I used to like someone's art a lot before but they disappointed me in an artist level, lost my respect and their art style became worse because not only now they draw just to get followers and likes only and keep the appearance of a nice person but also they just don't put effort on anything and always draw the same poses, becoming unoriginal and boring with their ruikasa art. I only can tell that when you only seek attention it is not going to make you a better artist tbh.

I'm not one to tell anyone what to do or whatsoever but it's sad when an artist doesn't get better at art but the opposite just to find acceptance on a fandom that is as toxic as their fans.

Why every hakapega au is just Tsukasa dying, Rui being a depresso cat and that's it...no one has a better idea than use this au just to torture Rui with it?

Black, everything is black.

No matter where you watch, there's only darkness surrounding. He wasn't sure where he was and how he ended there, when he opened his eyes all he could see was darkness. There was no sound either and he felt his own body heavy, he barely could step forward looking for an exit or somewhere where to go.

Then he spotted something, no, someone at a distance. His sunset eyes opened wide when he realized the person was familiar to him, someone he considered the closest to him. He tried to walk towards his direction, his legs felt so heavy that he felt almost impossible to reach him but he wasn't going to give up.

He didn't want to give up.

When he finally reached him, he felt something was off, the person in front of him didn't move.

It was strange but that didn't stop him from calling his game but when he tried to do it, his voice didn't come out from his mouth.

He tried one, two, three times, nothing came from his throat. Then the person in front of him finally moved, turning around to see him.

Two emotionless piercing golden eyes looked into his sunset ones.

And that's when he realized why the person didn't talk.

There was blood over all his face, scratches, cuts that looked made from something sharp, knife or a sword even. His body had a countless amount of wounds as well, all his clothes were dirty and covered in blood. This person was dead...

No, he knew why this person, no, why Rui Kamishiro was dead.

The last thing he saw was his lips moving but no a single sound came from those pale lips.

In cold sweat, all of a sudden, Tsukasa woke up from his sleep. His eyes were dilated and he was panting, what he just had was a nightmare and it was the first time in months he had one. He took a moment to calm down, using one of his hands to cover his face.

'that dream again...' he thought for a moment, trying to recall as much as he could about what exactly happened but despite knowing his nightmare was connected to the past he was trying to let go, it was hard. Once his breathing became normal he noticed he had something on top of him. Then remembered where he actually was...

He was at Rui's place, he was now sitting on his couch and covered in Rui's grey sweater from school. The deity looked down at the clothes and felt his own cheeks start to burn a little by the sudden realization.

Then looked up to spot Rui in front of him.

The young director was sleeping on his desk, his face resting onto the table, his face was peaceful. Tsukasa couldn't help but smile sheepishly at the sight of Rui sleeping soundly.

'right...we came back from school and while I waited for him to finish his work, I fell asleep.' he decided to get up slowly from his spot and walk towards where Rui was to place the sweater he used to cover himself to put it over his shoulders.

For a moment he stayed there watching him in silence. His eyes reflected nostalgia mixed with sadness.

"you are as hardworking as I remembered you were." He murmured softly, his lips formed a small smile. "but I know, even if you look like him, you are not him...you are different." After he said those words he tried to recall how was when he was with his lover in the past but something made him feel a bit disturbed.

Then the nightmare returned to his mind, Tsukasa opened his eyes, placing a hand on top of his head, close to where his horns were.

"I don't remember...what he said before dying...but I remember how he died? Why is it getting harder to remember?" He whispered and then looked at Rui sleeping a bit troubled.

Something was wrong and without saying another word he decided to let Rui sleep in peace and leave the garage, climbing on top of a tree and then jump towards Rui's rooftop. It was late, the sky was filled with a lot of stars and Tsukasa felt the breeze touch his skin and move his long beautiful blonde peached hair. He sat down on the edge and looked up at the sky in silence.

He remembered watching the stars at night when he felt troubled about something, he used to do this whenever he felt lost or confused over something, in the past, he did this with his little siblings and even with his lover but they have been gone for...a lot of time that he is now used to do this alone.

Even in those nights when he didn't know what to do about finding out Rui's reincarnation, he watched the sky in search of an answer.

Tsukasa brought his legs towards his chest and rested his chin onto his knee, closing his eyes a moment. He knew all that was happening to him was the result of his actions, he was sentenced to live all the eternity alone after what he did.

It was painful to live for all the eternity knowing no one will remember you but he was starting to feel that was not all.

What if he was slowly losing his own memories too...? What if one day he wouldn't be able to remember how his life was when he met his adorable human siblings, his best friend and the person his loved the most, what if he lost those precious memories he had about them? He clenched his hands around his legs, he didn't want to forget anything even if it was painful enough to remember them, that's all what he had left from them.

None of their reincarnations remember him, so the last thing he wanted now was to forget about them.

'they said this was my punishment...but they never mentioned I would also forget, why? Why did this happen?' he told to himself in his mind, he felt almost crying.

Until he heard a voice.

"Tsukasa-kun?"

The dragon opened his eyes startled and turned his face to meet the younger male approaching from behind. Tsukasa immediately rubbed his eyes, trying to hide the fact that he had some tears on the corner of his eyes.

"I thought you were sleeping a-and I didn't want to disturb you." He replied with a small voice, he tried to hide his shaky voice. The director sat next to him and simply looked in the same direction Tsukasa was looking at before he arrived.

"I didn't see you there so I thought to look for you, I didn't want you to leave after knowing you have slept outside for almost a month, it's getting cold now and I don't mind you staying at my place while I work on something." He explained with a soft voice, that kind of voice Tsukasa was too weak to hear and reminded him one of the many reasons why he loved Kamishiro Rui, at least, the one he remembered and loved.

The former deity simply sighed and looked back at the sky, thoughtful.

"I wasn't going to...leave without saying goodbye." Rui turned his gaze to watch Tsukasa when he said that, it didn't seem like he was saying that to him but someone else.

"Tsukasa-kun maybe you..."

"Rui, can I ask you a question?"

Silence.

Rui noticed something was bothering him but decided to just follow whatever Tsukasa needed to say.

"of course, what is it?"

The dragon took a small breathe before asking.

"do you have any regrets about your past actions? ...if you could mend any mistakes you did, would you do it?" He seemed a bit hesitant to ask but he didn't know what to think about himself and needed an answer. The young human stared at him for a moment in silence, surprised by his question and after a while, he smiled and looked at the sky.

Tsukasa just watched curiously at him awaiting for his answer.

"no...there's nothing I would change, my mistakes made me the person I'm now." He simply answered and the blonde dragon just stared at him a bit confused.

"I have always been a lonely person, my childhood is filled with a lot of... Bittersweet memories, I have always been perceived as the odd one by my classmates and...I'm sure if it wasn't because my parents raised me with so much love maybe ...maybe I would've been a different person." He placed one hand against his chest and continued.

"forgetting those lonely days would've made my suffer end right away, or maybe not, I don't know but keeping those memories with me allowed me to find kindness within me, allowed me to be kind with others, to understand and also...to find where I belong." He said with a gentle smile, Tsukasa only opened his eyes wide in realization.

Rui was probably scared but that didn't stop him from moving forward and kept looking for his own answers that made him the person he is now in front of him.

"I see, you are right, you are an odd human." The deity joked grinning at him, Rui chuckled a bit ashamed.

"I might be but that's not all." Tsukasa blinked a bit confused, he noticed some determination in Rui's eyes when he continued talking.

"I was able to meet you thanks to all those mistakes and I don't regret it at all, my life has been way more enjoyable thanks to that." He said without a second thought.

Tsukasa only stared at him in disbelief, perhaps because he has never been told this since forever so it was an odd feeling, yet warm and nice feeling he forgot he could feel.

His first reaction was to burst into laughter, he laughed so hard that used one hand to hold his stomach and another to cover his eyes a moment, Rui looked at him confused, not understanding why he was laughing.

"hahahaha..ah....you are really so strange, Rui." He finally said and Rui simply sighed resigned to be called like that forever but he liked it when that kind of comments came from the god.

"but...I have to thank you for that." He finally said, getting up all the sudden, looking at the starry sky above them, Rui just watched the beautiful sight of the god he was in love with who finally looked as bright as he was used to see him.

"I need to stop being so afraid of a past that is already past and move forward to the future, even if I don't know what's going to happen, I'm not alone."

"yes, you are not alone Tsukasa-kun." He repeated the same words to reaffirm the value it had and Tsukasa smiled at him gently.

His answer has always been next to him, he doesn't know what is going to happen or if in the end he will end up losing more memories. He didn't have to fear, he is creating new memories next to someone he cares about and slowly healing those old wounds he had from his past mistakes.

He knows he will be okay from now on.

This is what he would've wanted him to do too, he is sure.

I'm meaning to do another similar comic like the one I did for sorcevalier but with drangonkasa because like I said once, I love the meaning behind the stars and Tsukasa considers himself like one and he is symbolized with a star, despite that in my AUS he is nothing compared to his canon self, the characters around him, Rui, Akito and the others, see him as one anyways, so the parallel about using the same starry sky it's cute.
