The Ultimate Volk Racing TE37 Buyers Guide
youtube
Debuted in 1996, Volk Racing’s TE37 has become the brand’s popular design. The wheels are known for being incredibly strong compared to others due to the special blend of metal used to make them, which is also very helpful when it comes to heat dissipation. That of course, is not the only reason that made these wheels popular, being lightweight and stylish while delivering the best when it comes to performance and quality, and being the best wheel to be used on both the track and the street also elevated the TE37’s status.
Made in Japan by Rays Engineering, these wheels have a simple six-spoke, one-piece forged aircraft-grade aluminum design and weigh in at 3.7kg. This wheel is an iconic 6-spoke design wheel with an even stress distribution across 6 spokes, especially when it’s running. This wheel is the right combination of strength and style. The wheels are designed and manufactured using Rays’ best technology, and the engineers make sure that they go through vigorous testing (like drop testing, benchmark testing, and more) to ensure that they are the best.
Here at Vivid Racing, we have more than 2000 Volk Racing wheels in stock and ready to ship, including limited edition colors such as Arms Grey and Racing Green, so in this article, we are going to explain the differences between Volk Racing TE37 wheels, and everything you need to know before you purchase them to make it easy for you to choose the right TE37 wheel for your ride and needs.

Modifying a TE27 Sprinter Trueno
The secret is "simple" rather than "plain"
'72 model TE27 SprinterTrueno that respects the atmosphere with the standard parts of the time
Last year and this year, the TE27 Trueno won prizes in the Modify Co Contest two years in a row. Isn't it a dot?
Photo: Ito
●Modification part '83 final model 2T-G replacement Unmeasured initial model genuine car
Breathtaking finish
Lightweight flywheel / Solex 40 for 18R-G / Barnacle race 4in1EX manifold & 50.8 muffler / Igniter & ignition coil for TE71 / Earl's fuel line / 3 layer radiator / Electric fan for AE92 / Transmission for TE61 / TRD Clutch disc & cover/differential for TE71 Custom-ordered front coilover Ligier 4kg spring, TRD 5-speed adjustment shock for AE92, Carrosse pillow ball/Rear TOSCO race spring, NISMO 8-speed adjustment shock for B310/Caliper for AE86/Alfin drum for RT55/TOSCO7J -13+ 8J-13/Autolook old bucket seat/TRD tachometer/Ramco oil pressure, oil temperature gauge/custom front spoiler/export marker/tail lamp for KE25
The engine is the final 2T-G with Solex 40 for 18R-G and the cam for the initial model. The silver head cover seems to be the color of the group, and the owner's car has a red border. Barnacle octopus legs can be installed almost with bolts from TE27 to TE37. The plug cord is made by TRD and the oil catch tank is 2ℓ of Carrosse. The interior of the engine room is in show condition, with almost everything including the fenders, struts, and bulkheads polished to a shine.
Exterior parts group full of commitment
According to the owner, who values the atmosphere of that era more than anything else, “Cars are easier to drive than motorcycles because there are many things that cannot be seen.” In other words, the parts that can be seen are the parts that must be thoroughly adhered to in the car, and Niinana's enthusiasm is strongly felt. According to the owner, he likes the Napoleon mirror that he got from a friend the most. Also, I chose the tail lens for the early 20 series Corolla Coupe (KE25) and installed it nine years ago when I got it. However, the simplicity of the red color without amber matches the side markers for export that are installed in the set, and he likes it. If you replace it with the frame, you can install it with bolt-on. The Cibie 100/90W bulb of the headlamp that changes the look of your eyes is a classic. In addition, the black accent lines around the headlamps give it a completely different image and a fearless look. The front chin spoiler is a custom order.
Commitment to modification
“I changed cars with the B110, KP, and Hachiroku, and my fourth car, the Niinana, was bought nine years ago for 100,000 yen. It's become an item.Mine is terrible considering the price. It must have been used for dirt tracks.
Before I knew it, I had become like that. Custom is important to the atmosphere that fits the era of the car. I like to make it simple rather than the earth. I also like customizing motorcycles. It was the RD, the predecessor of the Yamaha RZ. Since there are many visible parts of a motorcycle, it is not so easy to cheat. Cars are fun in that respect. Invisible parts are solidified with the latest parts. However, the appearance that can be seen is particular about what fits the atmosphere of Niinana. As expected, there are many things that are difficult to find, but it's also one of the pleasures to look for such parts again. In baht, I can be proud of the Tosco wheels, Napoleon mirrors, and Autolook seats.
Satisfaction while driving!
It's something only the driver can see, but I definitely want to be particular about the meters. This Niinana was equipped with a 11,000 rpm full-scale TRD racing tachometer (manufactured by Nippondenso). It is the benefit of the independent 3 meters of this era that it can be neatly put together because it is installed in the normal position. The point that it is replaced with an aluminum panel is also lacy. Also center hydraulic
As for the engine, I tried tuning the 1750 and 2000 that can be thought of in Niinana. But when I was restoring it, a friend took me a 2-liter engine, and now it's a 1.6-liter engine. There are still many things I want to do. I would like to work on my legs a little more. Also the engine. I want to add a special crank. It would cost about 500,000 yen to make one-off, so I'm looking for TRD or the one that was used in the F3 that was made overseas at the time. It may take a lifetime to find it, but that hardship is part of the fun.”
Wheels are 13 inches of TOSCO (the predecessor of TRD of Toyopet Sports Corner). At that time, the racing design was a perfect match for the TE27. 7" is installed in the front and 8J is installed in the rear, but 7" is especially difficult to obtain now. Of course, TRD seems to have some in stock, but it is a gem that I would like to see reprinted and resold. The tire to be combined is ADVAN Type D. The size is 185/55 VR13 at the front and 195/55 VR13 at the rear, and it clears the basics of difficulty with over fenders.
hard to get now

Kairi Update...
So now that I’m moved in the house I’m getting caught up on all the maintenance that I couldn’t knock out during the summer. I was busy getting everything squared away with doctor’s appointments and moving everything over to the house. It worked out better anyway because I just ended up dailying the Ranger and using that to transfer stuff back and forth from the rents house to my house.
So let’s see the drive belt came in. I had to buy new high beam one of bulbs went out. Dropped the exhaust off at my boys house so I can swing by after he gets off work and we can knock out the welds on it. Gaskets ordered. Going to do the trans fluid and oil at the same time while I have the car up on the lift. Especially since I don’t think they put synchromesh back in the new transmission. It already shifts buttery smooth but I want to see if it improves even more. I gotta replace all the brake pads and switch out the right front caliper. Long list of shit to do lol. All tedious but necessary. Then I gotta decide if I’m going to store the car early before winter on the lift and just use the Ranger or at least try and enjoy the car for a little bit before it gets too cold outside. but that’s pretty much it. I really haven’t did anything with her since earlier on this year. Life came up and I had to adjust accordingly. Feels bad cause I had every intention of attending more events this year and never got around to it. But it is what it is. And I’ll make up for it next year.
And lets not pretend those Te37 Saga TAs aren’t fire though....

All loaded up and ready for @worldtimeattackchallenge this weekend, if your looking at this car then keep in mind the amount of hours I have poured into it in the last couple of years, although almost nothing has been left untouched I tried to keep everything within the original soul of the car. The hardest part of the build has been to take such extreme ideas and wind them back make everything gel together. I concentrated more on textures, angles, fabrication processes and using stock parts more than ever in this build. I managed to do it all in my own garage and I hope you can see this reflected in the 95% finished product. See you there! #wtac2017 #engineeredtoslide #ps13 #silvia #racecar #te37 #sr20 #na #itb #quadthrottle the entire story is available on engineeredtoslide.com (at Sydney Motorsport Park- Eastern Creek Raceway)

New Post has been published on https://www.vividracing.com/blog/top-5-best-aftermarket-wheels-for-toyota-tacoma-and-4runner/
Top 5 Best Aftermarket Wheels for Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner
The Toyota Tacoma is one of the most popular off-road vehicles in the world. It might not have the notoriety of something like the Jeep Wrangler, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Just like the rest of the automotive aftermarket, wheels are one of the most popular modifications for the Tacoma. The stock wheels do their job, but they are very boring and have very conservative fitment.
There are quite a few wheel options for the Tacoma and finding the perfect set of wheels can be a challenge. To help you in your search for the right set of wheels, we’ve compiled this short list of the top five best Toyota Tacoma wheels. This list is in no particular order.
#1 Method Race Wheels MR305
The first wheel on our list is from Method Race Wheels. As you probably already know, Method is one of the biggest names in the off-road industry and they offer everything from basic street/off-road wheels all the way to race wheels. For the Toyota Tacoma, the MR305 wheels are very popular, because they offer a great look at a fantastic price.
The MR305 NV features a classic 12-window design with simulated beadlocks. They’re super strong, with a load ratings from 2500lbs to 4500lbs depending on the application, and they’re constructed with solid A356 aluminum with T6 heat treatment.
See more and buy here
#2 Venom Rex VR602
Venom Rex is relatively new off-road wheel brand which is part of Vorsteiner. Vorsteiner is best known for building wheels for sports cars and supercars, but they’re off-road wheels have proven to be as good or better than what many companies are offering. While the majority of off-road wheels use a cast construction, VR602s use a much stronger Flow Forged construction.
Not only are these wheels very strong, they’re also very lightweight compared to most off-road wheels. With a lighter wheel/tire combo, overall handling is improved, because unsprung weight negatively effects handling. This wheel uses a sharp and elegant split six-spoke design and looks awesome on the Tacoma, as well as the Toyota 4Runner.
See more and buy here
#3 Icon Alloy Wheels
You may know the Icon name from their high-quality suspension systems, but they also offer a handful of wheels. For Toyota truck fitment, they offer a handful of different wheels. Across all their different designs they use application specific dimensions and load ratings, giving you fantastic weight and strength.
All their wheels feature simulated beadlocks, giving your Tacoma the off-road look you want. In most states, beadlock wheels aren’t legal for road use, so simulated beadlocks are a great way to get the look without the risk of breaking any laws.
See more and buy here
#4 Fuel Zephyr D101
None of the wheels we’ve listed so far feature beadlocks. In most states, beadlocks aren’t legal for road use and they’re also much more difficult to balance correctly. For Tacoma owners who want more than just a strong or cool looking wheel, the Fuel Zephyr D101 is the perfect solution. Not only do these wheels feature functional beadlocks, they also feature a very bold and unique design.
If you didn’t already know, beadlocks allow you to air down your tires much lower than you can on a standard wheel. With lower tire pressure, the footprint of your tire is much larger and gives you a lot more grip off-road. Beadlocks also reduce the chance of the tire getting ripped off the bead if the tire experiences a hard side impact.
See more and buy here
#5 Volk Racing
Volk Racing is another company that’s best known for their street wheels. The TE37 is one of the most iconic aftermarket wheels of all time, thanks to its incredibly simple design and mold form forged construction, making it significantly stronger than most forged wheels. Their wheels are most commonly found on JDM cars, so it’s no surprise they entered the Toyota truck market.
For the Toyota Tacoma, Volk Racing offers their TE37X wheel. While the rest of the wheels on this list are either cast or flow forged, the TE37X uses a fully forged construction. The construction makes the TE37X significantly stronger than any other wheel on this list, but it comes at a much higher price. On top of that, there aren’t many TE37X fitments to pick from. These wheels are perfect for those who want the strongest wheel possible and the JDM style so many enthusiasts love.

Outro
What we’ve listed here is just a small fraction of what’s available on the aftermarket for the Tacoma. With the popularity of the Tacoma and 4Runner, there are lots of wheels available, with some designed for off-road use and others designed to be big and flashy. If you’re still not sure what wheels you want for your Tacoma, our performance specialists can help you decide. Email [email protected] or call 1-480-966-3040.

Had an amazing day at Buttonwillow. Thank you @speedventures for taking us in at the very last minute. I also want to thank my team and supporters for taking care of my car and squeezing me in to their tight schedule. @indotech_motorsports, @techcraftperformance, @chewerks you guys are the MVP! Anyways, did a few minor upgrades to the M3 this past week, got some JRZ 2-ways, brake pads, lines and fluids. We spent the whole day dialing everything in but we'll definitely need more test and tune sessions to get it to where I want the car to be. Was entered into Bimmer challenge and surprisingly came out 2nd place overall. There's a lot more in this car once it's dialed in, I'll be able to push it. Next mods will be Alcon rotors and fresh tires! Special thanks to @2_andtheleave_francis and @coolin_mc for being out there with me and help me get through the event smoothly! 📸PC: @coolin_mc #TeamWWR #BMW #M3 #F80 #M4 #F82 #TE37 #TE37SL #MLife #BMW_M_Nation #SpeedVentures #Buttonwillow #Sunset (at Buttonwillow Raceway Park)
