what's good about a pilot falcon?

HI! The Pilot Falcon (older generations were sold in the US as the Namiki Falcon for whatever reason) is a japanese fountain pen manufactured by Pilot!

it's often referred to as the best modern flex pen, or the best gold nib for a beginner! Tldr for people who aren't pen nerds, a flex pen is a pen that...well, flexes! Most pens have some sort of "flex" to them that results in some sort of line variation, but flex pens can handle a relatively higher amount of pressure. Think like a G nib used in a lot of manga. Old pens were the MASTERS at this, and a good bit of that is due to the nibs being made of gold, which naturally has a "bounce" to it that modern steel nibs have a really hard time living up to. Most people wax poetic about Waterman or other vintages like that because of it. Even modern gold nibs can't really keep up with the gold nibs of yore, but the Falcon is considered to be one that can. I do think legally it's considered a "soft" nib, meaning it's not truly a flex pen but has a lot of flex qualities to it, but some terms that get used are used interchangably so. idk. True flex nibs aren't really a thing in fountain pens these days outside of Noodler's Ahab and Konrad (which are their own nightmare and a half tbh).

The Falcon prized amongst artists for it's very fine nib, which Japanese pen manufacturers like Pilot and Platinum are known for. A Japanese Fine is comparable to a Western (Kaweco, Lamy) Extra fine, and a lot of these pens come in an EF, F, and M. It gets alot of nice line variation despite being so small, and is really an all-around great pen, if legend is to be believed :] An alternative to buying the Pilot Falcon would be getting the Pilot 912 FA, which has something called the "Falcon Nib," not to be confused with the actual pen. They actually look pretty different. The FA nib (right) has these weird cuts on their side that help with flexing and allow it to mimic a full-flex nib, but again. According to legend, modern pens don't flex like vintage pens do, but it IS pretty close.

I've never used either myself, but I'm pretty picky about my pens and so I don't know if I'd ever pay upwards of $200 unless I got familiar with the nib first tbh....The falcon's nib isn't offputting to me like many feel about it, but I'm particular about aesthetics and the feedback on paper and I can't tell if I like them just from looks alone lol. Right now, I don't have much experience with pilot nibs, but if i were to get a pilot pen, tbh I'm looking at the Pilot Elite/e95s in a fine or medium, or a vintage platinum pocket pen.

Pillow fights happen every few movie nights

For actual fights between you and Yuji though, Yuji has always been good at making it back up to you if he did something wrong.

sometimes he needs space after an argument but he comes back pretty quickly.

one of the first fights he went to Gojo for advice and immediately regretted it. Gojo had some good advice overall but it was covered up by some story or stories he was telling while giving it and Yuji didn't make the connection

Megumi and Nanami offer excellent advice however for any situation

usually at least one of them can't bother with the situation if Yuji is asking for advice on what to do for a date or anything like that, but one of the two always respond when it's an argument because they know how much Yuji and you mean to each other

unless it's a silly argument ofc.

Nobara also gives great advice, but sometimes she's a lil too picky with Yuji on what she gives advice on and goes off on other things about him that he could work on

im sorry, she cares a lot but I feel like she would go on tangents sometimes. We still love her very much

"Oh yeah we share Herbology and Charms class!" Fred said with a big smile looking over at Y/N with a big smile.

I have a food allergy that's in everything, but it's fairly easy to avoid if you're making your own food (especially from scratch). Unfortunately, it's also a very uncommon allergy and I've had a lot of people who think it's made up or that I'm just really picky and lying about having an allergy. Most people are cool about it, but enough people aren't cool about it that I have a baseline of anxiety about eating food that I didn't cook- ESPECIALLY at other people's houses. I usually try to plan ahead because of this and either make sure the host is cool with accommodating my allergy or that I have safe food with me.

My partner's friends invited us to a thanksgiving with a mix of their friends and family. In the group, there are a number of other dietary restrictions including someone who's vegan and someone who's gluten free. We asked ahead of time, and the host has options to accommodate both of those dietary needs but not my allergy. We've been invited to lots of other meals at this same friend's house, and they've only tried to work around my allergy once but they still used a bunch of food with that ingredient and I ended up having to sit outside for part of the day because the smell was making me sick. Last year we also went to a thanksgiving at their house, but it was after our own thanksgiving so I just brought leftovers. However, this year the friend's meal will be a week before we're cooking so I won't have any leftovers.

When discussing it with my partner, I said I would just bring a sandwich. They said that would be rude, and suggested I buy and cook a turkey breast before the friend's gathering. They also said that I don't have to go if I don't feel comfortable. Initially, I said I still wanted to see everyone, but that I didn't see the difference between a sandwich and a turkey breast since either way I would be bringing my own food. My partner is leaving it up to me, but now I'm in my head about it and want to know what other people think. I don't want to be left out of the group because other people won't work with my allergy, but I also don't want to put in a bunch of effort to make up for the fact that other people can't be bothered to leave one ingredient out. Would I be an asshole if I just brought a sandwich instead of cooking a more on theme food?

I'm almost definitely going to have to make a decision before this gets posted, but tbh I genuinely want to know what other people think about this no matter when it gets through the queue. I wouldn't be offended if a guest brought their own food to a meal I cooked, but I'm also just one person and definitely not representative of the general population.

it was a calm, quiet afternoon in the ranch house. lance was asleep, desperate for a nap after his afternoon cardio session with his trainers, and y/n was in her home office, laptop out in front of her as her manicured fingers dragged tabs around the homescreen, a pinterest board full of white dresses open on her phone. the couple's two year old golden retriever was sitting under the desk, resting his head against her lap.

"you're going to be the best ring bearer, aren't you, boy?" she giggled to herself, carding her fingers through whistler's fur as she looked back at the wedding blog open on her screen. whistler licked her fingertips, almost as if the dog was agreeing with her.

that being said, nerves were high on the morning of the wedding, and y/n had to be talked down more than once so that she would be ready to walk down the aisle.

and now that moment was finally here. she walked out of the dressing room to meet with her parents, who would be walking down the aisle with her, as per jewish tradition. lance had gone down the aisle moments earlier with claire-ann and lawrence beside him.

the bars to 'november rain' began to play, and y/n took a deep breath before she walked into the banquet hall with her parents. her hands were shaking, and she tried not to look around and notice how many people were in the room.

she would celebrate with them all later.

she tried not to think about anything as she stepped up the small wooden stairs (not many steps, just three) to the altar. lance stood underneath the arch of roses (they'd decided against the traditional jewish canopy, but would have their parents stand at the four corners in principle), looking dashing in his mint green suit. he was restless, messing with the white rose on his lapel before wiping at his eye.

"were you crying?" y/n giggled quietly, reaching for her husband's hand

"what, no." lance laughed. "there's gotta be some pollen in here or something."

"good, because if you cry, i'll cry."

weeks, even months later, if you had asked y/n what the rabbi had said during the ceremony, she probably wouldn't have been able to tell you, even though the entire thing had been videotaped for the happy couple. the entire world narrowed down to that altar, to her and lance.

The sun’s gentle light gleams in streaks throughout the store, illuminating each plant's colour in striking detail. From the common red rose, to the odd-looking bat flower, not a single one was left in the dark.  It was in moments like these that you truly felt at peace- at home. The silence, the colours and the smells. It was where you belonged. 

A sharp ding interrupts your peace, daring to shatter your dreamland. A scowl flits across your face before it settles- you have a job to do after all. Turning to the store’s entrance, you accidentally lock eyes with a customer. Blue captures your vision, a blistering sort of shade- hurts to look at for too long. The owner of said eyes, a tall- recluse looking man, flinches at your gaze and hurriedly scuttles into the store isles. You huff, stepping from your solitary spot to seek him out. Hopefully, your assistance will make him leave quicker.

You’re almost directly behind him as you watch his movements. His slumped form is currently looking at the Medinilla Magnifica- the Rose Grape in layman’s terms, a difficult plant to care for. It’s high maintenance, requiring a humidity of 90%- and no less! Along with its general temperature requirements, as well as its pickiness for remaining still. Like a child, but worse. He doesn’t seem fussed however, gently running his scarred hands along one on display. Not many are kept in store due to their maintenance, but there are plenty of seeds available. He picks up a pack, turning it around and seemingly reading its details. Putting a fake pep in your step, you finally stand by his side.

“Welcome!” You speak, a gentle dulcet tone lacing your voice. He jumps, nearly dropping the packet. “I see you’re interested in our Rose Grape flowers! Hard to look after, is that what you’re looking for?” Tilting your head cutely, hands clasped in front of your front- hopefully he couldn’t sense the distaste lingering. He stares at you with disgustingly wide eyes, taking a good minute to compose himself. When he finally speaks, you’re pleasantly surprised. His voice isn’t extremely deep, but it has a nice rasp and almost husky tone. “Yes, uh- I enjoy difficult plants…” He doesn’t elaborate, so you do it for him, “Ah! You must have experience then! Do you have a lot of plants at home? Maybe a garden even?” Another pause lingers as he finds his voice once more, this time with a smile gracing his lips. Cute.

He looks wistfully towards the display, “No garden, I live in an apartment- but I have a lot of plants. I love them, they need me- it’s nice.” odd statement, but you lean into it. “Plants are pretty delicate, we’re their life force after all- dictating if they live or die.” His eyes gain a shimmer at your words, and he stands up slightly straighter- excitement filtering into his voice. “Y-yeah, that’s true!...” The poor man can’t seem to find anything else to say, so you wrap up the interaction.

“So, anything else you’re after?” You pointedly look into his eyes this time, and watch him gulp. 

“Just- um- just a few things… I’ll be a moment.” You nod, swivelling away just to look back at him, “I’ll be at the checkout when you’re ready!” He doesn’t respond.

A short time later he floats to your desk, gently laying out his purchases in front of you. He fidgets with his fingers as you scan the items, his eyes lingering on your face. You read out the price, and he reaches to hand you cash. Your fingertips graze and you only just notice the way he shivers, it’s almost endearing. “W-what’s your- uh- name?” He stammers, a sudden confidence bursting through his veins. You smile, give your name to him, and ask for his in return.

He smiles,

“Lawrence.”

Thinks doing parkour is super cool but would never attempt it himself. He warns you not to break any bones, though he knows you'll be okay (he just cares too much haha)

I feel like you two can learn from each other. You might have moments where you need to learn which fork to use at a fancy restaurant and Riddle might want to know how to deadlift without hurting himself

He honestly needs to train his stamina a bit. Sure he's extremely strong in terms of lifting weights, but he can't run very far. If you happen to be a jogger, you should invite him to take runs together!

He likes that you don't care about what other people think of you. He grew up having to put so much attention into making sure he was perfect, so it's refreshing to see someone quite the opposite

Will he do parkour? No, but the tweels might join you and convince him (pressure him) into attempting some tricks

He's known to be super flexible (can dance well) so I wouldn't be surprised if you two did parkour together and almost got in trouble once (only once though)

He will ask you not to run in the rain in case you get sick. He likes seeing you happy but he doesn't want to see you sit in bed for a few days with a fever. He'll take care of you if you do end up catching a cold though

Kalim will also enjoy your company a lot, honestly Jamil might feel like he's taking care of two Kalims from time to time haha

Also pretty chill about your interests. I don't see him being very picky about what you do and don't do as long as you don't get hurt!

The complete opposite of a lot of the characters above. He hates running through mud, getting dirty, etc etc. He'll want you to try something else but he won't stop you from doing what you enjoy

Similar to Riddle I feel like you two should learn from each other. Vil might help you learn new skills in sewing for example while you can teach him a few parkour tricks

If he catches you running in the mud, he might ask you not to step into his room :/

Overall though I feel like he won't worry too much about you other than making sure you aren't getting sick. He does want you to be happy but sometimes the mud that gets on your clothes makes him feel sick

sometimes whenever I see an artist art style I can't help but wonder their strength points and weak points, I do this with myself as well because that's how you get better at things you are not good at.

I know most people that are not artists can't tell apart when someone uses the same face syndrome or they aren't good by changing much how they draw one thing that it gets the same way when they try something different.

I struggle with drawing women not because I can't draw them, I used to draw them a lot in the past but now is the opposite, I draw men most of the time because I have more m/m ships than anything else. I don't like to try a genderbend version of my male ships because I'm not too confident nor can't pick how I want it to look at, meanwhile I see some artists can't draw this concept well and it's the same male ship with the same face syndrome but with longer hair and ...melons.

So sometimes I can't help but feel too picky with the concept of how to draw a different version of the same character if they were x thing, on prsk feels like it doesn't matter if you draw the Yuri version well or not, just for the fact that being women is enough to just boost the artist ego which it can be damaging sometimes in my opinion.

It feels that no one can actually give a proper feed back on how to draw things, you don't need to be an asshole to comment that way tbh but I don't know if it's because people are more worried about the artist stopping drawing their favorite content or what, but I suppose most of prsk kids just care about that the artist draw what they want rather than see them improving as an artist.

I can't help but feel no one in this fandom can properly draw a fem ruikasa version of my liking...it feels to go back to that phase where all what I saw in my tl was fem skk and it was a copy paste of the same concept over and over again, creativity is slowly dying and I barely find someone being daring enough to try something others won't do just to fit a normative.

1. okok so Nancy is totally Red color. And she has a lot of clothes in that color or similar, like pink or something like that. Charin has clothes in all colors because he's silly like that, but the specific color is probably brown

2. I always imagined they would listen to jazz or electro swing tbh. While Nancy would be okay with everything, Charin would complain about most things that weren't on his playlist. He doesn't have a playlist, he just uses it as an excuse to complain about every sound he doesn't like. I don't think they have a favorite band, they just listen to the local ones like "Jazz-squatch and the howling cryptids" or something. They both probably prefer something without lyrics, because then they don't have to think about the words.

3. Nancy accepts any animal, Charin likes cats. As long as those cats don't try to skin him.

4. They don't have any but Nancy calls Charin "Char" because she thinks a serious name doesn't suit him

9. Nancy is the type of person who looks calm until you cross the line and then the demon gets into her and she doesn't need lemons to burn down your house. Charin gets mad faster but he's not very good at talking so Nancy usually comes to take his side in arguments with others anyway

10. Both can sing. Nancy has a voice similar to Oktavia on YouTube (channel with songs) and uh. Charin maybe sounds kinda like idk, Crane from King fu Panda? Very random comparison tbh 💀

11. Eyesight. Nancy literally wears glasses, but she can do without them unless she has to read or thread needles. She has good hearing. Charin has great eyesight and hearing lmao

12. They don't have any problems? They walk great, especially since they both wear heels :p

14. they give gifts to each other often but they are not the best at giving them to others. Nancy just bakes cakes for other people and Charin jumps on it as if they were giving it together. Accepting gifts from others is a bit awkward but they are happy when it is useful things like porcelain or pots

15. Charin has a box of rocks under the bed. And gems too. In the bedroom, there are often stones arranged on shelves by him, but never ask what determines their order, because he will give you a whole day essay on this subject. Nancy doesn't seem to have anything like that.
