Teapot Tuesday
Not every teapot is designed for tea. Shocker, I know. Recently I found a great clearance item from MudPie , one of my favorite brands for home goods and more, during their warehouse sale. When I saw it listed I knew it needed to be added to my cart. This teapot vase is perfect in every way. . I love the blue color and the slender spout. It is the perfect vessel to put a few of my lenten roses…

People keep pointing out that the Diluc tea set can be found in Hexenzirkel areas, but the Kaeya vases are also there, and tbh, what a heartwarming though to have them keep both.
Is it a vase and tea set combination that was for sale together? Or did a bunch of witches just knew to not separate the vase and the teapot?

Flowers and Fruit
Artist: Henri Fantin-Latour (French, 1836-1904)
Date: 1866
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia
Description
Neither his considerable number of mythological paintings, nor his many portraits, have eclipsed in interest Fantin-Latour's fabulous flower pieces. Occupying a contradictory position as modern productions deeply inflected by tradition, they seem to us the most fastidiously crafted of all paintings to have attracted the approval of the impressionists and their circle. Fantin-Latour was by no means an impressionist himself, and some of his fantasy pictures tend more towards symbolism; yet even at its most academic, his touch has the evanescence, the softness, we associate with someone like Manet. Indeed, Manet was his friend and intellectual collaborator. One of Fantin-Latour's most famous canvases records a gathering of artists in Manet's Batignolles studio. The still life reproduced here is the embodiment of elegance. The flowers, freshly picked and perfectly formed, have been set with easeful order in their vase. The opened fruit and table utensils suggest a breakfast piece. Ordinary enough as individual items, as an ensemble their arrangement alludes to ritual.

A Couple, Traditionally Identified as Mr. and Mrs. Hill
Artist: Arthur Devis (English, 1712–1787)
Date: c. 1750-1751
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Yale Center for British Art, New Haven, CT, United States
Description
Mr. and Mrs. Hill pose in the corner of a room which, though sparsely decorated, contains a large oval Italianate landscape painting mounted as an overmantel and a Chinese vase in the fireplace-it must be summer. Seven exquisitely painted cups and saucers on the tea table indicate that guests are expected, while Mr. Hill has placed his book (octavo) on the mantelpiece. His pose reflects nearly contemporaneous rules for gentlemen as set out in etiquette manuals. This does not necessarily suggest that Mr. Hill was trying especially hard, nor that Devis felt it necessary to underline the point. Nevertheless, Mr. Hill's right-angled feet, and the position of his hand in his waistcoat, are what Nivelon's Rudiments of Genteel Behavior (1737) recommended.
