Tagged by @nyanberri! I have too many OCs to choose from so I’ll uhhh just take Lexy/Lexie/Lexi I guess bc she’s my KH OC and I’ve met you through KH. and bc I need to flesh her out more Putting it under a cut for length and some KH spoilers until like KH3-ish

1. Do they have a morning routine that they do to get ready for the day? What about a night routine?
Aside from the standard get dressed, brush teeth, etc, not really.
2. Is there anything specific that they need before they go to bed? A night light? Warm milk? Maybe a story?
She didn’t before, but after she and her family got attacked by Shadows, she started writing a journal each night, and some nights she needs a night light.
3. Do they have a skin care routine? If so is it long or short?
Not really skin care, but she’s tried out a lot of scar creams. I’d put more info but all google gives me is “How to get rid of scars” and not “How to make sure they don’t feel uncomfortable”
4. Do they like tight clothes or loose clothes?
Either is fine as long as it’s colorful, she’s basically a walking rainbow.
5. What is their favorite color?
Do you have to make her choose...? I guess if she has to, she likes dark blue, the sky just after sunset. Or the red of Axel’s hair and the black of his coat
6. What kind of stuff do they dream about? What do they have nightmares about?
Most of her dreams are those weird dreams that make you go “????” but when you think a bit you can easily decipher which happenings during the day caused what part of the dream. Nightmares, though, usually have to do with her or people she cares about getting cornered by a hulking black mass with piercing yellow eyes.
7. Do they have any special talents? Singing? Dancing? Playing an instrument?
Well it’s definitely not playing poker, Lexi can’t do a pokerface to save her life lmao. She’s gotten a little bit of training with different weapons, but not much, like, Sora’s experience with wooden swords was probably better than what she can do at the start of her journey.
8. Are they active? If so what do they do? Workout? Play a sport?
She’s gotten Axel, Demyx, Roxas, and Xion to teach her a little bit of fighting cringe is dead my OC is friends with half the Org deal with it but not a lot tbh, especially since it’s several different fighting styles that she now knows the basics in, but none she’s actually good at.
9. What is something that they are really passionate about?
“Listen Nobodies DO have emotions, I HAVE BEEN HANGING OUT WITH THEM FOR AGES, EVEN THEY REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT because they’re all IDIOTS, but trust me I know that!”
10. Do they ever have a self care or 'me’ day? If so, what do they do?
Lexy is a total extrovert and loves company, so a “me” day usually still involves hanging out with other people. Maybe if she really just wants to relax, hanging out with Demyx specifically and listen to him play the sitar.
11. What’s something they’re secretly really insecure about? Is it something physical or maybe something related to who they are or what they identify as?
Her non-existent fighting skills. Lexie kinda-sorta joins Sora’s group for the timeline of KH2, and she tries but especially at the start she’s just... Not good at it. And if she faces Shadow Heartless she has almost no chance because she tends to freeze up then. She does get better at fighting over time though.
12. Have they ever dated? If so, how did their last relationship end?
She’s probably had a few dates as a teen, maybe a partner, but nothing too serious. She’s (with almost no success) trying to hide that she’s got a crush on Axel/Lea, and they finally get together around DDD.
13. Do they care about quality or quantity with their work?
When it’s for friends, quality, otherwise she’s kinda just “eh, good enough” for stuff.
14. What is their favorite scent?
The smell of a campfire. Heat in general is nice (hot water smells different than cold water I swear), but campfires especially.
15. What is their favorite genre of music?
Lexi’s fine with whatever tbh, but it varies a bit on her mood. If she’s stressed or just wants to chill, she’s taken a liking to sitar music, otherwise she really likes pop.
16. What do they usually have for a midnight snack?
Nothing, usually.
17. Have they ever snapped because of what someone said or did to them? If so what happened? Do they regret it and did they apologize?
Theoretically that scene isn’t written yet, buuuut. Lexie’s best friend is Demyx. Sora is not exactly sad about killing her best friend. I’d say it’s pretty damn understandable for Lexie to get pissed off in that situation. She’s very emotional in general so probably snapped at people in general when it came to the topic of Nobodies; sometimes she’d apologize, but not always.
18. Do they have any kind of medical condition? If so what? Asthma, kidney disease, etc.
Well I’m pretty sure having her parents and almost herself killed in a Heartless attack could’ve caused PTSD, so I need to do some research on that before writing more with her.
19. Have they ever had a panic attack? If so, what caused it and how were they able to calm down?
Well, I’m pretty sure seeing the monsters who killed your parents and seeing your friends and crush killed in front of you can cause those - The Shadows moreso directly, while the friends/crush stuff usually needed a while to really hit. Like, so much happening it once, that a few hours or days afterwards it hits her all at once and she just. Curls up somewhere.
20. What are they genuinely afraid of?
Shadow Heartless, and losing people she cares about (yeah she’s gonna suffer). As for the Shadows, she knows there’s stronger and more dangerous Heartless around, but the Shadows scare her the most.
21. How organized are their living spaces? Do they keep things clean or are they disorganized?
“Damn girl you live like that?” Her room’s chaos, but somehow she always knows where stuff is.
22. If they ever had a YouTube channel, what would they make videos about?
Pretty scenery videos around Twilight Town. The view from the clock tower, pretty places in the woods around the city, etc.
23. Do they have a birthmark or any scars? If so how do they feel about them and how did they get their scars?
Lexi’s pretty much covered in scars. Her family wanted to get out of Twilight Town when the Heartless started becoming more and more, but didn’t make it all the way to the train station - Lexy’s parents got killed in the attack, and Lexy almost died. Her little sister is the only one who got away without physical damage.
24. Are they the type to start or finish fights?
Hm... Neither and both. Lexi can get worked up quickly, so arguments with her might get heated, but she usually wouldn’t start an actual fight, especially since she calms down pretty quickly, her emotions burn hot and bright but not long.
25. Do they like cuddling? If so are they a big spoon or a little spoon?
Yes.
26. Do they prefer baths or showers?
Baths, though she usually takes showers because it’s quicker.
27. How do they sleep? Do they stay in one position all night or do they toss and turn? Do they snore or talk in their sleep?
Lexi sometimes mumbles in her sleep, and she moves around a lot. That’s how you can tell she has a nightmare: She moves almost not al all when she has one.

Technically not touch starved, but yes, she’d love a hug.

She likes all of them on occasion, but she’s especially fond of spicy food and all kinds of curry.

She’s got a stuffed animal that belonged to her little sister, and a few of her own. Other than that a few trinkets that were gifts from friends, but most of them are too recent to be called “from her childhood”.

She had two mothers until she was around 16. After they passed, family wise she was alone for a very long time. Now, the Ryes treat her as family and, at some point, Savannah would be her wife. She’s close with Kim and she’d never let anything happen to Carmina. She’s fast friends with Nick when they get him back-- she’s always glad to see a good man who has no issue being soft or saying “i love you”

She went to school up until shortly before the bombs fell, and her mothers did their best to teach what they could in the bunker.
29. What was childhood like?
The first 12 or so years were in Scotland. She was pretty healthy and well balanced. She enjoyed music, knew some instruments and got voice lessons. She was pretty athletic too, planning to do something military-centric when she was old enough. She and her mothers moved to the west coast of the states when she was twelve. It was maybe a year before the bombs fell.
30. What was adolescence like?
The first couple years were in the “bunker”, which was barely more than a multi-roomed basement shared between her and her mothers-- their neighbor, who’d offered them the shelter, didn’t make it in. He hadn’t been home when the bombs fell. The food ran out maybe two years in and she got to spend a year with her parents above ground before they were killed. The rest of her adolescence was spent mostly alone, living in a small shelter in the woods. She rarely had contact with people, only ever to trade. Once or twice she’d lead people out of the woods. It wasn’t until she was nineteen or so that she joined Rush.
31. What’s their current main conflict?
Loooooooooooots of self-hatred. Sure, there’s the whole highwaymen deal, but her hatred of herself makes it hard for her to make friends because she honestly doesn’t believe she deserves to have them.
32. What steps have they taken to overcome this conflict?
She doesn’t, really, until after that whole deal with Joseph and the apple and the bear. She of the mind it was just a drug trip, but it did make her think about who she is. Made her afraid she really had become something monstrous. After a breakdown and some help from Savannah, she actively tries to be a better, warmer person.
33. How have they changed over time?
Her trying to change helps her a lot. She goes from being pretty quiet, pretty grumpy, and antisocial, to being a happier, more open, but still pretty quiet woman. She teaches Carmina some songs on the guitar and plays more often for the people in Prosperity.
34. What’s their room look like right now?
I mean idk how the rooming situation is in Prosperity, but if she’s able to have a room that’s more private, she probably shares it with Savannah, after a point. Might have some plants and her guitar leaning in the corner. If it’s a shared room situation, she probably sticks to the bare minimum as to not take up too much space. Maybe a trunk under the bed with her clothes and a couple trinkets.

Literally if anything hurts you she will hunt it down. If she considers you a friend, she’ll make sure you know it.

Romantic partner, I’m assuming, she’s loving and protective, but often restrained. She doesn’t like to overstep boundaries.

Water. She can swim but fuck does she hate the feeling of something about to get her. Selene’s quest did not help that.

Her parents took her to Disney once, but otherwise no.

Oh this is pretty hard.... Violin-centric, maybe. And the tempo would be different depending on which point of her life. A lively one for early life, a mournful one for like…. 16-32. Happier again after that.

Her mothers dying for sure! She went from being a hopeful young woman to almost spiteful. Killing the men who killed her parents was what sealed the deal.

Yup parent death is still gonna be lowest point. It was sudden and painful and no one involved deserved it. Highest point is when she finally breaks free of that depression and realizes she doesn’t have to hate herself anymore.

Big surprise but….. Mitali was definitely inspired in equal parts by Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross (so Lost Legacy, in a nutshell). Also some great wolf related aesthetic pictures.

Well this is an unexpectedly deep question that I’m going to avoid due to my own self-worth lol

I expected to have her be very heavily military, but I ended up with a woman who only really wants to be a wife and just love the woman she marries with all of her heart and she wants to raise a kid and just have a good and happy family.

She doesn’t know what she wants but she needs love. Any kind. Platonic, romantic, whichever.

Protective to a fault. It can be both their best and worst trait, but their real worst trait is her self-hate. The two things interacting usually lead her to cutting herself off from friends so they’re “better off without her”.

She wants some goddamn rest and the ability to go on a proper date with her girlfriend. She wants to see her dads again. She wants to be certain she won’t wake up and find herself kidnapped again.

Is “sunshine” a trait? She’s a happy sort of person and likes to show it. Smiles a whole lot. Best trait is her willingness to trust. Worst trait… she can hold a grudge. For a LONG time. Holding a grudge can keep her from mending bridges, so it doesn’t act terribly well with happy & trusting. And when it does, she’s happy to hold a grudge lol.

Ideally I'd go to sleep around 6 in the morning and wake up at 2 p.m. As is I usually go to sleep anywhere from 1 to 4 a.m. and wake up anywhere from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. depending on everyone's schedule for the day. It's SO bad and I really need to get better, but it's so unnatural for me to sleep at night. My body actively fights it and always has. I'm trying to retrain myself to just go to sleep when it's still p.m. at night, but it's not going well.
47. what is your favorite memory? I have so many. Of course the important ones involving my husband and kids, but I love when my best friends and I are just sitting around and we'll say "remember that time..." and then a few minutes later we're laughing hysterically.
48. What is the best gift you’ve ever received? When my family and I were really struggling, I didn't want to talk about it much. But somehow a group of women I've never met (but have talked to for years on Facebook) realized what was going on and sent us $300. It paid some bills and the rest went on groceries but knowing that they cared... I'll never, ever forget that.

if you include his godfather, three.
2. How good are they at tongue twisters?
i dont think he has a natural talent for them, but he’s also spent a LOT of time by himself out on the road, so he’s probably gotten bored enough to practice some of them, so he’s decent at a few.
3. Biggest regret?
didn’t do as much as he could have to save his sister
4. Are they formally trained or have they gone through a more organic learning experience for their skillset?
a weird mix of both? with magic, he started out being trained formally and then was self-taught while he was on the road. with weapons, some of the kajitanni guards that were with him & marcus taught him, but it wasn’t in a formal setting it was just while they were traveling.
5. If they could hang out with one famous person in 18th century American History, who would they want to hang out with?
i do not know or care enough about 18th century american history to have an answer to this question
6. What’s their theme song?
probably Run or Hide by Run River North atm (pre-game beginning, probably The Road by Frank Turner)

i didn’t really base him off of any existing character, so i don’t know! but i do relate him to anastasia (from the movie/musical) a bit, although that’s almost entirely due to the whole “secret royalty” bit and the fact that some of the songs kinda fit. personality wise i don’t think they have anything in common tho.

a mix of both, but i’d say he leans a bit more hero.

i don’t know what food actually exists in canon but he likes spicy foods! and any food that reminds him of stuff he liked as a kid.

one horse-sized duck. like yeah, it’s bigger, but it’s way easier to get a couple good hits on one big creature and take it down than having to deal with a shit ton of smaller creatures. that would take…so long, especially with his fighting style. precision is easier w/ a single target.
19. They have to go live on a deserted island. They can take one thing and one person. What do they take?
can you take a boat? if not, he’d take a dagger. and he’d bring lumley, because she’s his best friend, is a ranger and therefore would be pretty useful in the wilderness, and also can just make fresh water whenever she wants.
20. Are they religious? If so, what god or gods do they serve?
not really? he wasn’t raised in any specific religion, although he does believe in gods in general and has some reverence for them. he just doesn’t actively worship anyone.
21. How did they become an adventurer?
uh, depends on what point you deem the beginning of him being an adventurer? one point would be that after the death of his family, he basically lived on the road for a decade while in hiding, and when he was sixteen started formally acting as a spy, traveling back and forth from the desert by himself carrying information.
i guess you could also technically consider his “call to adventure” to be when he received a “wedding invitation” from the high councilor’s daughter and accompanied lumley to the kajitanni capital where nasuada was like “hey you’re gonna do even more dangerous spy stuff now” and he was like “okay sure i guess” and now here we are
22. Most amazing monster they have ever killed or helped kill?
none? he helped fight some ppl who were attacking the kajitanni capital but that’s about it.
23. Thoughts on death?
doesn’t want it to happen to him any time soon, but when he does he hopes he’ll be reunited with his family again.

he has a history proficiency because he’s a fucking nerd.

xiall! he had one for a bit when he was younger, her name was hazel & he loved her a lot

i think he generally sides with civilization, but not at the expense of the destruction of nature. i think that he would ideally want to find a balance between the two.

he either tries to talk his way out of it or tries to slip away without being noticed
28. What do they do between quests?
i’m not sure i’d call it “between quests” but in his downtime he likes to explore whatever city or town he’s in. although this usually results in him looking for a bookstore and buying a new book or two and then spending the rest of his downtime reading.
29. Biggest positive and negative influences on their life and development?
positive: most of the adults in his life, honestly? his dad was a big positive influence, as was alduri, but even after they weren’t part of his life anymore, people like marcus and ezna picked up the slack and gave him some sort of support system to rely on and some stability in his life (which he did not have a lot of)
negative: does it have to be a person? because most of the people in his life have been pretty good for him. if anything, the most negative impact on his life came from him being by himself so much, and not really having any friends his age.

Okay so the guy in Panama, right. We were at a bar and met up with one of his friends, a colombian guy. We were chatting and I mentioned that while in Colombia I never tried the Bandeja Paisa (national dish) because it’s massive and I was never hungry enough. He was almost horrified that I hadn’t tried it. He then found out that it was my last day in central america so he made a couple of phone calls and changed all of their plans. Originally panama guy was going to go back to the friend’s place and stay there for a few days before he flew back home. Instead, the three of us went and picked up the friend’s wife, drove out to their place an hour out of the city, while we each drank several beers, so they could shower and get changed. We then drove back to the city and went to a colombian place for dinner so I could try that dish. We then hung out in a bar for a few hours and drank and played pool and then panama guy stayed with me in my hotel for my last night.
Literally, this guy that I’d never met before changed all of his plans, without prompting, so that his friend could spend one more night with a girl (me).That was pretty cool. I also never mentioned anything to this guy about me and panama guy being together so clearly panama guy had briefed him beforehand.

1. What do they smell like? - he smells very clean like all the time, he’s the cleanest smelling Galra you’ll ever meet LOL
2. What is their voice like? - John Boyega
3. What is their biggest motivator? - fear tbh, he does everything out of fear
4. What is their most embarrassing memory? - too many to name LOL
5. How do they deal with/react to pain? - crying, sobbing, that sort of thing
6. What do they like to wear? - he wears his armor all the time, it’s the only clothes he has
7. Which of their relationships have impacted them most positively? - Thace, because he was the first person to ever be nice to Ty, and Fae because she gave him a second chance and gave him a new home away from the Galra army
8. What’s the weirdest thing they’ve ever eaten? - all Altean food is weird LOL
9. Describe the way that they sleep. - he struggles getting to sleep sometimes, and he will wake up at the drop of a hat. thunderstorms are the worst, he’ll stay awake through the whole storm, poor baby

In-game, usually just his ID card. Outside of the game, other than essentials like ID, wallet, etc. he carries mints around.

Masashi doesn’t really… get afraid. I mean he would have during his childhood but again, no specific event.
He’s definitely experiencing something in-game that could… potentially be classified as making him “afraid” but spoilers. And it’s not really related to the mutual-killing biz.

As for the second part, uh... I honestly can’t remember what I was referring to LMAO
but I can definitely say his feelings for Holly have made him “afraid”, at least in some sort. he’s never actually cared for anyone and he knows that he won’t be afraid to hurt her even though he cares for her, because hurting someone he cares about? delightful. but yeah he’s also rational (I mean in some cases) and doesn’t want to do that to someone he cares about, he just... knows he would.
12. In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
he always calm

Not at all.

New: Honestly all the modified questions should be very predictable for you now. his biggest flaw is his lack of empathy and actually caring about anyone due to his symphorophilia. so he tends to just have his fun with people before doing something stupid. ...actually this still applies to the very rare case he actually does care about someone, like holly, because he’ll still do something stupid eventually.

Masashi would just make observations rather than compare himself to someone, although the times he ever would compare himself to others would be for both self-validation and self-criticism… for spoiler reasons.

He’s very quick to suspect someone else, but only because it doesn’t change his opinion of them. Like… he doesn’t care. As usual.

It’s kinda situational depending on who’s confronting him. In most cases he’d just try to defuse the situation/appease the person. In the other cases he’d just instigate them further and generally be a smug asshole oops.

Slow. Masashi’s a noodle, he won’t resort to physical violence unless, somehow, he’s absolutely certain he’d prevail. …I really can’t see that situation happening in a normal 1v1 type confrontation.

Being a musician à la piano (hi Ayato). It did not come true, obviously.
