ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 4 ( ᴘᴀʀᴛ 2 ) : ᴛʜᴇ ᴅɪꜱᴀᴘᴘᴇᴀʀᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴊᴏꜱʜᴜᴀ ʟᴀᴛᴛᴀᴍᴏʀᴇ

below the cut is more information in regard to the timeline of joshua lattamore's disappearance / the progress of plot drop 4 ! the timeline goes through the entirety of everything that happened ( that hawkins residences know of ) after the sadie hawkins dance & joshua's disappearance. this timeline will follow through to the next plot drop for april ! if you have any questions or need clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out in the discord or a mod directly. 

this timeline runs through february 15, 2025 - march 31, 2025. all events can be talked about, used for paras, plot devices, etc. please keep in mind that those who have no knowledge of the upside down may believe that another freak accident is happening hawkins. they may be inclined to ask questions, whisper around, etc. but they cannot find out about the upside down just yet ! for those that have knowledge about the upside down, all can assume that vecna's returned & doing some freaky things ( like taking another will byers ) !

if your character was not in attendance of the sadie hawkins dance, please be sure you inform us in the server where they were at the time of the sadie hawkins dance. also, transferring the pairings over for the dance - if your character was not in attendance, please be sure to reach out to the mun of the character yours was paired with so that you can write the mandatory paragraph for this side of the plot drop ! the para should be completed by the end of the timestamp, march 31 ! please keep in touch with us if issues arise !

TIMELINE OF EVENTS:

02 / 14 / 2025 at 8pm | hawkins high school: the charity board for the rebuilding after hawkins earthquake hosts the fundraiser sadie hawkins dance. the chartial board hosted the event at hawkins high school, with the cost of $20 dollars per ticket. most of the evening is spent in normalcy. there is no suspicion outside a few adults getting a little too celebratory with the 'adult valentine's punch.'  joshua lattamore is seen with a group of fellow basketball graduates, some of them a bit roudier than most but their obnoxious efforts are not out of the ordinary. joshua was drinking non-alcoholic beverages all evening. 

02 / 14 / 2025 at 11pm | hawkins high school: the dance dwindles & there isn't many attendees left in the hawkins high gym. most ubers & lyfts take the adults home while some teenagers spark a rumor about an afterparty that's happening at local basketball captain, chris stein's home. for those that have been long graduated, there was buzz about hawkins aluminum, chance kirkpatrick's afterparty. clean up crew was set in motion & joshua lattamore hitched a ride with chance & some of the other basketball alumnis. 

02 / 15 / 2025 at 1am | chance kirkpatrick's residence: the party was in full swing for all the prior hawkins graduates. booze & drugs were littered in the kirkpatrick residence but in a sober state of mind was joshua. he told a nearby friend that he had an early flight back to san francisco in the morning & would walk the mile & a half back to his parents on mirkwood. joshua was last seen waving to a group of familiar high school friends when he started his journey home on foot. 

02 / 15 / 2025 at 3:30am | hawkins police station: ada lattamore frankly busts through the hawkins police station doors crying out about her son joshua who did not return home. when she tracked his location on his phone after she noticed his bed empty, she found that his phone was pinging from the off road area near on mirkwood. both ada & frank lattamore drove to the site, only to find his phone lighting up in the pile of grime & snow in the middle of the woods. joshua was nowhere to be found. police were dispatched to the scene to find tracks that indicated a body was dragged through the snowy ground. 

02 / 15 / 2025 at 4am | HAWKINS POLICE ISSUED A MISSING & ENDANGERED PERSONS ALERT FOR JOSHUA LATTAMORE 

02 / 15 / 2025 at 7am | hawkins police station: chief hopper launches a search & rescue task force to skim the grounds along mirkwood. found along the woods were fragments of joshua's letterman jacket along with residue that resembled blood stains, however, the elements of winter had made it hard to determine. all evidence was taken back to the police station. there was still no sign of joshua. police officers were dispatched to hawkins high where the cleaning crew advised the last they'd seen of joshua.

02 / 15 / 2025 at 10am | all over hawkins: the buzz of joshua's disappearance echoed through the town. spreading like wildfire, residents offered their assistance in finding the hawkins high alumni. 

02 / 15 / 2025 at 11am | chance kirkpatrick's residence: chief hopper began interrogations of those left at the party. heavily investigated was the ex-basketball team & all of them advised that joshua hadn't been drinking & insisted on walking home to his parents house. no one was sober enough to drive him. the hawkins police would continue their investigations with those in attendance of the house party down at the station. 

02 / 16 / 2025 at 12pm - 3pm | hawkins police station: there is still no sign of joshua, though, a search & rescue was formed to search the grounds all around mirkwood by citizens of hawkins. all participants in the search would search from mirkwood to the quarry's edge. there was no real evidence found. when the search team regrouped, it was jason carver's grieving mother that stepped up to announce that she believed the hellfire club was still meeting, even with its disbandment. though hopper tried to snuff the mother's deranged accusations, ada lattamore was distraught in finding out the information. 

02 / 17 - 20 / 2025  | hawkins police station: there is still no word on joshua's whereabouts. hawkins residents, who took mrs. carver's warning about the hellfire club's rumored revival, begin calling the police station to report suspicious activity in the evenings that claim 'it's the hellfire club's satanic doing!' after numerous reports, the tip lines were forced to shut down & instead, anyone who had information on what happened to joshua were to be taken directly to the police department. no one showed. 

02 / 28 / 2025  | hawkins general public: two weeks came & went since joshua's disappearance. with no help from the FBI, the police department consistently deals with a craze that the D&D club ( & it's members ) had something to do with his disappearance. due to the mass media outrage in town, hopper's hand is forced to bring in some of the known hellfire members for questioning. to avoid a mob crowd, all is done at night & one by one. no new information comes of it but hellfire is disbanded until further notice... again.  

03 / 7 / 2025  | hawkins general public: a hiker on his morning trekk spots a torn tie near the forest edge of kerley. it fits the description of the one that joshua was wearing before his disappearance. police are called out to bag it for evidence as there were traces of dry blood on the seam. but there is still no sign of the lattamore boy. 

03 / 9 / 2025 at 2:58am | hopper cabin/byers home: there's a shrill sound of a distressed scream that startles all of the inhabitants of the cabin awake. however, it sounded as if the screams were muffled. coming from inside the walls but there's no sign of life. no one that's screaming no matter how hard they look for the person. it's almost like… a scream was heard from inside the house but in an unknown location. was the screaming person in the walls ? or maybe… in another dimension? 

03 / 10 / 2025 at 2:58am | the wheeler, henderson, & sinclair home: every tv within the house begins illuminating to life. staticky & blaring the most magnetic screeching noise before the lights begin to flicker. it's as if every breaker in their house had short circuited at once. until everything stops. 

03 / 11 / 2025 at 2:58am | the buckley/harrington & perkins home: SPIDERS TW sleeping soundly was ruined when the first feeling was felt on their legs. until it began to spread & when they lifted the blanket was infestation of the crawling legs on every part of their body. jumping up & out of bed, there was a fight to get them all off but eventually they came to realize... it was all in their minds when they looked back at their sheets & all was well. 

03 / 12 / 2025 at 2:58am | cunningham home: PTSD TW the cracking sound had their eyes opening. they had heard the sounds before. the bones snapping in tandem, only this time pain was not accompanied with it. only this time, instead of being the one to feel it... they were watching it happen to themselves. plastered right above the heads of their beds, it was a reflection of themselves right before the snap. a scream that would not come out. a jaw that was unhinged from its socket. like sleep paralysis that they could not awake from. until they could move and their bodies were not above them any longer. they were awake. they were whole. 

03 / 13 / 2025 at 2:58am | mayfield & ecker trailers: when the sound of the radios in their kitchens or their phones blaring through the stillness of their home, a familiar little tune of dream a little dream had spooked them awake. even more when they realized that there was no stopping it. no music app was playing. no station was the radio set to. it was as if it came to life on its own. it was right before they were about to throw the device or smash the radio that it stopped altogether. 

03 / 14 / 2025 at 2:58am | warner & thompson home: the banging at their door was alarming. so much that the residents rolled out of their bed in a hurry to rush down to the entryway to see what was happening. it's when they heard the familiar voice. the ghostly voice that was supposed to be missing. joshua lattamore sounded like he was in a tunnel, calling their names as if it were the last thing he'd ever do. when they opened the door to their house, thinking that he'd finally found his way out of wherever he was... no one was there. 

03 / 15 / 2025 at 2:58am | munson & simmons home: the chime of the grandfather clock came as a shock to the residents. there's no clock in their home. not one that sounds like that, at least. it chimes throughout the hallways & as they roam out of their beds, they begin to search for the clock that seems to never stop even when the top of the hour passes. it echoes in every room. but nothing is to be found. 

03 / 22 / 2025  | hawkins general public: well over a month since joshua's disappearance & the case still remains cold. ada lattamore is desperate for answers & is often seen around town going door to door, business to business, asking if anyone knows the whereabouts of her son. she's turned a way a lot of times but also some people offer up rumors that they heard. some are about the hellfire club but others surface that the alumni basketball team are in on some shady things. suddenly, everyone begins to look at anyone who played on the hawkins high basketball teams ( that are still in town ), as suspects. 

03 / 23 - 31  / 2025   | hawkins general public: the case is on a standstill until further notice.

ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 4 : ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴀᴅɪᴇ ʜᴀᴡᴋɪɴꜱ ᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ

below the cut is more information in regard to our 4th plot drop : the sadie hawkins dance ! a separate post will be made for the timeline events for the second portion of the plot drop. this post is solely for the event portion. if you have any questions or need clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out in the discord or a mod directly. 

the event of the sadie hawkins dance is NOT mandatory. if you don't wish your character to be there, please just advise in the server where they were the evening of the dance. it's crucial for the plot ! this plot drop will take place from the in character timeline of the early evening of february 14, 2025 we will be using the entirety of february for the event specific plot drop & will use the entirety of march to complete all paras & plotting that has to do with it. please keep a watchful eye for the second portion of the drop. this one is solely for the events & narrative of the sadie hawkins dance !

all pairings for the event do NOT have to be in attendance with one another. we just ask that for the plot drop itself, they are caught interacting & a para is completed for their interaction ! under the cut, you'll find the pairings. please be sure to create a thread in the correct alphabetical channel for threads. if your character was not in attendance for the dance, please be sure to reach out to the mun you're paired with so that you can let them know the para will have to be for the second portion of the plot drop ( stay tuned ! )

ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴀᴅɪᴇ ʜᴀᴡᴋɪɴꜱ ᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ

the hawkins high gym is almost unrecognizable as you step through the red and pink curtain. everywhere you look is covered with hearts as some of the best love songs of the 90s play through the dj's speakers. there's a point during the night where you might be dancing with a date, or maybe grabbing a glass of punch with a friend, or simply catching up with a neighbor you haven't spoken to in a while. and without you being aware, you're truly back in the 90s. there's no smartphone in your pocket, no such thing as an xbox waiting for you at home. but as you're enjoying the night, you simply don't notice. hawkins continues to bump through time as we make our way back to 2025, to then fade once more into 1991. the smallest change in the atmosphere. darkness. despair. hopelessness. the feelings dance through the room to the tune of dream a little dream of me by louis armstrong. the one song that isn't from our themed timeline, and while a few of you may have a keen ear, majority will simply allow it to blend in with the rest of the music of the night. with one last twirl around the dance floor, we find ourselves back in 2025. the chill in the air gone almost as quickly as it came on. warmth and love spreading through once more. thank you for supporting our hawkins earthquake fundraiser! may you all get home safely. though, one piece of advice, don't idle on mirkwood.

𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦

the bustling crowd of hawkins residents roared nightly. smell of apple cider. popped popcorn. the sound of fair rides. children's screams in both excitement and terror. the fairgrounds were lively. the town was restoring. the destruction soon to be behind them. 

a tailored suit is foreign among the fleet of costumes. the beige jacket and blood red tie was notable but not questioned. a man dressed as a character from an old tv program? someone out of the 50's? it wasn't common but it wasn't alarming either. 

kept hidden from the ones that knew him. in plain sight to those that did not.

henry creel was human for these few nights in hawkins.

𝘪'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶

lauren hawthorne was the first to meet henry in the flesh. on the opening evening, october 25, his appearance was first noticed at the ticket booth when lauren hammond offered him a ticket to the event while jane was yet to arrive. it was strangely empty when henry came up. he offered condolences about the loss of her late ex-husband. "it's hard for you, isn't it? to experience two of the greatest losses in your life. a lover. a child." it was before lauren could respond that he parted ways from her with a gentle, "i'll be seeing you, lauren."

tina fernandes henry met outside the haunted house when she was lingering on october 25. with the screams and calamity coming out of the scare zone, he said something along the lines of "you were always one for thrills and antagonizing back in high school. always doing what carol told you to do. yet, here you are today. no carol. finding your way out of the fear you used to put into people." before she had a chance to respond, he was tipping his hat with a, "have a good night, tina." 

yoojin tae found henry after her set on october 26. guitar in hand, she stepped off the stage to a blonde male taking her guitar to place it back in her case, assuming that he was a roadie helping after the show. he made talk casually with, "don't want anyone stealing this, little songbird. there's always someone looking to take things away from shining stars like you. that's why you have to keep yourself hidden. out of sight from all the ones that want to keep you bound. tucked away from the bad men back home. or maybe just the bad man who wants to find you." he handed her the guitar case, nodding his head with a hair-raising smile. "great show," was his final words before disappearing behind the stage curtains. when she looked behind it, he was nowhere to be seen. 

visk paiz was next on october 27. standing during the quick scare actor change booth, the bouncer had dropped his prop, kicking it to the feet of the blonde in the tan trousers. henry picked it up to hand it to him, complimenting his scare tactics. the screams from within the house had him commenting eerily, "they remind me of the sounds of people being trapped. unable to escape their fate. suffocating as though, fire were consuming them. i wonder if that's how the ones trapped in the mall felt. you had a sister in that fire, didn't you, visk?" another chilling scream had everyone's attention on the female teenager running out of the house. when visk looked for henry, he was gone. 

suzie bingham heard him before she saw him on october 28. standing in line for the concessions, the soft and drawn out hum was heard behind her. low, under his breath. the melody of never ending story touched the top of her head from his height. it was calming but chilling the way it sounded as though she heard it in her dreams before. when she turned to look at the suspcious man in the hat, he gave her a brief nod, following with "my apologies, suzie." she turned back. noting his use of her name she redirected back to him but no one was there.

alan munson ran into henry on october 28, when he arrived at the performers tent. dressed in his suit, henry advised al to follow him back to where he could leave his personal belongings. "you can leave all your things here. we have security out front so nothing personal will be taken. not your phone, keys, wallet, wedding ring — oh. deep apologies, sir. i know that elizabeth passed long ago — yet, you still wear it, don't you? your ring. it's like a reminder of how things were before it all went dark, for you." when al turned around to address him, there was no one there but another man yelling through the curtain that he was on in 10.

vickie simmons let her guard down on october 29. allowing her younger siblings to go off on their own had her watching as they ran off toward the fair games. the man that sat by the picnic table as she watched them veer off started off small. "they grow up fast, don't they? soon enough, you're not able to keep them so little. sheltered. they grow up and see the damage that can be caused due to a father's disappointment. a father's disapproval. you wonder if they will ever know what it feels like to be abandoned. unloved. unworthy. a disgrace to the family name." her mouth opened to say something in return, but it seemed as if he was never there.

iggy alonso was startled on october 29��when a man out of breath came up to the beverage station. out of breath, the man in a polished suit asked for water. generous, iggy gave him one without charging since he seemed distressed. "i've been looking for my family. it seems as though they forgot about me. just left without telling me in the haunted house. i had to carry my mother out of there. she was so frightened and then when i made it out with her, she left me, too. all of them left and i didn't know what to do. did you know what to do, iggy?" when iggy was called because the lines were getting long back at the register, he turned to look back at the man but he had disappeared into the crowd.

rick lipton tried to skip out early on the fair events on october 30. business matters had his mind, which is why when he stepped out of the entrance to grab a smoke, he realized he didn't have a lighter. as if by magic, the suited man came into sight along the fencing. henry offered. he took. what should've been a small talk conversation turned into a subtle, "you're good at running from things, aren't you, rick? don't stay too long, you can't get attached. you don't wait around because that means your guard could come down. run before it gets to be too fun. too serious. that's what happened with her, yes? you ran because the drugs were easier than feeling what you actually felt. a mask, rick. you're good at masks." rick went to step to him, but henry was no longer in his sight.

will byers, finally, on october 31. standing among the outskirts of the crowd was the man in the tan suit. for a moment, his ominous stare didn't alert the once missing byers boy until he felt it. arising on the back of his neck. like a tattoo that was unable to be removed. it lingered, like henry's eyes in the distance. it's when will found him. a confusing sight to see a stranger with an unearthly smile along his closed lips. that was when a shoulder came knocking into his own, cutting the connection of their eyes and by the time he looked back to find the unknown figure - he was gone. 

OUT OF CHARACTER NOTES:

this event will last until halloween night ! as mentioned prior, this event is geared toward the ones that are unaware of the upside down. the ones that have no knowledge of the lab outside it being the cause of the outbreak in season two. though this is heavy centered around the ones with no knowledge, the event is for plot driving devices among the ones that do have upside down knowledge. 

those that do NOT have knowledge of the upside down: 

vecna or "henry" does project himself among the crowd. he is dressed like he is in the season five leaks in a suit and tie. he appears normal, charming, and overall unsuspicious to them. every character reacts differently to him, as your character would, but he has a sense of calm about him. he talks as though he has known your character forever and your character just happened to forget his name. every interaction is different as written above but the aftermath is entirely up to you on how you want them to take it. do they think about him after their interaction? does he linger in their mind? do they forget about him and carry on with the night? do they ask someone they know if they recognize his description? the possibilities are all up to you. 

those that HAVE knowledge of the upside down: 

it is a normal, halloween based event in the town of hawkins. though this event can be used to drive the plots that you have going on for each individual character, please note that outside will byers ( chosen at random )... henry is NOT seen by anyone else but will and the ones that do not know about the upside down.

we do heavily encourage all characters to branch out and make connections at this event! since everyone is in town and attending ( or working the event ), everyone should be able to make a fun connection there. plotting for it can begin as soon as you read this & interactions can begin as soon as october 23 when the in character event begins. have fun!

OCTOBER 25 - 31st | 6pm to 11pm EVERY NIGHT

hawkins town hall has officially announced HAWKINS SPOOKFEST. a halloween family affair for all hawkins residents! all money donated and proceeds will go to the hawkins disaster relief fund for the families and victims of the hawkins earthquake of 2023. there will be carnival style game booths, fair rides, food, haunted houses & live entertainment. it's a spooky time for everyone in the family! 

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO WORK THE EVENT ! please, sign up at town hall today if you are interested in any of the following areas: 

ride operators - the ferris wheel, monster bumper cars, & the mummy maze ( 0 / 3 )

booth / game operators - dracula's kiss(ing) booth ( slots taken ), bottle knock overs, & basketball free throw shots ( 3 / 5 )

food & beverage stations - drinks & food booths ( 2 / 2 )

Ａ ＷＥＥＫＥＮＤ ＡＴ ＬＯＶＥＲ＇Ｓ ＬＡＫＥ ．．．

When tragedy struck the town months prior, the desire to get back a sense of normalcy since Vecna has been stirring inside the small town journalist. A drive past Lover's Lake was enough to spark an idea in Nancy Wheeler's mind.

Camping at Lover's Lake. 

The entire drive home, she had ordered all the tents, all the snacks, the coolers, all the things to make a simple weekend by the lake the most relaxing, family filled time that the crew deserved. All that was left was inviting the lot. 

Nancy told Steve, who told Robin, who told Chrissy, who told Eddie, who told Aurora, who told Jonathan, who told Will, who told Mike, who told Eleven, who told Max, who told Lucas, who told Dustin, who told Suzie...

That the trip would be this weekend from August 16th - August 19th! 

Overhearing the plans from the group of "kids", Joyce and Hopper both decided that they would be close by to assure that nothing too crazy or weird happens while at the lake. 

OUT OF CHARACTER THINGS TO KNOW : 

This will be a fun event trip to kick off the start of the group! No major or traumatic events will be happening plot drop-wise as we want to focus on building up the group's momentum before we hit with the heavy. 

While we are not permitting anything too drastic to happen, we do want to encourage people to make plots happen amongst yourselves. Will a love triangle arise? Will feelings start to happen among the group? Who will start up the belly flop competition in the lake? Who is pranking the others in their tents at night? It's all up to you! 

Though we have the event running through a weekend, we want to extend the time of writing for this event for two weeks! This event will end on August 31st to give you all the allotted time to write for it. Even with this event running, if you have completed your paras and interactions for that event, you're more than welcome to start up aftermath paras for the week following!

Have fun! Get creative with it and prepare yourself because the next event/plot drop will be very different!
