Sharing my TCD headcanons!! And revamping old ones soon, but these are mainly for some of the characters! :]

Some of these may have minor spoilers for pretty much…every season of Tcd? So be wary!

Nick [

Nick is 22 years old! When the apocalypse started he was around 18-19

Nick has amnesia, he can’t remember much from before he woke up in the literal apocalypse. But he occasionally can remember very blurred memories. Someone with glasses, a house- some old stores here and there with no names to match…odd

Nick is NOT aloud to cook anything, he can bake sure! But he somehow burned WATER. So Shark refuses to let Nick ANYWHERE near the kitchen or the stove. Shark is very protective of his kitchen.

Nick adores animals and helps out any of the ones he finds, there’s a cat that wanders around the cdc who’s been named Smokey! Nick found Smokey during a blizzard, Nick also has a few chickens and ducks he’s somehow found and adopted? I mean..everyone gets free eggs from the chickens so win win!

Nick collects dinosaur bones, specifically ones from museums near by. By his words (as AK once asked him why he had a taco skull in his bag) Nick responded with “I mean..they’re just sitting there? Who’s gonna stop me from taking one or two fossils here and there”

Nick, wayyy back when it was just him, Ghetto and Jorden. Broke his leg when they jumped off of the boat to escape from the walkers, Ghetto patched him up but Nick was pretty much stuck on the couch for a few months- his leg never healed properly. And he has a minor limp that kicks up when he’s been walking around for too long

Nick is Gay, because I said so- (there’s no way that man is NOT fruity. Idc what canon says) he’s also ace! ]

Ghetto [

Ghetto is 23 years old, only a couple of months older than Nick- when the Apocalypse started he was also around 18-19!

When the apocalypse started Ghetto had gone to check in on his friend, and he won’t tell Nick this..but Ghetto had found his friend just….not how he use to be…at least he doesn’t get to see what the worlds come to..

Before the apocalypse Ghetto use to work at a Shelter for pets! He’d do minor veterinary work here and there. So he knows how to handle a few medical procedures..nothing major. He can stitch people up and can help brace a broken limb. He’s the one who helped patch up when Nick broke his leg- and would help the others with minor injuries.

Ghetto also learned a few medical tricks here and there from his older sister! Since she had grown up to be a doctor- (he’s…still not sure where she is. But he hopes she’s okay.,,)

Ghetto, after being bitten/healed by Ross. Seems to have grown sharper K9’s, and the whites of his eyes gained a greenish hue to em. It doesn’t affect his vision at all..,but it is a constant reminder of what he almost became. He also keeps a piece of cloth to keep the bite mark scar hidden. If he doesn’t have his jacket on.

Ghetto has a moon shamed necklace that was a gift from Nick, Nick said it reminded him of the time Ghetto mentioned he liked astrology! Ghetto never takes it off..ever.

Ghetto is Bi! He’s even on both ends, but occasionally finds himself leaning towards one side more than the other- kinda flip flops here and there? ]

Ak ]

Ak is around 23, when the apocalypse started he was around 19-21.

Ak had been off to visit some family, specifically Jorden’s family! He is the best friend to Jorden’s mom and is Jorden’s god father/best babysitter. He was in town when the outbreak happened and spent half that time trying to find jorden. He had to keep the kid safe, it was his parents last wishes…his best friends last wish. And Ak was going to die before he’d let anything happen to Jorden.

Ak…fully regrets when he had eaten his first teammate back in the early days of the apocalypse. He was desperate for food and had no idea what had come over him..he refuses to tell the others but worries that Red may know…red always knows. How does he always know??

Ak is a decent tech guy, infact he’s the main guy the crew calls in to help repair the generators! He also shows the others how to clean out their guns properly, taught them how to properly shoot, even taught them smaller things like to not touch your face after firing a gun due to the gunpowder.

Ak refuses to take his mask off, let alone around anyone else. He’s only ever done it once or twice. Mainly around Shark, Ghetto, or Nick. Since they’ve been together the longest

Ak HATES red with a burning passion. Not only for killing off the only person left from before, but for bringing harm to his friends, his family..his found family. He will have reds head on a stick. One day..

Shark ]

Shark is around 23, being around 18-19 when the apocalypse started.

Sharks gf had been visiting for the summer when everything came crashing down. They had been sticking together for awhile but…Sharks GF hadn’t been paying attention and..had gotten bit..a few days later Shark was on his own again..

Shark was apart of the group of bandits that had been raiding seaport ages ago, though he luckily had decided to book it out of their days before Nick and Ghetto took out most of the bandits. A few hours later and baddabing badda boom! New party member :]

Shark wears sunglasses 24/7 cause the sun hurts his eyes. Even inside it can be a bit too much, and other lights like candles and such can cause minor irritation. So he wears the sunglasses to protect his eyes!

Shark before the apocalypse did nothing major, he was studying up to become a detective, had a stable job at a local diner, it wasn’t perfect but it was nice! And he could actually afford things.

Sharks mama is Hispanic! She was this sweet woman who had adopted shark when he was around 7-10! He was the oldest kid there, and Since older kids don’t really get adopted she wanted to give Shark that chance. Shark adored his mother and forever is grateful for her! (She luckily passed before the apocalypse had started.)

Rest || The Crafting Dead

Title: Rest

Characters: Nick, Ghetto, AK, Shark & Jess

Summary: Very Short, the gang finds a moment of peace in an old music store

A/N; guess I’m a CD blog now djshrjshjsjd. I wanted to write something about it and all I came up with is this really short thing so enjoy!!

“Hey Jess, you ready to go?”

“You bet.”

Stumbling upon an abandoned music store had not been their intention, but now that the group was here, it was a sin to miss the opportunity. The five of them were piled in, and each of them picked an instrument. It had of course taken a bit of work to hook up the generator the the stores power supply but they all believed the effort was worth it.

Shark sat behind a piano that had been left neglected for so long it was slightly out of tune. In possession of an electric guitar was AK, who had replaced at least three of its strings with spares lying around the store. Ghetto had dusted off an old drum set, and was using a pair of old chopsticks he found behind the counter to play, as drumsticks were nowhere to be seen. Nick managed to find an old launchpad, and he’d hooked it up to Jess’ microphone, both to provide special effects and to play along. It was a ragtag band, but they somehow all managed to find something they could play.

The dusty music store probably hadent seen anybody through it’s doors since the beginning of the apocalypse they found themselves in. After all, who needs a violin to survive when the zombies attack? But after all that had happened, music seemed to be able to provide a much needed reprieve from all the shit luck and bad hands they had been dealt lately. Just... one moment. One moment of quiet peace, simple joy in playing music with friends. That’s all they needed right now.

Shark began to play, a short intro to begin, and Jess started singing.

“It’s the last... day on earth...”

And for a few minutes, All was calm in the midst of calamity.

He walks around shirtless but sometimes he has a vest and sometimes he has a gun he painted rainbow and he's an asshole to everyone and he was introduced to the story while attempting to kidnap a maim character

Don't roast me idk their actual tags But the gang is all here, so here's to the 3 crafting dead fans Some details/headcanons I really like under the cut:

ALL ABOUT THE CHARACTERS NOT THE CCS AK: -He/They, Russian-American and Gay -Bleached hair, Is technically a natural blonde but turned brown with age and after he shaved it all off in his military service he nows lets it all grow out and bleaches it when he can, hoards the bleach and purple shampoo from the stores. -Hearing impaired which happened because of an accident, which eventually left him to leave military service. He doodled on it and painted it to match his mask but it chips off a lot. -Knows ASL and some BSL (British Sign Language) and RSL (Russian Sign Language) which he uses to jokingly insult people -Mask is weathered and needs repainting but he doesn’t like taking it off so he does it rarely -Wears eyeshadow under the mask because it makes his eyes stand out and kinda looks more intimidating, he does sleep in said makeup but reapplies it every morning which shark will sometimes try and make him mess up -Rooms with Shark and sometimes Nick or Ghetto, because of being deaf he is more venerable at night so he is the only one that really needs a roommate to alert him in the night if something happens -Uni caught on to him being in the military earlier on because of the routines and phrases AK says and does. -AK use to babysit Jordan after his service and taught him very limited ASL, if you ask he denies teaching him how to say fuck in ASL -AK is a nickname in the military and he changed it legally sometime during it, his legal name is his fathers and was a jr which just made it easier to change for him. Though some people still call him Junior.

Nick: -He/Him, Trans Male, American and Bi -Mirror twins with Shelby, He is right handed while Shelby is left handed, they also have the same purple-ish birthmark on their calf but his is a bit more visible, Nick is younger of the two and the shorter. -5′5 Short King -Freckles so many -Red head? Brown Hair? No one knows but Nick says it is just a very red brown -He has many skills that usually came from Shelby dragging him into her hobbie phases, some include Piano, Axe Throwing, Golf, Roller Derby and Knitting. -Graduated with a Computer Science degree and studied in Anthropology, He uses his computer knowledge to fix up some of the technology in the apocalypse and very basic electricity based devices. The anthropology part is mostly useless/j   -Knows very little French and Japanese and is learning more from Uni who knows many languages, he also use to ask Cory about them as well -Can bake, CANNOT cook -Workaholic which gets him injured a lot

Ghetto: - He/Him, American and Bi -Had originally brown eyes but after getting bite and the medicine they have a green tint to the whites and have turned mostly green, his hair is just made to match, his teeth are also tinged green -Strong, use to do gym work before the apocalypse and his dad was a survivalist so he has some muscles. -Mom friend, worries a lot about everyone, not the best with words but he is very comforting and no matter how hard he denies that he is soft he melts often  -Doesn’t talk about his past much, he lived alone and worked at nights, that's what most people know -He and Nick narrowly missed each other many times in normal life, they lived very close to each other as well, Ghetto did meet Shelby once but only when he was leaving for work and Shelby was coming home and because it was late and such a short greeting he just doesn’t remember until it was mentioned much later -Ghetto worked with animals and kids periodically and he was planning to graduate with a vet degree but y’know the apocalypse -He just picks up people, usually nick or the smaller people of the groups but if distracted he will pick up anyone. Notible ones include: AK, as he and AK was on outside duty he picked AK up and AK just froze then accepted it. Uni, man just hit in the head for that one yet it still happens a lot. Sky, he did this one on purpose because it was after Barney died and Sky was too sad to move. -Stayed by Nicks side after he got shot, and changed a lot of Nicks bandages and brang food, sometimes even slept there. They were rough weeks.
