What to do if someone court you that is not your soul mate? That you have no soul mate...

In this modern time. We obviously could live without love life.

Knowing that you and that person isn't even fated to one another why would you accept them? What if they have a soul mate--

"Ah I also don't have one." You were monologuing in your head when certain someone who's courting your break your emo moment.

"..." You turn away to continue looking at the view you can see from the Terris of the apartment complex corridor, you live at-- as you play again your background music that can make you be emo. Until certain someone ruined your moment.

Sometimes we don't need love life because we can have delusional relationship with fictional characters.

That is why you refuse to acknowledge this courting.

"It's ok if you like to play otome games. I don't really mind."

You pause your game that your playing in your phone to look at your companion at the moment.

"Are you a mind reader?" You really don't get how people around you seems to able read what's up with your head. First your neighbor, now him. "ITS NOT AN OTOME GAME OK?" You corrected.

"sorry, my bad for mess genre the game your playing. But to answer your question. You were mumbling out loud, you see." He softly chuckle as he tells you your monologue out in the open earnings a bashful mess.

"I--... " You don't know what to reply to that.

"Hey you." You heard someone called out to you. Before you can even play again the game your playing. You once again pause the game and look up to the new person. You start to shake when you see it's your neighbor.

"Lol. You aren't walking the plank. Why you shaking like uneven ship in the sea?" Your neighbor laughs at your attitude everytime they are around.

"Anyway how good is your ears. Can you guess what's inside this box?" You look at the box they are holding.

"...w-why are you asking me that...."

"This is a price inside. If one can guess what's inside correctly without opening it. There's a one week trip in a famous hot spring." Your neighbor starts. Your eyes widen when you hear one week trip.

"If you guess correctly. You can have it or you could get some good night sleep without ( censored ) at night if me and the noisy one is the one who will take the trip. " Your neighbor give a sly smirk.

Yes they did said ( censored ) as (censored).

"Ok!" Your eyes sparkle as you went to inspect the box and shake it a bit. "Ahm..." You tap the surface to create vibration inside.

"Isn't that cheating?" As your busy inspecting the box, tatsumi look at your neighbor who is checking some email in their phone.

"Cheating you say? It's more of using the resources you have, to get what you want. As far the rules state. They never said you cannot ask help from someone who can guess it correctly. As long you won't open it. There always holes in each rules." They look up from their phone.

"Someone like the likes of you shouldn't even call me out for cheating... Don't we (Mr angel)..?" They look at tatsumi with a close eyes smile that hide their secret that they know in their gaze.

"Ok! It's a 100 yen coin and an ear pud without case.... Ahm... Wait there's another one " you shake the box and you hear a very tiny almost non audible ring.

"--and a very small bell." You smiled happily. You give the box to your neighbor.

"...aiy! Nice. Imma go back to that place to redeem the award." Your neighbor accept it and was about to leave. But They turn around and approach you to pat your head. You froze.

"as expected to the neighbor of mine who frequently complaint about very ✨ descriptive ✨ source of noises each day." They smiled like a proud parent. Through they left soon later.

"..." You held your head that was pat. You can't help but smile. Tatsumi looks at your smile, he too can't help but smile too.

You once again hear someone walking in the end of the hallway. "HiMERU greets neighbor and you..." You look at your new neighbor who move in to the apartment complex a day later of meeting in a certain vending machine-- which a month ago.

That cola guy who call you a clown.

"Hello there HiMERU." Tatsumi smiled fondly to the new comer who in a spit of second you swear saw him look disgusted. "How are you today?"

"Well HiMERU is doing fine. HiMERU is doing great on DOING HiMERU's job as a GUIDE...." you can hear malice in his voice but it's mask with sweet coat.

"I'm glad then." Tatsumi don't seems to notice HiMERU dislike him or he just don't care.

You wonder why your in such situations. Why can't you just have a good free day of playing game and later just sleep the day off since your noisy neighbor is out for work or what not. But no. You have to be in a middle of a situation of a cola guy and that guy courting you.

"... HiMERU isn't a cola guy. HiMERU is sad to be called just the cola guy. HiMERU is HiMERU." HiMERU look at you in very disappointed smile.

"...." you look at tatsumi who nodded his head. You don't even ask and he already confirmed the fact, you once again spoke out loud your monologue again.

"HiMERU is free today since there's no work Job on wanna-be-watcher this day."he thought about something.

Wanna-be-watcher... That's one way to call the supernatural haunting group you three are in. Technically it's only you and HiMERU ( he joined later that day of meetings, turn out his looking for the agency and get thirsty for cola on his way). But since tatsumi is a frequent visitor and joiner at the outing. His a unpaid member and treated as one by your coworkers.

"HiMERU would like to play that game your playing. Since it's look entertaining to pass time with it." He takes out his phone and look at you.

"What's the game name? HiMERU would like some ask tips form a senior player too. " Your eyes lock on his golden orbs at the thought of a familiar person playing the game with you.

You quickly tell him the game name. Your so excited to get more player play the game with you!

"If you don't mind... I also want to play with you." Tatsumi notice that your really find of the game. He can't help but thank HiMERU for giving him a way to get close to you indirectly.

How wrong he was, HiMERU did not give him tip!' certain blue haired can't help but click his tongue as he realize why tatsumi is looking at him with very thankful haze.

You did hear the sound of HiMERU making but your so happy to get more players you don't really care! You happily told them about the basic things for the game and tips.

"NO WAY WHY IS ALL YOUR SONGS S+?" you look at amazement at the song list of HiMERU account. Through he still have some S for certain songs but his hard move and expert are too blinding.

"HiMERU practice and play it many times, of course." HiMERU smile like a victor. He give a side view to a certain someone who's playing in normal mode and just chuckle as he miss a beat.

HiMERU can't help but smirk as he felt his better at something through it's made by his efforts to do those songs till they start to ring in his head every day and memories the dance move of all the units. Even that very suggestive one.

"HiMERU is really amazing indeed." Tatsumi who finally finished the song look up to the two of you as you three are in the comfort of your Kotatsu. It been many months since you first meet Tatsumi.

He still continue to court you but since your more close to him now since his your game buddy your not that awkward around him anymore. Being confess everyday is like being greeted hello now.

You did felt guilty about it. But your standing your ground. You refuse to be in a relationship--

"..." You heard someone chuckle. You look at HiMERU who's looking at tatsumi who hopelessly sigh. "I spoke out loud again don't I?" You cover your face with a pillow. You wanna burry yourself away from this shame.

"HiMERU would like to lie but no sadly you indeed once again speak out loud." HiMERU chuckle, his voice sound like a alluring seductive. You felt your ears turn red. You quickly cover it.

"Ahaha.... (F/n) really is so open.* Tatsumi gentle voice is also bad for your ears. He don't seems offended by your words. He isn't the type of give up anyway.

Those two are really bad for me. One is seductive voice and the other a heavenly gentle one. They both have beautiful voice that could make you go crazy.

My ears going to be permanent red.' you thought. You long realize that your auralism. After your neighbor says your one.

your face is so red when they openly says that while reading porn in the hallway.

"I'm glad you (still) like my voice." Your other ear not safe as it's targeted by the other person in the room. Gentle voice tried to follow the lead of the first one but he end up chuckle as he whisper to your ears.

" !!!!...." You heart skip a beat. "W-wha...n-not you too!" You cover your face as the two of them look at you who is cowering. " I-i can guess tatsumi.... " Since he always says he likes you. But being this direct in teasing you is weird.

"Oh? You question why HiMERU is teasing your sensitive ears?" HiMERU notice your gaze and smiled. "After a long while... "We" have grown fond of you (since long ago) "we" have fallen in love with you." He confess with his hand holding his beautiful marble necklace as he form his finger to a heart shape.

Somehow you saw another person who look exactly like HiMERU yet that person golden orbs don't know any negativity that isn't sadness. Pure optimistic version of HiMERU but wearing a black hoodie appear beside him but his a transparent.

"...ah." tatsumi is taken back. "I guess HiMERU never change." Instead of being mad tatsumi seems happy HiMERU likes you.

You don't know if you should be questioning why people like you. What's to like about someone who only like to sleep, play game and work in a supernatural agency. You don't know what they see in you--

"Love works different for each people." You sigh as you realize you spoke out loud again.

"The three of us don't have a link other people have. But won't it be interesting to decided our own fate?" Tatsumi added.

"we do have a link with you. A connection different than humans have." HiMERU corrected.

"But certain someone broke his link. Won't you accept "us" instead of him?" HiMERU and the other HiMERU who look at you with a very innocent smile awaiting for your reply. He reach out to held you hand to kiss the back of your palm.

"I--.... " You are now in a very rock between rock situation.

'i don't know what to do. Why am I suddenly in a shoujo manga story?!' you thought as your head start to be lighten up. You felt you don't what to do as you forgotten how to breath and like a bell. You fainted and escaped the situation.

Your not that weak. Your just weak when being confronted with this kind of situation!

You once again in a memory lane. You saw a lady walking toward a person who's wearing a cloak who reach out a hand to her who without a ward accept it and they start walking down the foggy path with the only light is coming from the lamp from the clock figure.

"How was your life this time around?" You heard familiar voice spoke.

"Ah. Humanity are hopeless case. I or them should never judge before they know the full case... Luckily I wasn't such a saint either. " She told her life story with open minded. She once again been back stab literally by people.

She did felt betrayed and anger but the moment she left her body, she left go such emotions. She will remember each ending why those events happening in her life. She have a the role of a tragic and hopeless person who the fate greatly hate. A Canon fodder.

But instead of bottling all the hate and loath. She wasn't made to feel such emotion would thrown in her way. It's to balance her emotions and not cause her soul to break apart.

"Ah.... " The guide don't know what to reply but he hold her hand as if saying no matter what he would always be there in each end.

"D-do you wanna cry?" He ask as his voice cracking and tearful. He can feel the emotions she have when she is once alive. How she felt before she truly die.

"Can souls cry?" She ask monotonously yet single tears fall from her eyes.

"If you can't cry that easily.... I will shed tears for you! I will cry for your stead... Even how embarrassing it is!" The guide stop to look at her.

"..." She look at him. "Your the only one who stayed long with me to not hate me..." She smiled.

"I like holding your hand. It makes me calm." She added as the two start walking to the pathless path.

"I-if I could... I would always join you in your lives... But sadly I cannot. There's rules." He isn't allowed to mangle too much with people. Or else his real identity would been discovered and the danger would be so terrible.

"It's ok. We always would meet in each end." She knows her limit.

"But you know. The connection we have..." She thought about it. She gaze at their locked hands.

"I wonder if it could pass as soul mates..." She haft ested began.

"H-huh...? S-soul mate...!?" Suddenly the guide stop and start to fidget like crazy as well screams that seems to echoes in the empty path.

"W-why would y-you conclude that....?!" He is so embarrassed and red under the cloak. She giggle as his reaction.

"Maybe I'm so hopeless.... And wanted love. Maybe I fallen on love with my darling guide who always so nice too me." She tease him and he become more of a mess his hoodie fallen off.

"Y-you...r-really?" Your eyes widen as you saw familiar face yet unfamiliar how he acted in front of you. He and that person share the same looks yet they are both different people.

"Ahhhh...." He suddenly fall to the ground as he felt intense glee and happiness.

Unlike her, he was someone who's very emotional. It's to balance the guide and the soul. Or the two of them are just special case.

"Ahaha... Your ears are so red." She point out.

"N-noo... Y-your just teasing and l-lying... Aren't y-you?" He cried as he look up to her with tearful gaze.

"No. I'm not lying..." She giggle as she pat his head to comfort him. "If there's no such thing as soul mate, im free to fall in love who I want.... Unless of course you already have --"

"HIMERU Don't have any!" He quickly says as he went and hug her. He smile brightly. "O-oh!! We're going to be late!" He suddenly realize how they are in the path and quickly hold her hand and rubbed to the unknown.

"I will remember your words! Ok! Goodbye~ see you later!" His voice could be heard in far distance before everything turns to nothing

When you wake up, you were being watch by a transparent HiMERU. He was smiling innocently. Something HiMERU cannot be tagged with. That guy is too seggsy and full of sex appeal.

"H-hi?" You waved to him. He seems surprised that you can see him. "...." He mouth something but you cannot hear it but he is waving his hand. "I can't hear you...." You mumble as you point at your mouth and ear and shake your head.

"..." He once again said something yet you failed to hear it. He pout as he start to scream like but you still cannot hear it.

Tears start to build up from the corner of his eyes. His shoulder start to shake it seems it you can hear him. You could hear him wailing and sobbing.

"D-dont cry....*hic." You try to comfort him as you also start to cry with him. You reach out to held him but your hand went pass him. He saw it and he seems to wail even more as he tried to held your hand.

You also tried to held his reaching hand but failed.

"....HiMERU don't know one can go coocoo in the head after a sleep." The door open to reveal HiMERU, your still in your apartment but HiMERU seems to have access to your room.... Oh wait you give them your extra keys.

You eyes widen looking at two HiMERU.

"!!!" The transparent HiMERU run to the normal HiMERU who seems to start to complain as they hit HiMERU in the chest. HiMERU swiftly held the translucent HiMERU head to stop him from doing so but he acted like his not doing that as he smile.

"HiMERU brought you some sweets." He casually held the translucent HiMERU cheeks and squish it and throw him off to the sofa.

But the childish HiMERU is quick to his feet and tried to pull HiMERU away from you as HiMERU take a seat beside your bed.

'They sure act like brothers.' you thought as HiMERU take out a handkerchief to wipe your tears away.

"...thank you." You accepted the sweets and you remember that you have scheduled to have cooking class tomorrow. You wonder which recipe your going for this week.

"...." Your about to take bite when you felt being stared at intensely by those two. Your confuse why your seeing two HiMERU but your so sure they are both different people.

"Can I help you?" You put down the cookie without even taking a bite.

"Can't HiMERU watch you?" He look at you with false innocent while his other hand is flicking the forehead of the childish HiMERU in his lap who seems to be yelling something while crying.

"N-no... " You fidget, you look around and notice it's dark outside. "Ahm how many hours did I slept." You ask. " Enough time to drive away that person." He takes one cookies and smile at you.

'ah he most mean tatsumi. Tatsumi always leave before the sunset. He said he can't go home late.'

"You most be hungry. Do eat some." He held your cheek in one hand as the other place the cookie right on your mouth.

You can smell the sweet fruity flavor of the cookie, you realize at that moment how hungry you are. You take bite of it and somehow his smile become softer.

"It taste good..." You mumble embarrassed that he have serve you. When your perfectly fine to eat one.

"I-i can eat the rest j-just fine!" You mumble as the atmosphere seems very shoujo like for you.

"But HiMERU still want to feed you pomegranate cookies. HiMERU might suddenly turn away and you would not feed yourself right..." He false his worries as he held your face, his right thumbs wipe the crumbs away from your mouth.

"HiMERU can't help but weep when he saw you faint because that person overwhelmed you." (What lies. He also overwhelmed you.) "HiMERU is good of taking care of people. Do relay your care to HiMERU. HiMERU would take good care of you." His golden eyes stared deeply to you, you felt daze.

Somehow you could only stare as he slowly lean in but before his lips lay softly to yours a transparent hand pulled his face away.

You watch HiMERU grab hold of the childish one --who's crying and pouting-- head and a very annoyed yet with a smiling face, he squish and pull the cheeks of the other. "I have enough of you." He says.

"!!!!" The childish one trash around and pulled HiMERU necklace off his neck.

The beautiful blue swirling golden marble pendant went flying to your direction and you unconsciously catch it.

The moment you grab hold of it, you felt vibration. The marble necklace turns to a bracelet and lock itself at your wrist. As you question what happened your momentarily distracted and forget about it by the noise near you.

"-Wuwuwu!! Big brother your a meany!!" You heard someone wailing.

"Third party! Third party!" You look up to find the one yelling being the translucent HiMERU.

"H-how dare you try to seduce her!? Wuwuwu..." he complained.

" Awwwww! It hurts!!" But he cried when HiMERU squeeze his cheeks.

"....????? " Your eyes widen when you realize you can hear him now.

"Dayum.... " You don't know what to say as your to stun. "P-please don't bully your younger brother...." You reach out to stop HiMERU. He look at you. And the marble at your possession

"So you can (now) both see and hear this idiot." He stop as he point at his younger brother. Who's chocking arm lock by him.

"I-im not an idiot!"

HiMERU eyed his younger brother."Hmm... What's 12²(79 - 76⁸)³?"

"....I'm an idiot!" It seems that he don't expect his older brother is going to ask him a math problem. He did not prepared to memorize the formula before time!

"You should at least know the answer." Disappointed Asian parent, HiMERU. "It's -1.985586--" each number he said, he pinch his younger brother sides.

"it hurrrtttttssss....wuwuw....*hic." The younger brother cried as HiMERU finally let go of him, he quickly run toward you.

Since your in possession of the marble, his able to touch you. He hugs you while crying.

"S-see... Don't fall for that guy... His ugly (HiMERU: you should look to a mirror first) --personality is really a turn off!" He rudely point at his brother.

But he saw HiMERU smiling at him. He quickly take back his hand. He felt his older brother going to break his finger if he continues.

"There there..." Your ears are bleeding by how loud he is. But you cannot tell him off. Somehow his familiar. You pat his head, he look at you and now beaming with joy as you comfort him.

"... I miss you~" he says as he rubs his cheeks with yours. You froze how touchy he is. "088~ I miss you so much~" he felt so happy being seen, hear and hugs you again.

"088?" You ask in confuse as you hugs him back.

"You, of course. My precious human soul under me~ oh! Oh! If your curious why your number very low. Cause your a soul from --" his mouth is shut before he could say more.

"I don't think you be this dumb to tell confidential information." HiMERU eyed his younger who's mouth, his covering.

"Hmmhn!" - the muted younger brother.

'ah... Idk why I'm still taking this In well instead of fainting again because I'm pretty sure this is not normal.' you thought as you look at the two of them. "I... Can I..." You fidget as you look down at your hand.

"HiMERU understand if you have many questions bugging your mind. But he would like to ask if your willing to open your mind to the unknown.... Once you know it (again), you can never go back." HiMERU says as he notice the look in your face.

"... Last time, it don't end well. That fallen don't even know how to explain everything without taking to account what consequences of being too emotional around fragile human beings..." He let go of his brother who instead of saying something--look at you in the same solemn look his brother have--he walk in front of you. He held your chin up.

"HiMERU knows how fragile you are... That's why I'll show you... As long you willing to turn your back from your oblivious self..." He trace the outline of your face, he softly remove some hair strands that gotten lose to your face to the side.

You gulp. Deep inside, two side fights. One wanted to maintain being clueless and the wish to know.... you fear the unknown yet...

"I want to know...." you mumble as you still looking at his golden orbs.

"Good." As he said that. His long fingers that was cherishing your face, slowly yet swiftly gasp the back of your head, holding your head upright as he lean down.

Your eyes widen in shock as his lips softly place against yours.

His beautiful blue eyes close, you wanted to question what's happening but your mind black out and succumb to the kiss.

As you no longer ragged and willingly return the kiss, he can't help but smile against your lips.

"..." He part away but he softly kiss each of your eyelids. You open your eyes when he lean away from you. When your eyes slowly gaze at him.

"...." You cover your eyes and rubs it. Opening it again to look at him. You aren't seeing things.

HiMERU have two golden halo on top of his head like a crown. On top of his head have golden chains with orbs like eyeballs gazing down at you. In the place of his ears should been, lies beautiful feathers. And Behind him three set of feathers wings. You felt your eyes being blinded. Hes golden orbs have a two runs design reflected you. Through he still have the same casual cloths he wear earlier.

"...t-too... B-blinding...." You mumble as you close your eyes.

"Ah... S-so Y-your an angel..." You curse internally as you clearly remember what the context of the book you read before.

You remember how dangerous they are than demons. But it's fine as long you don't trigger them.

"088~ " someone tagged you. You remember that the childish HiMERU is still with you. You turn to look at him, he seems normal. You sigh in relief. At least you don't have to blind your eyes looking at the other HiMERU.

"HiMERU really can't believe humans could be this sensitive." HiMERU sigh and you suddenly went kowtowing in front of him.

" Please forgive me. Your holiness " you were force to say by something. You grit your teeth as you try to stood up but cannot.

"Eat more pomegranate..." HiMERU pulled you to his arms. the moment he held you, you suddenly become immobile and cannot rebuff him.

His bare skin touching yours, leaves tingling sensation you felt your in a cloud nine.

Luckily only his hands isn't cloth but you still felt hopeless still in his arm. he offer you the cookies from earlier.

"You need to get use to the presence of mine..." He mumble with a soft smile as you take bite of the cookie again.

Somehow you felt your not overwhelmed by his presence as you consume more of the cookies.

"Hmn..." You hummed, you felt drowsy as you look at him.

"I also want some..." The younger brother suddenly felt envious of the cookies. He look at his big brother with cute pleading look, HiMERU (the big brother) rolled his eyes and seat in the side of your bed with your still cuddle in his arms consuming the cookie. He pat the side of your bed, his younger brother quickly seat there and give feed his younger brother with his free hand.

"Thank you~" he cheerfully says as he nom the cookie beside you two. "088~ call me kana~ big brother can be called Meru~ that's not his name through." He says after he finish his cookies. "you seems to call me the childish HIMERU often (◕દ◕) I'm not childish!"

"...." Fuck, I speak out loud again' you though as you felt choking on the cookies.

"Are you a duck? Stop pouting." Meru look at his younger brother who always pout, cry and wail. "You call yourself not childish? You act like one."

"Being emotional and childish is different! ( ≧Д≦)" kana point out. Meru just rolled his eyes at his brother words. "Brother, brother~ can you leave the marble to her side? I wanna chat with her more~"

"No." -Meru

"Wuwuwu｡:ﾟ(;´∩`;)ﾟ:｡ MEANY!!" -kana

You want to cover your ears the moment kana start crying loudly again.

"Your noisy." Meru flick his brother forehead. "I--... *Hic." Kanaa held his abuse forehead. He wanna file complaints, this is child abuse. "Your very noisy and you want to stay beside her who cannot stand loud people?"

"It's fine..." You mumble after eating the last cookie. 50% fine with HiMERU somewhat true form(?).

"Don't indulge him. It will get over his head." Meru warned you right beside your ear. You shudder.

"Hmm..." He seems to enjoy your reaction. He look at you as he trace your feature with a smug grin that never seems to leave his face. You suddenly want to run away.

"No." Kana smack his brother face away from you and taken you off his brother hands.

"Third party.... Sussy brother." He glare at his brother as he tackle you into the bed.

You somehow finally able to move on your own as the invisible chains that leave you immobile earlier disappear.

"Hnmn... "You yawn as hug your body pillow. You look at the two brothers with drowsy eyes

"You guys can leave when you done playing in my room.... *Yawn.... Ahm. Explained tomorrow.... Good night...." And your slept like a baby.

The two brothers golden orbs gaze at your sleeping form that is so defenseless and open to danger that lurks.

"How long well you continue watching?" HiMERU ask the invisible person. He look at the corner. He knows someone is watching them all this time.

Through that person cannot see his younger brother who's in a weak state because of a punishment cause by what he did with that guardian angel. Where his just a spirit that can be seen by who held the marble or share link.

"...brother...." Kaname called, he eyed his brother who is smiling yet the aura around him is threatening.

".... Shouldn't you know such thing would be treated as [ stalking ]?" He knows that certain fallen been doing all those time.

He was tasked by higher up to [ protect ] You and stop certain banish one unable to lay a claim. Even it mean laying or taking what tatsumi wanted.

Since he still remember that Tatsumi is the reason why his brother is force in such situations he is in ( he refuse to admit he expected too much out of his brother to not be that stupid to side with tatsumi rebellion and protect tatsumi when humans experience the drawback of not guiding the soul back to afterlife when it's their time).

"If you say so." Tatsumi give the other tray without your mug and happily go to the living room.

HiMERU who failed to get your mug can only internally sigh. He failed to inspect what the fallen put in the mug.

He don't know what to feel at first but seeing that your enjoying HiMERU company. His thoughts finally found a conclusion.
