Do the Howard pony lengths vary?
Oh my god yes. Thank you for this ask, I’ve been dying to talk about this and never got around to making a post on my own.
Here are some examples of different lengths we’ve seen, just including first covers and principals:
Pictured: Vicki Manser (2019, West End); Jennifer Caldwell (2019, UK Tour); Chelsea Dawson (2021, Aus Tour); Mallory Maedke (2021, Broadway); Tsemaye Bob-Egbe (2022, West End); Aryn Bohannon (2022, Boleyn Tour)
I mean. SO much variation there. Vicki and Jen’s are both very short and very thinned out nearer the end, with Vicki in particular having some layering. Chelsea’s initial wig was very short and curled but also much fuller. Mallory and Tsemaye both have a middle ground in terms of length, but Tsemaye had the killer braids. And Aryn’s is very, very long and very full.
They’ve definitely been shifting towards the longer, fuller ponytails across the board, but there’s still variance in length/fullness/layering. Here’s most of the current Howard wigs:
Pictured: Koko Basigara (22-23 WE), Rachel Rawlinson (21-23 WE), Leah Vassell (22-23 WE), Lou Henry (23-24 UKT); Shakira Simpson (23-24 UKT), Zoe Jensen (22-23 Bway), Holli' Conway (22-23 Bway), Aubrey Matalon (22-23 Bway); Courtney Mack (23 Aragon Tour); Erin Palmer Ramirez (22-23 Aragon Tour), Aline Mayagoitia (22-23 Boleyn Tour), Aryn Bohannon (22-23 Boleyn Tour); Tay Pearlstein (22-23 Boleyn Tour), Sarah McFarlane (Breakaway 5.0), Artemis Chrisoulakis (Bliss 5.0), Jillian Worthing (Bliss 5.0)
West End still has the most variance. Rachel has a very short wig, more in the line of Jennifer Caldwell’s alt wig, which I suspect is partially for versatility since she also uses it for Parr. UKT is more standardized in length but all the Howards are new so all their wigs were presumably made together. NCL generally has fairly short ponytails, at least relative to current UK/US mainland productions! Many of them seem to have been reused a few times now too. US leans towards longer ponys, but of course there's still variation in length. See: Holli' vs Aryn.

@lightleckrereins got an ask about which roles each queen would be most/least likely to add to their covers if Six went back to their five cover system. I provided some input on which roles I think each queen would be most likely to be given by Six. However, that doesn’t always line up with what covers I’d most want to see them add on. So, without further ado…
Mallory Maedke: Boleyn, Cleves, Parr (would be a very solid swing)
Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert: Parr, Seymour, Howard
Courtney Mack: Seymour, Aragon, Cleves
Keirsten Hodgens: Aragon, Howard, Boleyn
Ayla Ciccone-Burton: Howard, Aragon, Seymour
Holli’ Conway: Seymour, Parr, Boleyn
Kristina Leopold: Howard, Boleyn, Cleves. But honestly she’d probably be my top pick to see as a swing for all six roles.
Aubrey Matalon: Parr, probably Cleves then Aragon
Erin Ramirez: Seymour, Aragon, Cleves
Kelly Denice Taylor: Boleyn, Parr, Howard (would actually love to see her Howard, but think it’s least likely)
Cassie Silva: Seymour, Aragon, Parr
Kelsee Kimmel: Cleves, Howard, Boleyn
Cecilia Snow: Boleyn, Parr, Howard
Jana Larell Glover: Boleyn, Howard, Seymour
Aryn Bohannon: Aragon, Cleves, Parr
Tay Pearlstein: Aragon, Seymour, Cleves
Marilyn Caserta: Seymour, Howard

Is there anything we can gather from these?
Generally resharing cover guesses or Sofia’s art isn’t going to mean anything is confirmed. It could be that they’re just sharing it for fun, it could be that one or two are right but not all, whatever. We also know that the alts’ covers may not be set in stone during the early rehearsal process. In this particular case it’s still notable since she says that it’s a good guess! But again, it could just be referring to one or two correct and I definitely would not count it as confirmation.

So, something I've noticed in all the pictures I've seen of Gerianne Perez is that her boots as aragon come almost halfway up her calf, as opposed to sticking to nearer her ankle, which most of the boots do.
I've just screencapped these off of TikTok, just for example's sake. First we have Zan Berube's boots, which is more similar to most boots we've seen
Then Gerianne Perez's boots
Then a pic of the two of them together for comparison's sake
Do we know why Gerianne's boots are so much taller than Zan's?
Hey! Yes, we do. Broadway/US Tour boots come in a few different styles.
1. Left: This is what I call the double or double strap style because there’s two thick straps. It’s primarily used for Aragon and Parr in US productions.
2. Center: This is the Cleves style.
3. Right: This is what I call the single or single strap style because, you guessed it, there’s a single thick strap. It’s primarily used for Boleyn, Seymour, and Howard in US productions.
Because of the double vs single strap variation, there’s also difference in height. The straps start at the same height on the boot, so for the boots with double straps a few extra inches is added to the top of the boot to accommodate for the top strap. Gerianne Perez, as Aragon, has the double strap style. Zan Berube, as Boleyn, has the single strap.
The alts’ boots are also split between single and double:
L-R: Courtney Mack has single in Boleyn embellishment pattern, Mallory Maedke has single in the Parr embellishment pattern, Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert and Holli’ Conway both in double with the Aragon/Howard embellishment pattern.
Keirsten Hodgens has double with the Cleves embellishment pattern. Ayla Ciccone-Burton has single with the Cleves embellishment pattern.
Over in the US Tours the alts have removable straps for each role, so they don’t have the monotone alt straps. Cassie Silva and Jana Larell Glover have double. Kelsee Kimmel, Erin Palmer Ramirez, Kelly Denice Taylor, Cecilia Snow, Tay Pearlstein, and Aryn Bohannon all have single.
There are some other elements of variance and there have been a few exceptions to design. If anyone wants a more in depth post on those differences let me know. But hopefully that helps answer your question regarding why they have different heights!

Hey @regina-cordium! Answering this here.
So you’re right that they are Aragon boots, but they aren’t Taylor Pearlstein’s boots nor are they Broadway style. She’s actually in an old pair of Adrianna Hick’s from the first Chicago/North American regional tour.
Left: the photo Taylor Pearlstein posted of the boots she wore during her fitting.
Top center: Adrianna’s first pair. These had four rows of studs, crystals on the heel, and a spaced out crystal pattern like is currently used in the UK/NCL/AUNZ productions.
Bottom center: Adrianna’s second pair. These only had three rows of studs, no crystals on the heel, a scattered/ombré pattern for the crystals on the main boot, and chains on the back of the heel. This is the pair of boots that Tay is wearing in her fitting photo.
Top right and bottom right: These are photos of the Broadway-style Aragon boots. All of the Broadway boots have a suede body with a lattice cutout on them and studs at each intersection. Then they all have embellished straps and heels (with the exception of Cleves which only has embellished heels).
When doing these sorts of final fittings, it’s pretty standard for actors to wear shoes similar to the shoes they’ll ultimately wear in the show. It helps the costume team more accurately judge what the costume will look like onstage so they can make any needed adjustments. In this case we know that the alternate’s La Duca boots weren’t done at the time of their final fittings. So Six most likely just went through the stock of old or unused boots to find a pair of boots for each of the alts since their boots weren’t done yet. That means they would have worn whatever fit them best and is closest to the length/height of boot they’d actually wear in the show. For Tay, that happened to be Adrianna’s. It’s just a logistics thing.
So….yes, these are Aragon boots! But they’re not Tay’s, and in my opinion nothing can be read into it as far as covers go.

LOSING MY SHIT OVER HAVING ANOTHER JEWISH QUEEN !!! taylor is the third, right ?
As far as I can confirm! Kennedy Monica Carstens, Harriet Caplan-Dean, Tay Pearlstein. I know there’s been mention of Aimie Atkinson’s grandmother being Sephardic but in recent years we haven’t been able to track that video down. There may be others that I just don’t know about as well because they just don’t post about it as much or I don’t see their posts as much. But that’s who I know, yes.
Edit: also forgot to mention that Toby Marlow’s mother and maternal grandparents are Jewish.

Okay it’s alt covers guessing time!! So as always I’m assuming they’re following the Broadway system (because Six please I’m begging). So, a few guesses:
1 (most likely imo): Cecilia Snow: A/S/C Jana Larell Glover: B/C/P Tay Pearlstein: A/H/P Aryn Bohannon: B/S/H
2: Cecilia Snow: A/S/C Jana Larell Glover: A/B/P Tay Pearlstein: C/H/P Aryn Bohannon: B/S/H
3: Cecilia Snow: A/S/C Jana Larell Glover: C/H/P Tay Pearlstein: A/B/P Aryn Bohannon: B/S/H
Again, that’s all just Broadway system. If they aren’t following Broadway system I have some different guesses. If anyone is curious about my reasoning I have some videos and info I can link for all of them and am happy to do so!
EDIT: whoops, missed something. fixed now.

Is it me, or does Broadway seem to have an unspoken first/second cover system? It seems like Mallory is almost always prioritized for Seymour, Nicole for Aragon, Courtney for Boleyn/Howard, and Kiersten for Parr? Cleves seems like one of those roles that Nicole and Kiersten split relatively evenly
They do! There's a hierarchy that dictates who is first priority. Essentially seems to mean that they learn the role first, debut it first (if scheduled), would typically be the first person called on to cover the role for scheduled vacations (although recently both covers have been splitting), and are first priority to cover the role for any public performances. It's mostly for the sake of logistics - it makes sure that there's always someone who can go for a role, even if it's at the last minute or the other cover hasn't yet learned the track. Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert is first priority Aragon/Cleves, Courtney Boleyn/Howard, Mallory Maedke Seymour, Keirsten Hodgens Parr. With the addition of Ayla Ciccone-Burton and Holli' Conway, it seems like it's shifted towards Ayla taking over Cleves and Holli' taking over Howard. Again, that's reflected in public performances. A few examples include Broadway in the Boros w Keirsten Parr; Tonys with Mallory Seymour; The View with Courtney Howard; Thanksgiving Parade with Courtney Boleyn; and Late Night with Nicole Cleves. There have been a couple recent exceptions with injuries/transition, most notably Broadway on the Boardwalk with Courtney Boleyn and Keirsten Cleves (Nicole was out then) and Bryant Park, where we saw Mallory Aragon, Nicole Boleyn, Ayla Cleves, Holli' Howard, and Courtney Parr. In that case Ayla + Holli' were covering their first roles and Keirsten wasn't performing, which meant Courtney Parr, which meant Nicole Boleyn, which meant Mallory Aragon. You are right that they do send Keirsten on as Cleves quite a bit as well! In terms of actual performances, Boleyn, Seymour, and Cleves cover numbers have been pretty even this year. As the production goes on and everyone knows all three of their tracks very well, that sort of hierarchy is less important from a logistical perspective and it becomes more about who is available and most comfortable with the role on any given day.
I'll also note that Aragon Tour and Boleyn Tour have a similar set up, although Aragon Tour so far seems to hew much less closely to it than Broadway. For Aragon it's Kelly Denice Taylor Aragon, Erin Palmer Ramirez Boleyn/Parr, Kelsee Kimmel Seymour, Cassie Silva Howard, and then Cleves is less clear. We don't know all the set up for Boleyn Tour yet, but it looks like Tay Pearlstein is first priority Boleyn, Aryn Bohannon Seymour, and Jana Larell Glover Cleves.
