Dark Bloom. And Dark Bloom is more an actual part of Bloom than any of them would like her to be, which makes Bloom insecure about whether Sky is actually able to accept all of her. It makes her buy into his behavior after he was spelled by Diaspro and that requires a lot of talking and fixing things later on but they get through it.

The first time Bloom went to Eraklyon, there was no time to really show her around because of Diaspro being kidnapped. As it turned out, her first impressions of Sky's home included her and her friends being chased around by a raging Sky. He feels horrible about it and about the fact that bringing Domino back put the spotlight on his and Bloom's relationship in a political context that's annoying both of them. They have to play the whole thing off as being so in love that they never considered the political implications behind their actions to appease all the other realm leaders who are worried about a potential alliance between Eraklyon and Domino. Bloom is forced to spend time at the place that previously scarred her keeping up political facades and Sky hates it. Until he sees a painting of him and Bloom in the garden that she has yet to finish. It looks like the garden is the one place where they can drop the pretenses and just be themselves and that's why Bloom likes spending time there.

At a certain point, Sky learns that he was adopted in a shocking turn of events. Bloom doesn't know exactly what she's going through since she was told early on that she was adopted and it didn't bother her too much. But she can definitely relate to the desire to know about your real parents and the fear that they may have abandoned you because there was something wrong with you and they didn't love you. She isn't sure she can help him as much as she wants to but she's still with him every step of the way while he's processing and Sky appreciates her support. Her love and Brandon's friendship (as well as the support of his other friends) are things that don't change regardless of the big reveal about his past and it's those things that help him deal with the new information.

(Wanda is even sitting on R lap and playing with her hair!!) the girls deny and the turns out all team thought they were together, later they are reading some fic about them cause they're curious and its a smut, R gets shy and wanda gets a little turn on about it and says "you know if I was to date anyone here it would be you" so R realizes the same and they eventually get together

Wanda Maximoff is your favorite person in the world.

You are colleagues on the Avengers team, and clicked together the very moment you first saw each other.

Everyone on the team knows that you are inseparable and if someone is looking for you and can't find you anywhere, it's because you are sleeping in Wanda's room.

You never really thought about what this implied, so during the Halloween party that Tony planned, you were very surprised when this subject came up.

The avengers were gathered around the table, a few hours had passed since the party had ended, and Tony was beginning to feel bored. So he grabbed the tablet on the table and announced it to everyone:

- I made a very interesting discovery this weekend! - he says with a mischievous smile. - Tell me Avengers, have you had a look at the work of our dear fans?

The team let out a chorus of apprehension. Tony laughed.

- God I'm surrounded by old people. - He comments as he activates the hologram playback function on the tablet on the table. - I found some interesting content about the Avengers. Say, folks, have you ever heard of fanfiction?

The group let out a chorus of excitement, and Tony giggled.

- I should have known you would eventually make us watch porn. - Natasha laughed, making everyone laugh. And then Tony was running through some files, mostly innocent artwork, of the team on adventures or facing supervillains, and you all looked excited. Then Tony let out a little laugh.

- Whoa, I found something interesting. - he says with a mischievous smile. - It has the hashtag "NSFW”.

- What does this mean? - Steve asked curiously.

- You're going to love it, Cap. - Tony retorted, and then there is a not-so-innocent artwork of Steve in the hologram. The shield being the only item he is wearing.

The team lets out a mixed exclamation of surprise and laughter, and Steve turns bright red.

For the next few minutes you laugh and are embarrassed by various more adult art that people have done, and then Tony lets out a wry chuckle.

- Look, this is interesting. - He starts.  - The best couples from the Avengers.

- This is going to be good. - Nat mocked, crossing her legs and taking a sip of her beer. 

- I am surprised that Potts and I don't come first, it is disappointing to know that people don't recognize a love as amazing as ours. - Declares Tony and everyone laughs lightly. He moves his fingers again, reading something on the screen. - Check it out, Romanoff. Your affair with Banner is in fourth place.

Nat laughs, and Bruce gets a little embarrassed, but he doesn't say anything. Tony continues.

- That is funny. - Tony says with a chuckle. - Apparently all the fans think that Wanda and Y/N are a couple. They are the most popular.

You let out a short laugh, surprised at the insinuation. Wanda follows you, settling better on your lap as she laughs.

- Wait, Tony, what do you mean they think? - Bucky asked with a confused expression. - Aren't you two dating?

You and Wanda frown confusedly in his direction, and you notice that Thor has the same confused expression as Bucky. And then you look around and everyone, except Tony, has the same look on their faces.

- Who else thought we were dating? - Wanda asks and the whole team choruses in agreement. Tony says "I thought you were playing along".

You and Wanda laugh awkwardly.

- Where did you get that from? - you ask in surprise. Then the team shares a wry laugh and you frown.

- Really Y/N? - Bucky replies. - Wanda is literally on your lap! And you've been playing with her hair all night!

You and Wanda shake your heads in denial, laughing lightly.

When you return to your room however, you are thinking about it.

- Hey, stop overthinking it. - Wanda jokes as you walk together down the hall toward your room, and you laugh weakly.

- Stop reading my mind. - You retort without any hint of aggressiveness. You loved to provoke Wanda, and you had no problem if she used her powers on you.

When you arrived at your room, Wanda threw herself on your bed, and you went to find something comfortable to wear.

- Lie down here, I got curious. - She says as you are putting on your pajama pants. When you are finished, you lie down next to her on the bed, stomach down on the mattress, mimicking her position. Wanda is on her cell phone, and holds it out a little to the side so that you can see it. She starts typing something next, and you laugh lightly.

- Why are you researching this? - you ask as you read "fanfic Wanda Maximoff and Y/N".

She shrugs, smiling.

- I want to know what people think we do. 

- Wanda. 

- Shh, look at that. - She says, holding her cell phone up to her face. She laughs lightly, and then pulls it away showing you a text. 

- "Wanda and Y/N have always been in love with each other." - You start reading and Wanda lets out a giggle. - Wow, that is a surprise.

- "In the Avengers tower, they have always gotten along much better than any other member of the team." - Wanda continues reading and you make a noise of agreement with your mouth. 

- Technically, I get along with everyone. - You comment and Wanda laughs, pushing her shoulders against you lightly.

- "However, the nature of their relationship changed during a particularly physical training session." - Wanda continues reading and you raise an eyebrow. - That sounds promising. - You laugh half-heartedly, but Wanda continues reading. - "The redhead had been assigned to train with her friend, and during that training she realized the undeniable attraction she felt for the other girl”.

- Oh my god. - You mumbled in embarrassment, trying to snatch the cell phone from Wanda's hands, but she just laughed, moving away. When you insisted, she stood up, laughing lightly as she continued reading.

- "When Y/N made a move that knocked Wanda to the ground, the witch couldn't help but kiss her passionately."- She read aloud and you let out a grumble, getting up. - "Their tongues fought together as Wanda let her hands go up the inside of her shirt to her breasts, making Y/N moan"

Wanda's reading died in a laugh as you tickled her to reach for the cell phone. She threw her body at you next, but you didn't return the device, laughing lightly.

- Stop it, this is embarrassing. - You say with flushed cheeks, dodging the girl's hands as you get back into bed. Wanda grumbles, but follows you.

You sit side by side, and you only hand the phone back to her when you close the page.

- You know what? - She says after a moment, her cheeks slightly pink. You look at her curiously. - If I were going to date anyone here, it would be you.

You blink in surprise, feeling your heart race at the phrase, and look away from Wanda quickly. 

It takes a moment, but you finally speak.

- Yeah, I... I would date you too. - You confess, looking forward. To try to relieve the tension, you quickly add. - Maybe Bucky or Nat too, but my first choice would be you.

Wanda laughs, turning to you and ruffling your hair. Your natural instinct is to grab her by the wrists, and throw her on the bed. You laugh for a few seconds, but something has changed. The closeness of your faces makes your breath catch.

- Wanda... I...

- Are you trying to figure out the ending to that fic? - She teases breathlessly, and you laugh, letting go of her wrists. But Wanda uses her freedom to pull your face against her, kissing you softly, and making you sigh in surprise.

- Wow. - You say as you walk away, feeling your lips tingling.

- I know. - she whispers. - Why did it take us so long to do this?

You smiled, kissing her again, properly this time.

When you two parted again, completely out of breath, and with your clothes crumpled, you threw yourself next to Wanda on the bed, laughing lightly.

- I can't believe that the fans knew that you were in love with me before I did! - Wanda then announced.

- And you call yourself a telepath.

You scoffed next, and she laughed as she slapped you on the shoulder. It didn't take long before you were laughing together.

The year after a red sky gives people that viewed it powers, Wilbur's family dies in an attack staged by supervillains. He is discovered by Phil who takes him in indefinitely. He is allowed to heal but there is someone he misses and wishes to see again, no matter how much he's wronged him. There is some mild gore in the first chapter and the attack causes a lot of death so be wary of that but the second chapter is full of Dadza raising a teenage Wilbur. This is the first (and currently only) fic in a series.

Whispers of Red by Alexander_Wesker - T, 58k, completed

This is the sequel to Drawing Dead so I suggest you read that one first. Wilbur comes back to act as the Egg's vessel. His goal is to expand his Family and naturally, the first person he wants to join him is his little brother. Alex is able to write unsettling stuff really well and this fic is no exception. I love Eggbur but please keep him and his particularly raw diet far away from me /j.

I Was Looking for Someone by Raisans_Grapeon - T, 9k, ongoing

SBI zombie apocalypse fic where Wilbur (Ghost) is a zombie who runs into a group of three humans who recognise he's self aware and capable of relearning English. There isn't really gore/cannibalism except for one or two brief bits where it's heavily implied but not graphic despite everything being in Ghost's POV. Also, since Wilbur is learning language, whenever he hears a human conversation, the speech is presented as garbled. It takes a little effort to get the hang of deciphering what is being said but it can be done. Ghost is a sweetheart and I would absolutely protect him with my life if necessary.

Home Again, Home Again by teeth_eater - G, 33k, completed

Tommy, a human who was taken from Earth, crashes the ship he was on and becomes a stowaway on a cargo ship that happens to be manned by SBI. When they discover him living in the vents, they keep him in a cell until they are sure this member of a dangerous species won't do them harm, leading to them eventually becoming friendly. The clingyduo friendship is great. I really like 'humans are space orcs' type content and this is a great example of it. I love the worldbuilding and the thought that went into the alien designs. This is part of a series (Human Error) so there are some great scenes like Chiquitita dancing and Tommy downing 'poison' to everyone's horror after the events of this fic are over.

In the Dark Place by teasdays - T, 24k, ongoing

After November 16th, Ghostbur wakes up in Techno's house. He insists he is dead but Techno and Phil keep insisting he's not. As he adjusts to his new way of living, he has to come to terms that something bad happened before he died and that maybe none of his old friends want to hear him out. I find the exploration of 'what if Wilbur survived Nov 16th but just believes he's dead?' really interesting. I also appreciate that Techno's a bit more patient with him about his insistence that he's a ghost. The gardening scene was quite sweet too.

(Also a special mention has to go out to A Twin of Light by Alexander_Wesker (T, 205k, ongoing) since it's caused me to make a bunch of friends, including Alex themself. If you want to see cc!Wilbur and c!Wilbur become arguably the most important people to each other, I recommend this one. Worldbuilding is fantastic)

Tommy is diagnosed with the same chronic disease his mother died from. He catches Wilbur and the rest of his friends praying for him on various occasions as he deteriorates. Features illness and character death so stay clear if you aren’t comfortable with that.

Tommy is Death and his work sees him encouraging souls to go through the door to the After. However, he meets Wilbur and from there, things unravel as he gradually gets attached to Wilbur's family and friends. There is obviously a tw for the deaths of both humans and animals but also one of the souls he encounters is due to suicide and Tommy is fond of the bugs that follow him around. So be aware of all that, along with anything else mentioned in the tags.

Worth a Try by Solena2 - T, 2k

Eret prevents Wilbur from detonating the TNT on November 16th. I loved their dynamic of ‘traitor and imminent traitor’ and the way they are both characterised. Wilbur clearly wants to get it over with despite how many times he’s backed down and Eret wants to talk him out of it.

Little Wings by Pixelfun20 - T, 7k

Wilbur seems to have been his mother's son in appearance from day 1. Phil doesn't mind this as much anymore but when his infant son becomes irritable and seemingly inconsolable one week, he realises Wilbur might have inherited something from him after all. Essentially, Babybur starts growing wings and his parents try to comfort him through it. It's technically an ongoing fic but the only chapter feels like a one shot to me and it hasn't updated since March so I'm putting it here.

5 times being a seer changed the future, and the 1 time it set it in stone by 5ievel - NR, 7k

Wilbur has prophetic dreams and he uses them to decipher what he should look out for. They help him save Techno's life, prevent the Final Control Room and he thinks it will help him stop a traitor from using explosives. You know immediately whose name should be on his list of suspects but the last line makes all that pay off so well.

Hello! Thank you for the ask :D 🤡 What’s a line, scene, or exchange you’ve written that made you laugh?

Im gonna cheat a little here cuz I didn't write it, but there's a line in my first collab (The Monster of the Temple) where vamp!salim is trying to tell Jason where they'd be able to find his friends, but since he hadn't talked properly in years, his articulation isn't quite the best yet and Jason misinterprets his meaning.

Jason’s eyebrows furrowed as he tried to parse that, “Us down… We gotta go down?” It made sense, in a roundabout way. Up was swarming with monsters, to their backs were tight tunnels, maybe down there was a secret exit.

Confident that he understood that much, Jason tackled the next couple words. “Ship friends. Friendship?” He huffed. “What, we’re gonna bust through this place with the power of goddamn friendship? No offense, Salim, but I think we’ll need more than that.”

Definitely has to be "Baby, Why Don't We go..?" It's so fluffy that Agnes from Despicable Me wants it as a plush. xD

💖 What made you start writing?

Believe it or not, it's not actually House Of Ashes that got me into writing. I've always had a knack for writing stuff going as far back as the 8th grade. We had a short story section in English Language Arts and I created this entire sci-fi world that I got real high marks on. But to be technical, there's an 80's show called Highway To Heaven (definitely worth checking out) that I got into because of my stepdad watching it all the time. I fell in love with the two main characters and I LOVED their chemistry, so I started writing for it, but I never got past the first episode because idk, I just intimidated myself out of how much stuff there was to cover xD I've since deleted it from my AO3 but Im sure I still have it somewhere.

why Sans is wearing Steven Universe’s clothes and Pink Steven being right next to him should be obvious.

it has to do with Sans and Steven being one in the same.

and when the Human Half of Steven died, he was reborn as Sans

but the gem half that makes “Pink-Steven” reforms but Human-Steven is not close by and most likely left to maybe to go live with his new family, his new Dad that speaks in hands and his new little brother Papyrus.

the dark purple soul belongs to Knight, the light turquoise blue soul belongs to Kris, and the Red Soul belongs to the Player.

I believe that before the Player’s Red Soul ends up in Deltarune (in Chapter 1), the Knight who is the Dark Purple Soul had made Kris’s life miserable by pulling dark pranks on others, even if Kris could pull some pranks....they would not willingly cross the line, that would be the Knight’s doing.

yeah I have a theory that the Knight had done dark pranks by making Kris do them and making everyone believe it was Kris, while technically it was but at the same time it was against Kris’s will.

think about it, we never did any of those dark pranks that those in Deltarune mention.

so it makes sense that it is the work of the Knight, who’s soul has been controlling Kris before we got there.

and the only time Knight does take control,

is when they are about to do something sneaky and they rip our soul from Kris’s body and the reason why Kris doesn’t fight back is because the Knight is much stronger than them.

it is possible that the only time we are stronger than the Knight, is during the day time in the Lightner’s World and when we are in the Dark World.

but once Nighttime happens, the Knight has the power to control Kris and pull us the Players.

so if this is true, this means that Kris has two souls in them trying to fight for control.....one being the villain known as the “Knight”

and the other being us the Player, the Red Soul.

I see that as fan headcanon.

in theory if the Crystal Gems and Connie, didn’t know that Steven died and became Sans.....

like it happen some time after the end of Steven Universe Future.

Sans might have Alphys help with that, by cloning a homunculus steven body, that the Pink-Steven will be put in and make it so that no one knows Steven had died and became a Magical Talking Skeleton.

well that could be one way to keep the Crystal Gems, Connie, Greg and everyone else from Beach City from finding out what happen to Steven....if he had died off-screen and was brought back to life by Gaster as Sans.

even if we love Steven Universe

(and some of us do love Steven Universe Future)

at least we now know now that the Steven Universe Future,

was NOT the start of Steven’s problems......it was just the boiling point.         

Greg was not a great dad, something we should of seen from the start of the first Season but couldn’t.

I plan to re-watch the first series of Steven Universe, to really watch it

and notice the stuff that we never truly notice before....

like even if the Crystal Gems did make some mistakes with how they treated Steven most of the time during his childhood.

and Amethyst did start to become a better big sister to Steven,

like with the whole finding out his Mom is Pink Diamond.

even if not a lot of fans liked Steven Universe Future, because of different reasons....

but we have to acknowledge the problem Steven was having didn’t start in the Steven Universe Future.....it started in the first series.

even if Steven had his good days, he did end up with trauma and he didn’t see a doctor until Steven Universe Future....

which you can thank his “Ex-Dad Greg” for that.

most families have excuses for not being able to go to a doctor.

after becoming rich, Greg could of hired Steven a tutor

and send him to school.....though I don’t think you have to be rich to do that.....at least I don’t think so.

but we can’t place the blame on Steven, even if his Human and Gem Family loves him dearly....

it doesn’t help that Greg and Connie form a “Human Beings Club”

kind of excluding Steven and making him feel a type of negative emotion.

I believe what Steven was feeling when he also says “human beings.”

was a type of negative feeling, but like still wanting to be included in the human bonding that his Dad and Best Friend (Future Girlfriend) were having.

Greg was a bit disappointing in the episode where he took Steven to where his parents lived.....

just when Steven was becoming more better and even enjoyed finding out about his Dad’s past.....Greg only made things worse again,

when he couldn’t understand why his own son was upset with him.

 there might of been more to the story of Greg’s Parents than what Greg told so far.....it is possible that one of Greg’s parents had very sensitive hearing and couldn’t handle really loud music.

and Greg could of broke that rule many times and that is why his parents don’t allow any music in the house.

even if that episode tried to play that Greg was a victim, it might not be 100% true.....

yes Pink’s punishments were unjust at times, but we have to remember how bad she was before she given Earth.

so most of her punishments were just, meaning she deserved them.

while other times she didn’t deserve them at all.

the problem might be that both Greg’s Parents

and Blue & Yellow Diamond, would punish Greg and Pink even at times when they didn’t deserve it.....

but it could be that before they did start punishing them,

they let them get away with so much and one point both of them crossed a line that it became too much for Greg’s Parents and even Yellow & Blue, and they had no choice but to ground them

to Greg’s Room and Pink’s Tower.

once again the problem with Steven

didn’t start in Steven Universe Future,

it started at the very beginning in Steven Universe.

the the boiling point maybe started in the Steven Universe Movie,

then the breaking point started in the Steven Universe Future.

not all fans of Steven Universe, have to like Steven Universe Future.

I happen to love Steven Universe, Steven Universe Future and the Movie.

but we have to try to come to terms that the problems Steven was having, didn’t start in Steven Universe Future.

it started in Steven Universe, and even if not a lot of fans will accept that.....well it is their choice, and they should accept it by their own free will to.

I do plan to re-watch the first series to see if Steven had more than one bad experience which would of been one of the first problems he had before his breaking point in Steven Universe Future.

I know at first I thought of the Steven Universe Future

as the time he had his boiling point, but in correction it would be his breaking point that would get worse over time.

the boiling point would be the first stage, which would start in Steven Universe Future.....when more of his mother’s past misdeeds would come to light.

 the breaking point would slowly consume and get stronger for Steven, to the point where he would end up becoming Monster-Steven.

Steven becomes a gem monster because of all the negative emotions,

he only gets better once everyone realize what they didn’t do for him.

being there for him when he needs it.

at times we could pretend that everything is fine for others,

like acting like we are only a little sad but doing pretty okay now.

but that might not be for the best....even if we might think it is.

          Sans might be a future version of Steven,

who had gotten better and learned from his past, but could still hold on to some form of bitter memories.

like what if the one calling Connie, when Steven proposed to her...

wasn’t Connie’s Mom but was a Boy that Connie was Dating.

and she still liked Steven, but couldn’t bring herself to tell Steven.

well hopefully that isn’t true and that was just Connie’s Mom.

we know that a lot of fans were worried for their ship.

well the Sadie and Lars Ship had became the Friend Zone Ship.

meaning it went from “I Ship It” to “I Bud It”

Shep seems nice though, when I did first see them on the opening I didn’t know if they were a boy or a girl.....

but it turns out they are nonbinary, so it’s nice that the episode where they officially appeared on (as well as their bio.) had confirmed Shep’s identity.

I think I still need to figure out the whole Gyno-Agender

or Feminine-Nonbinary thing.....

I wonder how many fans of both Yandere Simulator and Undertale/Deltarune.....

An Incriminating Blush - Moniwa x Reader

Summary: As you finally allow Moniwa to help you with your project, you wonder if the guy you've fallen for would ever like you back.

Author's Notes: I'm back to writing for an underrated character. lol. Another one of those, 'I don't know if anyone will read it but I'm going to write it anyway' lol. It's been a long time since I've written something so if you're on my taglist and aren't interested anymore, just let me know through this Google doc.

Author's note 2: This is the one-shot version of the Operation Moniwa SMAU that I dropped. This fic is pure romance though. I couldn't keep up the comedy in the SMAU. lol.

Biting his lip as he held the stylus, Moniwa's hand glided over your drawing tablet, outlining the roof of the cafe.

"I told you to stop drawing," you remembered Moniwa scolding you the day before.

You sighed, watching him as he continued to draw on the digital canvas. You preferred to do the work by yourself, but Moniwa's offers were persistent because you often took on too much work. Even with your school's art festival coming up soon, you continued to refuse his help until you finally injured your wrist.

Your eyes fell on Moniwa's arm and hand as he continued to draw strokes on the awnings. Two of his knuckles were wrapped with tape from a toss gone wrong. A splinter from woodworking class made its mark on his thumb. Yet his fingers moved precisely from the abundant practice from creating technical drawings.

Looking at his furrowed brows, you admired the man you had fallen for. "You're really good at this," you commented with a gentle smile.

Still focused on the drawing, Moniwa replied with a wide grin, "I told you to let me help."

You laughed, expecting this answer. "How's the volleyball team doing?" you asked.

Moniwa sighed and slumped back on his chair as he reflected on their recent team meeting. "They made me the captain for the spring tournament," he told you. "The third years decided to retire to focus on school."

"That really suits you," you laughed.

"You haven't seen what my kouhais are like," he said. "Those first years are going to give me so much trouble."

"I'm a first year too," you said with a smirk.

After thinking for a moment, he replied, "That explains a lot."

You laughed and punched his arm in response. "So how are the other guys doing? Sasaya? Kamasaki?"

"Oh them?" he hummed. "They've been trying to set me up with someone...," he explained, words trailing.

You felt your stomach tighten, knowing exactly why. You ignored it. "That's sweet of them," you said with a smile.

"I thought so too at first. But then it got awkward, so I told them to stop," he continued. "Especially when I found out it was you..." Moniwa suddenly pressed his lips together, realizing he said too much. "Sorry! I shouldn't have told you that!" he explained in a fluster. "Now I'm just making it more awkward," he added, slapping his own forehead.

"No! No! It's okay!" you reassured him. "It's not awkward at all," you lied. You had always thought that Moniwa had only seen you as a friend, which was why you continued to hide your feelings from him. You were content enough to continue with your unexpected friendship with him. You held it close to your heart, attempting to protect it from cracking under your care.

After Moniwa left, you sat on your bed, the mattress sinking under your weight. Heaving a sigh, you wondered if you should move on. You've liked Moniwa since you had met him at the skating park a year ago, before you had entered high school. You shook your head, wishing to direct your mind elsewhere only to start scrolling through your past messages with him.

Moniwa was eager to help you when your skateboard broke. The axel was rusted and caused the front wheels to be unstable. You tried to use it anyway, only to be met with frustration. The skateboard was a gift from your eighth birthday. You had it for six years.

When Moniwa said he could salvage it, you didn't believe him, especially since he was only a year older than you. With scrap metal from projects and access to the machines at school, your next skateboard ride was smooth as if it were new again.

Lying on your bed, you shifted and faced the other way. You knew Moniwa was the kind of guy who'd help anyone. But when he started helping your classmate, Ami, with her theatre set, you couldn't help but be jealous. You knew he must have been busy constructing it, which was one of the reasons why you initially rejected his help. But he continued to insist, especially after you injured your wrist. You couldn't help but feel a little special, only to remember that this was normal for his personality.

Sighing, you thought that maybe it was enough to just be friends.

It was 7 o’clock in the evening when you popped your head into the back theatre room. You saw Moniwa from the hallway after leaving your own classroom. With the school festival a week away, Moniwa was alone putting together the large pieces of the ship deck for the play.

The deck was about six feet wide. There was just barely enough room for it because one side of the room was filled with rows of costumes while the far side was filled shelves of various props. You spotted a decorative mirror, a Victorian dress, and a few jousting swords.

You gave Moniwa a large wave to get his attention. His eyes lit up when he saw you and he placed his power drill on his work table once he finished fastening the screw. “What are you doing here?” he asked.

“I finished up my tasks for our class’s activities. So I ran away before the class president could nag me to do more work,” you laughed as you shuffled into the room. “I only wanted to take a break and see what everyone else was working on.”

Moniwa smiled, giving a light tap on your head. “Y/n, you should go back. You’re always running away from your class prez.”

You pouted, rubbing your head to pretend you were hurt. “And I thought I left the nagging.”

“Then you shouldn’t have come here,” he said with a smug grin.

You heard chatter and footsteps from the hallway and quickly pushed Moniwa further into the room. After taking a few steps back, Moniwa stumbled on some costumes that were on the floor and he barely caught himself when he almost tripped on them. You also slipped but Moniwa’s chest and arms prevented you from falling.

Lifting your eyes to meet his, you remembered that Moniwa looked taller when he wasn’t beside his giant teammates. But as your gaze focused on him, he quickly turned his head away from you. He didn't realize that his action did very little to hide his face. After glancing to the side to the decorative standing mirror, your eyes widened.

"Moniwa…," you said. "Are you blushing?"

"N-n-no I'm not!" he stuttered, frantically waving his arms. But it was obvious to you because he had turned his face back to you, now seeing an even clearer view of his red nose and cheeks.

When you raised an eyebrow, he promptly covered his face with his hands and threw his head back in defeat. "Sorry Y/n," said his muffled voice. "Pretend you didn't see that."

You saw him bite his lip as he turned away from you, presumably to leave the room. When you grabbed his hand, he froze. You felt his hand clam up.

"What if I don't want to pretend," you told him. Moniwa turned to you, blinking a few times, your words not making any sense to him. So you clarified. "Moniwa, I like you."

At first, he froze. He was so stiff that you thought he wouldn't move even if you were to give him a poke. But when he came to, his words rushed out of his mouth in a fluster. "What? Why would you like me? You're smart and pretty and talented and fun to be around…" He continued to ramble. "And I'm plain and boring and not very strong and–"

You quickly cut him off when you hugged his waist and relaxed onto his chest. He liked you. You couldn't believe he liked you. Moniwa just didn't understand how amazing he was. You were pretty sure Ami liked him as well. You sighed, wishing you had noticed his insecurities earlier. You've been watching him for at least a year. You felt like you should have known.

You laughed, more out of relief than amusement. He liked you back. All those memories of you anguishing over your unrequited feelings suddenly vanished and were replaced with joy. He liked you.

Moniwa flailed his arms when you fastened your hold even tighter on his waist. He quickly scanned the room, nervous that others might have seen.

"So are you going to hug me back or not?" you asked.

"I- Is that okay?"

You gave him a smirk, then a peck on the cheek. "Of course."

You once again saw that blush that you were waiting months to finally see. A blush reserved only for you.

Okay so I was looking at the Loonatics Unleashed fandom wiki for no particular reason I swear and I have come across some mildly interesting discoveries about the content of said wiki. I guess this is like... kind of a weird partial wiki review? Is that strange? Under the cut, some spoilers, yadda yadda yadda.

1.  Something I couldn’t stop thinking about after watching the show was the fact that Ace and Lexi have like... no interesting personality. Since the wiki was right there I figured, “Hey, there’s usually a personality section on their character pages, maybe I just didn’t notice something.” So I looked at Ace’s page. 

His personality section is tiny. And what is there is stuff like, “he may have a sweet tooth,” and he’s, “cool, calm, and collected,” three words which basically mean the same thing. 

Next I checked Lexi’s page... which... hilariously... did not even have a personality section. But don’t worry guys! She’s got a section unique to her called, “fashion sense,” which goes into great detail about her not wanting to look fat.

Curious, I checked the other characters pages as well. 

Slam, unlike Lexi, has a personality section, which is incredible, considering he’s on screen for a fraction of the time she is. But Lexi is not alone in having no personality(according to the wiki) as Rev apparently doesn’t have one either. Like, come on. Nobody editing the wiki could think of one trait that he has? Even Slam got a line about having great battle strategy. Nothing about being enthusiastic or fiddling with Tech’s things or desiring his dad’s approval? Uh, okay then. Speaking of Tech... he got one line about being warm hearted and protective of his inventions... Yep. That’s... definitely all his traits... Totally... Ugh... 

Duck has a fully fleshed out personality section, which, makes sense since he has a very well defined personality and most interesting interactions with the rest of the cast. There are still problems with it though, like talking about his powers in the wrong section and another thing I’ll go over later.

2.  Also along the lines of the “Ace is bland” thought I had, his Powers and Abilities section is pathetically short. I mean, he has four tiny bullet points: One is about having great agility which isn’t needed because another point is that he’s skilled at martial arts which requires great agility. There’s his laser vision, and then apparently he has infrared vision? I mean, I’ll believe the wiki this time but I straight up do not remember that. It must have been one of those things that wasn’t brought up much. (Also it didn’t mention his swordsmanship which is strange.)

Most of the other characters’ sections of their abilities are pretty standard, but I have to note that Rev’s section is MASSIVE. One of his listed “abilities” is literally the ability to talk which uh... is strange. It’s noted that he talks fast, but that just seems to be a common trait of roadrunners as far as I can tell. Rip was the strange one for talking at a slower pace. Either way... I guess the ability to speak is an ability. Strange to put it side-by-side next to things like “super speed” and “flight” though...

3.  There is straight up incorrect information and strange assumptions in a few places. A lot of those things come from Rev’s page and specifically his Trivia section. 

Small complaint first, the page mentions the sound the original Roadrunner makes a couple of times and spells it as “meep, meep,” which the actual sound is “beep, beep,” an imitation of a car horn. Pedantic, I know. 

Okay first true complaint, the wiki assumes Rev’s the youngest solely based on the fact that he’s hyper. Uh... he could also be hyper because, and stay with me here, his power is super speed... and also some people are just hyper? IDK. I have to mention he seems like someone that would’ve gone to college given his family’s wealth and history with being engineers, along with his own technical knowledge, making him similar in age to Tech and Lexi. But odds are all members of the team are college aged and none of them are notably older or younger than the others. (Wait the Trivia page mentioned him being hyper but he still didn’t get a personality section with “hyper” in it???)

Another incorrect “fact” in the trivia section is that Rev’s the only character whose family is shown in the show. It was brief, but we saw Duck’s parents in the flashback of him and Pinkster in the orphanage. Yeah they’re just some boring humans but they’re still his parents. 

I guess this counts as a complaint? Uh, maybe I’m missing something, but the wiki claims Duck has sibling relationships with both Ace and Lexi, which... like... I swear I don’t recall from actually watching the show. I do recall him calling Lexi “sister” at least once, but like, in a sassy friend sort of way? And I just... straight up don’t recall him and Ace having any interactions that would denote them as being brother like. Is this just someone deciding that being Good Friends that learn from each other constitutes a sibling relationship again? I’ve seen it happen before. (Don’t ask, it’s stupid.)

Lastly, whoever wrote Lexi’s page seems desperate to ship her with Ace, but like, as professionally as possible. The section on her relationship to Ace is like “their relation is unclear, but she could possibly LooOOoove him~” Then it goes on to scrape for every time she showed concern for him, but also says she keeps her emotions hidden? Guys there’s a word for when someone is in a mutually caring relationship that isn’t a romance. It’s called being friends. Best Friends if it’s a little deeper than normal. Shhh. It’s okay. I know a man and a woman being friends is scary but it can happen. Everything will be fine. 

4.  As I’ve ironically noted a few times already, there are a bunch of redundant pieces of information on some of their pages. Most of the time I think it’s just due to padding. Like, Lexi has 4 bits of trivia and one is, “she likes video games,” and another is, “she’s good at video games.” You uh... couldn’t just make those both one point, huh? I’m not gonna count information being repeated through sections because sometimes context is important.

Yeah so reading the wiki was... something. I mean I don’t blame the wiki of a 2005 Looney Tunes spin off for not being the most well loved and complete, and I’m sure it’s probably been vandalized a few times for lols, but I just thought this stuff was worth noting nonetheless. Mostly it means I can’t entirely trust the wiki when it comes to information regarding the show.
