Theory: The Black Tapes (spoilers definitely possible)

So I have this theory that Alex Reagan is dead already before the podcasts are aired fully. She's killed in the course of this investigation and Nic is posting these podcasts to tell the listener Alex's story, and maybe also he's carrying out her wishes since they worked on the editing before she died.

The intro just sounds like it's preserving Alex's humor, voice, and the sound of her laugh, so I think it's something Nic put in the podcast after Alex dies. It's probably not anything paranormal that kills her, but maybe Daeva Corp? Or the Order of the Coenophus? Someone who decides she knows too much.

Who knows? I could be totally off. I haven't listened to season 3 yet, so I guess I'll find out if I'm right eventually.

I honestly don’t even know how I feel about it like??? I shipped the hell out of stragan considering they’re het but that felt so rushed? I’ve always thought they had chemistry / potential but the writers could’ve TRIED to hype them up more than just in the last episode, bc it felt like it came out of nowhere

alex went from ‘I guess I feel protective of him but we’re just friends... mostly’ to ‘run away with me’ in two seconds flat like b*tch WHAT

and they just... gave up on the plot? on all the weird shit that was tied together but also not?? on strand’s (kinda ex-) wife still running around out there somewhere???

Well, my guess is that it’s either Strand or Simon Reese who did it.  Strand, because he’s not ruled out as a Big Bad, or Simon, because why the fuck not.

This really doesn’t seem like the kind of thing Warren and co would do.
