The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour - 018 09/14/23 Defy TV 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST Filmed at the Good Time Theatre at Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania
SEGMENT ONE (SEVEN MINUTES):
- Sudu Upadhyay welcomed viewers back for another week of The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour. As Sudu spoke about Jake Something and Vincent Nothing's plan to deduce the identity of Giant Baba Yaga, Raven activated his soundboard and began to play the theme song from Dragnet. Raven claimed to have exclusive audio of Giant Baba Yaga being caught without the mask, and played a clip of Kramer from Seinfeld saying "Look awayâŠI'm hideous." Sudu tried to power through these clips and threw out the question about if anyone, even UltraMantis Black, knows Giant Baba Yaga's identity. Raven said that's a good point and as a journalist he'll go ask him now, and before running off played a clip of Snagglepuss saying "Exit stage left!". Sudu tried to get the segment back on track before Raven returned to wonder aloud if Giant Baba Yaga knows who UltraMantis Black is under the mask, and heâll ask her while heâs in the back. Sudu lowered his head and pinched the bridge of his nose before sending us to the show opening set to "Black Swan Lake" by Janko Nilovic.
Starboy Charlie and Alex Taylor vs. Tyler Brooks and Arson Krueger Starboy Charlie and Alex Taylor defeated Tyler Brooks and Arson Krueger with a spin kick from Charlie on Brooks. (3:12)
- Following the match, Alex Taylor made his way to the commentary booth and was eventually followed over by Starboy Charlie. Taylor said folkstyle are in action later today and he knows there has been some concern that they might interfere in the match. Alex Taylor assures everyone that Kerry Morton has advised them to move forward, Larry Zbyszko is gone and while Marcus Mathers and Brogan Finlay are still healing, all the Southern Six members, and Starboy Charlie, are better than ever. As a show of good faith, Taylor said he and Charlie will be leaving the park grounds and CORE officials can lock the doors behind them.
SEGMENT TWO (EIGHT MINUTES):
The Production (Derek Dillinger and Magnum CK) vs. T.Y. Shane and Parker Li The Production defeated T.Y. Shane and Parker Li with the superplex from CK on Li followed by a second rope moonsault from Dillinger. (2:29)
- The Production continued to attack T.Y. Shane and Parker Li after the bell. Dillinger hit an elbow strike to the back of Li's head and an elbowdrop from the top rope from Magnum soon followed. Fuego Del Sol ran out to the ring with a steel chair and The Production fled the scene.
- We joined Daphne Oz at the CORE news desk for the COal REgion Roundup. - After recapping the interview segment with Something/Nothing from last week where they unveiled their strategy to determine Giant Baba Yaga's identity, we were sent to a promo from UltraMantis Black. Mantis said that as they know, Giant Baba Yaga is contracted to have a match next week. But instead of Something/Nothing parading around a bunch of wrestlers that will prove nothing, why don't they make that match a Mask vs. Hair match next week on Defy TV. - Daphne Oz sent us to a promo from Sonny Kiss. Sonny revealed that next week the evaluation of the TrustBusters Reserve will continue as Invictus Khash will go one-on-one with Fuego Del Sol and Trench will also be in singles action. - We are then sent to live comments from Fuego Del Sol who said he was given this time to discuss his match next week with Invictus Khash, and no disrespect to Khash who is a formidable opponent, but Fuego wants to discuss The Production. Fuego said that he knows what it's like to be a young wrestler put in matches against far more seasoned and skilled wrestlers. It's very demoralizing to take matches you're pretty certain you are going to lose, but it's one way to grow and be seen. Fuego Del Sol said he's disgusted too see established wrestlers take advantage of those circumstances to hurt or injure their opponent because they don't see them as their peers. Fuego said if they want to keep pulling these stunts very soon they are going to have to try them on him.
SEGMENT THREE (EIGHT MINUTES):
Queen Aminata (with Raychell Rose) vs. Xia Brookside Queen Aminata defeated Xia Brookside via submission with the Juicy Lock. (6:40)
SEGMENT FOUR (EIGHT MINUTES):
- When we return from break Jake Something and Vincent Nothing are in front of the commentary booth. Jake Something said they heard the challenge for a Mask vs. Hair match next week against Giant Baba Yaga. Jake Something said he has just made his return to Impact Wrestling, and not only would it be very humiliating, but he might even get fired if he shows up to the next Impact taping completely unrecognizable. But that Vincent Nothing is ready to take the risk and he'll put his hair on the line against Giant Baba Yaga's mask next week! With that Vincent Nothing produced a can of Rogaine and began to lather the foam into his bald scalp as an annoyed Sudu Upadhyay called for them to leave the area so they could get to the next match.
folkstyle (Shaw Mason/Tim Bosby/Hunter Holdcraft) vs. The Potato Dumpling Gang (Cowpoke Paul/"Quickdraw" Shelby Wylder/"Cowboy" Cliff Rogers) folkstyle defeated The Potato Dumpling Gang with the ripcord clothesline from Bosby on Wylder. (3:16)
- folkstyle shook hands with their opponents after the match before being attacked by three men that emerged from opposite sides of the crowd. The men proceeded to toss the members of folkstyle around the ring with a fair deal of ease and technique. This made sense when the men were later determined to be Kal Jak, a former Pac-10 wrestling champion with Oregon State, Madman Fulton, a two time NCAA All-American in Greco-Roman wrestling, and Levi Cooper, an All-American wrestler from Arizona State.
SEGMENT FIVE (TEN MINUTES):
- Sudu and Raven brought out Kevin Blackwood and Alan Angels to join them for commentary. They were selected to share their first hand knowledge about The 37KAMIINA having lost to them in the semi-finals of Trios Kingdom. As they sat down, Titus Alexander made his way out. Titus called the two a distraction and was demanding that they leave. Alexander said they lost at Trios Kingdom, he's moved on and joined Black Generation International, so there's no reason for Blackwood and Angels to be here and they can go. Angels told Alexander that he might be done with them, but they actually like it here in CORE and they don't plan on going anywhere. Blackwood interjected that they are here to wrestle, not do commentary, so they will leave if Alexander will give them a tag match against any two members of Black Generation International. Blackwood wanted the match for two weeks from now; because next week just wouldn't be fair after the Trios Kingdom winners finish kicking Yutani, Bendito, and Emperador Azteca's butts today. Titus Alexander agreed and the two excused themselves from the commentary booth.
The 37KAMIINA (MAO, Yuki Ueno, and Toi Kojima) vs. Black Generation International (Yutani/Bendito/Emperador Azteca) The 37KAMIINA defeated Black Generation International with the WR from Ueno on Bendito. (8:18)
- Kevin Blackwood and Alan Angels came back out from behind the curtain after the match to join the fans in a standing ovation celebrating another victory by the 2023 Trios Kingdom champions.
SEGMENT SIX (FOUR MINUTES):
- Before they could begin to sign off, Sudu and Raven were joined by Shaw Mason who was holding a cold compress against his neck. Mason said everyone knows that Kerry Morton was behind sending those three goons after them. Mason said he's sick of dancing around it and wants to cut the crap, next week he wants a match between folkstyle and Kal Jak, Madman Fulton, and Levi Cooper. And once they are done beating Morton's hired guns, they want a match against The Southern Six at the Bloomsburg Fair. Mason said it doesn't matter if there are four of them, six of them, or a baker's dozen; there's no shortage of wrestlers that want a shot at Morton and his crew so they'll have no trouble finding partners.
Next Week On The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour Mask vs. Hair: Giant Baba Yaga vs. Vincent Nothing folkstyle (Shaw Mason/Tim Bosby/Hunter Holdcraft) vs. Kal Jak/Madman Fulton/Levi Cooper Fuego Del Sol vs. Invictus Khash Also in action⊠Trench The Production

Alex BarrĂ©-Boulet, Forward (Syracuse Crunch): Alex BarrĂ©-Boulet earns his second career postseason All-Star berth with a First Team selection as he ranks second in the AHL in assists (59) and points (82) â both career highs â over 67 games with Syracuse. A native of Montmagny, Que., BarrĂ©-Boulet was previously a Second Team All-Star in 2019-20, and was named the leagueâs outstanding rookie in 2018-19. Michael Carcone, Forward (Tucson Roadrunners): The AHLâs leading scorer heading into the final weekend of the regular season, Michael Carcone has nearly doubled his previous career high with 84 points (31 goals, 53 assists) in 63 games for Tucson in 2022-23. Carcone also leads the league with 263 shots on goal, and ranks second with his 14 power-play tallies. The seventh-year pro from Ajax, Ont., recorded 30 points during a 15-game scoring streak from Dec. 17 to Jan. 31, the longest in the league this season. Matthew Phillips, Forward (Calgary Wranglers): A 2016 draft pick by his hometown Calgary Flames, Matthew Phillips has set career highs across the board for the second year in a row, recording 36 goals (tied for the AHL lead), 39 assists, 75 points and a plus-17 rating in 64 games for the Wranglers. The fifth-year pro has also tied an all-time AHL mark with 15 game-winning tallies, helping Calgary to a league-best 50 victories and the best record ever for a Flames AHL affiliate. The AHL Player of the Month for November also skated in his first AHL All-Star Classic. 2022-23 AHL Second All-Star Team
Joel Hofer, Goaltender (Springfield Thunderbirds): Joel Hofer earns a Second Team AHL All-Star nod on the strength of a 25-15-5 record, a 2.57 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage in 45 appearances for Springfield this season. Hofer is also tied for second in the league with four shutouts, and ranks third in minutes played (2,660) and shots faced (1,283) while helping the Thunderbirds to their second straight trip to the Calder Cup Playoffs. A 22-year-old native of Winnipeg, Man., Hofer has also played six games this season with the St. Louis Blues, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft. Lucas Carlsson, Defenseman (Charlotte Checkers): Lucas Carlsson ranks second among AHL defensemen in scoring with 52 points (19 goals, 33 assists) in 60 games heading into the final weekend of the regular season for Charlotte. Carlssonâs goal, assist and point totals all represent career highs for the native of Gavle, Sweden, who is in his fifth season of pro hockey in North America. The 25-year-old blueliner also owns a team-best plus-24 rating, and has chipped in three power-play goals and one shorthanded marker as well. Brogan Rafferty, Defenseman (Coachella Valley Firebirds): A Second Team All-Star as a rookie in 2019-20, Brogan Rafferty secures his second career selection this season as he sits tied for third among AHL defensemen in scoring with 51 points in 70 games for Coachella Valley. The fourth-year pro from West Dundee, Ill., is also tied for second among blueliners with 42 assists, and ranks third among all AHL skaters with a plus/minus rating of plus-31. The Quinnipiac University product joined the Seattle Kraken as a free agent on July 13, 2022. Trey Fix-Wolansky, Forward (Cleveland Monsters): Trey Fix-Wolansky has carried the Cleveland offense all season, pacing the team with 29 goals and 41 assists in 58 games played to tie the franchise single-season record with 70 points. The 23-year-old native of Edmonton, Alta., has scored 11 times and added 19 assists with the man advantage, figuring in on the scoring of nearly half of Clevelandâs 61 power-play goals this season. Fix-Wolansky, a seventh-round pick by Columbus in the 2018 NHL Draft, has also skated in nine NHL games with the Blue Jackets in 2022-23. Max McCormick, Forward (Coachella Valley Firebirds): A ninth-year pro from De Pere, Wis., Max McCormick had already set career scoring highs by the All-Star break, when he represented Coachella Valley at the AHLâs midseason showcase in Laval. He has continued his standout season through the second half and has amassed 28 goals and 39 assists for 67 points along with a plus-17 rating in 69 games for the Firebirds entering the final weekend of the regular season. A 2011 draft pick by Ottawa, McCormick is in his second season with the Seattle Kraken organization. T.J. Tynan, Forward (Ontario Reign): T.J. Tynan earns his third consecutive postseason All-Star Team selection, having recorded 71 assists and 79 points in 70 games for Ontario in 2022-23. The AHLâs MVP in both 2020-21 and 2021-22, Tynan is just the fourth player in league history to record at least 70 assists in back-to-back seasons, and will join Art Stratton (four times) as the only AHL players ever to lead the league in assists on three separate occasions. The AHL Player of the Month for January also participated in his fourth career AHL All-Star Classic this winter. AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE HOME Read the full article

GCW Til Infinity, JCW Battlebowl, GCW 56 Nights Reviews
So I finally had time to finish all of the shows GCW (and JCW) put out this past weekend, and let me just say I was blown away! I suppose the best way to handle this mega review would be to go show by show and match by match- so, here it is:
GCW Til Infinity Review:
East West Express vs. Wasted Youth was a very good and fast paced opener to the show, I wasn't familiar with either team going in but I definitely want to see more of them now. One very memorable moment from the match was the Spanish Fly into the Canadian Destroyer, very awesome indeed.
Kerry Morton vs. Jimmy Lloyd was a match that I didn't really click with, although it was still a good match. I loved how Kerry was booed the entire time for just putting on a technical wrestling match, and how this evolved into him hamming it up across all 3 shows the entire weekend.
Effy vs. Blake Christian was a great match, huge fan of Effy already and Blake's pretty hype too. I really liked Effy's version of the Tarantula, Blake hitting a bottom rope 619 was amazing and skinning the cat into a rollup is a great finish.
Leon Slater vs. Tony Deppen was a great match, very fast paced and pretty evenly matched. I was confused going in as to why Tony was getting cheered, but I think it might be because he is local to the area. Leon's Swanton 450 was perhaps the most athletically impressive thing all weekend.
Nick Gage made another hype as hell entrance, I absolutely loved it and getting Maki Itoh involved was a nice touch. This led into Allie Katch vs. Maki Itoh, which was a hell of a match and nearly match of the night for me. Maki basically did the greatest hits of Nick Gage, and I was all in on it.
American Violence Dealers vs. Los Macizos, seriously where do I begin with this one? It was an absolutely brutal match filled with jaw-dropping sequences, and really my notes say it better than I ever could:
Shitheads vs Sc*nt was a really fun and quick match, I've mentioned before that I'm a Dark Sheik fan so it was good to see her involved. I was also really impressed by the others, especially Rob Shit who hit an epic press slam dive.
"Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. 2 Cold Scorpio was an interesting match, fairly slow pace but it worked. I really liked how it was back and forth for most of it, almost like a physical game of chess between the two. I still love Bailey's finisher, and when he threatened to stomp a vape pen it made me laugh.
Starboy Charlie vs. Willie Mack was a really good match, I liked the dynamic of big man/little man. Willie did some pretty hard hitting and entertaining offense, and there was a sick shotgun dropkick by Starboy.
John Wayne Murdoch vs. Sawyer Wreck was a short but BRUTAL match, and I absolutely loved it- it's my pick for Match of the Night! Highlights for me included the baseball bat with the spikes(?) being used, and the GODDAMN SUPLEX THROUGH THE GLASS PANE.
Yokai vs. Billie Starkz and Brogan Finlay was a pretty good finish to an excellent show, the match was good and I was particularly impressed by Janai Kai.
-----------------------------------------------------------
JCW BattleBowl Review:
Midas Black & Charlie Tiger vs. Jay Lyon & Ellis Taylor was an interesting and fun opener on this show. It was interesting how two tag teams are split up and made to face each other, I don't know anyone here but I'm intrigued. Jay Lyon's handspring elbow was the highlight of the match, and the surprise rollup was a great finish.
Kerry Morton & Axton Ray vs. Marcus Mathers & Dyln McKay was a good match, I'm happy that Wasted Youth won. I cracked up at Marcus stealing the title at the end.
Gabriel Skye & Austin Luke vs. Griffin McCoy & Alec Price was an awesome match, I didn't know anybody here but they were all very impressive. Luke with the Ambrose rope clothesline was pretty sweet, and McCoy with the modified Boston crab was pretty cool.
Beastman & Sam Stackhouse vs. Yoya & Mago was a hell of a match, I really liked the big vs. little dynamic. Yoya hit one HELL of a Canadian Destroyer in this one, and that was easily moment of the night.
Sawyer Wreck & Azrieal vs. Billy Dixon & CPA was a good match, I especially loved Sawyer just wrecking everyone and CPA's comedy antics.
Jimmy Lloyd & Rob Shit vs. Manders & Bam Sullivan was a good match, there were a couple of really hype lariats here which I enjoyed.
Billie Starkz & Big Vin vs. Brogan Finlay & Janai Kai was an awesome match, MVP of the match was easily Big Vin. He hit a HUUUUUUGE chokeslam, a double side slam, a flipping slam over the ropes... dude's an absolute beast.
The 14 Person Battle Bowl Match was a kickass battle royal, highlights of it were CPA with even more gags and ALEC PRICE ELIMINATING BOTH STACKHOUSE AND BEASTMAN!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
GCW 56 Nights Review:
Cole Radrick vs. Masha Slamovich was a somewhat quick but enjoyable match, I'm glad Masha won. Unfortunately a good chunk of this match didn't air due to technical errors with the stream, but what was shown was excellent.
Nick Wayne vs Leon Slater was a high flying, explosively awesome match. Highlights of the match were Leon diving over the ringpost, the double backflip off the top rope and the TOP ROPE CUTTER, HOLY SHIT.
Joey Janela vs. Blake Christian vs. Tony Deppen vs. Willie Mack vs. Alec Price vs. Jordan Oliver was a good match, lots of cool multi-man moves in it. Highlights included Blake's springboard moonsault and Willie Mack just wrecking everyone with slaps and chops.
Maki Itoh vs. Sawyer Wreck vs. Billie Starkz vs. Dark Sheik was my most anticipated match of the night, I wanted either Sawyer or Sheik to win. Maki Itoh with the full Nick Gage entrance was amazing, and Dark Sheik's spider walk move was pretty cool. Sawyer continued to destroy everyone, including Sheik with a CHOKESLAM THROUGH THE DOOR!!!!
Matt Tremont vs. Mad Man Pondo was a brutal and awesome match, I want to see more from both men now. The weapons were used in creative ways, and of course I should mention this epic moment:
The Do Or Die Rumble was an epic battle royal, and again here only my notes can do it justice:
The post match with Blake doing the punt kick with Masha in the chair was absolutely brutal, I hope she gets her revenge soon.

All the excitement (and the misogynistic outrage) over the Doctor Who announcement made me remember that the best piece of sci fi I've ever seen was written and produced by women and had an all female cast.
(Okay there's one male cast member but that's just a small voice role as the voice of a computer system.)

oh & somewhat in contrast, another ask abt The Full Context Of Watching Billions but about what moments were highlights for being particularly fun just as like, a light characterful moment that probably doesn't play much into drama & conflict, although ig it could do that too lol. along the lines of yknow, taylor just having been introduced & the stakes are the lowest they'll be & they mess with mafee a bit. guess it also doesn't have to be limited to Fun Taylor Moments lol but yknow
unproduciblesmackdown asked:
as soon as i sent that i realized the context of saying "it doesn't have to be just fun taylor moments ig" maybe wasn't super clear lol but i just meant like, i guess also if there was especially fun moments involving other characters & possibly taylor is not involved lol but that's hardly expected or demanded b/c we know why we're here & what we're about. if they're not around how enjoyable can things be
why not both! first, some Fun Taylor Character Moments / Details that come to mind:
dropping off the alpha cup trophy in axeâs office (as i put it in my episode transcript, âas if it burns them to touch itâ) and complaining that people keep drinking beer out of it [2x03]
responding to connertyâs attempt to play good cop after the bad cop approach failed by telling him you canât mix character names and actor names when talking about a movie [2x10]
staring at dollar bill with blank incomprehension (and pointing out that âthis is like the third time you have spoken directly to meâ) when he tries to invite them out for coffee [2x11]
telling axe âiâll get right on all thatâ after heâs asked them for the answers to three questions, in such a way that itâs clear they know two of the questions are distractions [2x12]
wearing safety glasses to smash electronics in their office [3x01]
saying âi could have done that for myself, you knowâ after wags scared off a guy who was harassing them [3x01]
being excited by the prospect of seeing steve wozniak (whose photo they have in their office) give a pitch and crestfallen at oscar revealing it was one of his trademark complete lies [3x05]
deliberately keeping dollar bill in suspense about who sent them flowers, until he grabs the card out of their hand like a dick [3x06]
greeting the sweet quants with âyo, quants!â [3x06]
sitting in a meeting with axe capâs prime broker and never speaking except to dispute axeâs list of rushâs best albums [3x09]
repeatedly popping up in random locations without warning to ask people to come work for them [3x12]
having â2112â (the name of a rush album) as their apartmentâs security code [4x02]
requesting a âtl;dr, pleaseâ of a report from their counterintelligence specialist [4x02]
taunting a banker about getting the money they need, in a russian accent, to imply that theyâre getting money from russians [4x02]
calling kid rock a âonce-great americanâ [4x02]
responding to wendyâs assertion of â[i] still donât trust youâ with âsamesiesâ [4x06]
declaring cheerfully on television that axe cap is running itself into the ground and axe is a dinosaur [4x08]
claiming they stayed in and did some reading on new yearâs eve, which is at minimum a lie by omission but also makes me wonder what they like to read [4x10]
telling lauren theyâre returning to axe cap and asking her to join them without giving any other context [4x12]
warning chuck that âquestioning my workout practices [isnât] something iâd doâ when he questions the value of swimming in place [5x01]
telling oscar why he lost his chess game after he says he doesnât want to be associated with them (thank you lee tamahori) [5x02]
eating dinner with lauren in their office and thinking sheâs reading them questions from an online quiz [5x05]
asking prince if the supply chain vice president who warned them about conflict tin was âjust in a box at your officeâ [5x07]
and a few comparable moments for other characters:
sacker making a pointed comment about connerty obviously hooking up with an fbi agent they both work with [1x03] and saying far too much about how she imagines their sex life [1x05] (note that this is before she & connerty get together)
wendy walking into chuckâs office after he had dollar bill arrested in her absence and greeting him with a sarcastic slow clap [1x06]
sacker and connerty breaking into chuckâs office after hours, stealing from his liquor cabinet, making out on his desk, breaking out laughing about how clichĂ© it all is, and then going to coney island to set off sparklers [1x11]
sacker making a pointed comment about a flight attendant who is clearly cooperating with the SDNY out of âdesperate lustâ for connerty and promising to buy cake servers from their wedding registry [2x03] (note that this is after she & connerty broke up)
senior encouraging chuck to use his connections âlike a bathhouse piano player uses poppers,â to which ira responds âthinking about your past really freaks me outâ [4x01] and later using poppers while hooking up with roxanne [4x11]
a reporter telling chuck, re: his state AG run, âif i were the sort of fella who liked to toss the dice, that's not the direction iâd toss âem,â and chuck telling him thatâs not how dice work [4x03]
axe telling rebecca about yet another of his enemies and rebecca responding âyou have a remarkable way with peopleâ [4x09]
this exchange, from chuck tasking his brain trust with helping him take down jock jeffcoat, and for which itâs important to note that chuck secured broganâs loyalty by helping him avoid legal trouble for killing his neighborâs dog [4x11]
CHUCK: Indeed. Halloran, you will solicit a bribe from the company.
HALLORAN: How would I go about â
CHUCK (moving right along): Mm-hmm. Brogan, you have horses. Jock has horses. You will move one of your prized horses next to his and, under the guise of visiting, you will kill Jockâs horse.
BROGAN: Okay.
CHUCK: What? Jeâ No. No more killing animals. I was fucking with you.
BROGAN: Okay.
#inbox#unproduciblesmackdown#billions#taylor mason#i did not expect to include so many things from 4x02 but it's a characterful one i guess#also if i really thought about it i'm sure i could greatly expand the second part but i know we're all here for taylor#kate sacker#bryan connerty#wendy rhoades#chuck rhoades senior#ira schirmer#chuck rhoades#rebecca cantu#hap halloran#larry brogan#bobby axelrod

The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour - 017 09/07/23 Defy TV 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST Filmed at the Good Time Theatre at Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania
SEGMENT ONE (EIGHT MINUTES):
- The show opened with an In Memoriam graphic for Adnan Al-Kaissie.
- We joined Sudu Upadhyay at the commentary booth where he introduced his new broadcast partner, Raven. Raven was seated behind the booth with a tablet in front of him, Raven pressed his finger to the tablet and a clip of Squiggy from Laverne & Shirley saying "Hello!" played. Sudu welcomed Raven to the show and he again pressed the tablet this time triggering a clip of Bobby Bittman from SCTV asking, "How Are Ya?" Sudu questioned Raven about his contraption, to which Raven explained the Defy TV people thought Sudu was a little dour recently, so they gave him this soundboard to give the program a little juice. He then proceeded to play a variety of sound effects including horns, springs, and canned laughter. Sudu runs down the lineup for today's show but Raven plays a clip of Columbo saying "Just one more thing." Raven says that later in the broadcast he will present the first episode of his new interview series A Taste Of Honey and his special guest will be the hottest free agent in wrestling who has been making headlines all week since their sudden departure from AEW.
- The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour opening aired set to "Black Swan Lake" by Janko Nilovic.
Kevin Blackwood and Alan Angels vs. Alan Clayball and Sage Matthews Kevin Blackwood and Alan Angels defeated Alan Clayball and Sage Matthews with the Wing Snapper into the doublestomp on Clayball. (3:33)
SEGMENT TWO (SEVEN MINUTES):
- We return from break to a title card reading, "A Taste Of Honey - Brought To You By Bob Evans". We see an establishing shot of the Bob Evans restaurant in Phoenixville, PA before cutting inside where we are shown Raven seated at a table drizzling honey over a short stack of pancakes. Raven introduces his guest, saying they are the talk of the wrestling world since leaving AEW last week. Raven was joined at his table by Sonny Kiss. Sonny Kiss claimed that Ari Daivari bought out their AEW contract so that Sonny could come to CORE to personally oversee the TrustBusters Reserve. Sonny said that Hyan and Trench were already on the bubble, but following a first round loss at Trios Kingdom no one in the TrustBusters Reserve is safe. And apparently that goes double for Invictus Khash after his recent loss teaming with local talent on Ring Of Honor television. While taking a bite of his honey soaked pancakes, Raven voiced his surprise at the claim that Ring Of Honor is on television. Sonny announced that over the next few weeks, matches have been made for every current and prospective member of the TrustBusters Reserve, and the first two will take place during this very broadcast.
Hyan vs. Jazzy Yang Hyan defeated Jazzy Yang with the Beauty Sleep. (2:45)
- We cut to a shot of Starboy Charlie in Dorney Park watching the closing moments of a Peanuts stage show. As Snoopy hangs ten on a surfboard, Alex Taylor takes a seat next to Starboy. The two exchange pleasantries and we learn that Kerry Morton informed Starboy that someone from his Southern Six group would meet him here to take the place of the injured Marcus Mathers and Brogan Finlay. Starboy asks that besides Kerry Morton, Kenzie Paige, Silas Mason, and Alex Taylor, who are the other two members of the Southern Six? Alex Taylor tells Starboy that he could be one of them if he plays his cards right. Starboy points out that he's not from the south. Taylor slaps Starboy Charlie on the back and with a laugh states that Charlie is from Southern California after all before walking off into the park. Starboy Charlie rubs his own shoulder while saying to no one in particular that he's actually from the Bay Area.
SEGMENT THREE (NINE MINUTES):
Andrew Everett and "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams vs. TrustBusters Reserve (Big Dan Champion and Joshua Bishop) - During the match Joshua Bishop knocked Andrew Everett off the ring apron to prevent Hot Sauce from making the hot tag. Everett was grabbed and pulled into the audience. Jake Something and Vincent Nothing could be seen attacking him within the crowd. Tracy Williams was left to fend for himself in the ring. TrustBusters Reserve defeated Andrew Everett and "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams with the Bishop Bomb from Bishop followed by a running splash from Big Dan on Hot Sauce. (5:34)
- After the match, Jake Something and Vincent Nothing went to the commentary booth to be interviewed. Jake Something voiced his frustrations with Giant Baba Yaga acting like she was the star of the group, Jake said that Baba intimidates her opponents by hiding behind a mask, but once they reveal her true identity everyone will know that she can be beaten. Raven pressed Something to reveal Giant Baba Yaga's name, Something disclosed that they've never seen her without the mask, but they have a plan. With that UltraMantis Black made his way to the interview area and asked if that was a challenge. Jake Something said there was nothing he'd enjoy more than a singles match with Baba, but they don't need to win a match to expose her. Something said that before their "disagreement" at Trios Kingdom, Mantis sent them a full itinerary for the month of September and they saw that Giant Baba Yaga is scheduled for a match on the September 21st episode of the Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour. Something said that there are only a handful of people in wrestling of Baba Yaga's stature. Something said that UltraMantis will soon be hearing about this from Baba Yaga, but he'll spoil it now; Jake Something will be using his signing bonus from Impact Wrestling to book every possible suspect to appear on September 21st during Babaâs match and the one person that doesn't show must be under the mask.
SEGMENT FOUR (EIGHT MINUTES):
The Production (Derek Dillinger and Magnum CK) vs. Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders The Production defeated Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders with a superplex from Magnum into a second rope moonsault from Dillinger on Sanders. (3:01)
. The Production continued to attack their opponents after the match. Fuego Del Sol led a group of CORE officials, referees, and local talent to ringside and The Production finally left the ring.
- We joined Daphne Oz at the CORE news desk for a complete recap of Trios Kingdom 2023 on the COal REgion Roundup.
SEGMENT FIVE (TEN MINUTES):
Team JTO (TAKA Michinoku/Ren Ayabe/Fire Katsumi/Akira Juumonji) vs. Black Generation International (Titus Alexander/Kaito Ishida/Flamita/Yutani) Black Generation International defeated Team JTO with a Chaos Theory from Alexander on TAKA. (8:50)
SEGMENT SIX (THREE MINUTES):
- Sudu and Raven closed out the show. Sudu previewed all the action for our episode next week and thanked CORE's newest promotional partner, Bob Evans Restaurants. Sudu thanks Raven which prompts a soundboard clip of John Witherspoon from Friday saying, "that's my pleasure!" Raven signed off and then played a sound clip of a door slamming shut to end the broadcast.
Next Week On The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour 2023 Trios Kingdom Winners The 37KAMIINA (MAO/Yuki Ueno/Toi Kojima) vs. Black Generation International (Yutani/Bendito/Emperador Azteca) Queen Aminata (with Raychell Rose) vs. Xia Brookside Also in action⊠folkstyle The Production Starboy Charlie and Alex Taylor
