Deep Regret

The sound of the birds chirping on such a gloomy and rainy Sunday lightens some of my dullness. I'm unsure of what I feel. Its comparable to an outer body experience. I've been feeling this way for almost two years now but yet I continued to make the wrong decisions and failed to pinpoint the issue. The problem was me...and my tattoos.

Ink and body art is absolutely beautiful but it's just not for me. I kept covering and adding to shadow over insecurities and pain. I'm still going through cycles of mood swings but its always when I turn and catch a glimpse of my tattoos. Looking at my old pictures I miss my clean, blank caramel surface. Currently I have 2 large tattoos on my back with great detail and a small flower on my shoulder. Fortunately all my tattoos can be hidden.

Here I will blog my journey on tattoo removal. Yes, the pain will be excruciatingly intense. It hurts WAY worse than getting a tattoo. Yes, it is costly. A month's rent in NYC costly. Yes, it is time consuming and is not a quick fix. It will most likely take between 5-9 months. And No, there is no guarantee the tattoos will be fully removed. There is also a chance of scarring so skin tones, diet and genes play a huge role in the recovery process. September has just begun and  while I wait for my third tattoo to fully heal I will start setting up consultations. I am aiming to begin my treatments by early October so I can cover the healing progress during the Fall/Winter months. Hopefully I am able to unveil "de-inked" skin by summer 2014.

I admire women with no tattoos so much. I sometimes catch myself feeling a little jealous. I promised myself If I can rid my body of these tattoos I will never, ever undergo any unnecessary body modification as long as I live. I will also threaten to disown my future children if they ever bring up getting a tattoo.

I am here for support and to help anyone else going through this. Stay positive. I will provide real information, progress and honest opinions.
